I was listening to the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood soundtrack and kept mentally assigning songs to certain arcs and episodes of RQG, so I made a playlist with the explanations below the cut!
Link to the playlist.
1: Other London (10-11)  - Mount Briggs - Undulation
There’s a certain intrigue and mystery to this song that reminds me of the early Other London arc. The party getting defeated by Barrett’s gang. All of Sasha’s bad fears and memories coming to haunt her. Hamid being forced to wear the ring. A good, solid dose of creepiness.
2: The Channel (31 Water Way to Go) - The Intrepid
Zolf, Sasha and Hamid on their little boat braving the terrible, terrible storm. Sasha getting washed overboard, Zolf jumping in to save her. Hamid desperately clutching the boat as it capsizes. Zolf screaming at Poseidon to please not kill his friends. The calm of the storm finally settling over them.
3: Paris (42-43) - Beneath the City
The party going down into the catacombs. Sasha in the dark, sneaking around quietly with her flashlight. Discovering the giant pit of chemicals and tubes running down from above.
4: Paris (43 Hunted) - Pride
The tentacle monster.
5: Paris (46 Theseus’ Ship) - Anticipation
Basically the entirety of the Mr. Ceiling arc. Discovering Mr. Ceiling - walking into the brain room and realizing the extent of the tragedy that is making Mr. Ceiling work. Sasha’s realization about Brock. The party trying to reason with Mr. Ceiling but only giving him terrible, terrible ideas.
6: Paris (50 Everything’s Fine) - The Awakening
The party discovering they’re in a simulation - Hamid giving up as the rest try to escape. Sasha and Zolf realizing they can’t leave Hamid behind as they stand in front of the open door and see themselves frozen in time. Reality shifting around Hamid as Brock tells him to get out and to protect Sasha. Hamid running.
7: Paris (54 Paris is Burning) - Resembool’s Lullaby
Zolf, in his room, alone, doubting everything.
8: Prague (77 Hello Kafka) - Philosophorum Omega
Kafka taking the stage and addressing Prague, reading from his book as immense necromantic energy starts filling the space. Hamid stepping onto the stage behind Kafka, alone, aiming his crossbow at the book. Several floors down, in the flooded basement, we see Grizzops face as he pokes his head around the corner and sees a hoard of zombies heading towards them. Hamid’s crossbow misfires, and Kafka turns towards him as Bertie steps off the balcony. As all the energy in the room is focused towards Hamid, we see a ripple go through the silently frozen watching audience below him.
9: Prague (78 Stage Fright) - Sorrowful Stone
Sasha and Grizzop bursting into the auditorium too late as Bertie makes his final, cowardly choice and suffocates. Hamid’s sister being flung in the rafters while the camera spins up, up and away to the roof of the opera house and we see Hamid curled up underneath a buttress as the rain falls around him, the skyline of Prague grows darker as the clouds begin to shift around the opera house at the height of the ritual, and we hear the cries of zombies all around Prague as they begin to rise.
10: Damascus (106/107) - Dissident’s Creed
Sasha watching from the shadows as the party interrogate Barrett. All the pain and hurt and fear from her entire youth flooding over her as she listens to what he has to say, and then finally, making a decision, stepping out of the shadows to confront him. To let him know exactly what she thinks of him. To draw a line underneath her past.
11: Damascus (114/115) - Fifth Laboratory
The party working efficiently to sabotage the factory when a voice in Hamid’s mind informs him about Ishaq’s kidnapping. Control slipping away from the party as this is followed by more bad news about everyone else’s loved ones. Things are spiralling. Azu desperately looking around as the rest of the party descends into a mess of emotions, unsure about what to do as a voice in her ear threatens her brother’s life. Hamid, furious, breathing fire into the mirror until it shatters in thousands of pieces, while below on the factory floor Grizzop, angry-crying, keeps efficiently breaking machinery.
12: Rome (126 Don’t let Go) - The Day the Sun Disappeared
The planeshift. Eldarion stepping in the middle of the circle and looking at Sasha, smiling through her tears. A god reaching for the party as they spin, spin away from the plane at impossible speed. Hands slipping from other hands. Fates sealed.
13: Ancient Rome (ARS 4) - Consonance
As the dragons tear Rome to bits, Sasha goes over to Grizzop, closes his eyes and hugs him... and then decides to get up and keep going, walking out of Rome.
14: Rome/Cairo/Japan - Requiem of the Brigadier General
Azu and Hamid, alone.
