my name is blaire rosewood and i own a bakery cafe in a small town. on the ground floor, it's just like a normal cafe with tables and chairs. on the second floor, it's a blend of library and cafe, where people usually go to, to study or work. multiple bookshelves are also provided for anyone to borrow or read books in the cafe. while i work mainly as the barista, my (soon-to-be) s/o works as the baker. all his pastries and cakes he makes are really good and they always get sold out by the end of the day.

Tampa Museum of Art’s current exhibition, Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum, features paintings by American and European impressionists and is a lovely reminder of the extraordinary works these artists created during this time period. The enduring popularity of the impressionists throughout the years makes sense when walking among these paintings. The use of color and brush work, as well as the details and beauty of the subject matter (not to mention the wealth and comfort often depicted)- make the viewer feel like they are being transported through time to the artist’s idyllic world.

In 2024, the term “impressionism” celebrates its 150th anniversary. Such a significant occasion inspires reflection on the profound impact that a relatively small group of artists in Paris made by positing a new mode of painting: one that favored painting outdoors over in a studio, immediacy over planning, the everyday over the grand, and the fleeting over the eternal. In doing so, the impressionists upended centuries of traditions in European art. This exhibition explores the radical impulses behind impressionism and its seemingly endless adaptability, as artists from around the world came to Paris to study and returned to their homelands, assimilating what they had absorbed and propelling the movement further.

The Worcester Art Museum pioneered new artistic horizons by embracing impressionism early in its history. The French and American impressionism collections at the Worcester Art Museum have long drawn visitors to the galleries. The first directors purchased works by Monet from his Parisian dealer, Durand-Ruel, as well as directly from American impressionists, making the Museum one of the first in the United States to collect impressionism actively as contemporary art. About the unfinished painting above (from the museum)-

A successful society portraitist, Sargent painted the elite from his international social circles. In June 1890, Sargent visited Worcester, Massachusetts, where he was inundated by requests for portraits. The sitter’s father, Frederick Pratt, a noted collector and eventual acting director of the Worcester Art Museum (1908 and 1917), became friends with the artist and invited him to return a few months later to paint his daughter, Katherine- although the idea for Katherine’s portrait originated in Sargent’s first trip to Worcester, when he had made a sketch of hydrangeas. Sargent’s vision of Katherine against a backdrop of flowers, however, proved less than satisfactory for his client and he abandoned the painting for another, more formal depiction. As an unfinished work, this painting reveals the immediacy of Sargent’s process, with careful attention to broad swaths of color and patterns in the brushwork to convey flower petals or folds of clothing.

There's a song called Japanese whiskey by Ruel (who's like, my favourite singer EVER) and i love it sm and I really want to write something angsty w it. you’ve just unlocked something bad with this ask (my obsession with associating songs with pretty much everything).

i’ll try to answer you briefly but first, note i mostly associate songs with the characters of spn and mlqc! so i’ll start with spn : i associate a lot of songs mainly to sam, dean (and also sam and dean haha) and then castiel and jack.

sam : i’ll begin with perfect by simple plan because i think it shows how much sam thought he’d never reach the expectations set by his dad. then, we have broken crown by mumford & sons that i find very fitting for sam discovering he’s the boy king of hell and the vessel of lucifer. he’s trying so hard to reject what he supposedly is because he thinks his choices define his fate. there’s also the light behind your eyes by my chemical romance because in my opinion, this song really represents sam as a person as he’s kind, feeling guilty of all the losses they have been through but also this hope that we can still find within him after all that happened.

dean : first of all we have the stigma (boys don’t cry) by as it is. the songs really says it all and shows that even with his overgrowing pain, dean tries to keep it together. i also associate interlude : i’m not angry anymore by paramore as i feel like this is the relationship dean has with his father (it’s only my take on it). it shows that even if dean loves their dad he sometimes feels the downside of their childhood and resents john as much as he loves him. then i can add travelling riverside blues & ramble on by led zeppelin because we know that those are dean favourite songs.

as for mlqc, i mostly associate with them genre of music i feel like they would listen to (and after i find fitting songs/artists).

victor : he’d listen to classical music, classic old french songs and some pop music (whitney houston style). he’s a classy man

gavin : he’d listen to rap (us rap) mostly. i can’t really explain it but i like to think that’s the case

shaw : definitely would listen to rock and alternative rock (no one could make me think he’s not a green day & metallica fan with all their albums)

lucien : he’d love jazz!! i know he has a record player and plays his vinyls while he finishes his work

kiro : i think he’d listen to everything because he’s an singer but his favourite genre would be pop (and i think artists like ruel, keshi or dhruv are in his favourites)

i restricted myself and chose only some songs for the brothers otherwise i wouldn’t be able to stop myself (but if by chance you’re interested i have some playlists that i’d love to share and talk about!!)

Uhh Ruel redesigns..? I gotta step up my ability to draw old people.. But let me explain:

I'd usually keep a character like Ruel's nose the same, variety in noses is so beautiful!

But I'm not very comfortable with his characterization as an old big hooked nosed greedy man who is actually rich and works in mines, because those facts together ring me as them being scaringly close to antisemitic tropes.

I am NOT jewish myself, so I might be wrong, plus I don't necesarily think the creators designed him with ill intent-these caricatures have been used so much the general public sees them as harmless without the context of their origin (for example: goblins)

Obviously my take on Ruel would extend from only design: cause greediness is so integral to his story and class (and wife), but I love his character when he's not written as greedy and is important story-wise, so I think he deserves a redesign. This post is already too long, I could probably write his character overhaul in another post, but, basically I'm thinking of a retired heavy metal singer/bounty hunter (but more for the thrill of fighting rather than the pay.. closer to Alibert's bounty hunter era being more for heroism) working as a grumpy (yet a bit goofy once you know him) farmer with interpersonal relationship problems who joins Yugo on his quest and.. Well, the rest is history :) . His headbutting with the tofu brotherhood is rather because he's old and tired and, again, he doesn't really socialize at first.

(also idk what to do about enutrofs in general because of the aforementioned tropes. My Ruel take is an wo12 atheist (aka normal human) who has great longevity and relatively good physical shape cause he was rewarded with that after saving an important eniripsa, or something..)

SUMMARY

frankly speaking, growing up, hanbin is a bit of a delinquent. he never gets into any retroactively career-ending trouble, to be fair, but around every school he goes to for the better part of his childhood, teachers and students alike all know him by name.

and it's not that he's bad, not really. just. bored.

let his parents and counselors tell it and he's an academically gifted kid who was just terribly understimulated. so, they get him into sports. well, sports to start, and then he's in the school band picking up and mastering instruments like a modern savant, and then he's getting voted in as a treasurer for student counsel, and then he skips a grade. and, still, with his plate filled to the brim, jang hanbin finds a way. when he's caught sneaking into the house one night at fifteen, smelling of alcohol and looking entirely too debauched for his age, his parents, hands tied, send him off to boarding school in seoul, a fair trek from their home in busan and further-still from his bad influence friends.

but, well, hanbin is creative. and friendly. so it's only a matter of time before seoul feels like his home away from home. and, as luck would have it, hanbin's precociousness winds up being what kick starts his career. he's skipping school with a couple of friends when he stumbles upon an open audition at golden media entertainment. one of his friends, ever the comedian, jokes about hanbin having exactly the visuals of a k-pop idol and after a round of rock-paper-scissors, dares him to go in and audition, just to see. and, well.

when he calls back home to his parents with the results of this spontaneous endeavor, his father's immediate answer is "fuck no," but with some coaxing from his mother, it turns into a conditional "yes". the "stay out of trouble" goes unspoken, but is heavily implied. fortunately, the nature of training is brutal by design and for once, hanbin finds that he actually doesn't have the time to fuck around. mostly, anyway. where there's a will, there's a way, of course. though, most of his "fucking around" becomes a lot more literal with a new pool of equally pent-up and willing participants. he's sixteen when he signs his contract and seventeen when tidal debuts.

it takes a while for them to build traction, but when they do, it feels like riding the most devious high. he's a variety show darling, a model for more brands than he can really count, and a fucking rockstar. technically, anyway.

it gets a lot easier to chase that bored feeling away.

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke Film Review

Will do anything for the house in film!

Image of Vicky Kaushal lead in the reviewed film Plot: This film is about a married couple who want to buy their own home, but it is prohibitively expensive, so they wander around looking for a cheaper option. Because they do not want to live with their family, which includes parents, uncles, and aunts, the house is small, they lack privacy, and they must compromise and live with their family. They take a significant risk by separating and divorcing in order to purchase a home. So, will they both be able to buy their own home? Will their relationship continue until then? Will they be able to marry again? To answer all of these questions, you'll need to watch the film. Tone and Theme: The tone of this film is romantic comedy, and the theme is Sacrifice and Compromise. The goal of making this film is to convey a message in addition to entertainment that home is not everything. A home can be as small as it wants, but it is made with loved ones and family members, and a husband and wife's relationship is connected by an emotional thread rather than a house. Vicky Kaushal's performance as Kapil is decent. He has done an excellent job portraying a middle-class family and a miser. His character was not particularly strong. As a result, he missed out on an opportunity to do something special. Sara Ali Khan's performance as Saumya is also average, but her comedic timing is exceptional. Some of her scenes appear to be played to perfection. The supporting cast includes Akash Khurana, Anubha Fatehpura, Rakesh Bedi, Sushmita Mukherjee, Neeraj Sood, and Kanupriya Pandit, all of whom contribute to the film's plot. Laxman Utekar, the film's director, came to Hindi cinema from Marathi cinema, where he directed Tapaal (2014) and Lalbaugchi Rani (2016). Luka Chuppi (2019), which he directed, was a success. He is also a successful cinematographer; his direction in this is nothing special; it is weaker than his previous films; the type of films he has directed not seen in this film; it feels like we are watching a film by a very weak director; at times, it feels like the film is being dragged. The screenplay, written by Maitrey Bajpai, Ramiz Ilham Khan, and Laxman Utekar, is weak, and the dialogue is also average. Sandeep Shirodkar's background score falls below average. The Sound design by Nihar Ranjan Samal is nothing special. Costume design by Sheetal Sharma is also acceptable. Editing: Manish Pradhan's editing is poor, and the film feels stretched like rubber. The cinematography by Raghav Ramdoss is good. Production Design: Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray's production design is acceptable. Music: Sachin-Jigar's music is excellent, with two standout songs being Phir Aur Kya Chahiye and Tere Vaaste Achhe have made it good. Choreography: Ganesh Acharya, Vijay Ganguly, Ruel Dausan Varandani's choreography is exceptional. Ganesh Acharya's contribution to the song Tere Vaaste is particularly noteworthy. Climax: The climax can be described as okay. Opinion: Today's youth can see this film once. My photography

This is a few of the shots I got of Ruel when I shadowed Michelle. It was at the Auckland Town Hall and it was so incredible to watch and I am very proud of how the photos turned out.

This was from a show I was asked to shoot in wellington. Park Rd has been my favourite band for a few years now and I have been to 12 of their shows. I have been lucky enough to connect with the band and become good friends with the lead singer and after seeing my photos of Ruel he asked me to shoot their show which was a dream cone true! They posted my work own their instagram after!

This is Molly Payton. I have seen her live a few times now and after posting my photos of her she reposted them on her instagram and I got a lot of traction to my account after she did.

This is a few examples of my other work at concerts such as Lorde, The 1975, Reid - who opened for Park Rd, and Smokefreerockquest Rockiest. I posted some of my photos of The 1975 to tiktok and they got 10 Thousand Likes and almost 50 Thousand views which was very crazy and a little scary.
