do you think elizabeth and david talked about their brother in the 15 or so years he was off the island? jakob's memories may have faded as he left, but theirs certainly didn't. do you think they had nightmares about their mother getting burnt at the stake? did elizabeth tell david her memories of the brother he barely remembered? did the adults tell them, over and over, that jakob's sacrifice was necessary, to the point that by the time he came back to the island, they had already accepted it as an inevitability? did elizabeth get rid of her brother's old things so she wouldn't be reminded of him anymore? did david stare at old family portraits trying to come to terms with the fact that he would essentially be meeting his brother for the first time and saying goodbye at the same time?

I wish the Rusty Lake fandom was a little bigger or the series was more popular because I want to talk to other fans because it's a great franchise but more specifically I want to ask other people at what point in Paradise you realize this is one of those things where you die at the end (plague 10 for me)
