The skin against his hands, under the blanket, was already warmer.  

When Billy woke again, Steve was sweaty and half-undressed from holding a sleeping dragon for hours in front of a roaring fire.  Billy jerked against his shoulder, clenching a scaled fist.  “How does it work,” he asked, pushing away to keep his eyes steady on Steve’s, as he ran his claws over his own throat, and slid them along his wrists and ankles.

“How does what work?”  Steve held up a cup of water, and Billy took it, pausing in his inspection of the bare patch of skin where the seal on his magic had been.

“What happens to me when I drink this,” he enunciated clearly, taking a deep breath.  His scales scraped the sides of the silver cup, and Steve winced.

“I—I think you’re still—you were disoriented.  It’s just water.”

Billy growled, water running down his arm as his claws pierced the metal.  “Stop—you just—” He trailed off, then jerked away to sit at the other end of the pile of furs.  “...you’re out of my debt, is that the deal?  I didn’t wake up in sigil chains, but you don’t owe me anything—you don’t have to keep touching me—”

Steve scooted close enough to grab Billy’s scaled hand, and pressed his lips to its knuckles.  Billy tipped to bury his face against Steve’s neck, breathing shakily, and Steve turned the hand in his so he could kiss Billy’s fingers, and palm, and down his wrist.  “I couldn’t move, under your lead ass.  But.  Thank you,” he whispered.  “Thanks so much for helping.  You didn’t have to.  You’d have been safe.”

Steve was staring at the side the falling blanket had revealed, in the firelight—long clawmarks in pink skin, stretched with age, and a healed jagged tear.  He smoothed his hand along the shiny areas between the freckles.  “Wait, you—you’re the little dragon.”

Billy took a shaky breath, his hand jerking toward his side, then shook his head.  “Now you know why I have to help clean up my mess.”

“I’m so glad you’re okay,” Steve breathed, grabbing him by the shoulders, and pulling him down into a hug.  “I think you weigh as much as my horse—”

Billy snorted a laugh, rolling them to the side.  “...holding you to the one night.”  He glanced up through his lashes, biting his lip, and Steve couldn’t resist.

“...you know it’s almost morning, right?” he whispered back.  “You’ve already had your night.”

“Maybe.”

 Right at the moment Steve least cared, a thumping came at the door.  He groaned, ignoring it, and heard Billy laugh behind him.  

“Your highness,” came a kid’s voice.  “It’s important!”  

“...can wait,” Steve mumbled, but the thumping turned into banging, and Billy pulled away.  

“They’re gonna break the door.”  He pressed a kiss against Steve’s butt, and Steve growled, staggering to his feet, and yanking his trousers up.  The pounding continued. She ran to Billy and threw her arms around his neck, red hair streaming behind her, and Billy spun them around as she tried to climb him and look him over.

“His highness asked me for help,” Billy grinned down, and she punched his shoulder, then punched it again.

“That’s a dragon?  He looks like you found him braiding his pretty hair in a tower, Steve—” Dustin wrinkled his nose.

“It’s still cold, even though she closed the Gates of Winter,” Lucas growled, shivering.

“Even though Billy made her close the gates,” Steve sighed, nodding.   He rubbed his face, watching Dustin follow Billy around asking questions like “So if you ate a drumstick now, and then if you puked it up as a dragon, would it be a drumstick big enough for a whole village,” and “Don’t you think it’s irresponsible, Steve, that he could make infinite food with dragon puke, and there are hungry people out there that could be eating dragon puke.”

Steve dropped to lie back across his bed.  “If he’d just pay his taxes, there wouldn’t be hungry—” their ears popped as Billy transformed back into a dragon, which took up most of the room, then grabbed Steve and held him up in both claws.

Lucas grabbed Max, and Dustin, and some other kid Steve couldn’t see in the mass of dragon, and probably a few more, and yelled “GOODBYE!”, and the door slammed.

Steve looked around the mountains of scales surrounding him, and wished he had a rope.  Possibly a grappling hook.  He began scrambling up, putting a foot on Billy’s elbow—and the dragon promptly stretched his leg, dropping Steve back into his gleaming golden trap.  He huffed a sigh, and tried pulling himself up with dorsal scales, only to have Billy roll just enough onto his back that they yanked out of his hands.  “...help,” he gritted out, finally, and Billy snorted.  

