thank you @agostobuwan and @iboatedhere for the tag🫶🫶 here’s a snippet from my rwrb royally big bang fic. after i’ve finished writing this chapter, i am planning on writing something else to give my brain a bit of a break💀

y’all have no idea how long i have waited to finally be able to write this part!! will probably need editing but anyway here we go…

Alex was beginning to get flustered and his palms started to sweat. The frantic drumming in his heart might as well join in with the band in the middle of the room.

Henry’s eyes flick up and meet his, his smile is wicked like he’s been corrupted and it’s putting Alex on edge.

The man is an enigma.

“I’ve been watching you too,” Henry continues in a dangerously low voice. “I noticed how you checked me out just now, do more vibrant colours do it for you Sir Claremont-Diaz? You seem to be awfully fascinated with my figure, my lips especially. Perhaps you would like me to perform for you.”

Alex almost chokes on his own saliva and his eyebrows shoot up in alarm, “What?”

Henry grins devilishly, “Let me rephrase that.”

He leans in close, his breath fanning across Alex’s eye lobe and it starts to set a different kind of heat throughout Alex’s body and starts to turn into putty. He feels the pearl earring flutter against his cheek. His words curl into a sultry voice, “Sir Claremont-Diaz, may I perform for you?”

Alex and Henry are engaged and ready to share their announcement with the world, but after the media circus surrounding their forced outing Queen Mary wants them to do things properly this time. To Alex’s surprise, ‘properly��� apparently means taking a Royal Tour around Europe as an official couple.

Ten days, five countries and lots of unnecessary wardrobe changes. What could possibly go wrong?

This fic is so sweet and so soft and my team had such a good time working on it. Definitely give it a read, it will soothe all hurt feelings from our unforgiving world.

thanks for the tag @agostobuwan 🫶 I took a week’s break from writing any new content and just started the new chapter of my @aroyallybigbangrwrb fic yesterday and not as far in as i thought i would be but decided to share something to show my participation considering I didn’t do sentence Sunday.

Alex does not fail to notice that Henry’s dress code for this evening is of something rather striking, as he is wearing a velvet bright red fishtail suit. Henry starts galloping around June as soon as the music assembles and Alex watches the way his legs easily bend backwards as he moves. It’s probably because Henry is dancing more or less in his and Bea’s eyeline, therefore they both find themselves glancing at them whilst they chatter.

“You did not fancy participating in this particular dance then?” Alex makes light, a mere breathless chuckle escaping from his lips.

“No,” Bea responds, her eyes drifting back towards the floor. “I shall let my brother take the reins on this one, he seems to be doing a very remarkable job of it.”

What Alex does fail to notice, however, is that when he nods back at the floor in agreement, Bea is smirking up at him.

“Beatrice, Sir Claremont-Diaz,” Catherine’s voice greets them as she approaches in a navy ball gown and matching hat. With that, Alex’s gaze flickers and moves to the Duchess of Edinburgh.

“Your Grace,” Alex bows his head. “What a pleasant evening this is.” He compliments, indicating the energetic atmosphere with his arm outstretched and gravitating around the room. “We were also just admiring the Prince of Wales’ dancing skills.”

Catherine’s eyes are diverted to the floor and she smiles wistfully as she watches her son dance with June. Henry’s look tediously falters as he frowns at his mother when he notices that she is watching him.

“He has always been a very good dancer, my boy - that's when he wants to be,” Catherine recalls, her voice soft and her hand on her heart as she turns towards Bea, “Right Bea?”

“Right,” Bea nods in agreement. “Always could be quite the performer.”

WIP Wednesdays - 27/03/24

hey👋🏻 i’m very new to wip wednesdays.i need to sort out creating a border y’know what they say -it’s the taking part that counts😉 thank you to @sunnysideprince and @taste-thewaste for the tags!

here’s a snippet from my bridgerton au that i am currently working on for @aroyallybigbangrwrb . personally i think this snippet is very fitting considering it’s ACD’s birthday today and we all know he loves to dance👀

“May one say that Sir Claremont-Diaz is such a beau,” Bea gushes, as the music comes to a fortunate end, and people start to filter off the floor.

Henry and Pez follow Bea’s eye-line to find Alex in the middle of the dance floor, pulling away from Maria Newton and then curtsying to each other, which is standard procedure after finishing a dance. A pink blush is sprinkling Alex’s cheeks and his dark curls have managed to surprisingly stay firmly in place. They watch as he smiles at Maria and moves off of the floor.

“I am sure you are not the only one who may say the same thing,” Pez says, throwing a look towards Henry with a mischievous glint in his eye, which is met with Henry looking at him, gritting his teeth under his closed mouth and his eyes dilating in horror, silently warning him to shut it.

“Was that not Miss Newton he was dancing with? Baron Newton’s daughter?”

Henry turns back to Bea and clears his throat as they reach the drinks bar, “I would not be able to tell you, sister. I failed to notice.”

To tell the truth, all Henry notices is how Alex’s trousers embraced his thighs and the material stretched around them.

He’ll rip them if he’s not careful. Henry snipes as he is handed a whiskey and immediately takes a long sip, like air being filled into his lungs.

I was tagged by @toast-the-unknowing (kinda) but I’m only doing it because I actually wrote a little bit yesterday for the first time in a month and I wanna show off.

This is for my Red, White, & Royal Blue Big Bang which I don’t think I have to keep secret since claiming has already happened. SO

“Well, that’s fine, your highness. This is very difficult magic.” He then turned to glare at Alex, remnants of his praise from two minutes ago completely gone. The professor’s eyes reprimanded Alex like his minor success was making Henry feel bad. Which, who’s to say? Maybe it was.

I am tagging no one but @tomhardysteeth since a) she’s not gonna do it anyway but b) I’m wondering if she’s writing anything I’ll actually be allowed to read at any time.
