📚 Backstory 📚
Childhood: Barnaby was around 3-5 years old when his twin sisters, Toola and Roola, were born. There were some complications at birth, and the twins had some health issues. There were portions of their legs with dead nerves, and their immune systems were weak. Their parents immediately began researching and experimenting to create a serum that could heal them. In the meantime, Barnaby always took care of his sisters, he would carry them places, let them piggy back or sit on his shoulders, and he’d do anything for them. After a few years of collaborating with peers and eliminating all possible faults from the serum, they tested it on Toola and Roola’s cells with no apparent repercussions. With the tests’ success they injected Toola and Roola with the serum, and it was a success. Their dead cells were reanimated and their immune systems recovered. Now able to run around they frequently wrestled and played with Barnaby—who still made great efforts to be gentle with them.
Adolescence: From childhood to adolescence Barnaby was frequently teased by peers for his size, for being “ugly,” and for being quiet, these things built insecurities in him, but the presence of his twin sisters gave him something to stand up for, and he successfully defended them from bullies many times. He had a series of bad relationship experiences throughout his mid-late adolescence which only made him more quiet and insecure. But through reflection and experience he has slowly become wiser to relationships, even if he still struggles with a lot of the same things, being too quiet, being too easily flustered, having a hard time saying no to things even if he doesn’t want them.
Young Adulthood: Just as Barnaby approached young adulthood he fully realized his passion of protecting others, and began a habit of searching for people who need help. These habits eventually led him to wilderness areas he knew well, and discovered there were a great many people who often needed help in places like these. He decided to oversee any areas he could as often as possible for people who needed direction or protection, and would defend, guard, and guide them as needed. Since then he has always done this.
Adulthood: TBD
Present Day: Barnaby is dedicated to being an overseer in areas of dangerous wilderness, defending whoever needs protection. He sometimes will travel to places outside of Brisban Wildlands for a change of scenery and more opportunities to help and protect. He is still very close with his sisters and his parents, and will have days where he will hang out with them. He also has met and built a relationship with an Asura named Prinette, although it took a long time for Barnaby to get over his anxieties and trust issues from past relationships, the two have built a strong bond and love each other very much.

After having Zarrn and his sister Zonnja they became less active in their pranks, not wanting to endanger their kids, but they let him join in on the trouble making sometimes. These days his folks are still mischievous and play pranks on peers, but they're more agreeable and more people seek them out for their intellectual abilities. Zarrn has a good relationship with his folks, and they frequently plan pranks on each other. He learned most of what he knows about scheming/pranking/trap-making from them, although while his parents became agreeable enough to work with people and benefit them, Zarrn remains very troublesome to work with and much less helpful. His sister is the complete opposite to her prankster family members, and wishes they’d all have better manners. She and Zarrn butt heads a lot, Zonnja is often embarrassed by Zarrn, and he often pesters her—but despite this they do care about each other, and anyone who makes Zonnja cry is in for some severe prankage.

📚 Backstory 📚
Childhood: Zarrn showed great potential for necromancy at a young age, picking up the concepts with ease. With his parents’ help he was able to develop necromantic skills quickly—and he would use these skills to prank his peers even at a young age. His parents pulled pranks on him too, they were always fun innocent pranks, and this became a regular family practice—with the exception of Zarrn’s sister Zonnja, who would cry at any prank no matter how innocent, so pranking her became off-limits.
Adolescence: Zarrn continued to be a trouble-maker to a point even his impish parents began to feel like he needed to dial it back. Through some correction and some pranks gone terribly wrong Zarrn learned to manage his pranks and who he pranks better, though he’s still more devious than his parents.
Young Adulthood: Zarrn attempted college, and hated it. He spent most of his time toying with his peers, in particular the hoity-toity ones, and eventually flunked out completely, not that he cared. He found an abandoned run-down lab in Metrica Province and started hanging out there all the time—eventually collecting furniture and various knick-knacks and keeping them there. He also found a secret literal hole-in-the-wall in Rata Sum that he moved into as a secondary living location.

