#FBF to my drunkass breaking poor @djtonytouch ‘s bawlz to play reggaeton at @revivalbartoronto in #Toronto in November 2011, thanks largely to Theo3. I just wanted to post this as a huge thank you to Toca for his #freestyle / #ginobeats set tonight. I’m trying not to absolutely freak da fuq out these spooky days and DJs like Tony Toca, @questlove, @lordfinesseditc, @statikselekt, @dnice, and my roommate @djshortcut are inspiring me with their IG live sets to put the Netflix down and get to work designing clothes and filling in the gaps in my education while I have the chance. These IG live sets remind me of being a teenager sitting by the radio and making pause tapes, discovering new songs, admiring ill mixes, blends, rarities & remixes, and doing my thing writing or drawing with music in the bg. I love trusting a good DJ to find great music and tell stories while they spin. Toca talked about being a kid in the 80s in #NYC on the club scene, showing us rare remixes and b-sides, old autographs, embarrassing pics, and reminding us of those old crazy fashion styles like biker shorts in ‘87. Remember when cycling clothes was fashion, @icet? Remember those days, #Scarborough #RosewoodMassive? Anyway, DJs, getcha IG live streams kicking and I *WILL* be there. PS: For those of you curious, I had to slap a couple hoes on my birthday in 2011 and I didn’t punch the dude properly so I did my thumb in.
