bweird OC-tober Day 11 Symbolism/Themes

Decided to do the OC symbolism meme that was floating around a while ago!! Had a super fun time doing it for these two!!

Explanations beneath the cut!

KIRA Orange- Despite being orange I do just associate her with a deep pumpkin orange and the colour of rust. Plus orange symbolizing caution but also enthusiasim fits her perfectly Thorns- Thorns can mean sin, and falling down to a lower level. Kira feels they deeply sinned when she desperately ate a human corpse to survive starvation. Imagine waking up a sentient being and recognizing you just ate another one to survive! It deeply messed with her. The thorns also mean they are extremely wary of letting anyone close to her.

Human - When you know you are a bearded vulture, but don't fit in with your species anymore, but you don't fit in either with the species that will recognize you but you so desperately want to :) Silverware - The draw back to being able to shapeshift into anything she eats mean she's always hungry and never satisfied. How to Eat Life by EVE - It's self explanatory when you look at the lyrics. Estrangement - "The fact of no longer being on friendly terms or part of a social group." ROXANNE Wine Red - Red is usually associated with anger and passion, plus she does have a passion for a good red wine. Brugmasia - Meaning Vivacity, vibrancy, health, danger Wolverine - Small but extremely mighty! Cute but also can kill you Bug Zapper - Immediately seems like a silly choice but Roxanne often feels like she hurts those around her intentionally and unintentionally. How is a bug zapper able to do it's purpose without hurting those around it? Snowcone by Rei Ami - Again self explanatory due to the lyrics. She's just a thrift store sweater with the holes Resentful - OH BOY. Roxanne has been used by her adoptive family from an extremely young age to help with the business and scam others. Add that to a lot of her family being over protective to due a magic/soul disability she's got a lot of pent up anger and resentment!!! And then add being a savior to basically an entire country on top of that when you're only 18 and all the expectations people have of you it's no wonder it's basically her main emotive state!!

bweird OC-tober Day 10 Personality

Roxanne is.... extremely complicated. High confidence, low self-esteem. She has extreme anger issues but is unfailingly kind and patient when people need her to be. Volatile is how most the people who know her would describe her. She has big emotions! and never had the right tools to deal with them. But thanks to the wonderful friends she's made along her journey she's learning to use her anger as a tool and not just to lash out at those around her and herself. She's come a long way! But she still has a long road left.
