Roy Chiu is one of my favorite Taiwanese actors. Bring in Tiffany Hsu and it’s a match made perfect couple. The storyline is beautiful heartbreakingly written. It’s the classic bad boy slash good girl Romeo Juliet type of romance. That needs a ten tissue boxes warning before watching warning. It’s well written beautifully acted and if you’re in a mood for a good tearjerker this is must watch.

Man In Love (2021)

My eyes are swollen. From crying again. I don't understand why I love stories like these so much. It must be because of the way the story went, how unironically silly it was, to being one of the most well written, realistically painful plots.

The underrated soundtrack, the evolution of the characters, their unconditional love, the momentary happiness, the inevitable pain...I felt it all as they did. It can make you miss your loved ones along the journey the characters themselves take. It reminded me of my grandpa, the memories we made, the conversations we had and the dreams we shared. Just like I'm sure, everyone else would feel and definitely get reminded of someone seeing this movie.

The leads, Roy chiu and Tiffany Tsu, unbelievable. Crazy acting. They were them, A-Cheng and Hao Ting.

Panel 1: "This old couple, Benita and Gonzalo were going back to Earth after visiting their son who worked at a space station. They were from Chile, from a city named 'Puerto Montt' that they encouraged me to visit sometime. I told them my story". Benita says "That 'Roi' girl sounds like a very interesting person! I hope I can meet her someday!'. The narration continues. "Gonzalo was a lawyer and he told me he had also been a local politician some years prior to all this. Benita was a housewift (although years ago she had been a music teacher). Both explained to me what I should expect and do once I arrived on Earth, in greater detail than what Roi had told me".

Panel 2: "Honestly, I only came to realize how incredibly lucky I had been years later while thinking about it. What are the odds of befriending a human couple who were not only willing to let you get into Earth with them but also to pay for your brand new ID? I promised them that I'd return them the money and the favor as soon as I could".

Panel 3: Sher is taking a bath. He says "They taught me what a 'shampoo' and a 'conditioner' were, and I finally understood why when Roi returned she had a very pleasant smell on top of her usual scent."

Panel 4: Both Benita and Sher are singing 'Chiu chiu' together. Benita is playing Sher's guitar. The narration says "Benita not only taught me how to tune my guitar, but also taught me chords and some of her music knowledge. She also said she loved my voice. That felt very nice".

I love k-dramas! Some of my favorites off the top of my head: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, the K2, Suspicious Partner, Boys Over Flowers, Faith, Business Proposal. I have plenty more favorites, those are just the ones that popped into my mind fast enough to include them in this ask. The Glory was really good too, but I prefer romance stuff. I also really like Chinese historical romance dramas, and taiwanese stuff (anything with Roy Chiu).

The K2!! YEAH!!

My most favourite Kdrama in existence. Honestly, I love everything that Ji Chang Wook plays (haha, ik I'm biased), so I loved Suspicious partner, the healer, sound of music, and backstreet rookie.

I watched boys over flowers but I actually liked the chinese version (meteor garden) more. And business proposal tho!! It was a very lighthearted change for me. Even tho I prefer crime, thriller, action and intellectual dramas more than romance.

On the other hand, the Glory really is a masterpiece. Loved it. I loved Reborn Rich too!!

Oh and I recently watched The King: Eternal monarch. You should watch it since you prefer romance (if you haven't already). It's really good.

Gió thổi lao xao trên những hàng cây dầu, cây sao trồng dọc những con đường lớn, đem lại cảm giác mát mẻ, lâng lâng, trong lòng người đang náo nức đón xuân. Sau ngày hai ba tháng Chạp cúng đưa Ông táo về trời, không khí Tết rộn ràng hẳn lên. Từ khắp các cửa ngõ thành phố, dưa hấu được trở bằng ghe, thuyền, bằng xe tải đổ về các chợ lớn nhỏ và chất đầy cả các sạp ven đường. Thôi thì đủ các loại: dưa để trưng trên bàn thờ Tết, trái lớn hàng chục kí, màu da xanh bóng; dưa hấu Long Trì ngọt ngon nổi tiếng bày bên cạnh dưa ruột đỏ, ruột vàng của Gò Công, Mỹ Tho... Người miền Nam ăn Tết không thể thiếu được món này vì nó đem lại cảm giác nhẹ nhàng, dễ chịu trong những ngày nắng nóng. Bên cạnh dưa hấu là hàng chục thứ trái cây quen thuộc, thứ nào cũng đẹp, cũng quý như bưởi Năm Roi, vú sữa Cái Bè, măng cụt Lái Thiêu, quýt Lai Vung, xoài cát Hòa Lộc, thanh long Châu Thành... Khi đặt cạnh nhau, màu sức tương phản của chúng sẽ tạo nên bức tranh tĩnh vật tuyệt vời, thể hiện sự trù phú, phì nhiêu của xứ sở này. Theo đường thủy và đường bộ, hoa cùng cây cảnh từ miền Tây lên, từ Đà Lạt xuống, từ các vùng trồng hoa ở ngoại thành vào, tràn ngập khắp nơi. Các chợ hoa như Tao Đàn, công viên 23 thàng 9 với hàng trăm loài hoa đua nhau kheo hương, khoe sắc. Phong lan, địa lan, hồng, cúc, lay- ơn, loa kèn, hướng dương, huệ, cẩm chướng... thứ nào cũng đẹp, cũng thu hút du khách. Người xem tập trung rất đông ở khu trừng bày cây cảnh để thưởng ngoạn vẻ kì thú của những chậu mai bon sai cổ thụ hàng trăm tuổi, đủ mọi hình thù lạ mắt, bông hoa khá lớn với ba bốn lớp cánh mịn màng màu vàng tươi, vàng nghệ hoặc trắng ngần. Khách xúm xít bàn tán, bình luận bên những cây mai chi chít nụ xanh, lác đác vài bông nở sớm... Miền Nam là xứ sở của mai. Hoa mai tượng trưng cho mùa xuân phương Nam. Cây chắt chiu tinh túy từ lòng đất suốt một năm, để đến khi Tết đến, xuân về, bừng nở sắc hoa vàng rực như lời chúc tốt lành, may mắn. Đi dạo trong chợ hoa xuân, ta sẽ thấy tâm hồn rạo rực niềm vui và hi vọng. Khi hoàng hôn đã tắt và màn đêm buông xuống, thành phố Hồ Chí Minh lung linh, rực rỡ trong ánh đèn màu. Từ trên cao nhìn xuống, ta sẽ thấy bao nhiêu con đường là bấy nhiêu dòng sông ánh sáng cuồn cuộn chảy trôi vô tận. Âm thanh thành phố là thứ âm thanh náo nhiệt của một trung tâm công nghiệp và thương mại lớn nhất nước. Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh đang rang rộng vòng tay, đón người từ trăm nẻo về đây chung sống góp phần tạo nên một gương mặt mới mẻ, trẻ trung và hiện đại cho thành phố thân yêu. Ngày xuân long phụng sung vầy, bên em mùa xuân, các cửa hàng cứ bật đi bật lại những ca khúc ấy khiến cho những người đi mua sắm cũng cảm thấy mong chờ đón xuân sang. Tiết trời mùa xuân ở miền Nam không có mưa phùn như ở miền Bắc, không quá lạnh nhưng cũng có chút gió se se. Cái không khí dễ chịu ấy khiến cho người ta thảnh thơi ra đường đi thăm người thân của mình hay đi lễ chùa.
