Das Bilderbuchparadies
For me it was the most beautiful days I have ever spent travelling and we are definitely planning a remake. I had a VISA card with me and could easily withdraw money from any cash machine. The best time to travel to the South Seas is between April and October. It is warm all year round, but during the German winter time storms can occur here. Numerous caves and beaches with rock pools, which are shared with colourful fishes, attract 2000 visitors to Atiu every year. On the one-hour flight you enjoy a wonderful view of Aitutaki, one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Overnight at Aitutaki Village Garden Bungalow (Standard) or Tamanu Beach 1-bedroom Garden Bungalow Lagoon View (Superior) or Pacific Resort Aitutaki Beach Bungalow (Deluxe). The above itineraries are only suggestions, which we can adapt to your wishes. In order for us to provide you with an individual offer, please use the form below. When it comes to food, I also think you will find good restaurants everywhere. Read more about campervan hire New Zealand here. In the resorts there is of course more luxury and pampering. Here you can also be lucky and get cheap daily rates, the Walk In Rates. But backpackers know their way around better, they have already done that.

Although the island has virtually no beaches, the Tiputa Channel is probably one of the best diving areas in the world for big fish thanks to the strong currents. You don't have to be a diver to see the dolphins. During the aperitif on the terrace of the pension "Chez Joséphine" you can watch dolphins playing in the waves almost every evening. Humpback whale If you stay on Moorea between July and October, an excursion to the humpback whales off the coast is a must. During this time the humpback whales come from the polar seas into the waters of Moorea to calve.
land and people - everything fits
Also the underwater fauna is an experience for passionate divers with barracudas, tuna, stingrays or reef sharks. Island hopping without motor A great way to discover the northern part of the lagoon is by kayak. You rent a kayak for half a day at Ootu Beach next to the airport and paddle from island to island. All islands are uninhabited, so make sure you bring enough water and sun cream.

Cook-Islands: Great round trips & study trips for 2020 / 2021
During the Second World War American troops built a runway which is still used for air traffic today. The airfield with 1800 m long runway is located on the Outu Peninsula in the northeast. Several times a day there are flights with Air Rarotonga from and to Aitutaki. Not only the islands seem to be out of this world, but also their inhabitants. Only the southern archipelago, to which Aitutaki also belongs, is touristically developed. Northeast of New Zealand, the Cook Islands are far away from everyday stress. Rarotonga is the largest island with wonderful mountains and the capital Avarua.

Aitutaki
On this South Sea round trip we take you to Rarotonga and Aitutaki. On the Cook Islands, many traditions of Polynesian culture await you, in which you should definitely immerse yourself a little. You can watch the typical dances, shop for handicrafts at the local markets or get to know the culinary side of the islands at the night markets. Food and dancing is best combined at Te Vara Nui Village on Rarotonga. Here you can join a Cultural Village tour or enjoy the rousing music and dancing at a typical island dinner. Snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, horseback riding, bush walks, diving for everyone in PADI. A German-speaking diving school is located not far from your accommodation. There you will learn a lot about the history, the traditional culture and the extraordinary skills of the natives. So how about crowning your trip to New Zealand or Australia with a holiday in the South Seas? I promise you - these islands will quickly find their way into your heart. Passionate divers and snorkelers should definitely head for Aitutaki Island. In addition to the snow-white beaches, an underwater world awaits you here that is second to none. It is the most densely populated and home to about 10,000 islanders.
Day 1: Arrival on the paradisiacal island
|}
On the coast in the north of the South Sea Island you will find the Ministry of Marine Resources, where visitors can get information about the marine life of the region during a guided tour.
You just have to tickle out the details.Polynesia, the Cooks can keep up with that; incl. diving I want to go diving in any case, maybe also the Open Water certificate. On Rarotonga restaurants/cafes are no problem, there is good quality in all price ranges. The trip was anything but a bargain, but I would have loved to spend it for nothing. to explore the tropical garden of the resort. Check out of your accommodation after a successful morning and take our transfer to the airport, from where you will be taken back to the main Cook Island. The return flight offers you a perfect end to your stay on the island, enjoy the view again! Arriving on Rarotonga you will sleep one more night before your return flight to Europe or New Zealand leaves the next day. Read more about campervan hire New Zealand here.
Dive into the turquoise lagoon of Aitutaki and explore the caves and birdlife of the still very pristine island of Atiu. Many travellers are deterred by the high cost of airfare to Aitutaki and stay only on Rarotonga.

