Ideas for future Spidey movies

Just saw Madame Web and now I'm thinking Spider-Man so... here we go!

Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man

Takes place after he returns to his universe. Otto is still dead, because he sacrifices himself to stop the machine. Sandman is no longer sand however, so there's that. Norman goes into a coma because he has a better reaction time to the glider, Harry still dies because he blames Spider-Man.

He comes back, MJ is pregnant with Maybelle and this kid named Miles Morales was bitten by a spider while he was away. So he starts mentoring Miles while MJ's ex-fiance, John Jameson returns back from space, again.

This Man-Wolf starts terrorizing the city, J. Jonah Jameson proclaims it's Spider-Man's long lost brother as new employee Ned Leeds flirts with Betty Brant.

Shocker will be in there as well, but more as a minor villain.

Near the end of the movie, after it's revealed Man-Wolf is John Jameson, Peter and Miles defeats him and Jameson blames them for what happened to his son.

Maybelle is born at the end of the movie.

Two end credit scenes. First one has it revealed Oscorp is being currently ran by Liz Allan, who is the mother of Harry Osborn's son, Normie, as she waits for him to be old enough to take over the business. Second one has Norman is a hospital bed looking into the sightings of Carnage.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man

Gwen's still dead and Max is in therapy because he tried to help Peter save her but failed.

Now, I'm hoping Sony confirms Morbius, Venom, and TASM take place in the same universe. Because with that, Eddie and Venom will know who Spider-Man is now, and they can go after him.

So, setting the scene, Peter works for the Daily Bulge selling photos of Spider-Man, recently he's been having troubles with Black Cat and now this big-shot from San Francisco comes in and is out for his job.

Also, we still don't get MJ. Peter's endgame after Gwen is gonna be Felicia Hardy. Also, depending if Andrew could convince Sony, Peter is bisexual. And there's be an newspaper shown with the headline; "Spider-Man caught flirting with the Human Torch?!"

Anyway, Black Cat realizing Venom's intention with Spider-Man, seeks help from Harry Osborn, breaking him out of prison. Harry ultimately does help Spider-Man through and through so he won't have to go back to prison and afterwards Eddie and Venom go into hiding.

End of the movie it's shown with Harry, along side Vulture and Morbius and (depending how the movie goes) Kraven the Hunter approaching Eddie and Venom about a Sinister Six. Eddie will make a remark about how there's technically five because he and Venom are one, and Venom will be doing the fighting. Then it's revealed the Sixth member is Mister Negative.

Now, I would want the end credit scene to be of the Jackal and the spider-clones, but I feel as if unless Sony plans to expand this universe, they'd save that for the MCU. So the end credit scene will reveal the Doctor Octopus, a former employee of Oscorp, plotting for the Superior Spider-Man arc.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man

Now, this is gonna be a long one since we're confirmed for another trilogy.

I'm gonna be honest, I haven't seen Morbius, I'm only using the knowledge I've seen online for this, but if Vulture has been transported to another universe because of the spell, I wholeheartedly believe the same thing would've happened to other characters.

For example, the Osborn's and Oscorp. The spell has made it as if Oscorp and the Osborn family has always existed within the MCU.

So, Peter is in college now, attending State Empire University, his roommate is Harry Osborn and his partner is some classes is Gwen Stacy. Peter does befriend them, but he is hesitant because of the whole No Way Home deal. He remember's how Peter-3 mentioned his Gwen died and all that stuff. But he decides to not judge what happens to his variants because every universe is different, right?

Well, he gets an internship at Oscorp, directly under Norman Osborn himself. And like in every other universe before Norman realizes Peter is Spider-Man, Norman adores Peter. He says all the crap of "oh, I wish you were my son." I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin Feige had the comment "if you're gay, marry my son" thrown in there.

Anyway, I do believe they'll try for a more Web-Warriors kinda deal in the MCU. But I don't think the first other Spider will be Miles Morales.

Alongside getting the internship at Oscorp, Peter gets a freelance job for the Daily Bulge, selling photos of you-know-who to J. Jonah Jameson, who is fawning over his son going to the moon which Peter pretends to be impressed. Betty Brant is working there as well which makes Peter nervous.

Now, here me out, Jameson's niece, Mattie Franklin becomes Spider-Woman. And I'm not suggesting that as a way as we need a female Spider-Man in the MCU, I'm suggesting it in a way as how fucking hysterical that will be.

Miss. Gurl overheard her daddy talking to Norman Osborn, knocked her daddy out, take his place during a ritual and gained superpowers.

