HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to support @Rumney_Climbers Association this weekend. What an absolute blast! Y’all raised $700 directly for the RCA. They (and @accessfund ) are the reason we can climb at #RumneyRocks . The RCA are doing their best to keep up with the massive demand and wear/tear on the crag. These donations (and new memberships!) help with trail stability, flora/fauna protection, area stewardship, rebolting, and human impact. Thank you to Ladd at RCA, to @cafe.monte.alto serving up delicious coco and #coffee, to @talcottrocks for donating a @bluewaterropes to our raffle (and to @marshalldavis120 for winning it!). Thanks to the @accessfund for hooking us up with some swag (and helping climbers protect our favorite areas). @Regranned from @lbarinov - Great trip to Rumney with @lbonavitacola and @mozkozo ... got in two solid days before the rain came. Managed to pack up camp before the ☔️. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! The crew here at @barndoorhostel in #rumneynh got to hang out this weekend with some rad folks from @paradoxsports to do some adaptive #iceclimbing . Some were knotty, some were nICE, but we love them all. Swipe through to see Adam, Enock, and Cindy in action! The best moment was seeing these participants (each one adapting to climb in their own way) up on the ice with giant smiles. —————————————————— Not pictured are the amazing facilitators from @paradoxsports , Dom Pascariello (@elevationclimb for training and guide service ) and Nate McKenzie (@ascentclimbing for guiding). From rigging trees and utilizing sleds/pulleys, to organizing group meals, and providing top notch gear and guidance, these two dudes (alongside @syedjets ) made the magic happen. Climbers are mobilizing and I am one of them! I am fundraising for @accessfund because they do amazing work. I am a #CommunityAmbassador for them and I'm inviting my friends and fellow climbers to support this cause. #Rumney has seen a massive growth in popularity over the last several years. With climbing being in the #Olympics, a climbing film winning an #Oscar, and @alexhonnold being a household name, now is the most important time to protect the access and ethics associated with Rumney Rocks Day Use Area in @whitemountains National Forest. With increased traffic comes increased wear and tear. Replacing bolts, shoring up trails, protecting rare species of flora/fauna, and providing legislative coverage for the area are all big parts of what the Access Fund, @rumney_climbers Association and @u.s.forestservice work together to do here. We need your help to do it!! The world has gone to shit but at least we have climbing... we’ll sort of—This is the time for us all to join together, to climb through adversity as a #community.
