Roy’s forced to confront his feelings for Jamie as they explore the city together.

To Roy’s dismay, the lift stops one floor down to let on a man and his toddler-aged child. “Ope, good morning,” the man greets, scooping up his child as he nudges into the lift, tucking in beside the buttons, “I’m just gonna sneak right past ya there, if you don’t mind.”

Roy says nothing.

“I take it you’re here for the soccer match?” The man says, conversationally, nodding to Roy’s jumper, “My wife’s just in love with that Ted Lasso. I mean, I haven’t caught much of what he’s done across the pond, you know, but my wife’s from Kansas, and she says he’s just…worked miracles for their college football team down there.”

Roy nods, the lift ride seemingly dragging on as he says politely, “That’s Ted for you.”

“Woah!” The man remarks, doing a double take at Roy’s accent, “You’re a long way from home!”