And I still haven't mentioned who the villain will be. Now, I would say Kingpin, but I haven't seen Echo yet so I don't know his outcome and I don't know if Kingpin will be a villain in Daredevil: Reborn Again. So, Tombstone. He's rising to power, taking Kingpin's place as a criminal overlord or whatever. And like how it's done in Spectacular Spider-Man, he offers Spidey a job working for him, fighting who he says to fight and ignoring what he says to ignore.

Well, Peter, who is training like, fifteen year old Mattie, says no. Not liking this, Tombstone hires Chameleon to ruin Spidey's name even more, mind you, he's still being framed for Mysterio.

Chameleon does some awful shit, pretending to be Spider-Man, and Norman Osborn doesn't like this, and Peter being on high alert, afraid Norman will turn into the Green Goblin, doesn't realize Norman was actually turning his own son, Harry into the Green Goblin.

But it's more or less hinted throughout the movie, we don't see Harry as the Green Goblin until the second movie. The movie ends with Peter and Mattie taking down Tombstone and Chameleon, but only Chameleon gets arrested because Tombstone has bribed the NYPD.

The end credit scene will reveal Ned and MJ remember everything that they went through with Peter, but he was masked the entire time. So MJ thinks she's dating Spider-Man while Ned believes he's Spider-Man best friend, which were once true but Peter, not wanting to ruin their lives, has moved on is now best friends with Harry and is crushing on Gwen.

The second movie starts with Nick Fury talking to a girl slightly younger than Peter. At the end of the conversation, the girl states she has been having dreams about a boy (Peter) and believes him to be her older brother due to the dreams including Aunt May. Before revealing herself to be Teresa Parker.

Now, I should mention, Mattie's not really in the movie as John Jameson will be making his way back to Earth during this time. It will be mentioned in Easter Eggs across the film. And family is busy preparing for his return.

Peter's dating Gwen now and Harry's going out with a model- who is Liz Allan. Peter is friends with Robbie Robertson's son, Randy who is dating Sally Avril and the six are friends. Although, Sally has a tendency to pick on Peter.

Liz suddenly states she's pregnant, and not wanting to be a father, Harry panics and runs off. The same night, Liz Allan is murdered.

Sally, of course, blames Harry, stating he killed her but Gwen vouches for him, stating Harry called her last night, saying he felt dizzy before passing out on the call. She would state she called Norman, and Norman watched over his son while he was out.

Sally calls bullshit.

Peter, devastated, investigates the murder of Liz Allan. He'll try to go to Adrian Toomes for help, only to learn Adrian Toomes has "escaped" prison a year ago.

Not knowing what to do, he turns to Daredevil, who agrees to help him investigate by calling up Jessica Jones. (Now, in the comics, Jessica and Peter were classmates and Jessica had a crush on Peter. But I'm going off the Defenders saga here, so leave me alone). Jessica doesn't really do anything as a hero in the movie, she just investigates, similar to how Matt Murdock was only a lawyer in No Way Home and wasn't Daredevil until She-Hulk.

Now, Peter assuming it was Norman, tells Daredevil and Jessica but he couldn't provide why he was so certain it was him so they tell him that's just a dead-end.

Meanwhile, Harry is going crazy. And in going crazy, he realizes Norman has been drugging him using the goblin serums, so he attacks Norman. During the attack, he comes to the realization that Peter is Spider-Man and assuming Peter is the only one who can help him, he kidnaps Gwen as Green Goblin in order to draw Peter's attention.

However, it's revealed any and all crimes the Green Goblin committed, he didn't actually commit, and instead Tombstone, working with Norman, did. And everything Harry thought he did was just nightmares the serum was giving him.

When Peter states he can't stop what the serum is doing to Harry without proper research, Harry panics because the nightmares will turn into a reality soon if nothing can stop them, and within his panicked state, he drops Gwen.

Peter gets shot in the leg by Tombstone before he could jump to save her, so he shoots a web instead. It catches her before she hits the ground, but whiplash is a thing.

And voila, MCU Gwen Stacy meets the same fate as TASM Gwen Stacy. Leaving Peter more devastated then ever as Harry absolutely loses his mind. And he runs away, just as Daredevil arrives to the party and knocks Tombstone out, while also stopping Peter from killing him.

The movie ends at Gwen Stacy's funeral as Sally is determine to kill Harry Osborn. At the funeral, Teresa does approach Peter, claiming to be his lost sister and that's how the movie ends.

