Wyrd Street is a new d20 system and setting written by Tyler Edwards, that I’m doing character art for! It’s similar enough to 5E to learn fast if you’re familiar with it, but unique enough to feel fresh! Here’s some highlights:

An original fantasy setting—though the old magic races are gone, what remains are humans descended from them, with lingering features hinting at their magical ancestry. Magic itself is alive and well—spirits and magic critters are regular features, even within cities.

Flexible racial abilities—choose one from between three available for each race once you reach level 3. Some even have physical manifestations, like plantlike features, a cat tail and claws, or wings that can be summoned briefly to fly with!

“Iconic Characters” with moderately established backstories and connections—which you can choose to either play, or leave in the world as NPCs! (These are who I’m drawing, with the three I’ve already done featured at the top of this post!)

Iconic Characters’ details are flexible—you’re encouraged to switch from their default class, if you like their look or background but prefer another class. YOU DO YOU

Additional rules for physical and mental disability—which can be applied to any character, Iconic or original, with framework for how it affects them and how they interact with the world.

“Loved Ones” are a mechanic—get boons and boosts for establishing RP connections, or be a Lone Wolf to custom-pick your skill boosts. (Or be a Lone Wolf and SEE WHAT FOUND FAMILY YOU GET)

Level cap of 10—small-scale heroes! Let other people handle world-ending shenanigans, you’ve got your community to take care of. (But you still get cool abilities, because MAGIC AND SHIT)

“Focus” as the ability resource—everyone has it, but with different amounts and regen methods. It’s what you use for either magic or fancy martial abilities, so everyone has both basic AND fancy attacks.

“Missed” attacks glance instead of doing no damage, so turns feel less wasted. Chipping away at an enemy is better than metaphorical (or literal) thumb-twiddling.

this blog? this blog couldn’t be an rose marion tyler rp blog only. like i bow to basically every rose tyler blog out (rp or appreciation or [other type of blog here]) there. y’all i love yall. i love you to bits to the size of atoms in every breath life on earth take.

but like every time i rewatch, i end up dragging ten’s response to rose’s question in journey’s end and also, i will like to redirect to rose in partners in crime.

why?

because in partners and crime, at the end where rose pops up, she gives this look:

i mean, all celebratory aside, this look spoke a fuck ton of volumes and was the entire reason partners in crime is one of those episodes that was the arc for season 4.

this isn’t the look of someone that had landed in the right universe compared to what we see in the stolen earth/journey’s end.

this is someone that is close to just giving up completely. she’s broken at this point. that little fed up lean on her hip that makes that slight bounce, that’s someone who had been doing this dimension cannon hopping for way longer than she shows to us/doc/jack later. at this point she’s almost trying for a pout for a feeling like one who is defeated once again just want to just lick their wounds.

she gives that blink and in a flicker, she gives a cold, dead stare in space. that same look that (WILDLY ENOUGH) mirrors identically to the tenth doctor’s in the family of blood when staring down the ‘mother of mine’ and ‘father of mine’ but different. more enrage that she landed in yet another wrong universe.

and then another blink looks away, and that’s when she catches herself slightly slip up. she give a small swallow of any tears about it. we have to go again. at this point, it seem as if she snapped out of this somewhat obsessive state of just getting there. not about getting caught or being seen. she’s just about unrecognizable?

and when you look at journey’s end rose, she looks way younger like she was just what? a couple or so years in to know to land in donna’s turn left universe multiple times to know what’s going to happen there.

like it’s called a DIMENSION CANNON for a reason. which rose is this???? what tiMELINE IS SHE?

and as far we know, this just could be an echo of a pete’s world!rose because she’s technically going back in the doctor’s timestream

In celebration of November being Native American Heritage Month, here’s a masterlist below compiled of over 90+ Comanche faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. The Comanche are a Native American and Native Mexican tribe who historically have lived in a region they call “Comancheria”, which encompasses the US states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas and the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The majority of Comanche now live in Oklahoma or Texas. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever faceclaim or whichever project you desire.

this is a selective, private, paragraph-based blog for rose tyler of bbc's doctor who. i will not follow back everyone that follows me, mostly to keep my dash clean, and those i see possible interactions between our characters. i will not follow blogs that do not have a rules page, and i prefer you at least have a little about your muse. personals will be blocked, unless they are a main for an rp sideblog.

The next character I’m featuring is Lo! He was the last character I finished drawing for the IndieGoGo launch, but we’re starting with him because connections!

He is Ji’s brother, and is quite protective of her and the rest of his family.

The “dashing rogue” type—he always acts confident, arguably even cocky.

The Drifter class is like an urban ranger, and can have raccoon, cat, and/or dog combat pets! Up to three (or none, if you prefer), based on what abilities you choose as you level up.

You can also get a mouse, rat, pigeon, or seagull non-combat pet!

At level 5, you can pick an ability that lets you cuddle or play with your pet to regain Focus (the energy all classes spend to do abilities) during a short rest. I love the RP-encouraging mechanics this game has!

The Choctaw is the 3rd largest federally recognized Native American tribe, hailing from the Southeastern US states of Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana; though the majority now reside in Oklahoma. There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 70+ Choctaw faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. For a few weeks, I’m doing IndieGoGo promo for the new TTRPG I’m doing character art for, Wyrd Street! I’ll post about the Iconic Characters, sharing details about them or their class I find interesting! I’ll also link to posts that Tyler’s done, so you can dig into deeper details!

Some features:

A d20 system—similar enough to 5E to learn fast, but unique enough to feel fresh.

Level cap of 10—you’re a smaller-scale hero, but still with cool max-level abilities.

Loved Ones are a mechanic—get boons and boosts for establishing RP connections, or be a Lone Wolf to custom-pick your skill boosts.

“Missed” attacks glance instead of doing no damage, so turns feel less “wasted.”

Flexible racial abilities—choose between three available for each race at level 3, some with physical manifestations, like plantlike features or wings that can be summoned briefly.

Iconic Characters’ details flexible—you don’t have to use their default class, if you like their background but prefer another class.

Optional rules for physical/mental disability—applicable to any character, with framework for how it affects them and how they interact with the world.
