Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are proud to announce the signing of 2004-born defenceman Tre Fouquette to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.
Fouquette, a Warman, SK, product, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft by the Raiders.
Listed at 5’11 and 181-lbs at the Raiders’ 2019 Training Camp, Fouquette suited up for the Warman Wildcats for the 2018-19 season. He had 15 goals and six assists in 27 games for the Wildcats and added tow goals and four assists in five postseason games.
Fouquette will play the 2019-20 season with the SMHL’s Prince Albert Mintos. He suited up in the Mintos’ first two games of the season, helping his midget club to a pair of wins to start the year.
Fouquette is the second member of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft class to sign his Standard Player Agreement, joining first-round selection Niall Crocker.

The Barrie Colts have received a commitment from 11th overall 2019 CHL Import Draft selection Arturs Silovs.
The Latvian netminder was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft and recently attended Training Camp with the NHL club.
A 6-foot-4, 203Ib. goaltender, Silovs spent last season with HS Riga of Latvia’s top professional circuit, posting a 3.26 goals-against-average and .914 save percentage over 20 contests. He also represented Latvia at the IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship.
The 18-year-old had a solid OHL debut on Saturday night, turning aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced to earn second star honours in a 6-2 win over the London Knights in Barrie’s home opener.

Kingston — The Kingston Frontenacs are pleased to announce the signing of Ethan Ritchie to a Standard Player Agreement.
Ritchie, a 6-foot, 205 lbs. defenceman from Oakville, Ont. was selected 81st overall by the Erie Otters in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. The Frontenacs acquired Ritchie via waiver claim on October 4th, 2019.
Ritchie played minor hockey with the Oakville Rangers and was a teammate of Frontenacs assistant captain Jake Murray.
Since being drafted by the Otters, he has played with the Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL. In 55 games with the Raiders he has scored seven goals and four assists.
“Ethan is a gritty defenceman that is also capable of moving the puck.” said GM Darren Keily. “We are excited to add him to our team and we believe he will contribute for the next three or four seasons.”

Brandon, Man. – The Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that they expect to have a full complement of imports on their 2019-20 roster.
The WHL club has confirmed that Finnish forward Marcus Kallionkieli has signed his transfer card and is expected to join the Wheat Kings in 2019-20.
A 6-foot-2, 195-pound Helsinki, Finland product, Kallionkieli was selected 22nd overall in June’s Canadian Hockey League Import Draft by Brandon. He was also a fifth-round selection, 139th overall, of the Vegas Golden Knights in June’s National Hockey League draft and recently signed an entry-level contract with the Golden Knights.

SARNIA, ON - Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced today that the Hockey Club has received a commitment from Pennsylvania native Ty Voit.
Selected in the 5th round (89th overall) by the Sting in the 2019 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, the 2003 born forward brings an elite skillset to a promising young forward core. As a member of the 2018-2019 Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U15 team Voit recorded 18 points in 18 games played (8 goals, 10 assists.)
Voit was also a member of the 2019 All-American Prospects U15 team in which he had 3 goals in 6 tournament games played.
“This is a big day for our hockey club with Ty making the commitment to pursue his hockey career in Sting colours. He possesses high-end skill and the ability to make elite offensive plays with little time and space. His natural hockey instincts and I.Q. for the game will be exciting for Sting fans to watch. SARNIA, ON – Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair announced today that 18-year old defenceman Justin Nolet has committed to the Ontario Hockey League with the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club.
Nolet was the Sting’s 14th round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection and was a participant in the team’s 2019 Training Camp in late August.
Nolet’s commitment to the Sting comes as he has been skating with the Toronto Patriots of the OJHL, where he is enjoying a fine start to his season with nine points in as many games. In the 2018-19 season with the Patriots, The Mississauga, ON. native recorded nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 49 games, and was named to the All Prospect Second Team in the OJHL.
Prior to joining the Toronto Patriots, Nolet skated for his hometown Mississauga Senators at the minor midget level, and was a member of the Senators at the OHL Cup in the 2016-17 season, along with teammate Anthony Tabak.
Sarnia Sting General Manager Nick Sinclair comments on today’s signing, “Justin is extremely well deserving of this opportunity. He has done everything we have asked of him in the last two seasons, and he has continued to develop at a high level and quickly became an elite defenceman in the OJHL. SAGINAW, MI – The Saginaw Spirit announced Thursday the signing of two players in advance of the team’s participation in the Preseason Showcase beginning Friday afternoon in Kitchener, Ontario.
The Spirit have come to terms with left wing Sebastian Bulovs and defenseman Roberto Mancini on an OHL Standard Player Agreement and Education Package.
“As an organization, we are pleased that these two players have committed to be a part of the Saginaw Spirit family, said General Manager Dave Drinkill. “By signing Sebastian and Roberto, we continue to build our team with homegrown talent. Sebastian brings an element of speed and skill, while we like the grit and mobility that Roberto brings to our defense. We look forward to watching them grow as hockey players, and as people.”
Bulovs, 17, was taken in the fourth round, 65th overall, in the 2018 Under-17 Priority Selection Draft. Bulovs spent the 2018-19 season with the Brampton Admirals in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, scoring seven goals and six assists in 47 games.
Mancini, 16, is a 2019 draft pick, selected in the fifth round, 88th overall, out of the Mississauga Reps Midget program. The Vaughan, Ontario native led all defenseman on his team in scoring with 12 goals, and 17 assists, for 29 points in 49 games.
Both Bulovs and Mancini will join the rest of their teammates at the Preseason Showcase in Kitchener this weekend.