We do get two end credit scenes though. Nothing to do with Ned and MJ however.

First of all, we see Harry leaving a therapy session with Doc Samson before getting confronted by the Venom Symbiote that was left behind.

Second, we see Professor Miles Warren, a pedophile, who is devastated by the lost of his student he didn't get to assault, Gwen Stacy. So, with the example of Spider-Man's DNA, he had started the process of cloning Peter Parker.

The third movie starts out with Peter having coffee with his presume sister, Teresa. She explains that they're parents were S.H.I.E.L.D. agents killed by HYDRA, and she was born just before HYDRA killed them by hijacking the plane. When Peter asks why Fury didn't tell him, Teresa questions why Fury would tell him that if they never met before revealing Fury only arrived back on Earth a year ago, and the "Fury" stepping in was a Skrull, confusing Peter.

Now, this would be the movie where we finally get to see MJ and Ned fully again. As in, Ned got a job at the Daily Bulge and has been really interested in becoming Peter's friend.

But after everything, despite his longing to be friends again, Peter figures he can't befriend Ned or fall in love with MJ again.

Now, MJ being MJ, will realize Ned's new coworker is Spider-Man easily. Simply because she has came to the conclusion Spider-Man no longer trusts people and with that, there's no other way Peter could get the photos he gets of Spider-Man.

She will confront him, and he'll break down, revealing everything to her. She'll comfort him, telling him everything will be okay. Now, if this was comic Mary-Jane, she would've slapped him and told Ned, causing him to become the Hobgoblin. But this is MCU Michelle Jones, so she doesn't and Ned will not become the Hobgoblin until the next Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy.

Instead, we get Harry Osborn back as Venom. Now, Venom, presumingly being the same as Tom Hardy's Venom, has probably realized what Norman Osborn has done. And is full-on targeting him. Hey, Venom might want Spidey, but he hates toxic daddies.

However, we would be getting our very first live action version of Sally Avril's Bluebird. Now, I don't know anything about Bluebird, just being honest. But I do believe, with the murder of Liz Allan, she will attempt to kill Harry Osborn.

Now, Bluebird and Venom are going all out against each other while Norman Osborn watches, fucking drinking tea. Mattie will make her return as Spider-Woman, and now being either sixteen or seventeen, with still little experience, she'll fail miserably before getting unmasked and killed by a clone of Spider-Man while Spider-Man arrives.

This sends everyone into a shock. Doctor Strange will make a cameo where he just turns the TV off and states he needs to go to bed.

Spider-Man, Bluebird, and Venom did not like the idea of a sixteen-seventeen year old getting murdered by a clone and team-up to fight the clone while John Jameson's Man-Wolf instincts kick in at the death of his cousin on live television and generally, as Man-Wolf, he doesn't know who the fuck to blame, so he attacks them all, and wins.

Spider-Clone goes back to Miles Warren while Spider-Man, Bluebird, and Venom take cover at MJ's place.

Peter and Sally are shocked to discover each other's identity. And Harry breaks down, explaining everything. Peter and Sally do not trust him, but MJ threatens them so they allow him a second chance but don't allow him to help which Harry agrees too.

The final battles goes with Peter taking down his clone while Sally arrests Norman with the help of Teresa.

The movies ends with She-Hulk making an appearance talking to Man-Wolf. Harry, now going by Agent Venom is getting training by Peter. And Sally makes friends with MJ, Ned, and Betty.

We get the end credit scene of the Spider-Clone running away from Miles Warren and taking up the name of Ben Reilly.

Now, depending on the events of Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, we would get a third trilogy based off of the Clone Saga. We'd probably get it where Tom Holland doesn't or can't act in one of the movies so Ben Reilly becomes Spider-Man for a movie, we'd get Kaine Parker and see him fight with Ben. I'd personally like it if we get Jessica Drew as Jessica Parker instead, y'know like Ultimate Spider-Man (comics), and we'd get Mattie Franklin revived. And within the Clone Saga, we'd get a bunch of other Spider-folks along with superheroes that more or less only Spider-Man comics.

SS Statendam was an ocean liner of the Holland America Line built in 1957. She was bought by the Paquet group in 1982 and renamed Rhapsody and sold again to the Lelakis group in 1986. Later she became part of the Regency Cruises fleet and was named Regent Star in the Regency fleet. She was laid up after the Regency Cruises bankruptcy and remained in poor condition for many years. She was scrapped in Alang, India in 2004.

