look at this absolutely stunning black widow lady!! for some reason, my phone camera couldn't pick up her red mark, but it was very bold and beautiful.

sadly, she had to be relocated outside - grandmother's basement is unfortunately not an appropriate spot for her to potentially produce hundreds of additional friends. hopefully she found a warm enough spot to survive, but in any case, i was honored to meet her!

I imagine she'll do just fine outside! Godspeed lil lady ily

thing is, though, transition is just a form of self-expression. there's no legitimate moral reason to be against it. participating in the act of creation, be it art, music, or gender expression, is human nature, and it always has been, whether or not you find it distasteful.

sure, the other asks i sent were just me goofing around trying to be annoying, and i know your views probably aren't going to be changed by any number of legitimate points, but i do hope that someday you'll be able to see things in a different light.

i don't respect you. but that's okay, because you don't respect me either. i'll leave you alone with this message (i'd say sorry for being a nuisance earlier, but i'm not really.)

I agree with you that transition is self expression. I’m not against transitioning in itself, although I do have doubts about the safety of HRT and “gender affirming” surgery, just as I have doubts about the safety of many other cosmetic surgeries. But just as I’m not going to try to advocate for nose jobs to be outlawed (for adults), I’m not going to try to advocate for trans surgeries and hormone treatment to be outlawed (for adults).

I just think that transition doesn’t change one’s sex, and that I shouldn’t be expected to pretend it does. That’s all. I don’t want to be expected to subscribe to somebody else’s belief system.

As far as “change of heart” or “seeing things in a different light” goes…I was supportive of the trans community for years before I found myself agreeing with the gender critical standpoint. Eventually, the homophobia and misogyny that seems to be inherent in the trans community became something I couldn’t tolerate, and it pushed me to see what others were saying. And I agreed. I don’t want heterosexual males in the lesbian community. I don’t want heterosexual females demanding entrance into gay male spaces. I don’t want to pretend there’s nothing wrong with, for example, women’s STEM scholarships going to male people who have no reason to need to be encouraged to be in STEM the same way female people do.

I could go on, but all I really want you to know is that I’ve explored other viewpoints. Most of us gender critical people started off as supporters of gender ideology…many are even detransitioners. For most of us, our beliefs are not the result of not knowing anything different. Rather, they’re the result of us believing one thing, experiencing it first hand, and having our minds changed after having that experience.