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed 16-year-old forward Sloan Stanick, 17-year-old forward Josh Paulhus, 16-year-old defencemen Daylan Weigel and Parker Berge as well as 15-year-old defenceman Jacob Dewitt to Standard WHL Player Agreements, presented by Signpatico.
Stanick was acquired by the Pats from the Everett Silvertips in January of this year, the trade that sent Robbie Holmes to the Silvertips. Stanick was originally a seventh-round pick, 145th overall, in 2018.

The first-round selection of the Felines in the last draft had a very good training camp, which allowed him to make his place with the team at the age of 16.
"Maxime has proven to us that he has all the tools to play in the QMJHL this season. He is a young man who is extremely mature despite his young age and who behaves very well both on and off the rink. We are confident he will be a top player in the next few years, "said Tigres General Manager Kevin Cloutier.
Pellerin will be in uniform for the first time on the preparatory calendar tonight, while the Shawinigan Cataractes will be visiting Victoriaville. Last year, the striker had 15 goals and 27 assists, for a total of 42 points in as many games with the Trois-Rivières Estacades in the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League.

The Cape Breton Eagles have announced that 2019 draft picks, defenseman Jérémy Langlois and centre David Doucet, have both signed with the club for the 2019-20 season.
Langlois and Doucet were the first two players chosen by the Eagles in the 2019 entry draft. Langlois was selected 17th overall, in the first round, from Cyclones de Québec of the Québec midget espoir team. Doucet was chosen 25th overall, in the second round, from the Under 16 team of Newbridge Academy prep school in Nova Scotia.
Both players participated in Canada’s national under-17 development camp this summer, an evaluation for the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge. Last season Langlois collected 29 points in 32 games with the Cyclones while Doucet produced nine points in nine games for Newbridge.

The Hamilton Bulldogs are proud to announce the signing of Ryan Humphrey to a standard player agreement. Humphrey was the Bulldogs’ 8th round selection, 150th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
Coming to the Bulldogs organization, the Northville, MI native made a big impact in training camp following up a very strong campaign for the Honeybaked U16 program which saw Humphrey total 24 goals & 40 assists for 66 points across 75 games playing both at the Midget level as well as the HPHL U16.
To begin his 2019-20 season Humphrey was selected to be a part of the USA Select 16 development camp where he posted an impressive 4 goals & 3 assists for 7 points in 5 games.
President & General Manager, Steve Staios says “We are thrilled to have received a commitment from Ryan. He has all the characteristics of what it means to be a Hamilton Bulldog. Our fans will really enjoy watching Ryan’s growth and development over the next number of years. He has a very bright future.”

The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have signed 2002-born forward Davin Griffin to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement.
Griffin was acquired by the Cougars from the Prince Albert Raiders for a conditional draft selection earlier this month. He was originally drafted by the Raiders in the fifth-round, 100th overall, in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Regina, Saskatchewan product played the last two seasons with the Saskatoon Contacts in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. Last season the 5’10, 157-pound forward finished third in scoring on the Contacts, as he compiled 46 points (26g, 20a) in 43 regular season games. He also was the top goal-scorer on the Contacts. The season prior, in his first year of Midget, Griffin led the Contacts in scoring with 35 points (17g, 18a) in 39 games. In his Bantam Draft season, Griffin was the top goal-scorer the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League with 50 goals in 30 regular season games.
Prince George made other roster moves on Thursday returning forward Fischer O’Brien (’03) to the Cariboo Cougars in the B.C. Major Midget League. Defenceman Ethan McColm (’02) will join the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Ilijah Colina has been placed on the Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury. After today’s moves the Cougars roster sits at 24: two goaltenders, eight defenceman, and 14 forwards.

