This part of the post is only about the characters, nothing more & nothing less, this is about c!Roseblings(c!illagerblings??)

So this part of the post only really applies if youve watched Gem or Fwhip s1 empires/afterlife because it will focus on their characters as twins and Pillager!Fwhip & Villager!Gem.

So first and foremost I want to start off with the fact of how vastly different Gem and Fwhip approached Villagers/Pillagers in season one.(this will be in red & purple for the respective colour combinations of Fwhip & Gem in the season) So, first of all, season one Gem didnt seem really interested in having any kind of Villagers at the Crystal Cliffs, however didnt reject the idea of Pillagers being students at the academy. She seemed to not care much about any of villagers at the crystal cliff and that could be due to the fact that Villagers dont use magic in canon minecraft lore or Gem's empires lore for season one. Pillagers, however, do have magic users, such as Evokers, Vindicators, and whatever else is there falling under the Illagers; Fwhip, on the contrary, spent almost all of his time with villagers and avoiding raids/villagers all he can with having to deal with a Demon and Sausage. He didnt try to be around Pillagers and was a bit (seemingly) concerned about how his sister was teaching Pillagers how to use magic with the academy. He seemed confused and worried about what she was doing but overall seemed unbothered with the overall idea about her teaching them as long as she was safe. He just didnt seem to care much about any of the Illagers types while also surrounding himself with villagers and making sure they were safe.

Now, moving onto their afterlife(first lives, Blue - Fwhip, Green - Gem)

Very different to their empires selves, Gem was surrounded by Villagers and Iron Golems. It got to the point she had to warn others that her golems will kill them. She tried to warm Fwhip and he didnt listen, she tried to warn so many people to the point of wanting to isolate people in fear for them and not herself. She wanted to protect herself and then changed gears into wanting to protect others from her. She worries about their safety rather than her own for a very long time(until Scott kills her..)

Fwhip doesnt seem to care about what others do in their lives, he focuses on being a good(no, great) Illusioner yet also doesnt try to embrace his origin until after Gem kicks him out of her villager(not realizing its for his safety and not her own). Only then does he care about embracing what he is, an illusioner. He starts jumping on crops, and genuinely not being the calm guy he previously was when he hadnt been to Gem's village. He begins not caring about villagers and even more, destroying their crops, and he potentially could have been a villain with Scott & Lauren(and at one point, with Shelby & Sausage).

It could count as rejection from his sister, someone he thought would accept him with open arms, even if he has been accepted by everyone else. He wanted to be accepted by her, like how he accepted her pillagers. He seems upset by how Gem has Iron Golems, and how he almost has nothing until he starts building up his pillager friends. He only starts fully pillaging places when Gem kicks him out of her villager because hes an illusioner(she doesnt even call him this). Hes been rejected by his twin sister, the family hes known forever.

(Yellow Text is about the siblings in s1, afterlife first lives & potentially my take of the characters as 'in character')

If you look at s1 and afterlife, one of them is always doing magic and the other isnt. Theres so many hcs that Fwhip ran away from his home village(Gems Village) in afterlife, and that Gem left for Crystal Cliffs Academy in s1. Gem leaves home to study magic and Fwhip accepts her; Fwhip leaves home to study magic and Gem rejects him.

Its not the same unconditional love he gave her, its the exact different. Its not fair, is it? Why isnt he loved like she was? He only becomes 'evil' when a golem hits him and Gem tells him to leave. He goes back to get that same golem and then hes immediately killed by one! In Gems village, nonetheless.

When we look at Gems pov, we see her being distraught that Fwhip is a pillager Illusioner, and that shes genuinely upset by it but not in a 'youre not my brother!' way, rather a 'You betrayed me, immediately after leaving me behind.' way. Shes a villager, would you be happy if your twin brother ran away from home and decided to become the one thing that is known to be the sworn enemy of Villagers? Lets also not forget when Fwhip(and later, Shulk) died in her village her panic was because people were getting hurt and dying due to her golems. She started to place warning signs everywhere she can because she doesnt want them to get hurt, to die. Then she gets kidnapped! TWICE! IN TWO EPISODES? In one episode, Oli kidnaps her and immediately after, Scott kills her. Fwhip becomes a little inchling when he dies, vastly different from being an -illager like Gem(also, both of them become something else than an -illager). He moved from the outpost he made, and Gem stayed in the village.

