I appreciate these messages so much! I've been meaning to reply to them and I'm sorry it took a while, I wanted to pump out the last fic before I did and I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it so much!!! I wrote the fic when I was feeling pretty low and I honestly did not expect so many people to engage with it much less enjoy it. I honestly did not even think I could reach 800+ followers!!! I’ve decided to delude myself into believing that there’s a universe where Satoru and Reader (happily) end up together

There’s somewhere where Satoru and YN do end up happy together. There are even some universes where Satoru and YN end up in a polygamous marriage with their respective husbands, Suguru and Kento. Or a polycule with their lovers! In another universe, YN doesn’t fall in love with Satoru or Kento and ends up with Ryomen Sukuna. 🫡

Honestly though, for Satoru and YN’s relationship to work it’d require effort from both of them. In the universe where they are happy, Satoru talks about his infidelity and apologizes for it AND for neglecting YN (to the point of not realising his mother was sick), while YN admits his true feelings and hurt. It won’t be sunshine or rainbows, they’d definitely need a couple of years to have a steady relationship but they could work and be happy, tbh.

If you’re asking if they’d be happy outside of their romantic relationship/marriage - yeah, they would! Only if they talked to each other more 🧍

The main issue is Satoru and YN swept things under the rug for a decade. Satoru’s infidelity wasn’t some sleazy cheap love, it doesn’t excuse it but it certainly doesn’t mean Satoru’s some serial cheating bastard. He treasures YN a lot, he was just young and stupid. YN deserves a lot of understanding for sure but his anger took the form of a double-edged sword - it ruined their marriage (by his not wanting to return Satoru’s efforts) and destroyed his psyche.

Ultimately, they were 16 when they were promised to be wed/engaged and 17 when the Star Plasma Incident happened and by the time they were 18 they were already married. 😭

It didn’t leave them much time to recuperate from all that heavy feelings. Not to mention, Satoru and YN are important figureheads in the Gojo clan. Double whammy on their part to be perceived as perfect and proper. They were barely adults and their relationship was already complicated. 😔

Adopting Tsumiki and Megumi honestly prolonged their marriage (for better or for worse) but again, if they wanted to be happy with each other, they needed to talk. Or else their kids would still see them struggle with love. 🏃