Apollo 17 cruise The ship was the venue for a conference on space exploration held to coincide with the December, 1972 launch of Apollo 17. Panelists included science fiction authors, scientists, and others ranging from Isaac Asimov to Norman Mailer to Katherine Anne Porter. The cruise had only 100 paying fares, only 40 of whom paid the additional conference fee, and Holland-America Line lost an estimated $250,000 on the venture. G.  The next morning, you woke up with a headache. You didn’t remember coming back to the hotel the night before, but you did remember having the time of your life with your friends at the bar. 

The rest of the boys were awake and watching something on television. Harrison was sitting up in bed next to you, and the second you saw him, you knew he didn’t get much sleep. The bags under his eyes were darker than you had seen them in a long time, but your worry melted away when his smile crinkled up his under-eyes. 

“Good morning, sleepyhead,” he said. You groaned in response and pulled the sheets over your head to shield your eyes from the sunlight. 

Tom had called for room service and ordered everyone breakfast. You were lucky enough to wake up a few minutes before it got there. 

After you were all finished eating, you packed up your few belongings and brought them to the car to finish the drive to your new apartment. The dread in your stomach made you move slowly, but you knew that no matter how slow you took your steps, you would be in Adam’s arms by nightfall. 

As you waited for the rest of the boys to finish bringing their things to the car, Harrison pulled you aside. 

“Hey, you don’t happen to remember the walk home last night, do you?”

“Oh god, what did I do?”

“Nothing,” he chuckled.

“You wouldn’t have asked if it was nothing.”

“You got me there. It was nothing though, you just got a little upset and I carried you home. You wouldn’t tell me what was going on though, so I was just going to ask if there was something you wanted to talk about.”

He of course was lying, but he wanted to present the chance for you to tell him about your feelings about the move and Adam while you were sober. 

“Oh, well that’s not as bad as you led me to think. But I’m sure I was just emotional drunk. You know how I can get,” You lied right back. 

You knew exactly why you had been upset. You thanked your brain for not letting the truth slip through your loose, intoxicated lips. The last thing you wanted was to let anyone know about that dread in the last stretch. 

Harrison just sadly nodded at your reply and went to grab his belongings. You were too focused on the fact that you had almost blew it to notice his change in demeanor. 

The five of you made your way into the car and set off. The atmosphere felt a lot heavier than the day before. The windows were still down, and the music was just as loud, but no one was singing along anymore. 

Each of you were secretly praying for some kind of halt to the journey. None of you wanted to let go. 

The boys had one more stop planned, and that helped them cheer up a little. It was initially Harry’s idea to ask you to model for him one last time back home. He was going to bring you to one of the spots that he had always wanted to shoot, but the other boys talked him out of it. They said that they would find a better spot along their route for him to stop and take pictures of you. They had said that if he didn’t approve of the spot beforehand, then they would forget about it and he could go on with his original plan, but the second he saw what they had found, he forgot his plan altogether. 

When the car pulled over to the side of the road, you were looking down at your phone. Adam had been texting you all morning, sending you photos of your apartment and asking when you thought you were going to arrive. You, of course, hadn’t had the heart to reply. You were doing your best to pretend like the move wasn’t happening. When you felt the car jerk to a stop, you finally looked up, and the sight before you was enough to make you gasp out an “Oh my god”. You had pulled up to a large field of flowers that stretched farther than you could see in almost every direction. The flowers were all bright and sectioned off in blocks by color. It was a rainbow like you had never seen. 

“You like it?” one of the boys asked, but you were too amazed to respond. Sam got out of the car, allowing you to crawl out as well. You didn’t wait for anyone else as you approached the field. You were too enamored with the sight of the field to notice the boys behind you. Tom was taking full credit for finding the field while Sam helped Harry find all of the equipment that he had packed into the back of the car for this moment. Harrison, however, was busy looking at you. He knew you were too busy admiring the field to turn around and catch him staring, so he let himself truly soak you in. Your smile and wide eyes made his heart swell. The night before, he was happy to see you having a good time again, but he had never seen you this excited about anything. He had to force himself to look away when you shot around and ran back to them. 

You were rapid firing questions to all of them, asking how they had found this place, what you were doing there, and how long you could stay. Tom ended up trying to answer all of your questions, but when he told you that they had brought you there to model for Harry, you attention turned to your former roommate. 

“You should have told me, dipshit! I would have worn something better than this,” you exclaimed, gesturing towards your casual shorts and t-shirt. 

