so what's hilarious is one of my friends had to get cleared for military security clearance or whatever since he works with manufacturing ruggadized electronics, and he had to ask me all these questions given that I'm a foreigner, and one of the questions was, I believe, whether or not I play War Thunder...

How do you think Daenerys might be interest in Jon? Her type is someone confident and charming and bold and with a seductive nature and Jon is nothing like that and I doubt that as a dead person he will be better.

Well, we could take a quick look at Daenerys ‘love’ interests in a song of ice and fire.

Drogo = hard and cruel looking, terrifies daenerys, hurts and abuses her, ignores her most of the time except for when he needs to pleasure himself, doesn’t indulge in her at all or try to get to know her, denerys has to learn how to please him in the bedroom to get him to stop hurting her, daenerys has to actively learn his language to forge a bond with him, daenerys has to be carrying his son for him to care more for her.

daario = very charming and bold and seductive like you said. younger than the men around her (barristan, jorah) is very loyal to daenerys, doesn’t betray her when he has the oppurtunity and the means to believe that daenerys is the losing side, ect. knows how to please women in bed. daenerys knows that she can’t have him by herside as a queen, and she also knows that he wouldn’t want to be by her side as her king. he doesn’t really care for the small folk, i don’t think. he appreciates daenerys and her motivations, but he would rather be off doing things with the second sons than sit by her side.

jorah = much much older than her. stares at her breasts as he tells her that he will be a perfect husband for her. lusts after her. pushes away other men to try to make himself the only man in her life to which daenerys calls him out for. ect.

one to bed, one to dread, one to love.

it’s my opinion that drogo was the one to bed, hizdar was the one to dread, and jon will be the one to love. [unless that meant literal rides, then it would probs be daenerys silver as she went to bed drogo, drogon to dread because he’s balerian the dread come again, and then the one to love could be?? literally anything? could be a play on words, one mount to ride being jon ;) ;)  but I don’t know for sure]

like you said, jon is very broody and stoic and quiet but for all we know, that could intrigue daenerys even more as so far she’s been forced to love one, forced to marry two, and is having an on / off fling with another. jon could very well intrigue her enough before his death, because she hasn’t experieicned anything of his likes before.

D&D said that Daenerys is aroused by loyalty, allllllllllright I guess what woman wouldn’t be intrigued by a handsome, near her age ruggad man swearing publicly for her?

I think it all depends on how they met as well. Will they meet in Dragonstone? Will Daenerys go to Kingslanding first? Will Jon find Dragonglass at Hardhome? What will the circumstances be? If this meeting is arranged like it was in the show, then Daenerys will be expecting a wild ruggad northerner and will find a man of her age, sassy, afront and bold in his own ways.

Just because they are shipped by a lot of people, including myself, doesn’t mean they will 10/10 become romantically involved. I personally don’t see the story going any other way for them because there has been too much foreshadowing in my opinion for them to not become romantically involved, but it doesn’t confirm that they will become a romantic pairing by the end of asoiaf - but they are essential to one anothers endings.

Daenerys will be a major major help to defeating the Others. Dragonglass, armies, dragons. Jon will be the main catalyst into Daenerys helping defeat the Great Others, I think like the show he’ll probably be the one to convince her to help defeat the Others. She is the Mother of Dragons, the Breaker of chains, what character is more perfect to help defeat the Great Others than Daenerys Stormborn? She brought living dragons into the world, after a century of them being extinct. We don’t know if Dragons will end up killing the Great Others for sure until we read it, we don’t know if Valyrain steel can kill them like the show had it, we don’t know if fire itself can kill it, but Daenerys has already had prophetic dreams [dragon dreams] about defeating an army armoured in ice all the way back in the first book! Her core purpose is pure, to end slavery, breaks chains off of those who are enslaved, and what powerful magical force is enslaving the dead? Great Others = Thought to be killed via fire / dragons. Great Others = Have enslaved an entire army of dead things, forcing them to fight and not rest after death.

Also, they will become more tied together once it’s revealed that they’re related. Daenerys has already thought aloud that if her brothers son had lived, she might have married him. Jon has already heard about Daenerys via Aemon, and knows that she is ‘quite the woman,’ ect.