Present Day: Zarrn mainly hangs around Asuran-populated areas such as Metrica Province and Rata Sum, pranking who he can. His most-likely victims are Asura who seem the most up-tight or egocentric, as they have the most entertaining reactions, other than that he most frequently pranks peers and friends. He will mess with other races too because he's amused by the variety in how they react to pranks, but Asura are his most common victims due to how offended they become. But it is worth noting if someone shows great pain/hurt from pranks he’s pulled he’ll feel guilty. In most cases he will find some low-key method to apologize/make it up to them, with minimal interaction with said person as he already hates interacting with others, much less others he feels guilt towards. The person may never even know they’ve received an attempted apology from Zarrn, such as an unmarked package or unnamed letter saying the writer is “sorry to hear about what happened” and “whoever did that must be a dumbass.”

Kezz was the result of a krewe’s efforts to produce test-tube progeny, although he came out premature and small, he was still alive and healthy even if weak. The krewe began to have arguments about the experiments and division of credit and in the end disbanded, but had to decide what to do with Kezz and the few other progeny they’d made. They each took one, but Kezz was left, and none of them wanted another child much less a runt. The leader decided to give Kezz to his ‘father,’ in other words the Asura whose DNA was used to produce Kezz in a test tube. He had voluntarily donated his DNA to the project.
Although keeping the resulting progeny in exchange for one’s DNA donation wasn’t a part of the deal (unless the donator so desired,) the leader handed Kezz off to his DNA-donator father, Lezzon. The leader didn’t give Lezzon much of a chance to retort and bailed quickly. Lezzon hadn’t expected to be given a child in exchange for his donation, but he couldn’t abandon this small shaking runt, and accepted Kezz as his son.
Lezzon had been struggling to keep up with other Asura, while he was intelligent, he worked better with cogs and gears than wiring and magic. For this he didn’t have a very good reputation among his community and was frequently ostracized. Having a runt for a son didn’t help matters, but Lezzon never blamed Kezz for that, in fact Kezz was his one solace in life.
When Kezz was still just a young progeny, Lezzon was helping some of his colleagues with a project, when it was thwarted by jealous rivals, causing an explosion of energy and lightning that struck many. Lezzon was struck primarily in his face, and lost his sight. Needless to say this further wounded his reputation as his lack of sight made it even harder to keep up, and he was fully ostracized from the community and no one would work with him.
At a loss, Lezzon took Kezz and left, allowing him to sit on his shoulders and be his eyes as they looked for a new home. Eventually a Sylvari woman, Desdemona, took pity on them, and welcomed them into her home. She offered to let them live with her, as they seemed to not have anywhere else to stay. Lezzon agreed, not knowing where else to go at this point. Kezz grew up in The Grove and Caledon Forest, learning the ways of nature and the elements through Desdemona. She was very warm and loving towards Lezzon and Kezz, she even joyfully asked them to refer to her as “Dezz” and now they all matched! Kezz began to see Dezz as a mother-figure, and almost immediately began calling her “mama” just a few months after he and his father settled in with her, much to her delight.
Lezzon had all but given up on intellectual pursuits, finding it difficult to re-learn things without sight, but with Dezz’s help as well as other Sylvari in the community he began to pick things back up. At present day he is more intelligent than before, now able to picture things moving in his mind and give direction to helpers accordingly, thanks to this he helps Sylvari around The Grove and Caledon with any construction or machinery needs.
Today Kezz sticks to The Grove and Caledon Forest, he is independent, but due to his small weak body he doesn’t venture out very far from home unless he has at least one other person, just in case, to go with him. He lives at home with Dezz and Lezzon, but has no problem sleeping in inns, houses of friends, or in secure spots outside of home. He helps where he’s needed, and does his best to step out of his comfort zone, even if his weak body doesn’t give him much wiggle room in certain areas.

Rizz chose to mainly stay with his mother in Rata Sum so he could go to college, but occasionally accompanies Bo on adventures. In about the middle of Rizz’s time at college he was involved in an incident where he was mortally wounded, Bo and Reeka put aside their differences to save their son. Bo used his engineering knowledge and Reeka used her prosthetic knowledge and together they were able to save Rizz’s life.
Present Day: Bo continues exploring, making new friends and reuniting with old ones. He journals all his adventures/findings, and makes efforts to call/write his son Rizz about his journeys every day and hear about Rizz’s own day as well. Bo documents everything Rizz tells him, and Rizz does the same for the things Bo tells him.