“Y/n, we literally have your entire wardrobe packed into the back of the car, you are perfectly capable of changing in the backseat.”

“I hate you,” you chuckled, but wrapped Harry in a hug anyway. You were too happy to hate him. 

You searched for one of your bags while the boys helped Harry find his camera bag. You found both bags at the same time, and as you searched for the dress you wanted to wear, Harry ventured off to find the spots with the best lighting and angles. 

You jumped into the backseat and changed from your shorts and shirt into the sundress. Luckily the windows were tinted, so if anyone was around, they weren’t able to see you change through the windows, not that anyone was around anyway. 

You exited the back seat and made sure your dress looked fine before you caught up with the rest of the group. Harry was quick to guide you to the first spot he had chosen, and Sam took the role of his grip, making sure reflectors were in place to get the best shot. 

You hadn’t had any experience with real modeling, but that didn’t stop Harry from using you as one of his go to models. That was how you had initially gotten closer to Harrison. You had met him a few times through Tom, but you hadn’t spent any real time with him until the first photoshoot that Harry asked you and Harrison to do for him. That was also the first time you really realized how handsome Harrison was. Of course he was dressed for a photoshoot, and his poses were helping his appeal, but for a few months after that first shoot, you had to hide how flustered he would make you each time he would come around. 

Little did you know, Harrison was thinking about that first shoot as he watched you dance around in the flowers. He fell for you just as you had fallen for him. He had always thought you were adorable, but he didn’t realize how beautiful he thought you were until that first shoot. You were wearing the same dress in that field as you did in that first shoot, and it made him wish he could go back in time. He tried to remain in the moment, he tried to keep a smile on his face, but watching you made him wish that he had gotten a chance with you before you had fallen for Adam. He knew there was nothing he could do about it anymore, but he wanted nothing more than to belong to you. 

The five of you spent a couple hours in the fields of flowers. You had gotten tired of modeling, but Harry wanted to get some shots of just the flowers. 

After the second hour, it was evident how exhausted everyone was, but no one would admit it. Once you were done with that stop, there was nothing else between you and your new home. The dread of the inevitable wasn’t enough to keep you there forever though. As the sun began to get lower in the sky, Tom had reluctantly suggested that you guys head back to the car. You still had to unpack all of your things from the car into the apartment, and the boys were going to try to make the entire drive back over night, although you had insisted that they just stay the night with you. 

Dejectedly, you all made your way back to the car. Harry’s bags were stuffed back into their place, and you all packed into the car. Once you all had your seatbelts on, Harrison started the car, or tried to at least. The engine made a pathetic whirring sound, but it wouldn’t turn over. 

Harrison cursed under his breath and continued to try for another minute, but the sounds just keep getting worse. “Want me to call a tow truck?” you asked from the backseat. Harrison didn’t want to admit defeat, but his frustration was rising. He tried to start it one more time, and you put your hand on his arm to tell him to not worry about it. He melted a little into your touch, but you suddenly had a great idea and your touch disappeared as your arm shot away from him in excitement. 

“Everyone out,” you commanded with a huge smile on your face. Tension and annoyance were still heavy in the atmosphere, but you weren’t going to let it stay that way. Once you were able to get out of the door, you went around to the back of the car and grabbed your picnic blanket and spread it out on a patch of grass. 

“I’ll call for a tow truck in a second, but first, we appreciate nature.”

“Y/n, that’s what we’ve been doing for the past 3 hours,” Harry sighed.

“No, we’ve been walking through a field for 3 hours, but now we’re going to sit, there’s a difference you div.”

The boys all sat on the blanket as you instructed and faced the field. It wasn’t late enough to watch a sunset, but the sun was low enough in the sky to turn the atmosphere golden around the flowers. It was beautiful, and you wouldn’t have been able to see it while in the field. You had to take a step back to really admire it. 

You sat in-between Harry and Harrison, resting your head on Harrison’s shoulder as you admired the flowers. You decided to pull out your phone and call the truck so you weren’t stuck there for too long. You grabbed your phone out of your pocket, and your stomach churned at the sight of the notifications on your screen. There were 6 missed calls from Adam and 15 texts. He was never like that, but from the looks of the last few texts, you knew it wasn’t an emergency so you ignored it. 

Harrison had seen your notifications as well, and was surprised to see you ignore them and carry on to search for the number for a tow truck like Adam didn’t exist. It wasn’t like you to ignore someone like that, especially not your boyfriend. He had been worried about you since the interaction the night before, and this didn’t help that. He knew something really had to be wrong for you to flat out ignore him. 

