Cosmic horror hits different in the digital age because The Yellow Sign would become a total meme. It would be the new pepe. Every comments section would be like "this loser hasn't even seen the yellow sign 🙄"

Is there controversy on the appearance of the true Yellow Sign?

Because the popular triskelion design came from the ttrpg Call Of Cthulhu 80 to 90+ years after the book. This is a Lovecraft interpretation and doesn't feel canon.

On Chambers' book, the spine has an upside-down torch. Apparently, this wasn't confirmed to be the Yellow Sign, but it feels likely that it is.

Or is the Yellow Sign anything that a victim of The King In Yellow interprets as the Sign and their belief is what gives TKIY further influence in their minds?
