What are your thoughts on Sasaki and the way she tried to approach Ojima back in CH1, especially since she's also a victim of SA/grooming?

Heavy one here but one I certainlly have some thoughts on

I feel like Sasaki also being a victim of SA is something that kinda gets looked aside for her. I think she already kinda respected Ojima, and so learning he had suffered from a similar situation to her kinda made her want to connect with him more. I think from her perspective, he was someone who closed himself off too much and hid from it. She also didn't wanna talk about it, but like, not even the most healed people would want to when there are 15 other people in the room and it was forced out of you.

I think she also didn't really "pity" Ojima. I think she really viewed him as an equal, but also as someone who may need help. She seems to have sought help, therapy, counseling, something of the sort. Maybe she even just found a group of peers to confide in, but either way, she got help. And yea, she won't be 100% perfectly healed from that experience, but as that one quote goes "Scars don't heal, but they'll fade" (Can't believe that incredible line is from fucking Kung Fu Panda btw)

If anything, I think she may have been insulted from Ojima thinking she was pitying her. She also seems to have problems with people looking down on her. To her, Yanagi probably saw her as a frail little princess who he needed to court and sweep away. Her teacher probably wanted to have that position above her.

SO I certainlly think she just wanted to help him. She'd suffered something similar, and she healed, and she wanted that for him too. She wanted him to be better too, and so she just wanted to reach out. I don't know if she would call him a friend at that point, but he was someone she, yknow, gave a shit about.

But yea, I really liked Sasaki and Ojima's dynamic! I really wish Sasaki could have had more time, and maybe she could have helped him, maybe he could just reject her attempts at helping, who knows. Thanks for the ask!

oh i love this. wada gives me huge disabled vibes in general. we already know he has pica but i also think hes probably albino and id imagine that growing up so perpetually indoors and malnourished would leave him with a pretty weak body overall. he seems like someone that would just be sick a lot of the time in general. ehlers danlos just feels like it fits so well for some reason