When you called for the tow truck, they said they would be there in 15 minutes, and that they were going to send out a second truck so they could bring everyone to the shop. After you told the boys, the rest of the wait was spent in silence, admiring the field in front of you. 

When the trucks arrived, you watched as they hitched Harrison’s car before you got into one of the trucks with Harry. Within 15 minutes, you were sat in the shop as they worked on the car. They said it would be an easy fix and you should be out of there in an hour or two. 

This had been the delay that you had been hoping for, there was no way you were going to be able to make it to Adam that night. You were going to be with your friends for one more night, and you had never been more thankful for a shitty car. 

The five of you sat waiting, making terrible jokes to pass the time. Tom had found a hotel not far from the shop for you guys to stay the night, but you had forgotten to inform Adam of the delay. It would have completely escaped your mind if he hadn’t have called while you were sitting there. 

Your phone began to buzz in your lap, and you ignored it on instinct, but Harrison noticed. 

“Your phone’s ringing,” he pointed out, making you snap into reality. You looked down to see Adam’s contact information on the screen. Now that someone else’s attention was on it, you couldn’t exactly ignore the call, so you cursed under your breath before you excused yourself to take the call outside. 

“Where are you? I’ve been calling for hours,” Adam began, worriedly without so much as a hello as soon as you hit the answer button.

“Hey, Adam, sorry. The car broke down and we’re in the shop right now. I don’t think we’re going to make it tonight.”

“Well, I could come get you. Just need to tell me where you are.”

“That’s really not necessary. I can just finish the drive tomorrow.”

“Will you though?”

His voice suddenly sounded colder than you had ever heard it, more accusing than you had ever been spoken to. It caught you completely off-guard. 

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, is this really about the car?”

“What do you want me to walk the rest of the way?”

“Picking you up would be no hassle, so why don’t you want me to?”

“Adam, all I’m saying is that there was an unexpected delay. One night isn’t the end of the world.”

“First it was the lease, then it was this idiotic road trip with your idiot friends, now it’s the car, so what is it going to be tomorrow? Are you going to get lost in town? You’re putting off coming, y/n.”

“And why would I be doing that?”

You knew he was right, but there was no way you were going to let him have that satisfaction. 

“I don’t know, why don’t you tell me.”

“It’s not what I’m doing, so I couldn’t tell you.”

“Whatever, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

With that, Adam hung up. He had never done so without saying he loved you first. That wasn’t what upset you most though. He had never liked your friends, but he had never insulted them. He had suggested you not do certain things with them, or to stay with him instead of going out with them some nights, but he had never called them idiots. And the fact that he was accusing you of not wanting to come upset you too, although deep down, you knew he was right. You were ready to angry cry, but before you could even react to the phone call, Harrison opened the door behind you. 

“Hey, everything alright?”

He had seen your facial expression through the window while the rest of the boys were distracted, and he almost wished he hadn’t looked. You looked broken, and he couldn’t stay put. It took all of his strength to not run out and hug you. Instead, he calmly made his way out to check on you. 

“Everything’s fine, why?”

“You, uhm, looked pretty upset on the phone.”

“Oh, that. Yeah, Adam is just a little annoyed that I won’t be there tonight, but it’s not a big deal.”

He nodded, but you didn’t see because you were doing your best to avoid eye contact. You were afraid you would cry if you looked up, and the last thing you wanted in that moment was for Harrison to see you cry. 

“Do you need a hug?” he asked, still not convinced that anything was ok in the moment. 

“I don’t need one, but I could never pass up a hug from you,” you giggled. He smiled and wrapped you in the tightest hug he could muster. He was less worried with you in his arms. 

In that moment, he decided that he wasn’t going to waste one more second of what little time he had left with you. He came up with a plan on how to make it a night you would never forget. You both needed it.

You had woken up feeling off. 

Living with Tom, his brothers and Harrison had been one of the best decisions you have ever made. Your days were filled with laughter, smiles and jokes. They distracted you from the hard reality, the parts of your life that felt like a mess. 

For a while you could escape your habits of overthinking and doubting yourself, could forget your worries and dismiss your struggles.

But it seemed you couldn’t pretend with yourself forever, the reality of your life eventually catching up with you.

Yet you were taken by surprise as you woke up feeling on edge.

You didn’t know what caused your change in mood, making you irritable and annoyed by even the smallest of things. You felt bad for the boys, seeing the surprise and shock in their eyes as you snapped at them for leaving the dishes pile up or the window open for too long.

