The irony considering that Charlie was in a queer relationship herself, but just because he was gay didn't mean he knew how to decorate a hotel lobby! He had barely been able to start decorating his own room since the rebuild, especially since Valentino had been working him longer and harder. Most likely because the Vees suddenly had their egos inflated even more after everything had happened.

" tipping his hat, lucifer smiles briefly from his seat at the bar. he hadn't been around this many people since charlie was a child. it was definitely something.. to get used too - minus the fact that most of them probably knew her better than he did. double ouch. but getting to know charlie's friends was a step in the right direction, right? swirling the ice in his glass, lucifer tilts his head in angel's direction before finishing his drink. " heh, look at us angel's at the bar. " a stupid grin finds the king as he laughs at his own dumb dad joke. " what a.. heavenly meeting! " / i am so sorry angel lmao

"Yup, that's mah' name. But yeh' can call meh' anythin' yeh' like, Short King~." A wink, and if Lucifer was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people he was being surrounded with, this conversation alone was probably going to be overwhelming. Because Angel Dust was a lot to handle, even when he had toned it down. Still, he knew better than to be too over the top - this was Charlie's dad, after all. She had just gotten close with him again, and Angel didn't want to scare the other off and ruin that.

He took a sip of his own drink, about to ask how Lucifer felt about everything his daughter was doing, about just being here in general. While he could be over the top, he also understood mental health pretty damn well. He knew that Lucifer hadn't just abandoned his daughter for seven years (Lilith, however, it seemed had). But before he could, the King of Hell was saying that drink, and Angel found himself laughing.

A genuine laugh, not forced like when he was trying to hide his pain behind the facade. Then it only got worse in the best way, Angel stifling a giggle behind his gloved hands, eyes sparkling as they looked over at the blonde. "Ah' ain't neva' had a dad tah' tell meh' dumb dad jokes. Ah' mean like...ah' did but...he don't count as much of a dad. Charlie's really lucky she got yeh'."
