All I want for Christmas: Part 9 – Mazda RX-500, 1970. An experimental car presented at the 17th Tokyo Motor Show that was designed to be a mobile test bed for high-speed safety. It was powered by a mid-mounted 10A twin rotor engine. The multi-coloured rear lights indicated if the car was speeding up, braking or cruising with green, red, or amber lights. The original concept was restored in 2009 and is now on display at the at Hiroshima City Transportation Museum.

Matchbox 66 Mazda RX-500. I had this toy but have only recently become aware it was based on a real car - a one-off concept car that was originally painted orange (but without the purple windscreen).

I spent, at a minimum, at least $500-$1,000 a month exclusively on my self improvement. Here is most of what I spend on, in no particular order:
Education (classes, books, courses, certifications, college tuition, seminars, etc.)
Private lessons for languages, musical instruments, sports, etc.
Personal hobbies and passion projects
Crest whitening strips (great when in a pinch), Invisalign, professional whitening, preventative dental care, prescription whitening products from my dentist
Investments such as index funds, REITs, ETFs, CDs, individual stocks, commodities, appreciative luxury items, precious metals & gems, etc.
Organic food, vitamins, supplements, high quality healthcare, therapy, massages, prescriptions (Rx skincare, etc.)
New glasses & contacts (getting some bayonetta glasses from Burberry soon, very excited)
Sports, gym membership + sauna, hot yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, tennis, skiing, dance, etc.
Personal care such as bath/shower products, body care, haircare, skincare, makeup, brightening eye drops, perfume, etc.
Travel, events, concerts, festivals, etc.
Shopping (clothes, accessories, home goods, etc.)
Eating out at restaurants and going to coffee shops
Beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, waxes, brow tint & threading, salon blowouts, hair cuts & colors, facials, lash lift & tints, vitamin IVs, etc.
Regular visits to my dermatologist, dentist, psychiatrist, eye doctor, primary care physician, gynecologist, and any other specialists
Semi-regular appointments with a personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, and dietitian
I don't do all of these every single month, but most of these are recurring throughout the year and budgeted accordingly. Eventually I might add in more intense cosmetic work like medspa services, Botox, etc. If you can find a workplace with a great benefits package such as high quality healthcare, an HSA/FSA, health & wellness reimbursements for the gym, disability & life insurance, etc. I would highly recommend it and max out all the benefits you can.

Ok, time I delivered on one of my old promises, its my detrans/misgen note game for mtftm content 🫣💙😈
Here goes nothing 😅 I'm making this based on some suggestions from mutuals and from some stuff I've seen on other mtf detrans blogs, so hope this is as fun for you as it will be for breaking this fakegirl 🥴
(Spams aren't encourged, I don't have very high hopes for reaching the extreme goals, prove me wrong?)
For every:
💙 10 notes: I'll jerk off to MLM/Cock-focused porn
💙25 notes: I'll send an anon to a fakeboy/mtf boy to fix me (after a certain point it'll just be unsolicited cock pics)
💙50 notes: I'll add another masculine clothing item to my wishlist (jock strap, harness, gym clothes, etc.)
💙100 notes: I'll push back taking my E another month (i plan on refilling my rx again before the holidays)
💙500 notes: I'll post a series of pics from all the stuff from my wishlist (wearing nothing else)
💙1000 notes: I'll hook-up with a random man that will misgender me 🙈

