Goth Glam & Drama Galore: A Drag Race S16 Ep Recap 🖤✨

This week's Drag Race episode was a gothic dream come true, and let me tell you, my inner 13-year-old goth is living for it. Let’s break it down, shall we?

The Main Challenge & Mini Mayhem 🕷️

First up, the theme: GOTH. A whole episode dedicated to our dark, dramatic fantasies.

Mhi'ya was feeling herself this episode, throwing shade like it's sunny in Hades. Meanwhile, Plane Jane's energy remains the purest, though some might debate that. And can we talk about how adorable Plasma is?

The mini-challenge... let's just say it left us all a bit puzzled. How they picked a winner remains a mystery worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

But the jokes? Pure gold. Miss Congeniality, Snatch Game, and yes, even that IQ zinger had me rolling.

Design Queens & Runway Drama 👗

As the main challenge unfurls, it's clear: Nymphia and Q are the reigning queens of design. But, don't underestimate Sapphira; her skills are as sharp as her wit.

The workroom dynamics this season? A chef's kiss of drama and camaraderie. Especially loved the moment Mhi'ya got support from Sapphira. It’s the kind of wholesome content we live for to include her moment with Plasma.

Now, onto the runway. From Plane Jane's consistent 7/10 performance to Plasma's heartbreaking 1/10 disaster, the looks were as varied as they were dramatic.

But Sapphira, rocking a solid 10/10? Chef's kiss.

The winner in my opinion, should have been Morphine, she is the only one who gave GOTH energy.

Judges' Verdict & Lip-Sync Showdown 💔

The judges were their usual mix of insightful and baffling this episode. Plane Jane's hair and makeup? Stellar. Plasma's outfit? Let's not go there.

And then, the lip-sync battle: Mhi'ya vs. Plasma. Mhi'ya's energy was unmatched, delivering what might just be her best performance of the season.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Plasma. A moment of silence for what could have been. See you in #allstars baby!!!!

Final Thoughts & Anticipations 🌈

This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions in the workroom for me. The goth theme brought out the best (and worst) in the queens, and I’m already counting down the days until the next episode.
