RuPaul's Drag Race tackles anti-drag legislation in latest episode

Tonight’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15, which just aired on MTV, tackles the current wave of US state level anti-LGBTQ+ legislation—specifically bans on drag—in true Drag Race style, with the fabulous 1980s Rusical, Wigloose! Honestly, Wigloose was a really good and important rusical. I think everyone in the cast shined in their own way, the songs were actually pretty good (Life is black and white is stuck in my head) and it came at a time I think all of us needed. With the real life threat of a drag ban (and other laws that will fuck ovr a lot of queer and specially trans peoples lives), having a show that has promoted drag for so long bring up this topic and also give a message that we can over come this is really important.

Also, Anetra playing the role of the (drag) mother who accepts her son and who brings the message of how drag makes life beautiful and worth living was really special, considering how many times she´s opened up about her relationship with her real life mom. I was really happy that she was the winned of the episode.