Cook Islands
They are distributed in the South Pacific over an area that is six times bigger than Germany.
For me it was the most beautiful days I ever spent travelling and we are definitely planning a remake.
> For today we decided to take the sportive option and rented canoes and snorkeling equipment for free at the accommodation. This is the perfect way to get to know the breathtaking underwater world, which you should not miss! You will see many different species of fish in many different colours, sometimes so unreal colourful as if they came from another planet. With this module you will discover the small atoll Aitutaki north of Rarotonga. The name alone suggests that there is a small South Sea paradise behind it, where you can enjoy yourself.
First to Rarotonga, the largest Cook Island with 67 square kilometres, and then on to the postcard motif island Aitutaki. It is a mixture of atoll and volcanic island. As if guided by God's hand, a reef of about 40 kilometres in length and a wide lagoon once developed here, offering relaxation for all senses. Rangiroa As divers we have heard a lot about Rangiroa. Inland, the land is marshy and fertile, volcanic soil. In order to reach them better, the natives have carved steps into the cliffs. Flight to Aitutaki and transfer to your resort. Restaurants on Rarotonga and Aitutaki?
You can watch the typical dances of the country, shop for handicrafts at the local markets or get to know the culinary side of the islands at the night markets.
Snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing - pure relaxation is the order of the day.
After all, even in paradise there were no hotel blocks.lie hidden between lagoons, palm beaches and white sand, embedded in the almost boundless blue of the Pacific - the Cook Islands. The capital of Rarotonga, if you can call the small village Avarua, is Avarua. Restaurant and coffee shop/café, pool bar and bar/lounge, W-LAN high-speed Internet access is available for a fee. Arrival with Air New Zealand from Frankfurt via London - Los Angeles - Rarotonga . This trip is only a suggestion - we will be happy to incorporate any changes or requests you may have into this trip. Read more about campervan hire New Zealand here.
crossing the island on foot
We will send you your personal offer as soon as possible. We were on the Cooks three years ago, but time is different there anyway, so not much will have changed. I have travelled individually (from New Zealand) and would do so again anytime. But since there are relatively small islands that are quite far away, I don't think there will be many package deals. The latter have been cultivated for centuries, because not only the tubers taste good, but also the plate sized leaves can be prepared like spinach. A beach holiday at Aitutaki means total relaxation and complete deceleration. Recommended are boat trips to the so-called motu, small uninhabited atolls, including a reef walk.

For the last 4 nights we have selected the Little Polynesian in Titikaveka.
To many of the islands we also offer day trips.choreographies are partly traditional, partly mixed with modern elements and also the impressive costumes are a combination of tradition and modernity.

Hind the eyes of many people are happy that it happened this way.

The following days are filled with the rhythm of the drums and the expressive, traditional dance performances that tell the story and life of the islanders. The choreographies are partly traditional, partly mixed with modern elements and the impressive costumes are also a combination of tradition and modernity. The resorts naturally offer more luxury and pampering. Here one can probably also be lucky and get cheap daily rates, the Walk In Rates. But there, the backpackers know better, they already did that. They are always in a good mood and radiate a touch of calmness, according to the motto "in the silence lies the power". Holidaymakers can already convince themselves of this on arrival. They welcome every visitor with a colourful wreath of flowers and give them an enchanting smile. You should get off at the latest atMuri Beach, which is considered to be the most beautiful beach of the whole island. The latter is the largest of the Cook Islands with a diameter of eleven kilometres at its widest point.