“I think I hear an unsexy tax collector.”  He thumped his grinning face down next to Steve, upside down, so Steve was looking down at his chin.  “Is there a tax collector in my scales?  Maybe there’s a salve for this kind of infestation—”

Steve dropped to the floor, hugging his knees, and leaned against Billy’s cheek. “You did agree to pay when you signed your papers—”

While Robb was walking through the streets and market place of Winterfell. Robb began to hear things. People were muttering things. At first thought Robb wasn't bothered because the people of Winterfell liked to talk rumours and gossip, that was until Robb overheard what the people were saying. 

"I can't believe the King fucked another woman! And now she is with child! I always presumed that our King was would be an exception to the tradition of Kings fucking whores. The poor Queen, she's always been so nice and elegant, she takes time for all of us. She is a true Queen."

Once he arrived in the throne room, Robb took a seat furiously gripping hold of the end of the throne. His nails digging deep into the wood. 

“You summoned me, my King.” The noble whore spoke softly, her voice beginning to annoy Robb. Why had he fucked her in the first place?"

“She has been with my children! In time she will be with my child once again.” Robb threw a nearby cup toward the wall.

“Baring your child. How would that ever occur when she refuses to look at you. When are you going to face the truth that you have lost your precious Y/N. Robb began his path of destruction, throwing tables, launching chairs. The noble whore shrunk into herself. Robb had been like this once before, the day that Ned Stark was murdered.

“I want my wife! I want my wife now!” Robb yelled Catelyn who had just been with Y/N after walking in on Y/N staring thoughtfully at her wedding gown. The commotion had caught her attention. As Catelyn directed herself to the throne room she was horrified by the sight. Robb had officially lost it.

“I want my wife! Where’s my wife?” Robb’s hands were cut up pretty badly. Yet the sadness and desperation was too much for Catelyn to handle. She couldn’t bare to see her son in so much pain.

“I’ll go fetch her.” Catelyn then ran with all her might to get Y/N before things got worse.”

Y/N was sitting with Y/F/S/N, he hardly slept all night so Y/N had decided to take him to their chambers to see if the comfort of their bed would do any better.

“Momma, do you think Daddy will come and lay with us?” Y/N looked down at her son as she stroked her hands through his hair.

“Maybe, only if he is not busy, would you like us to spend more time together?” Y/F/S/N nodded eagerly when Catelyn stormed into the room.

“Y/N, you need to come quickly, it's Robb.” Y/N slipped out of bed, looking towards Y/F/S/N.

“Will you stay here with him? Where’s Robb?”

“Of course, he’s in the throne room? Y/N rushed towards the door.

“Honey, stay here with Nan, I’m just going to fetch Daddy.” Y/N began running towards the throne room, she had forgotten the sad that Robb had caused. Her husband needed her, he was her priority right now.

Entering the throne room, the room was completely destroyed, Robb was sitting in the corner of the room on the floor. As soon as their eyes met, Y/N ran over towards her husband.

“Take her to the Maester, after put her in a cell, obviously she can’t be trusted in public. Can someone also prepare the King a bath, with those soothing salts that we use for Y/F/S/N sometimes?

“Now you appear playing the doting wife.” The noble whore snapped, Y/N, rolled her eyes before standing up.

“This is undoubtedly your fault! From now on you are not allowed to deal with Robb alone, you deal with both of us and since you struggled with being given freedom. So you will you will have none. Until we work out proper accommodation, you will stay in the Dungeon. Guards take her away. I can’t bare to look at her anymore. Now everyone please leave, I and the King need some privacy.” Once everyone had left the room, Y/N took Robb’s calloused hands in her soft petite ones,  his hands were out specifically on his knuckles were trickling down his hands. Robb is not a violent man unless it's absolutely necessary Y/N knew that the noble whore must have pushed Robb past his boundaries.

“Your grace is that everything.” A young maid called out. 

“Yes, that will be all.” Y/N called out as she stepped out from the partition, as soon as everyone had left, Robb stood from his seat on the edge of the bed, his wife had changed from one of his thicker dresses to one of her thinner dresses. Robb suddenly remembered what he had from Y/N earlier, looking underneath the bed everything was still present, he quickly regained his posture as Y/N watched on confused.

“What are you doing?” Y/N asked as she began to approach Robb with a softened gaze than she had given Robb in a long time. 