Flint, Michigan, has one of the [United States]'s highest rates of child poverty — something that got a lot of attention during the city's lead water crisis a decade ago. And a pediatrician who helped expose that lead problem has now launched a first-of-its-kind move to tackle poverty: giving every new mother $7,500 in cash aid over a year.
A baby's first year is crucial for development. It's also a time of peak poverty.
Flint's new cash transfer program, Rx Kids, starts during pregnancy. The first payment is $1,500 to encourage prenatal care. After delivery, mothers will get $500 a month over the baby's first year.
"What happens in that first year of life can really portend your entire life course trajectory. Your brain literally doubles in size in the first 12 months," says Hanna-Attisha, who's also a public health professor at Michigan State University.
A baby's birth is also a peak time for poverty. Being pregnant can force women to cut back hours or even lose a job. Then comes the double whammy cost of child care.
Research has found that stress from childhood poverty can harm a person's physical and mental health, brain development and performance in school. Infants and toddlers are more likely than older children to be put into foster care, for reasons that advocates say conflate neglect with poverty.
In Flint, where the child poverty rate is more than 50%, Hanna-Attisha says new moms are in a bind. "We just had a baby miss their 4-day-old appointment because mom had to go back to work at four days," she says...
Benefits of Cash Aid
Studies have found such payments reduce financial hardship and food insecurity and improve mental and physical health for both mothers and children.
The U.S. got a short-lived taste of that in 2021. Congress temporarily expanded the child tax credit, boosting payments and also sending them to the poorest families who had been excluded because they didn't make enough to qualify for the credit. Research found that families mostly spent the money on basic needs. The bigger tax credit improved families' finances and briefly cut the country's child poverty rate nearly in half.
"We saw food hardship dropped to the lowest level ever," Shaefer says. "And we saw credit scores actually go to the highest that they'd ever been in at the end of 2021."
Critics worried that the expanded credit would lead people to work less, but there was little evidence of that. Some said they used the extra money for child care so they could go to work.
As cash assistance in Flint ramps up, Shaefer will be tracking not just its impact on financial well-being, but how it affects the roughly 1,200 babies born in the city each year.
"We're going to see if expectant moms route into prenatal care earlier," he says. "Are they able to go more? And then we'll be able to look at birth outcomes," including birth weight and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions.
Since the pandemic, dozens of cash aid pilots have popped up across the nation. But unlike them, Rx Kids is not limited to lower-income households. It's universal, which means every new mom will get the same amount of money. "You pit people against each other when you draw that line in the sand and say, 'You don't need this, and you do,' " Shaefer says. It can also stigmatize families who get the aid, he says, as happened with traditional welfare...
So far, there's more than $43 million to keep the program going for three years. Funders include foundations, health insurance companies and the state of Michigan, which allocated a small part of its federal cash aid, known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
Money can buy more time for bonding with a baby
Alana Turner can't believe her luck with Flint's new cash benefits. "I was just shocked because of the timing of it all," she says.
Turner is due soon with her second child, a girl. She lives with her aunt and her 4-year-old son, Ace. After he was born, her car broke down and she was seriously cash-strapped, negotiating over bill payments. This time, she hopes she won't have to choose between basic needs.
"Like, I shouldn't have to think about choosing between are the lights going to be on or am I going to make sure the car brakes are good," she says...
But since she'll be getting an unexpected $7,500 over the next year, Turner has a new goal. With her first child, she was back on the job in less than six weeks. Now, she hopes she'll be able to slow down and spend more time with her daughter.
"I don't want to sacrifice the time with my newborn like I had to for my son, if I don't have to," she says."

Notes:
Jackie brought Daughter Nathalie, who does volleyball at BHS and attends a gym that has obviously exposed her to barbells. Jackie should be very proud of Nathalie because she is the entire perfect package, a real 10+ Unicorn. She has been accepted to West Point, which proves there is still hope for our country and its children. Great job, Jackie !!
Maddi came. She was very late, but at least she was here. She did much of the workout and let us admire her sweet Golden Lab. Maddi leaves for California next week, leaving a trail of broken hearts in Middle Tennessee, some of whom are elderly old men.
Due to your Coaches illness, LHCF will only have 2 weekend workouts for the next several weeks. Esther and Linda will Coach those workouts. I will be unable to attend the Barn area because Average Dave always hawks lugee's and slings snot rockets in the pine straw and since I will be immunosuppressed, whatever contagions he is carrying would surely kill me dead. I'm not feeling so hot already.
The next workout is Saturday, 31 August, 2024 at 0930. Hopefully you will be celebrating my 80th birthday and all the exercises will be for 80 reps.

We got our tax return so that meant buying exactly one bottle of nice whiskey and saving the rest for fun things like car registration, the $2k of dental work I need to replace my bridge that broke and the co-pay for the MRIs I need for my shoulder, my abdomen (thinking my endometriosis is acting up. Well actually I KNOW it is) and some sort of imaging that’s not x-rays for my foot.
Being an adult is really shitty sometimes. My husband got laid off twice last year. Once from Uber when they did quiet layoffs and then from a start up that got some of its funding pulled and couldn’t afford him as a software engineer anymore. He has a job now but the months without him being employed put us into debt. I only work part time. We had to deal with things like living in one of the most expensive places in the US (not just for rent but things like groceries are stupid expensive as well), one of our cats having a $600 tummy ache, our ancient dog getting a UTI (that was another like $500), not having insurance so even with Good RX our meds were like $300 a month etc. The one upside is we own our cars outright so we didn’t have to make car payments. Oh and owing the IRS (they took all of our federal tax return) because when Uber went public all of my husband’s stock counted as income and he owed something like $30k in taxes so we had to set up a payment plan. Our bank accounts have been overdrawn every month for months.
