So! I’m currently sick in bed. Which means it’s calzone o’clock

Our lucky contestant today is Rosati’s.

This was what I asked for:

This is the first day on my journey to find the perfect calzone.

My perfect calzone has

-an equal amount of ricotta and mozzarella

-good crust (not so thick that I’m eating a loaf of bread but not so thin it falls apart. Gotta has a good solid flavor and a little crisp)

-a large cup of good marinara, free on the side

-this last bit is important. I want a three inch layer of fresh garlic cloves throughout the entire calzone. Ideally the cloves are minced but I’m not picky. I want this calzone to make a vampire sweat 5 miles away. I want so much garlic I smell for a week. This is a medicinal necessity. Garlic cures a head cold like nothing else in the world. And the best way to consume a lethal amount of garlic is inside a bread pocket of cheese smothered in red sauce.

The last bit is the trickiest. People do not take me seriously when I tell them I want 5 full heads of garlic minimum in there. They think I’m exaggerating. I’m not.