“I have a surprise for you later that’s all.” Y/N nodded as Robb closed the gap between them. Y/N looked at Robb with uncertainty. 

“I promise with all my heart, I will never hurt you again.” Y/N, put her hands on Robb’s cloak, removing it slowly as she slipped it off Robb’s shoulders. Y/N moved to drop it over a chair before returning in front of Robb. 

“I promise to love and cherish you, for the rest of our lives together. You’ve always been the love of my wife,  the centre of my existence. Coming to an agreement with your parents over our betrothal was the best thing my parents have ever done.” Taking off Robb’s shirts Y/N admired Robb just like she had the first time. Tears fell as she listened to Robb’s words Y/N to wipe her tears away but Robb had stopped her. 

“I have hurt you beyond compare, but I will never do it again. The feelings that have engulfed me as I watched you turn into a shell of the woman I love. I intend with all my heart to fix my wrongdoings. I will love you with everything best to me. We shall get back to the way we used to be. Starting from this very moment I can go a second longer without holding you without  you being aware." Y/N's ears perked up especially at Robb's last comment. 

"What do you mean holding without my knowledge?" Y/N asked as Robb pulled her close to him.

"I've been waking from my slumber to find you very cosy on my chest." Y/N blushed deeply as she looked down. 

"Don't look down my love. I intend to share many evenings that way." Robb looked down towards Y/N as she slowly undid his slacks.

"I also have the intent to make many more happy occasions. As Robb was fully unclothed, he took a step into his bath as Y/N crouched beside him.

“Love I am King of the North. If I want something to happen then it shall, besides I want to get these blessed.” Y/N sat up to see what Robb was talking about, Robb opened the box to reveal two golden rings. 

“What are those?” Y/N asked as Robb sat down beside her and then Robb got another idea. 

“Wait here a second.” Robb quickly got out of bed throwing on the nearest set of clothing before heading out of the door. Y/N sat on the bed, analysing her situation with Robb. She definately hadn’t completely forgiven him, but since Robb was trying she thought she’d give him a little bit of slack. When Robb returned the sound of Tiny foosteps followed. 

“Momma,” Y/F/S/N stepped into the room, his wearily little face made her eyes lit up. 

“Hey, how you feeling?” Not good Momma.” Y/F/S/N began swying and Y/N was quick to get out of bed it was Robb who caught him with his spare arm. 

“What’s wrong with him?” Robb asked as he crouched down so he could pick Y/F/S/N up. 

“Robb, I don’t know! He wasn’t feeling well earlier, I presumed that it was because he hadn’t slept well.” Observing how pale Y/F/S/N  had become. 

“Robb we need to get him to the Maester.” Robb nodded as he handed Y/S/S/N to Y/N before Robb began running through the castle towards the Maesters office quarters. Y/N was in a blind panic, how could she have thought nothing was wrong. She began to panic. 

“Someone bring Jon and Catelyn to me now! Bring them to the Maesters quarters being careful of Y/S/S/N. When she arrived the Maester was already examining Y/F/S/N. She broke down seeing her beautiful baby unconscious, Robb moved to his wife wrapping his arms around Y/N holding her and Y/S/S/N close to him. He finally was making progress with her and now his son had fallen ill. Robb had to maintain his calm composure yet inside yet on the inside Robb was panicking. “Y/F/S/N!” Jon called as he stood beside his nephew while the Maester worked to diagnose the young boy's condition. 

“Your Grace, I have come to a primary diagnosis" 

"Well, what is it?"  Robb yelled Robb did not have the patience to deal with waiting to hear about his son. 

"Your Grace has been poisoned, I'm about to give the young Prince that will draw the poison out until I can diagnose proper treatment, it was most likely digested." Y/N pulled away and turned to Robb in concern. 

"Robb, poison is a woman's weapon. Who wants you all to herself?" Y/N asked as and he shook his head.

"Robb, it's more than likely the reasoning for Y/F/S/N's condition. He admitted that he had escaped from Marie's care the other day, he told me that he wanted to confront the woman who kept upsetting his Mother. He told me that he didn't want Marie to get into trouble and that she was running around trying to find him.” 

“I’m going to kill her!” Jon hissed running his hands over his curly hair. 

“No! she lives.” Y/N replied Jon and Robb looked at her puzzled. 

“Love, how can you say that. She could have poisoned our son!”
