#round marble mid century modern coffee table
Text
Baroque elements from 18th century #interiordesign in subtle ways that challenge the initial appearance of a mid-century modern interior.
Tumblr media
Indeed, the small rounded #sofas, squiggly coffee table, the asymmetric sculptures and arched hallways give off the impression of a contemporary home that emanates softness and comfort.
Intertwined with these modern features we also observe the distinguishing elements of a more classical design. For example, placed directly above the sleek chandelier stands a Rococo style wall moulding with a matching pattern on the corners of each room.
The same design is visible in the white floor to ceiling console mirror, the contrasting black bureau placed strategically against the white walls, and the elegant presence of marble in countertops and in the kitchen backsplash.
Adding an extra twist to this mixture of styles, the #design also incorporates the organic and natural presence of wood through matching furniture, wall panels, and frames.
This way, wood creates a balance between past and present with its timeless quality.

Best Way to Elevate Your Space: A Guide to Selecting Armchairs, Sideboard Furniture, and Coffee Tables
Furnishing a space involves more than just functionality; it's about creating an ambiance that reflects your style and personality. Among the key pieces that anchor a room are armchairs, sideboard furniture, and coffee tables. These elements serve practical purposes while significantly contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of your living space. Whether you're revamping your existing décor or starting from scratch, here's a comprehensive guide to help you select the perfect armchairs, sideboard furniture, and coffee tables for your home.
Armchairs: Armchairs aren't merely seats; they're opportunities to infuse personality and style into your living space. Here's what to consider when selecting armchairs:
Comfort and Support: Prioritize comfort when choosing armchairs. Look for seats with ample cushioning and proper back support. Test out different styles to find one that feels comfortable for lounging or reading.
Style and Design: Armchairs come in various styles, from sleek and modern to classic and traditional. Consider the overall aesthetic of your room and choose armchairs that complement your existing décor. Mixing and matching different styles can create a curated look.
Size and Proportion: Take into account the size and proportion of your room when selecting armchairs. Oversized chairs can overwhelm a small space, while petite chairs may get lost in a larger room. Aim for balance by choosing armchairs that are proportional to the rest of your furniture.
Sideboard Furniture: Sideboards offer practical storage solutions and serve as stylish accent pieces that tie a room together. Here's how to choose the perfect sideboard for your space:
Storage Needs: Assess your storage needs before selecting a sideboard. Consider what items you'll be storing, whether it's dinnerware, linens, or other household essentials. Choose a sideboard with ample storage options, such as drawers, cabinets, or shelves, to keep your space organized.
Style and Finish: Sideboards come in various styles, from rustic farmhouse to mid-century modern. Select a style that complements the overall aesthetic of your room. Pay attention to the finish of the sideboard, whether it's natural wood, painted, or lacquered, to ensure it coordinates with your existing furniture.
Functionality: Think about how you'll use your sideboard on a daily basis. If you plan to use it as a serving station for entertaining, look for a sideboard with a spacious top surface. If you need extra workspace in your kitchen or dining area, consider a sideboard with a built-in countertop extension.
Coffee Tables: Coffee tables serve as more than just a place to set your cup of joe; they can be focal points of your living room. When choosing a coffee table, consider the following factors:
Size and Shape: The size and shape of your coffee table should complement the scale of your seating area. A general rule of thumb is to select a table that is about two-thirds the length of your sofa. Rectangular or oval tables work well in most spaces, while round tables can soften the lines of a room.
Material and Finish: Coffee tables come in a variety of materials and finishes, from wood to metal, glass to marble. Consider the existing elements in your room and choose a material that harmonizes with your décor. Match the finish of your coffee table to other furnishings in the room for a cohesive look.
Functionality: Think about how you plan to use your coffee table. If you frequently entertain guests, opt for a table with additional storage or a lower shelf for books and magazines. Some coffee tables even come with built-in features like lift tops or nesting stools, adding versatility to your space.

With the right combination of furniture, you can transform your space into a welcoming and stylish oasis that reflects your unique taste and personality.

