Besides all the cringe fan service in the show, I really love Classroom of the Elite. Main characters are usually those stupid but lovable characters (Naruto, Luffy, etc. who I love!!), but Ayanokoji Kiyotaka is definitely not. The timing of his true thoughts reveal was perfect. The last possible second of the first season and just… It was beautiful.

I like that many of the characters aren’t like they are supposed to be. Kushida is one. I hope Ayanokoji gets tired of her despite what Horikita wants and that his plan to be rid of her comes true. I want to see her lose. And I want to see her face as she realizes she was so outclassed by Ayanokoji that she never had a chance and he allowed her to continue… that’ll be a great time for me.

Season 2 starts showing a little more of Ayanokoji’s lack of interest in most things to the others which is amazingly awesome. The way he got Karuizawa on his side… terrifying. And his absolute destruction of Ryuen and subsequent insurance of Karuizawa’s loyalty (and all of it was planned)… *chef’s kiss*. Then he doesn’t let Ryuen go cause he’s still useful 😂

The fact that in any other situation Horikita could be a main character is hilarious. She’s got that self righteous attitude and often believes she is the one that comes up with ideas even though Ayanokoji practically manipulated her to give her all the information and answers she needs. Honestly, I find it a bit annoying that she is so naive/innocent, but that isn’t shocking since I usually feel like that for main characters that just don’t get it. That whole confrontation of Ryuen, Koenji, and Sakayanagi was a good example of Horikita just not getting it.

I love a good manipulation when it isn’t happening to me and the whole situation is just hilarious to me. The amount of “pawns” he has in play is great. I really hope they don’t diminish that by making it as if he needs to be fixed or something. Learning to be a little open to a couple people is one thing, but completely changing his personality is something I hope goes very carefully.

I really need to read the manga now!

I’m looking forward to the next season (whenever that may be)!

Classroom of the Elite: Review

Classroom of the Elite is a Psychological Thriller Japanese light novel written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose and was adapted into an anime television series produced by Lerche. The first episode aired in 2017 which already had a fanbase prior to its adaptation, the second season aired from July 2022 to September 2022. Positive results from the first two seasons led to the release of the third season in January 2024

Koudo Ikusei Senior High School is a prestigious high school with nearly one hundred percent placement in either University or in the corporate world with its state-of-the-art facilities. the school, however, has a unique system where the students are given points based on their behavior, merits, achievements, and other factors. These points then can be used to buy goods and services on the campus while their connection with the outside world is cut off.

The main protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji wants a quiet high school life and wants to make friends but as the story unfolds one can tell his drive to be in the school goes deeper than what is on the surface meaning he wants a life away from his father. He was placed in class D because he scored 50 out of hundred in his entrance exam. Suzune Horikita is one of the main characters in the series and upon introduction, it was clear that she wanted to climb the social hierarchy ladder. Unlike Ayanokoji, she wanted to do nothing with social constructs like friendship, this was one of the reasons why she was placed in class D. Although she was good academically, she just couldn’t work with others, she also worked towards one goal, which was to be recognized by her own brother who is also the school council president, Manabu Horikita.

Kei Karuizawa is yet another main protagonist and is considered to be the class leader because of her strong personality and becoming the girlfriend of Yosuke Hirata who was considered as the class representative. Kei had her fair share of secrets under the mask that she would rather keep to herself than let anyone know. Arisu Sakayanagi is another female lead and she is the class representative of Class A, her connection with Ayanokoji is yet to be revealed. Kikyō Kushida is a major antagonist of the anime, she befriends everyone with only one intention in her mind relating to Horikita. Kakeru Ryūen another antagonist of the anime and the class representative of class C. He is a rather well-known delinquent and is also known to lead his class through fear rather than trust.

Koudo Ikusei Senior High School has its students divided into four sections based on its own ranking from class A being the highest, to class D being at the bottom also known as the defective classroom. Each class is initially allotted equal amounts of points which were used to buy everything on campus however after the first class they have to earn these points based on various factors like behavior, achievements, etc. Ayanokoji who was initially an indifferent person makes it clear to the viewers that he possesses some unique abilities and intelligence. He alone navigated and found the complexities of the point systems. He makes alliances with various students to help him do what he wants. The anime explores the personal growth and development of various other characters as they face challenges presented by the school environment. This is anime consists various hidden agendas to keep its viewers intrigued and always leave them asking for more. The characters' true motivations and backgrounds are uncovered as the narrative unfolds. The school encourages intense competition among students, leading them to gain various useful skills. The school itself holds secrets and characters discover mysteries and hidden elements within the institutions.

Being In A Fake Relationship With The Kōdo Ikusei Senior High Boys

Day Two of The Underrated And The Unwritten

Notes: I'm so excited to write for this fandom! I honestly loved the anime and think the plot is so cool.

Warnings: kinda dark themes? like mentions of what normally happens in the anime

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji

Pretending to be in a relationship with you certainly wasn't Ayanokoji's first choice. If anything, he would rather not have to exert so much energy trying to be romantically involved with someone.

However, since the relationship benefits him in some way or another, he chooses to keep up the act and pretend to like you.

You are none the wiser and don't even realise that the relationship could be faked. Since he's always so reclused it's easy for you to brush off his lack of physical affection.

This plays to his advantage since even wrapping his arm around your waist is seen as a sign of affection on his part, making it easier for him to pretend to be attracted to you.

When you're in a relationship with him, Kiyotaka will do everything to ensure you never catch on to his real feelings. He'll plan occasional dates and even pace himself to be more and more affectionate to you over time.

If you do catch onto his real feelings then he isn't afraid to switch to manipulation and other such tactics to get his way.

He'll be nice until you force him not to be (aka cause problems and don't listen).

When it comes to PDA Kiyotaka doesn't really care. He will do anything to make people believe what he wants them to. This includes kissing you in public if needed.

He isn't really the type to get jealous or possessive but he doesn't like it when things don't go how he planned so he would be quick to intervene if he thinks someone could steal you away.

Kakeru Ryuen

Kakeru doesn't have very strong morals which is why he isn't opposed to play dirty to get his way. This includes pretending to be in a relationship with you.

He isn't afraid to use threats or manipulation to get his way, but if you already like him then he would leverage that.

Kakeru can be pretty possessive regardless of the fact that you're not actually dating. He's the type of person who can be pretty possessive over their partner which is why he would use the excuse of being realistic to ensure no one else so much as looked at you.

He can also be pretty big on PDA, and uses the excuse of keeping it real to tease you quite a bit.

Most of the people in his class probably know that you're not actually dating, but even then they don't do anything about it or try to talk Kakeru out of forcing the fake dating on you.

He probably didn't just fake date you for ulterior motives and actually likes you but chooses to use this situation to be able to have you as his, even if it's fake.

Perhaps, he might even get what he wants and have you fall for him too.

Sudo Ken

It was your idea. Or forced upon the two of you. There is no other way that Sudo would actually get into a fake relationship.

He probably got into trouble again and Ayanokoji came up with the idea of having him be in a relationship with you as proof that he couldn't have done whatever the other party claimed.

Sudo wouldn't be nearly as bold or natural as the others, mainly because unlike them he really doesn't have an ulterior motive and was as oblivious as you.

You would probably have to take the lead with the whole relationship and with the help of Ayanokoji and the others, you would set up things like dates or hold his hand during class.

Kudo can get flustered quite easily, but once he gets a little used to it, he can be pretty good at the whole relationship thing. He's kind but also knows when not to be and can be a pretty good boyfriend.

The only one where the two of you could end up together without a toxic start.