📚 Backstory 📚
Childhood: Crystal had no interest in education and frequently skipped lessons to explore and climb around outside, her parents insisted on her going to school, even instructing her professors to not allow her to leave during class. This led to her frequently being behind in class material and flunking out of every class because even if she wasn’t allowed to leave she didn’t pay any attention and instead would goof off. She was ostracized by many of her peers for not taking her education seriously. Her only friends were a few other progeny, and her twin brother Quasi who hung out with her frequently. Her parents frequently scolded her for being irresponsible and acting like a buffoon in her actions and manners. Quasi paid more attention in class, but felt driven to other areas of interest which became a frequent argument topic between him and his parents. Over time he became more and more rebellious and aloof.
Adolescence: In her adolescence Crystal still struggled with school and her parents’ expectations. But worse, she watched sadly as Quasi got involved with a shady crowd of “friends” that used questionable substances much to the dismay and fear of Crystal and their parents. Once Quasi continued to hang out with Crystal less and less, while simultaneously becoming worse and worse physically and mentally, Crystal put her foot down and had an intervention with Quasi about his behavior and so-called “friends.” He broke down and opened up about his struggles, motivating Crystal to confront their parents about both of their struggles. Crystal and Quasi set up a meeting with their parents and explained how they felt negatively affected by the way their parents were raising them. Their parents were completely shocked, and completely broken-hearted to hear what their actions had put their children through. After a tearful apology and group hug, Quasi agreed to cut ties with the shady crowd he’d been hanging out with, and their parents agreed to be less strict about what they thought was best—and to be more flexible to their children’s wishes. Quasi started hanging out with Crystal again for the next few years as she and their parents helped him get back on his feet.
Young Adulthood: Crystal and her twin brother Quasi headed out to tackle the world together, eventually meeting people from other races as well as their own. Eventually they realized they couldn’t stay attached at the hip forever. After saying their goodbyes Crystal headed off to find her own adventures, while Quasi stayed with some new friends they had made, as well as an old fellow classmate of theirs, Snazz. Although she’s been on a few adventures, and still takes off from time-to-time, Crystal ultimately decided to return home and help with her mother’s clothing business.

Young Adulthood: Awoke from The Dream. He partook in the war on Zhaitan as well as the war on Mordremoth. He lost many good friends, and the stress of war was too much for him, shortly after Mordremoth was defeated he left The Pact and began his life as a wanderer.
Adulthood: In his wanderings he helped many people and made many new friends. One day he returned to The Grove after hearing more Sylvari were going to be emerging, and he was thrilled for the opportunity to mentor some saplings. It was there that he met Jishore, a very timid curious sapling. While he helped to teach and guide most of the saplings that emerged that day, Jishore had the most questions and seemed to need the most help, which Trumbus was more than happy to provide. Once the time came for Trumbus to return to his travels, Jishore requested to join him and Trumbus giddily accepted.
Present Day: Trumbus and Jishore travel together, lending a hand and solving problems wherever they go. The two have gotten closer over time and treat each other as family.

Childhood: Snazz grew up in a very loving home. While his father Jullez was bed-ridden a majority of the time, he doted on Snazz and his little sister Forcas as much as he could. Snazz and Forcas spent a lot of time in their father’s room hanging out with him and listening to stories he told them. When they weren’t there they were helping their mother Kulli out baking pastries for her bakery. Both his parents recognized Snazz’s natural talent for magic, and got him a tutor as soon as they could. One day when Snazz was around 5 years old his parents went to see some peers about a possible cure for Jullez’s condition, leaving Snazz and Forcas in the care of a parental golem unit. They never returned, instead a group of Inquest came back, trying to convince Snazz and Forcas to go with them and that something had gone wrong. Snazz had a bad feeling that bad intentions were afoot, and challenged what the Inquest had told them. Through their bickering the Inquest let details slip and Snazz became convinced his parents had both perished. Snazz used what little magic he’d learned to scare the Inquest off. Before they could come back with reinforcements Snazz collected what he could from their home (food, books, his father’s journals, and some small devices) and bolted with Forcas in-tow, the parental golem unit following behind them.
Adolescence: From his childhood through to his adolescence Snazz traveled with his little sister Forcas, raising her to the best of his ability, and having a parental golem unit around helped. He got some help from friendly travelers, and at a point he and Forcas ran into a friendly elderly couple who specialized in tutoring progeny—and allowed the two to stay with them for a short period while they caught them up on education they’d missed out on.
Young Adulthood: By the time Snazz was reaching young adulthood Forcas was starting to become more independent, and wanted to start her own path in life. While Snazz was horribly saddened, he did everything he could to help her find what she needed to take on the world.
Adulthood: After going their separate ways Snazz took to wandering, not really sure what to do now that his sister could take care of herself. He took to traveling to keep his mind busy, visited old friends, made new ones, and used his magic to spread wonder everywhere he went.