Gem wasnt ready to move on from the village, Fwhip was prepared to move on from it a long time ago. c!roseblings are twins, but theyre so different in how they surround them self in both s1 & their episode 1(1-3 for Fwhip)

I think this is the longest Ive talked about them in one go so far but it will happen again & probably be more talks about them. Roseblings supremacy.

Everything depicted in this post is the characters, not the ccs<3(Idk why but I feel like that needs to be clarified..)

hear me out. hear me out. She gets back to hermitcraft and the first thing she does is go to Gem while shaking and worried about what Etho/Impulse/Ren/BDubs/Cleo/All the hermits in the life series think about her and shes crying snd Gem gives her the hugs she needed

And Gem also calls everyone, and I mean everyone on the server, to come to her base to give Pearl validation and hugs that she so desperately needs. And the first person to arrive is Cleo, who immediately barges into Gem's base and calls out for the two(n Pearl just hides under the blankets of Gem's bed because shes terrified of Cleo yelling at her!) and Gem calls Cleo up

and as soon as Cleo sees the trembling ball under Gem's blankets her first reaction is to go Mom Mode™️ and she walks over, pulls the blanket down enough to see Pearl & they smile, she doesnt yell or get mad or blame Pearl for anything. And they hug her, and tells her how proud she is of her for the preformance in double life.

Pearl is so so confused about why Cleo is being so nice, she ruined the season for Cleo!(and everyone else) but Cleo, everyone, is so proud of her for winning the season and dont think she ruined everything and they all think she did amazing throughout the season and was dealt a horrible hand yet still made the most of it and won!

And then Grian shows up(Skyblings <3 & my hc of Grian & Pearl being Gem's half siblings), and wow. Gem forgets sometimes how it feels to have the two of them as siblings(especially since she isnt close to Gri like she is Pearl, it slips her mind yk?) but Gri not only starts telling Pearl how proud he is of her for winning the season but also immediately begins telling Gem how cool her base is! Hes also totally not jealous of Gem's base having a complete back... what... and now Gem's comfused! She didn't expect to be immediately praised by her big brother(though.. well shes not complaining!) but it feels nice to know that he thinks her base is so cool.

I know this is a big shipping thing and stuff but uhh i saw on the bigger results there was one of gem/fwhip and i know its like ship who you wants but those two are canonically siblings in empires season1, and yeah not in other smps but its still heavily headcanoned and liked as rosetwins throughout a lot of the community due to esmp1 of those two canonically being biological twins

i would not like the participate in this if gem/fwhip is influenced or brought up /nm /gen /lh!

I have a headcanon that both of rosetwins are trans! And their names are preferred names!

Gem wanted her new name to be gem! (While Her middle name is ini and the family last name is tay )

Fwhip on the other hand he wanted his new name to be Fail (as one young teen transmale kid does.) ((whip is his middle name and tay is, as i said, the family last name!))

Making gems full name Gem Ini Tay and fwhips full name Fail Whip Tay

Fwhip got to attached to the silly name so he keeps it but he is embarrassed by it as an adult now so he goes by Fwhip and gem decided to copy him for fun with mixing her first and middle name making Gemini

every once and a while i see empires (particularly s1) fics where Fwhip’s full name is “Fail Whip” (aka what his username actually stands for). i entirely understand why people do this HOWEVER. the implication that fwhip and gem’s parents named their children “gemini” and “FAIL”?????? funniest thing ever especially because no one ever questions it.

PART TWO

Don't know why it never crossed my mind that @doctor-shopping would be getting her booze from @gatekeeper-of-witchcraft. She's playing a dangerous game based on the things I've been told about that lady. Heard she did some serious damage down at @ovaruling 's place one night while drunk on her own stuff. Cleared enough cacti down that the sheriff had to get involved, but I do know that she cut her some slack for incidentally giving back what @mogumon had been dealing out for a while. Not much slack, but a little.

Never mind that sheriff @rosetwine still hasn't recovered my missing merchandise and @r4diofem is still idling around with her crew, I SUPPOSE she's the only kind of purely lawful good we've got out here. Harmonica playing is pretty good too. If you need her, she's out next to the jail. Try not to get blinded when the sun hits that badge of hers. Next to her, you had the naïve but earnest @butch--mechanism, her second deputy who has a heart for the little folks. Her face is a special kind of red when the ladies flirt with her while she’s on duty during community events, but she keeps on the job, I’ll give her that. She’s a far cry from her peer deputy, @coralillough. Less prone to baseless hope and dead set on the kind of karma that only came when you did it yourself. There’s some founded suggestions that she’s part of what keeps @r4diofem idling around these parts, but no one feels so inclined to ask either woman about the merit of these rumors.