It wasn’t their fault you felt like this and deep inside you felt guilty for being so harsh, but you couldn’t stop. You weren’t able to push your feelings aside and put on a smile.

Sometimes feelings demanded to be felt. 

You were relieved when the boys announced they were going out to play golf. You had never seen the thrill of the sport, only tagging along them sometimes when you didn’t have anything else to do. You doubted that being alone would make you feel better, but at least they wouldn’t be at the receiving end of your attitude anymore.

Hearing a knock on your door, you lifted your head. When you took your eyes off the phone in your hands you saw Tom carefully entering the room. “Hey.” His voice was soft, a glint of concern visible in his eyes as he leaned against the doorframe. You could see the hesitation in his movements, afraid to upset you. “Everything okay?”

You melted under his worried gaze for a moment, his caring words sparking something deeply inside of you, but the irritation returned only a second later. Crossing your arms over your chest in your own defence, you eyed him with a little frown on you face. “I’m fine.”

Your voice wasn’t harsh but sharp enough for you to flinch at yourself on the inside. You knew Tom didn’t deserve your cold behaviour, but you didn’t seem able to stop yourself, as if a part of you longed for the hurt that came with it.

“Okaaay.” Tom dragged out the word, seemingly not convinced but knowing not to push further. “The boys and I are leaving now. We will be back in 2 hours or so.”

His gaze flickered to the ground for a moment, as if he couldn’t bear to look at your harsh expression any longer before he found your gaze again. “Look I-” “Tom? Mate, you’re coming?” 

Harry’s voice interrupted whatever Tom had wanted to say, causing him to tense as he turned to the hallway. “On my way”, he yelled back, shifting as he looked back at you.

“Call me if you need anything.” He held up his phone to emphasize his words, waiting for you to nod before leaving.

When the front door fell shut you let out a breath, your emotions threatening to overwhelm you now that you were alone and didn’t have to put up a front any longer.

The guilt for your mean behaviour had grown stronger. It was mixed with regret and hurt as you remembered the sight of Tom’s gaze darting to the floor so he didn’t have to look at you anymore and his hesitation towards you.

You wondered if the boys had planned to go golfing all along or if the idea had come up spontaneously, a way to escape your moody presence. You couldn’t blame them, but that didn’t mean it hurt less.

Your mind wandered, wondering if the boys were talking about you right now, complaining about your behaviour to each other. You gulped as you imagined it, shaking your head as if you could shake off the vivid images.

Tears had sprung to your eyes, causing you to get more upset at yourself. You weren’t the victim here. If they were ranting about you in this moment, there was no one else to blame than yourself.

Still, it hurt.

You were too drained to stop the tears from spilling from your eyes, didn’t care enough to hold them back any longer. Perhaps crying would release your bottled-up emotions and you would feel relief afterwards.

Your vision became blurry while more and more tears slid down your cheeks. Your body was shaking with sobs, and you curled into a ball on your bed. Pulling your knees closer to your chest you made yourself as small as possible, hugging yourself to provide yourself with comfort.

You didn’t know what had caused your sudden mood swing, the heaviness which suddenly weighted on your shoulders and darkened everything around you. 

Surely there was some underlying cause to it, something that had triggered you or an unconscious thought or feeling which had built up over time until it had reached a tipping point. 

The crying didn’t seem to help, only making you feel worse about yourself, but you weren’t able to stop. Pulling out your phone you scrolled through your contacts, your finger hovering over his name before you thought better of it.

He had told you to call, if you needed anything.

You didn’t know what you needed. Only that you needed him.

But it wasn’t fair to call him now, interrupt the game with his brothers so he could come to comfort you. You didn’t deserve it after the way you had acted, couldn’t bother him with your issues, especially since you couldn’t name a reason you were feeling this way.

The temptation was there; just a little movement of your finger and Tom would drop everything and come home to you. You wouldn’t even have to say something. The second he would hear your sobs he would be on his way.

You would have smiled at the thought, but the heaviness was too powerful to allow such simple joy.

Calling Tom would be selfish. He was always working so hard. Time off, spend at home and with his brothers doing something he enjoyed was precious for him and you wouldn’t get in the way of it. 

He deserved to be happy and not someone to pull him down.

The clock told you it would only be a matter of time until the boys would return from their match. You would pull yourself together, you told yourself. It was just a bad day, nothing to make a big deal out of.

Yet the feeling that there was more to it, that something was off, didn’t fade.