📚 Backstory 📚
Childhood: When Trezzi was young her mother became obsessed with concepts of beauty being just as important, if not more important, than intelligence. She often insisted on dressing Trezzi certain ways to make her more “appealing” though Trezzi’s father discouraged this treatment. Nonetheless her mother continued, even dyeing Trezzi’s hair different colors in attempts to reach these higher levels of “beauty”. Her mother became so obsessed she even used an experimental dye on Trezzi’s hair to make it “ethereal” and it resulted in all of Trezzi’s hair falling out. When she wasn’t being tormented by her mother’s obsession Trezzi sat beside her father’s desk, watching and listening as he researched The Mists. Although her father disagreed with her mother’s obsession he was often to distracted by his own research to do much about it.
Adolescence: By the time Trezzi reached adolescence she’d had enough of her mother “treating her like a doll”. Her father had finally developed a portal to The Mists, and was doing final tests before deciding to turn it on. Trezzi turned the portal on herself and declared she wasn’t going to let her mother “toy with her” any further, before either of her parents could stop her she leapt through the portal and it fell apart, but she made it safely to The Mists. Although regretful of her decision once she realized where she was, she quickly got to work learning how to survive.
Young Adulthood: While she thrived in The Mists and learned much, she had no idea how to make it back to Tyria. Meanwhile in Tyria, her parents split up, and her father had worked obsessively to rebuild the portal. Once he did, he leapt into The Mists to find his daughter. It took a few years, but the two finally reunited in The Mists to their delight. And after a few more years of exploring The Mists, the two managed to find their way back to Tyria.
Adulthood: Once back in Tyria, Trezzi felt as though nothing could stop her after what she experienced in The Mists, and the new connections she’d made to legendary powers. She decided to keep her ears out for dangerous threats in Tyria she could help defeat, staying with her father in the meantime while he continued his research of The Mists.

Childhood: As a child Khallalh struggled with nonverbal communication and had delays in his speech development as well as delays in expressing himself. He struggled in classes with other progeny, and they didn’t get along well with him. His parents instead got him a private tutor who taught him subjects as well as helped him develop his social skills and manage his sensory issues. When his parents divorced they left it up to him to decide who he wanted to stay with, he chose his mother, but was still allowed to visit his father for periods of time.
Adolescence: Through his adolescence Khallalh made a lot of leeway in his social skills, although still struggling to interact flawlessly with others. He studied long and hard, determined to stay at the same levels as peers his age, if not past. His hard work paid off, and he was able to resume attending classes with other progeny.
Young Adulthood: Khallalh chose to attend the College of Statics, and passed with flying colors. While there he reunited with an Asura named Nevvi that he had met as a child. She recognized him and the two struck up a friendship. They worked well together, and over time they became closer and developed a romantic relationship. Once Khallalh graduated he became the captain of a small Krewe, which Nevvi joined. But then something went…horribly wrong. Nevvi is no longer around, and the Krewe split up. Khallalh remained in a deep secluded depression for several months until one day in Rata Sum when he overheard Councillor Flax berating a crude Asura by the name of Vexuviux who was under arrest by Peacemakers. Khallalh stood up for Vexuviux, and was tasked with “researching” him to figure out what made him so barbaric, and to “fix” his behaviors. After successfully freeing Vex from Councillor Flax, Khallalh returned to his lab, and Vexuviux decided to join him there. The two later ran into three more Asura, Jozzik (The Great), Darijja, and Forcas, and once the three began hanging around Khallalh’s lab more and more, they decided to unite as the “Misfit Krewe” since the five of them were each misfits in their own ways. It still was a few months before Khallalh and Vex acknowledged they had feelings for each other, and entered a relationship together.

After successfully freeing Vexuviux from Councillor Flax, Khallalh returned to his lab, and Vexuviux decided to join him there.