Saskatoon, Sask. – The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to announce the signing of both Libor Zabransky and Radek Kucerik, a pair of Czech defensemen, to Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreements.
“We’re very excited that Libor and Radek have both committed to the Blades by signing their WHL Standard Player Agreements. Both have extensive experience playing internationally for Czech Republic and instantly add depth to our defence,” stated Blades’ General Manager Colin Priestner.
The 19-year-old Zabransky was selected 55th overall by the Blades at the 2019 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft. Previously, Zabransky played in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets from 2017 until 2019, recording 28 points (4G-24A) in 107 games. He logged an additional 16 points (4G-12A) in 30 games with the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League in 2019.
Radek Kucerik was selected in the second round, 115th overall, by the Blades at the 2019 CHL Import Draft. His career highlights include winning the Czech U20 Championship with the Brno Comets in 2017-18 and winning Bronze with Czech Republic at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in 2017. For the 2018-19 season, Kucerik scored 23 points (6G-17A) in 43 games as captain of the Brno Comets’ U19 side and also played an additional 4 games between the Czech Extraliga & the Chance Liga.

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg ICE Hockey Club announced on Wednesday that the organization has signed CHL Import Draft picks Michal Teply and Nino Kinder to WHL Standard Player Agreements.
The ICE selected Teply 4th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.
Teply is a 2019 fourth round draft pick (105th overall) of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks. The Havlickuv Brod, Czech Republic native, recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points in 23 games with HC Benatky nad Jizerou in Czech2 during the 2018-2019 regular season. The six-foot-three, 187-pound forward represented his country at the 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship. The 2001-born Teply also suited up at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and at the 2018 World Junior A Challenge.
The ICE selected Kinder 64th overall in the 2019 CHL Import Draft.
The 2001-born forward played in 33 regular season games with Eisbaren Juniors Berlin U20 of Deutsche Nachwuchs Liga U20 last season. In those 33 games, the six-foot-three, 163-pounder registered 17 goals and added 24 assists for 41 points. In the playoffs, he added two goals and eight points in five games.
Kinder suited up for Germany at the 2019 IIHF World U18 Hockey Championship in April. Kinder helped his team go undefeated in Division 1 play and was tied for most points at the conclusion of the tournament.
In late June, Kinder attended Los Angeles Kings development camp.

Greater Sudbury, ON - Sudbury Wolves Vice President and General Manager Rob Papineau is pleased to announce that 19-year-old defenceman Adam Samuelsson has committed to the hockey club.
The Rye, New York native was selected by the Wolves in the fifth round of the 2016 OHL Entry Draft. He spent the next two seasons as a member of the USA National Development program. The 6-foot-6, 235lbs. defenceman began last season with Boston College and left the school to join the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL in December of last season.
“Adam is a player that our organization has thought very highly of since he was drafted. We are very pleased that Adam and his family decided to continue his career at this time by joining our team,” said Papineau. “Adam comes to us from a very strong hockey family with his father (two-time Stanley Cup Champion, Ulf Samuelsson) playing over 1000 NHL regular season games. Adam has always been one of the top 2000 born defenceman in the United States and we look forward to him being a strong addition to our blueline this season.”
“I am super excited for the opportunity to join the Wolves this season,” said Samuelsson. “I strongly considered this decision last season around this time and after discussing in detail with my family, I felt that this is the best opportunity for me. I have heard many great things about Coach Stillman and the team as being a great organization that has a strong hockey history. I am looking forward to helping the team be successful and hopefully help Sudbury win a Memorial Cup.”

Flint, Mich. – The Flint Firebirds announced today that goaltender Peyton Grainer (pronounced Grain-Er) has committed to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement and education package with the Firebirds.
“We are thrilled to announce that Peyton and his family have committed to the Flint Firebirds,” said Flint Firebirds Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Barclay Branch. “Peyton is a good young goaltender that is fundamentally sound and possesses a high compete level.”
Grainer, a native of Livonia, Mich., was heavily recruited with NCAA options before choosing to continue his hockey and academic development in Flint. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound netminder has spent the last seven years playing among the best AAA youth hockey organization’s in the world.
