#ruenak and orelka

I began this in 2021 or something and it was supposed to be a standalone illustration, but I never finished it. The following year I picked it up again and decided to add a second illustration and make a comic. I didn't finish this time either... I almost finished the sketches last year but uh guess what happened 😂 finally finished it tho hahaha!

Ruenak is @unicornia93 's handsome satyr chief, and my Orelka is his lovely wife. They rule over a clan of mountain satyrs and have a good relationship to the orc clan led by Oltorn and his wife Helartha. Regardless, Ruenak prefers to shirk his chiefly duties to cozy up with the wife instead 😂

Finished this drawing of my new OC Ruenak! He is the chief of his clan living in the mountains. Times are rough and he strives to restore the clan to it's former glory, but wars between orcs, humans and elves have taken it's toll and fertility has dropped drastically.

He hasto sacrifice a lot of his morals and beliefs to even get a sliver of the peace he so dearly wants. One of those being accepting a survivor from a small clan of horse tamers as a gift from the orc clan close to his domain.

Orelka is the name of the survivor, and she belongs to @vesprynna ❤️

I was invited to the OC Winterball by @unicornia93 this year, so of course I said yes! <3 We made it into this year’s first collab, much like last year :) This year it was Ruenak and Orelka’s turn to put on their finery and hurry to @faebelina‘s ball. They arrive almost too late (might have something to do with Ruenak liking to “cuddle” his lil wife - there may or may not be a little comic about that in the making from me) but the two enjoy their time together, and dance the night away under the fireworks <3 There are a few callbacks to previous artworks of Ruenak and Orelka that we put into their Winterball designs, go check out the older art of them to see if you can spot them (or you know, if you like these two, you can give them some more love and read more about them huhu)<3 Ruenak was drawn by and belongs to Unicornia <3 Orelka is mine and was drawn by me :)

Looks like Ruenak and Orelka has an unwanted visitor on their territory. Ruenak’s serving some serious glares to scare off whoever’s approaching <: Damn, I can’t get enough of this gorgeous beast of a man and his lil wife >w<

I’ve been seeing the “Start to Finish” meme for artwork going around, and I wanted to join! The original piece with Orelka is a traditional sketch from last year featuring another character, but I decided to redraw it and add Ruenak with her instead.

Yay! New art! I’ve been drawing a lot, but haven’t had time to sit down and color much, but here’s a piece I teased on Valentines day over on my twitter! This is Orelka and Ruenak (Unicornia’s awesomely handsome satyr chief with my elven herbalist) drawn in a scene inspired by their story we’re writing together!

Ruenak is a stubborn ass to poor Elka, who is taken to his settlement by the Orcs that ravaged and destroyed her village. Given as a subtle threat of the Orcs’ power, Ruenak accepts the ‘gift’ and takes Orelka in.

Of course Romance blooms sooner or later, because otherwise I wouldn’t be drawing this huhu~ c:
