Hear me out. Uni au. Both Jurrien and Dec are roommates and are both into Kai. Jurrien is unaware of how Declan feels but Declan is very aware of how much of a good slut Kai is for Jurrien because he hears his roommate praise him through the thin walls of their shared apartment pretty much every night. Declan makes all three of them breakfast in the morning. Declan's friends think he's a fucking idiot. Declan looks like a kicked puppy 98% of the time. Specially when jurrien leaves him to go talk to Kai (and completely misses Dec's facial expression slip bc he's too busy looking at Kai). This the pic that inspired it. the first time decs saw kai? at a party. dancing shyly but looking free and radiant in the arms of a beefy brother (jona tah ofc! a senior) long, slim arms around jona's sturdy neck and shoulders. the slight shy shimmy, even the swaying of his hips is SHY. decs has had 3 beers tbf. he thinks he likes the lanky guy's shy smile. wants to be jona etc

THIS IS THE CRAZIEST; weeks later. decs forgot about the tall lanky guy with the shy smile. one day, after blearily having little to no sleep because his flatmate jurrien brought a guy over and they fucked literally until midnight, slept, and fucked again at dawn lol. the guy isn't actually loud but when he's close, boy, did he sound like he's dying. good to know jurrien who goes to church every Sunday has a strong dick game. alright. BAM!!!!! dec's tall lanky guy with the shy smile is in the kitchen, staring at the kettle as it boils, wearing a size SMALLER hoodie and hilariously shorter pyjama trousers lmao + socks (canon kai is always freezing). the clothes are jurrien's... Declan greets kai. kai blushes. decs offers HIS CLOTHES THAT FIT HIM WELL, BIGGER, EVEN, and well he has to take a cold shower after witnessing such glorious sight...

umm well ofc I want to put my other brother ben Heinrichs sorry his name is so hard to remember - maybe decs catches kai making out with ben h, and ummmmm, kinda mentions it to jurrien. and jurrien's like, "oh, dw abt it bro. kai gets around among us." and decs, puzzled, doesn't ask jurri to elaborate lmao. among us. get it?

It has been appreciate Rüdiger Von Schlotterstein hours for me over the past few weeks. I'm actually tempted to try to learn German so that I can understand the 1993 series :( unless anyone out there has translated it.

But while I have absolutely no clue what any of the characters are saying (😭) I have taken the time to appreciate the appearance of things. so things like Rüdigers clothing, I really like his shoes even his wild sort of spiky brown hair. I thought he was ginger (in the book at least)

I've even started admiring their mannerisms. I think that I - or most, in general, forget to appreciate what isn't said, rather we don't focus on body language enough. It's actually really interesting and can tell us more about a character.

Like this image for example, for those that don't know this is Rüdiger (Rudolph) from the 1993 series I mentioned. This was taken during a scene where Anton’s (Tony) parents had friends(?) around and were looking through old pictures on their tv (?). One or two of the photographs were of Anton wearing a silly outfit, Rüdiger was hiding behind a kitchen counter silently viewing the photos.

He's smiling so sweetly AHH I can't with him. Not to mention the softness about the eyes - the absolute joy that they radiate while looking at the pictures of Anton. It's adorable! Sometimes... Just sometimes he's baby.

This simple gesture made me take a pause, I wouldn't have focused so much on his mannerisms if I had understood what they were saying. The pose, hands and hair and basically everything, despite it being an old show it does look nice for what it was going for (also the stockings... The sock thingies, awesome)

Just a casual Rüdiger balancing himself on the windowsill, what makes this even better is that I think Anna is flirting with Tony, and then you just see Rüdiger in the background like this. Idk I just find it a nice touch.