Sorry, you’re probably wondering about what happened right after the duel, right?

@femmesandhoney made a lot of mistakes the day she went down in that duel. The first had been, obviously, getting into a duel she had no business getting in. But the second was staggering her behind to the wrong doctor's office. Who she wanted, if she had any sense, was @conmigonoeh. We had our share of doctors, but her office is your best chance at a good blend of bedside manner and getting up off the bed at some point without the undertaker’s help. @shesded had her talents and smarts but was known colloquially to be “surely surly” at your arrival and throughout your care.

I asked to buy off some old opium bottles from her and she’d pretty much stared at me until I had the sense to back out of the place and shuffle back to my place. Found three bottles left in front of my place after work though, so who does she think she’s foolin’ acting so grumpy?

But in her daze (I should hope), @femmesandhoney had stumbled into the office of the less than reputable @sapphic-schizo. You know, the one who had a business "understanding" with @microplasticbarbie in regards to her shelf of (not so dependable) cocaine and opium. Or was that the deal she had with @r4diofem? Hard to say. Confident as she was dealing with these folks, it seemed like she was squeamish about the wrong things. What I did know was that if you had to take your ails her way, try to come around the time when @sailor-terf was on the clock. She could actually look at your wounds without airin' the paunch into it.

We found out later the winning dueler worked for some out of towner. Like, way out of town. Not even this side of the sea kind of gal. The dueler had been setting her revenge on behalf of the late @go-girl-go who’d been flouncing around town in her pearl white gloves and fancy little parasol. The way she went down at @femmesandhoney ‘s accidental trigger squeeze had been was something akin to the flapping feathers of some over-pretty bird giving its last show of its feathers. The only people who hadn’t been deadpanned in the face had been her already anxious driver who’d, after some time of asking, received the help needed to remove her from the dirt she’d gone and fallen in. I have no way of knowing, but I’m fairly certain knowing that she had been shot on behalf of that women wasn’t doing any favors for @femmesandhoney’s already harmed ego.

Whenever I'm able to catch up with @marrowdaughter with our collection of bought gossip, you're sure to hear about some girl swooning over @vagabondclit. The de facto "homestead hero" when sheriff @rosetwine was out on a romantic lil horse ride or needed an extra pair of hands dealing with trouble. Intimidating as she could be, she made the hell out of a bowl, I'll tell you that much. @olgoykorkoysevici picks up a lot of work with her but far as I know, wasn't as interested in making bowls and spoons, so keeps to the footwork. Tried buying off some of her stuff for my own shop but said she had no interest charging for them. At least not at my prices.

But lately, there'd been some new blood swaggering in and out of town: @xxlezzy was making her mark down at the saloon, that was for sure. Made a big show of kicking off that annoying ass rattlesnake @p0taetae when she'd tried hissing at one of the barmaids. Had her eyes so hard on @the-rad-menace passing by she leaned into @kiranerysily and sent her hollering since she was still nursing her neck after a (barely) successful rodeo a few towns over. Didn’t end up staying to check on the poor woman but @kiranerysily did get a rather slurred lesson in how to not die the next time she got bucked off a horse by @vintageradfem.

Over by the jail, @jackalopiel was teaching @terfectly the perfect times to bray in this odd town. That's it. It's just really cute to watch and we all think it's cute. Not everything’s got a long lore to it, you know. <3

Dear sister of mine,

I recall mentioning a time when I had said I might idle through the decent street of Radblr County for a short time and return home as promptly as travels by the horse would allow. Hearing tells of the place had appealed me to, at the very least, concede to a nose around.

But much as I am inclined to return to what I know, I am writing this with a frank heart and a sincere intention; I am to be staying in Radblr County.

Before you send the others to haul me back, I’d ask that you at least hear me out and understand my days and life here. The good, the bad, and the rad.

I can’t speak on the finer details of the morning. Half tripped over @doctor-shopping on my way in to the shop the other morning. She's not even allowed at the saloon since she kept starting stuff so I don't know where the hell she's getting the booze to be that leaned over.

