Rinji is currently stuck in Tural, and has been there for a few moons now. The tension and the continuous problems have been getting to her a little.

I actually used natural weather in both screenshots. I walked into these zones and it really felt like the game picked up on the mood I wanted to convey.

She hasn't been at the sea in so long.

Their Tural trip has been all sorts of trouble. All sorts of stress, problems, never-ending obstacles, one after another.

But it's also been daily trips to Xbalyav T'ye, befriending street kids and teaching them all sorts of things, getting to know each other and simply sharing in a good drink.

One night comes back to her often. Being pulled into the water, laughing as the water splashes between them. Fizz and Max chatting behind them. The serenity of the night giving way to the absolute joy shared between them all.

That night, for the first time in what felt like forever, she wasn't burdened by anything in the world.

That night, Rinji was on cloud nine.

Rinji sat down at her new office, staring at the pile of unfinished, unending paperwork that is now her duties. Of course, nobody said she should take it, but she knew that there's no one else who can. There's barely anyone as unaffected by the tragedy as her. She sits at a dead man's desks, writing down dead men's names, all while trying to calculate the sheer cost it's going to take for them to rebuild this shamble of a house. Not to mention, get over everything that has happened mentally.

Rinji does not worry for herself. Yes, she has had multiple arguments about this already, but it only made her more resolved. Let others enjoy their vacation into Tural. Let others travel. She has seen enough.

Small cough is her companion these days. The sudden wake the other day and catching a cold did not do her productivity any wonders. But who's gonna do it if not her? And so she continues writing, as her eyebags deepen, and her vision blurs.

She takes a bit of rest. It doesn't seem like she'll get any sleep any time soon. So she is better off just getting up and continuing her work.

"Are you doing alright, Rinji? Maybe join us for a drink?"

Rinji looks up from her desk. She smiles. Her tired, unfocused gaze is telling.

"Nah. Go on without me. I've gotta negotiate the prices of lumber tonight."

Rinji kept looking from the small cliff they found themselves onto the pathway uphill, upon the great mountain looking over the entirety of Urqopacha. Somewhere deep following that path, her friends are giving their life to save them. Somewhere deep in there, they are faced with one of the biggest monsters she has ever seen. Somewhere deep in there, they might give their last cry, lost within the isolation.

But she's not somewhere in there. She's here. Keeping watch. Hoping, waiting. Surely, at least one of them would run back? But no. There's nothing.

The night draws long. Her watch must continue.
