god LBD is such a cool well written character. she’s absolutely terrifying. she’s a chessmaster, who’s been planning her takeover for years and years. she’s an opportunist, who changes her plans on the fly whenever mk and co try to change the game. she’s always calm, always collected, always in control- until it looks like she’s about to lose, and she flies off the handle.

lbd is a character who, at her core, is about control. she controls dbk, then spider queen, then macaque, then wukong. she 100% believes her destiny is to save this world, except she’s gone so far in following it that this goal has become twisted, and whatever means she uses are justified by their glorious end.

and then, at the end, it is just her and mk, on equal ground, and her faith has been shaken by her defeat and by just how hard the people she’s “saving” have fought against her. and she manages to shake mk’s in return, probably more than anyone else has. (and then she fucking dies so he can’t even get the last word.) (even in death, even defeated, she still had control- at least over that conversation)