Choosing the Perfect Coffee Table for Your Living Room
When it comes to decorating your living room, one piece of furniture that can make a big impact is the coffee table. A coffee table can serve many purposes, from providing a place to rest your drinks and snacks, to offering storage and display space. With so many styles, sizes, and materials to choose from, it can be overwhelming to decide on the perfect Marble Coffee Table for your living room. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of choosing a coffee table that fits your needs and complements your decor.
Tumblr media
Consider the Size and Shape of Your Living Room
The first step in choosing a coffee table is to consider the size and shape of your living room. If you have a small living room, you’ll want to choose a Real Marble Coffee Table that doesn’t take up too much space, but still provides enough surface area for your needs. A round or oval coffee table can be a good choice for a small room, as it allows for traffic to flow around it easily.
If you have a larger living room, you can opt for a larger coffee table, such as a rectangular or square one. This will give you more surface area for books, drinks, and other items you might want to keep on your table. If you have a sectional sofa, you can consider using multiple coffee tables to create a cohesive look.
Consider the Height of Your Seating
The height of your coffee table should be in proportion to the height of your seating. You don’t want a coffee table that’s too high or too low, as this can make it uncomfortable to use. As a general rule, your coffee table should be about the same height as your sofa or slightly lower.
If you have a low-slung sofa, such as a mid-century modern piece, you can choose a lower coffee table. If you have a higher sofa, such as a traditional or transitional style, you’ll want a higher coffee table. Remember to measure the height of your seating before you start shopping for a coffee table.
Consider the Style of Your Living Room
The style of your coffee table should complement the style of your living room. If you have a modern living room, you might want to choose a coffee table with clean lines and a minimalist design. If you have a traditional living room, you might prefer a coffee table with ornate details and a rich wood finish.
You can also mix and match styles to create a unique look. For example, a rustic coffee table can add warmth and texture to a modern living room. A glass or acrylic coffee table can add a contemporary touch to a traditional living room.
Consider the Material of Your Coffee Table
Coffee tables come in a variety of materials, each with its own pros and cons. Wood is a popular choice, as it’s durable and versatile. You can choose from a range of finishes, from natural to stained or painted. Metal is another option, which can add an industrial or modern touch to your living room. Glass and acrylic can create a light and airy feel, while also showcasing your rug or flooring.
You’ll want to consider the maintenance and durability of each material, as well as how it fits into your lifestyle. For example, a glass coffee table might not be the best choice if you have young children or pets who might knock it over.
Consider the Functionality of Your Coffee Table
A coffee table can serve many functions, beyond just holding your drinks and snacks. Some coffee tables come with built-in storage, such as drawers or shelves, which can be useful for hiding away remote controls or magazines. Some Solid Marble Table can also double as a seating option, such as an ottoman or pouf.
Think about how you’ll use your coffee table on a daily basis, and choose a design that fits your needs. If you like to entertain, you might want a coffee table with a large surface area for holding appetizers and drinks. If you use your living room for board games or puzzles, you might prefer a coffee table with a smooth surface that’s easy to clean.

Consider the Color of Your Coffee Table
The color of your coffee table can have a big impact on the overall look of your living room. If you have a neutral color palette, you can add a pop of color with a brightly colored coffee table. If you have a bold color scheme, you might want to choose a more subdued coffee table to balance out the room.
You can also consider the finish of your coffee table, such as matte or glossy, and how it interacts with the other finishes in your living room. For example, if you have a lot of metallic accents, you might want to choose a coffee table with a metallic finish.
Conclusion
Choosing the perfect coffee table for your living room is a fun and rewarding process, as it can completely transform the look and functionality of your space. By considering the size and shape of your room, the height of your seating, the style and material of your Stone Coffee Table Sydney, its functionality, and its color, you can find a coffee table that fits your needs and complements your decor. When shopping for a coffee table, don’t be afraid to take your time and try out different options. Reaching a perfect experience in a purchase is possible by making a selection of furniture, products, and luxury materials, with excellent assembly and carving made with industrial type tools, however, the handmade product does not stop being an ideal piece.
When choosing a store, you should take into account customer reviews in the different sales categories in order to achieve the product selection that most closely matches your wish list.
Select a modern or traditional model, taking into account that retro and vintage are in fashion, and are perfect for your home, office, or beach house, adapting to any current space.
An occasional change based on trends will give your living room a modern, vintage or current style that will make your home a unique and beautiful space at the height of your family gatherings, offering dinner or coffee, with your friends, children or clients either indoors or in the garden outdoors.
Get a round side table perfect for your style
New trends in design and decoration place the round side tables as a beautiful alternative to decorate and make your living room a place that denotes very luxurious features.
Choose the material of your preference when choosing a round table, these are the most used:
Granite
Marble
Wood
Metal
Aluminium
Glass
Occasionally they have gold and silver inlays to enhance the experience, while black, white, gray, pink and brown are perfect colors to show a natural and soft style.
These features will help give your home a more natural look with a renewed style. You must take into account and start integrating a color that brings a chic touch to your home and of course paying attention to the quality of the table assembly.
This is what you should consider before starting the process:
Make a wish list with a selection of materials and products that you want to complement in the decoration, look in a decoration magazine store to help you choose.
Choose the table that is within your price range and that fits your design or style, remember to review the different dimensions, size variety and classifications to make the purchase of the most original model.
Select the cleanest space to place it, which matches good lighting and dimensions of the place
Give your home, office, or store a modern look by coming up with some ideas that will quickly improve your space from a traditional to a renovated one. On the other hand, if you are one of those collectors who have oriented preferences in mid-century furniture, shelves or tables, you can select products that highlight great vanity and style.
The importance of lighting
The illumination of a ceiling light or a lamp on this table will give a perfect connection between this original accessory and the table materials, so you can have good lighting during conversations, parties with children and pets in your home.
Even in the office, you can implement some light decorations, which combined with a round side table will give a luxurious and cozy touch to your workspace.
The Most Popular Side Tables
The most requested designs are Round side table UK, Black side table UK Silver living room tables, and The contemporary side tables for living room UK for these there are classifications and categories that manage to provide an original design as part of a luxury collection.
They can have a geometric model either square or round with assembly of glass, wood, metal, marble, and other robust material, which are ideal for being in the center, or a corner to the left of your house.
Some stores with demanding customers have unlimited stock of quality products and solid materials that become the perfect decorative accessory for your living room, are in different price ranges offering more than a sale an experience that suits the preference of collectors and customers.
Get advice when buying the round side table that best suits your taste, price, and style so you can get the most out of your purchase.
The best way to give style to your living room, without a doubt, is with a round side table.