In terms of Daenerys being Jons type, she is 1000000% his type. In terms of Jon being Daenerys type, if he’s the exact same after death as he was before death, then there is still a chance that she will be at the very least intrigued by him. He’s different than anyone who she’s been around, and ya know, girls like to try things they haven’t experienced yet ;) If he is not the same and is more bold, brash, sassy, funny, then there probably won’t be any issues them bonding and falling in love either.

Frogs and Sleeping Children

Do you ever miss moments? Not the people or the time, just a specific moment. If there is one thing I’m missing during quarantine is those little moments with friends you usually forget about. The things that you never took the time to appreciate before because you never had to, there would always be another car ride, or night out, or walk around town, it was certain not questionable. But being in isolation has me reminiscing on things I otherwise would have forgotten about. Here’s a few of those little things and I challenge you to look for them in your own pre-corona life.

It’s sitting on uneven concrete, overcome by overgrown vines and weeds. It’s ants crawling around us yet not on us, crickets chirping quietly as background players. His guitar is hypnotising, mostly him but partially me. His voice is ruggad from sticky summer air. Yet, it’s beautiful and peaceful and all the other ful’s. Watching someone do what they love most is my favorite activity. This is his stress reliever and I’m merely witness to magic. He makes faces while he plays to the imaginary audience of the frogs and the sleeping children all up in their cabins and beds. I feel lucky to be here.

It’s 11 P.M. in a Waffle House on a Wednesday. We’ve been at this table for way too many hours and should’ve tipped the waitress more. The tables are sticky and we, all five of us, are trying to study in the cramped booth. We make up silly acronyms for the anatomy of the human neck for her test tomorrow. They play the same song for an entire hour on repeat, by the time we leave we all know all the words. We scream sing in the car driving back to campus, she knows she’s going to fail her anatomy test but it was worth it. I feel lucky to have friends like these. This is what college should be.

It’s on the other side of the world, wandering through the streets of Tel Aviv with a friend I never thought I’d see again. The way that his smile reaches all the way to his eyes and how sometimes his accent makes words sound so funny (I won’t tell him when he pronounces things wrong though, it’s sweet.) it almost felt like borrowed time, a cold winter walk in his part of the world after a summer in the warmth of mine. I can’t describe it better then a Hallmark movie: too perfect for reality but just believable enough to keep you crossing your fingers for it. I miss him every day. I feel lucky for borrowed time.

It’s a Saturday morning in our dorm room, more like a Saturday afternoon in our dorm room, and I climb into her bed to recount the night before. She has a lisp from her retainer and I have mascara all over my face. We try to plan out the day but end up spending way too many minutes just sitting and talking about any and everything. It’s moments like that when you realize a stranger has become your best friend. Not the big moments, but the sweet saturday scooter rides to Dunkin Donuts in your pajamas and the late night hugs before bed (hours after you said you would go to bed.) I feel lucky to have met her, even if it caused a major lack of sleep.

So once things start to return to some sort of normalcy, pay attention to the way the air smells when it rushes through car windows, and how tight your best friend hugs you before that important meeting, and appreciate the sound of laughter not distorted by a computer. Life is so special, people are so special, find your own little moments.

Scudo Padel Racket

Lite om Marmor

Ett av de mest kända naturstenar är marmor, ett vackert men känslig sten som kräver noggrann skötsel. Marmor är för mestadels ett poröst material vilket gör den känslig för smuts och fukt. Det är också bra att ha i åtanke att marmor är ett ömtåligt material och frätskador kan ske, alltså bör man vara extra omsorgsfull med hur skivan sköts och används. Vätska med låg pH-värde (såsom ättika, kolsyra, vinäger, vin osv.) kan komma att orsaka skador på stenen. Dock kan även vanligt vatten, om inte torkas bort snabbt, orsaka skador. Detta brukar man kunna se på gamla fönsterbänkar som har haft krukor eller blomfat på, vilket har skadat bänken med permanenta vita fläckar.

 Några tips:

1.      Rengör skivan genom att doppa en kökshandduk i ljummet såpvatten och stryk sedan varsamt över hela marmorskivan.

2.      För de ordentligt smutsiga partierna kan du använda den ruggade sidan av en tvättsvamp. Testa först på ett mindre synligt parti, så att du märker om den är för hård. Skölj sedan med vatten och torka torrt med en trasa.

