It was the second last day before the break between semesters and Hijikata came home while the others were eating dinner. As he entered the dining room the elder male shed his vest and ruffled Adrians hair before kissing Soji.

He sighed wearily as he sat down and was soon given some tea. “How would you like to go on vacation next week?” He asked Adrian after having relaxed for a minute, he had been putting in extra long hours so he could finish the case in time. “Your friend can come too if you want.”

Adrian goes up to Alastair to initiate a cuddle session, yawning tiredly.

{🌊} - Alastair smiled a little and put his arms around the sleepy Dry Lander. “It’s a long trip, yeah? But we’re going under the water now so we gotta be close.” Don’t worry, sleepy Adrian! This boat has a dome on top to keep air in!

Miyuu has fallen into the void -Fresh Start

“A NEW KEEPER HAS FALLEN INTO THE VOID, AND A NEW GAME HAS BEGUN! SHE’S FALLING-- FALLING--”

Niemand looked up from his garden, tilting his head when he saw the little black speck that was actually a person plummeting down.

“JUST ABOVE THE NOBODY’S GARDEN, WHERE THE NOBODY CURRENTLY RESIDES!” 

He stood, and took a couple of steps back from the blossoming flowers, waiting for her to land and awkwardly biting his nails. At least she met him first. He might have a better chance of getting her out of here.

“I’m new here, my shift just started this morning.”  -Adri for whoever

“Oh! I didn’t know that mama was bringing anyone else in. Nice to meet you. It’ll be nice having some more hands around the shop.” 

He gives the stranger a light, airy smile. 

“Have you ever worked in a magic shop before? Any experience fortune-telling?”

“Filled with knowledge tha-” One look from Jinhai had Feng backing down immediately. Jinhai wasn’t kidding when he had told Miyuu that he was used to looking after his siblings and was seen as the ‘mother’. And Feng was not going to have his tail pinched again, let alone having a witness see his big brother actually spank him. 

So he relented. “The library holds scrolls upon scrolls of history, stories, new discoveries and of course, Jinhai tends to keep the fashion section updated.” 

The pink-haired male smiled as he nodded at Feng as if approving of the tone. “Much better.” With that, he looked at Miyuu and offered to grab her some tea. “I do apologize for Feng’s earlier outburst. Ever since the loss of our family members to Dragon Hunters...he’s become wary and a hermit.”

“I-I didn’t say it! I promise!!” Cue nervous stammering and bright blush.

“...O-oh...” So then he...doesn’t...? Sherman can’t tell if he feels disappointed or not.

Emma looked at him, not quite trusting his words. The last time that happened.. well someone tried to steal it from her. After a moment of hesitation she opened her hands, revealing a small golden locket. “This is what that guy was after.”

“Glad he didn’t get it. Look like it has some sentimental value to ya. Times like these, ‘s important to keep hold of things like that. Things with memories and meaning behind ‘em.” 

He dug through his pocket for a second before pulling out a scrap of paper and a pen. After writing something on it, he held it out to her. 

“Here. ‘S my number. Gimme a call if ya need help. Or not. Up to ya. Like I said, not gonna make ya do anything.”

It wasn’t often that Theodore felt the urge to approach a stranger, but the way the other male looked and the aura he exuded made the wizard reach into his pocket and move before he quite realized it himself.

“...Here,” Theodore mumbled, not even meeting the other’s eyes as he pressed an amulet into his hands without so much as greeting or even introducing himself. “It’s a good luck-charm. Take it.”

Soji chuckled as he sat on the floor, his head resting in his wifes lap as they watched their children playing on the rug. Little Ai was concentrating hard as he managed to get up on his knees once again before rocking back and forth as he tried to move. His eyes were fixed on Saizo as he watched the piglet, wondering how the creature moved and if he did the same thing would he be able to catch him? The infant giggled as he tentatively moved one hand forward and then the other, his sister wasn’t too far behind as she tried to copy him.

Emma looked over at V, grumbling softly. She found her locket, and was cranky now because he was still forcing her to leave. “I don’t understand why I have to go.. why can’t I help..”

“... As much as I envy your optimism to fight these creatures, I can tell just by looking at you that you can’t.” He said, crossing his arms. “If you even attempted to go up against an Empusa ... well ... you’d be demon food. Even I cannot fight them without my familiars.”
