Hearing that people complain about the Brothers being callous and inhumane baffles me. Because, yeah that is kind of the point! Did they thought they were meant to be in the right?

Honestly the idea that in the RWBYverse two opposing forces locked in perpetual struggle is explicitly not balance and is shown as an innately flawed and incomplete depiction of balance is one of the coolest things the show has done.

I feel like grimm weren't REALLY Dark's way of making something to destroy his brother's creations, he was just trying to make a new pet to replace the old one his big brother wouldn’t let him keep.

Does Salem just not think the brother gods will simply wipe out humanity again and keep her immortal? They aren’t exactly known for accountability; so, whose to even say they’ll keep their own word on things.

Trying to write a Transformers/RWBY crossover is interesting because of the implications and parallels certain characters have with each other

For instance, RWBY has the brother Gods of Light and Darkness who dabble in creation and destruction, and Transformers has Primus and Unicron, Transformer Gods, entities of Light and Darkness, creation and destruction, and Order vs Chaos

Alternatively, consider the Vok from Beast Wars

An enigmatic race of higher beings, conducting experiments on the world that would Birth humanity, are callously nonchalant about destroying/leaving behind their works when it "fails", and destroy a moon on their way out

New Bar, The “Ever After”

New “Modern AU RWBY” idea. There is a quiet bar tucked away called the “Ever After”. It was owned and run by an woman known as “Ms.Smith”. She is kind, friendly, tends to have new woodcarvings decorating the place every so often, and is always willing to lend a person an ear and talk to them. She treats everyone with kindness and fairness and never pushes anyone, despite looking like she could go a few rounds in a fight. There is a very curious cat that lives in the building that Ms.Smith says one of her sons brought home one day before he and his brother left to strike out into the world on their own. The cat is.....mostly friendly and tends to sit with people as they talk about things to Ms.Smith.

So crackpot theory I’ve come up with is dust is what is left over from the people genocided by the Brothers and the mines are where their settlements were. Also that the lake in Atlas is where the brother of light resided since I think his power kept the country beautiful and bright but without him, it went cold and we do see a lake very similar to his and with the dust is people it would make sense for that lake to be his since the worlds entire military at that point were wiped out there. Every soldier, mercenary, sellsword died there… so wouldn’t it make sense for that to become the largest mine if dust was people.

If the brothers do come back to Remnant in the end do you think Ruby and Co. Should just lead with "look we talked to your mom and she said you two use to be a hot mess too so maybe just drop it ok?"

While the brothers are technically balanced, they exist in equilibrium rather than harmony

As an aside, I've legit seen people argue the brothers can't be judged or criticized solely because "They are gods, they don't have to follow mortal rules" and like... Even if that were true what the fuck gives them the right to dictate said rules then? Its always just a submission to might makes right but point that out and they just keep emphasizing "Gods, they are gods" like its an argument.

People really need to remember the difference between an explanation and an excuse. Even if the gods were above mortal morality (which they very much aren't, and even their own creator says as much), that doesn't mean their behavior is excusable. A bear cannot be called evil for what it does, but if it's trying to attack you, you're still going to kill it.

“Rooster Teeth had a lot of issues as evidenced by the allegations past employees have come forward with” and “Warner Bros is fucking evil for axing an entire company and letting some of its employees find out via tweet” are statements that can and should coexist.

Like. It’s not some gotcha that RT is shutting down. It’s not some vindictive justice that this Big Bad Company is gone now. Projects are now canceled. People will be fired from their jobs. And because it’s Warner Bros. it’s only a matter of time before all those animation projects (RvB, RWBY, Camp Camp, every single episode of anything they made) is scrubbed off of the internet.

It’s gonna be the same thing that happened with HBO Max. It’s gonna be the same thing with the Coyote vs. Acme movie and Batgirl.

RT going down is not the thing you should be lording over people. RT going down should not be some ammo for your “RWBY is mid” takes. RT going down is not some “I always knew it was cringe” meme. Real people are gonna be effected by this. People will lose this jobs and will lose all the passion projects they worked on.

This is horrifying for the people involved in these projects and the state of animation itself. Warner Bros. only owned Rooster Teeth for 2 years. They bought them in 2022. Not even 2 full years. They didn’t even get a chance and they axed THE ENTIRE COMPANY. NOT JUST ONE SHOW. THE ENTIRE FUCKING COMPANY AND ALL ITS IPS. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THIS IS NOT THR TIME FOR A FAN WAR.

Why didn't the brothers bring the jabberwalker with them when their knew world had death in it? Why leave the death dog in the land of the immortal?

In fantasy the gods often are either infallible unless they are explicitly evil or so far above mortal understanding that trying to assign morals to them is pointless. The brothers are none of those things.

i think defeating the brothers will be more abt making them go back home to the ever after. to the tree. so they can self-actualize bc along the way they lost sight of what's important and made their created worlds more abt their own egos than it is abt giving life and nurturing it and letting it become. on its own.