3.      Använd aldrig sura rengöringsmedel på skivan, eftersom det kan ge stora skador till materialet.

4.      Ta bort löst damm och smuts med en microfibertrasa.

5.      Använd underlägg till alla glas och skär ingenting direkt på skivan. Då håller du den fri från frätskador.

6.      Nya skivor bör alltid behandlas ett par gånger i början. Stryk på ett tunt lager med en tunn och fin olja, till exempel symaskinsolja. Låt det ligga och gro in i stenen över natten och torka på morgonen bort eventuella rester. På samma sätt underhåller du sedan skivan ett par gånger om året, det ger den både ett vackert lyster och en skyddande effekt.

Reconnaissance vehicles of one of the most advanced and well equipped defense organizations in Europe are fitted with ruggedized computers which make up part of a battle management support system. Personnel manning the vehicles can at any moment receive from the onboard systems encrypted, accurate, credible on the spot info concerning the deployment of parallel units or foes, navigation assistance, tasks and logistics or battle missions, as well as issue reports or video feeds back to HQ, and all this – using the system.

Relaying the required info as part of battle management or maneuver management from a control center or from a command and control center to thousands of dedicated vehicles fitted with the ruggedized computer system must be highly credible, disturbance-free, continuous and well protected, even against adverse infiltration to the comm network and any attempts to intercept the sensitive data running through it or to disrupt it.

One of the key elements of a digital deployed tactical data array is the control mechanism which runs the entire traffic, especially the IP-based traffic, between each and every reconnaissance vehicle and HQ, the command and control center, as well as between the vehicles themselves, as a matter of dependence in the deployment formation and definition (including organizational) of the military buildup.

When it comes to military vehicles which carry a great deal of equipment (weaponry as well as logistic), complete with the ruggedized computers, reducing the weight, the volume and the power consumption, as well as distributing the heat is critical for the operation of the crew and the success of the mission. This is where the Israeli mind gets to work, armed with military and technological practice.

Experts from Spider had been asked to provide an engineering solution, based on their vast experience in integrating systems, which comprised of refurbishing an existing system per client specifications as well as developing an innovative communications control complete with pure IP comm, dynamic client network routing and solution to BIT (Built In Tests) in order to enable system SLA. Spider’s solution included testing the programming based on specifications and contacting other manufacturers, setting up the configuration, lab tests, consulting and advising.

Unmanned systems conference 2014 – Israel

As a natural part of the process, Spider proposed an effective virtual solution by Juniper to provide the comm and routing function between the system’s various interfaces. The solution is software-based, thereby saving on valuable space, weight and energy and avoiding further cooling/heat dispersal issues, eliminating further electro-magnetic radiation and so on.

The solution was presented as a prototype of over ten systems and passed the client’s initial feasibility tests.

Additional advantages of the virtualization of the specific solution, beyond the savings on space, weight and energy, are the improved ability to carry out remote system maintenance, all the more so because many of them are designated as critical and operational, complete with remote troubleshooting, software upgrades and update statistics on routine performance and the efficacy of the ruggedized computers, deployed over vast areas.

Spider, which was established in 2000 and is owned by AMT (which is traded on the TASE), has many clients, among them financial institutions, some of Israel’s leading corporations, government ministries, broadcasters, food companies, energy infrastructure  companies, medical organizations, and others, whose critical data infrastructures are controlled, managed and secured by Spider experts using dedicated data security practices.

The application of these unique comm solutions in the operational vehicles of this undisclosed European defense organization, also includes a reference to data security aspects. The intensive interface of “Spider Solutions” with relevant companies in this field, among which is CheckPoint, that consists of cooperations which mature to Beta testing in Israel and worldwide, have upgrade the solution for this project as well.

In the near future, the company is planning to establish “Spider Communication”, a fully owned subsidiary. This, according to Rafi Kokotek, Spider founder and CEO.

The company will focus on providing communication solutions to data centers, accelerating communications, overload balancing, comm systems survivability and security.

An additional activity Spider is planning is the promising field of cyber forensics (admissible evidence in cyber-crime court cases – D.L., iHLS Newsdesk).
