@arcanigenum The raven’s croaking made old Matthias look up from the ancient tome he was painstakingly transcribing. It was only a few people who ever came down to the archives, and it was no surprise that it once again was Calvin.

“Back so soon?” he said as greeting. “I reckoned the last pile you borrowed you last you at least a fortnight.” The speed at witch the immortal went through books always amazed the old witch.  “So what subject are you interested in this time, I wonder?”

Matthias has a bio!!

I’ve given him a raven as a familiar. It suits a man who has dedicated his life to knowledge.

Matthias is quite shy and prefers the company of books over the company of people.

He is a kind, old soul with the patience of an angel and is very slow to anger. It takes a lot to rile him up.

He is so used to his solitude in the archives that he gets genuinely surprised whenever someone goes to visit him.

He keeps an impeccable registry of the exact location of every single book and document. No one but him is allowed to retrieve or return anything from the shelves. Break this rule and you'll be banned from the archives.

He is greatly skilled in magic even though he rarely casts any spells. He makes sure to properly learn every new spell he comes across.

He doesn't like being the one to approach people so when he has to he is often a bit awkward about it.