The Queen Anne (in Windenburg)
While you can place this house anywhere your heart desires, it was designed with Windenburg in mind. A Queen Anne style victorian may seem a little out of place but I'm sure this house has an interesting backstory ;)
I know I always say this but I absolutely love this house and it's in my top 5 favourite builds ever. It features a beautiful semi-open main floor plan with three bedrooms upstairs. The layout and landscaping is designed to optimize canal views and let me tell you, does this house shine at Christmas!
Tumblr media
You'll see that I've decorated it (interior) for the holiday season. I think all the Christmas decorations that I've seen while shopping inspired me to get a jump-start on the holidays. This lot is available to Patreon Supporters.

What’s in a Name? Table Talk with Kathy Slater
Tumblr media
Every artist has a muse. For Rodin, it was Camille Claudel and for Warhol, Edie Sedgwick. For Kathy Slater, it’s New Orleans.
Now, please don’t get her wrong. She doesn’t hold herself among the ranks of these great masters. But she, too, is an artist but with a different medium. Her canvas is an empty room that calls her to create a unique composition of color, texture and emotion that evokes beauty —whether classic or contemporary.
Kathy Slater finds herself in continued awe of enduring beauty. It’s what has inspired her work as an interior designer and, most recently, as a furniture designer. Like New Orleans, her bespoke furniture collection is a unique assemblage of materials, finishes and styles whose glory stems from the richness of diversity.
I have always been intrigued as to how an artist names their work, so without further adieu, I give to you the story behind the Kathy Slater Table Collection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Josephine
Although inspired by the mid-twentieth century designs of Jansen, the Josephine brass block element recalls the boldness of the Napoleonic era and is therefore named for the emperor’s fiery wife.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Audubon
With its cast leg featuring an acanthus leaf detail and stem-like tapered fluting, the Audubon captures the essence of the centuries-old oaks, grand magnolias and year-round foliage found within Audubon Park.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The St. Ann
The inspiration for this design comes from the reed and ribbon motif seen in 18th and 19th century furnishings. The graceful brass wrapping around the reed-like legs evokes the sensibility of the French Quarter and, more specifically, the Pontalba Apts. that run along St. Ann Street and Jackson Square.
Tumblr media
The St. Charles
Like the towering Victorian mansions along “The Avenue,” the St. Charles has a dominant presence that can hold its own in a room. Its strong yet graceful stature makes it worthy of being named for the city’s most stunning architectural enclave, not to mention a designer favorite.
Tumblr media
The Upperline
The Upperline is a study in stylish contrasts and also this year’s best-seller. Its streamlined profile offers a more modern edge while its classic finish makes it the perfect match for traditional surroundings.
Tumblr media
The Lowerline
The Lowerline features the same sophisticated design as the Upperline, but offers a lower shelf for storage.
Tumblr media
The Pontchartrain
Miles away from the Greek Revivals of the Garden District and the Victorian grand dames of Uptown stand the mid-century ranchers and glamorous glass houses abounding Lake Pontchartrain. As such, the Pontchartrain breaks from old line New Orleans for a look that is fresh and stately— especially when topped with 3/4” clear glass.
Tumblr media
The Prytania
As a wide, winding thoroughfare connecting Uptown and Downtown, Prytania offers a little bit of everything so it should come as no surprise that table packs a lot of punch into a room. With its gleaming brass medallions and X-stretcher, it turns a lot of heads—particularly in the hand-painted French blue finish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Frenchman
For our first foray into seating, we looked to jazz lounges and eclectic music clubs on Frenchmen Street for inspiration. The Frenchman barstool is classically proportioned and comfortable with a flat wrapped X and bordered back.
Kathy’s Slater’s furniture can be seen at showrooms in Atlanta, Houston, Dallas and also in a showroom here in New Orleans. Most of the designs are available in custom sizing (consoles, coffee tables and side tables) with a variety of iron finishes and table top choices ranging from limestone, marble, mirror, cypress or glass.