At any rate, my morning consists of setting up the shop [oh yeah, I run a shop now] with second hand bought trinkets and books that were worn before I’d even had a chance to handle them. Most of which come in from the hands of passing cowboys and idling strangers who want a little extra coin to spend down at the saloon, run by sobersided @valeriesolanaswasright. Try and flirt your way out of a tab all you want, she's heard it all and getting riled up about it isn't gonna do a thing except get you kicked out. She's already had to cover the shift for a weird ass barmaid by the name of @coldleg that up and left outta nowhere, so it’s best not to push your luck with her.

Though, I will say she is generous with the libations when it comes to the ladies and seems to call on @daughter-of-aletheia more times then I know her to truly be needed. Might be just might imagination. Though, I've never had much wonder.

The saloon is truly the heart of the town, swilling with liquor, music, and dance. The rules are far and few. You paid your tab on time, you didn't cause trouble, keep your eyes off @sigmafemale-grindset 's chest, and pay your tab on time (yes, that goes double). If you had a problem with that, there was always the more than apt alternative of @nansheonearth 's juke joint. It was just as lively and a common place for the arch inclined @ltoxton when she wasn't breaking hearts by disappearing for another few weeks.

I had thought for a time she was a bounty hunter; a seeker in the sand like @halfelfproblems or @leechesandcream or perhaps a night stalker like The Crossdresser (@romanofficialt if you're kindly). But by the modest coin she brought with her, I thought otherwise in no time.

I share a common exchange of goods for secrets with @marrowdaughter. More often than not, I'm able to gather things I've missed from her given the greater need for her services. But neither of us had needed any sort of secondhand word the day of the duel.

@radicalblunt was shining especially bright that day; blazing if you will. Much fun as duels are to see, it's the mess left behind that's always the bother. You could hear @jackalopiel bray the moment @femmesandhoney hit the ground, hissing and hollering in pain. You could hear a few audible groans at the sight of @vivianfanaccount bounding out of her church, waving the word and her bible to the already seething body of @femmesandhoney. She vowed to save @femmesandhoney 's soul. A useless vow, I'm sure to the woman trying to just breathe.

It was uh… pretty funny. Had a bit of hard time looking her in the eyes afterwards for a week or so but things always get back to normal eventually.

Assemble with Care AU where Shelby is new in town and Katherine is a struggling café owner who's older brother(Scar) comes to town just a few days before the festival and Shelby spends most of the time helping the pretty lady AND the mayor(Scott) all the time

Shelby ends up finding a way to bring the siblings back together as well as the Mayor & his cousins(Rosetwins)

then she goes on a date with Katherine while Scar runs the café; Kat gets a call from Scar while on the date and hes panicking because the MAYOR IS HERE KAT WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO.

Unfortunately Shelby has to leave in a few days because she isnt staying in town long and Kat and Scar are trying to run the café and Shelby has one last thing to do: fix a record player.

Scar's last thing to Shelby before she left bc her last day is literally the next day, he tells her that hes gonna stay with his sister to make up lost time due to being away from Kat for so long

Scott requests one thing on the day OF her leaving; to repair a music box he wants to give to the much younger twins because he had fun at the festival with them.

Xor kept a loose hold over them for a while because he understood Fwhip's motives; They "dont care" about Scott, but would make the same deal in a heartbeat has roles been reversed.

-She shows up in tumble town a few hours later, and begs for his forgiveness

"You dont need to beg, Gem."

"I hurt you!"

"I dont care. Youre my best friend. Come here,"

-They hug and Jimmy just holds her for a good while bc she clearly is under a lot of a stress

-The crossover happens and He's there to help get her through it

-The fight for the Crown isnt something he takes serious, more so uses it as an excuse to see his best friend again bc he hasnt seen her in WEEKS.

-He's her biggest comfort especially after Fwhip dies.

-Hes there the entire time, her best friend & partner, and helps her like she did for him when Liz died.

-She learns about Storm/Fwhip being the same person and breaks down to Jimmy. He doesnt ask.

-Yes he calls her "girlie" he also calls her "gemstone" (she calls him "cowboy" & "Canary")

-Hugs from behind bc theyre best friends and love each other and istfg is someone says you cant wrap your arms around your best friends waist then SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE I DO IT BC I LOVE MY FRIENDS AND THEY LOVE ME AND WERE BOTH COMFORTABLE WHEN IT HAPPENS.

-ahem.

-Gem finds comfort leaning into him & practically forces him to hug her from behind

-Jimmy doesnt mind<3

-This seems romantic but its all platonic dont take it any other way