You could hear their chatter before the door opened, laughing at each other and debating their match. “That was pure luck”, Sam argued, rolling his eyes at his twin before he noticed you in the kitchen. “Oh hey, y/n!”

He offered you a little wave, his voice revealing a hint of caution since he wasn’t sure what mood you were currently in.

The others were right after him, beginning to take of their jackets and shoes. Your eyes fell on Tom, his face so relaxed as he laughed at something Harrison had said.

When he locked up, catching your eye, you quickly turned away, trying to resume cutting tomatoes. You had only been distracted one second, but it had been enough time for the pasta water to boil and begin to bubble over.

“Damnit!” You ran towards it, quickly taking the pot of the stove and turning the heat down. You let out a sigh as you took in the mess in front of you, beginning to clean up the water which had spilled.

“Hey, what are you doing?”

You tensed as you heard his voice behind you, a sharp comment on your tongue but pushing it aside. “Cleaning up the mess I made”, you told him, not looking up as you wrung out the cloth over the sink.

You heard him step closer, the chattering noises of the boys shifting towards the living room. So you were alone.

“Yeah, I can see that. Let me help you.” You turned around to see him move towards you, eager to step in, but you held up your hands. “I got it, thanks.” Tom looked at you, the hesitation from earlier back in his features and now accompanied by a frown.

“What are you doing anyway?”, he asked. There was no judgement in his tone, only surprise as his gaze drifted over the chopping boards, knives and vegetables lying around and the stack of plates at the side.

You left the wet cloth in the sink, placing the pot back onto the stove and shifting your attention to Tom.

“I was trying to cook for you guys”, you confessed, biting your lip as the humiliation sank in. You weren’t the best cook, but not a terrible one either and after your behaviour earlier you thought it would be a nice surprise for the boys.

Moreover, it had been a good way to distract yourself and after a while the urge to break into tears had faded.

But it seemed today things just couldn’t go right for you. On top of that it seemed to faze you in a way it normally wouldn’t, leaving you upset over something unsignificant like the water boiling over.

Tom’s eyes softened, filling with concern as he took in your expression. He could see how upset you were and how you were trying to hide how low you felt. He knew you too well to overlook the clear signs you had been crying, your eyes still a bit puffy and your cheeks a little red. 

You appeared worn out, vulnerable in a way that he feared you could break at any second. His worry grew and with it the unease that something had happened he didn’t know about, something that weighted on you.

He was desperate to find out what it was, so that he could make it better or at least help you through it. But he was scared how you would react if he asked, not wanting to risk overwhelming you and making you push him away in response.

Instead, he took a few large strides towards you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into his chest. You were taken off-guard by the motion, a little stiff in his embrace at first but allowing yourself to relax into it as his warmth surrounded you.

You closed your eyes, inhaling his scent and focusing on the feeling of his arms around your body. Being with Tom, him holding you in his arms like this, felt safe. It grounded you and reminded you that things were going to be okay. 

As long as you had Tom, you would be okay.

You clung onto that thought the same way you clung onto him.

You were the first one to break the hug, but somehow the atmosphere wasn’t filled with awkwardness or nervous chuckles to break the tension. Instead, you felt oddly at peace. The heaviness was still an invisible burden on your shoulders, but it felt a little more bearable with Tom by your side.

The two of you were mostly silent as he helped you finish cooking dinner, but you could sense Tom didn’t seem to mind it. You were simply enjoying each other’s company, no words needed as you fell into your own rhythm. The two of you had always worked well as a team. It seemed it wasn’t different in the kitchen.

The boys were delighted as you served the food, shooting you curious gazes to figure out your state at first. But as dinner went on, your sour mood seemed to be forgotten. Still, you stayed silent, not trusting yourself enough not to ruin the comfortable atmosphere again and instead listening to their stories from the match.

Later you settled on the couch for a movie night. The boys had picked Mission Impossible, one you had seen countless times before, but you found yourself not caring about their movie choice as long as you could stay in Tom’s arms.

He had pulled you close to him when you got comfy for the movie, and while you were surprised by how casually he initiated the closeness between the of you, you found yourself smiling a little for the first time that day.

You stayed cuddled into him for the whole movie, finally relaxing. You could see the boys giving you looks, some obvious to show their curiosity and silently asking what was going on between the two of you. Others were more subtle, when they were peeking at your position in Tom’s arms. 

None of you acknowledged them and they were smart enough not to ask. 

Tomorrow would be a new day, a new opportunity for you to wake up and leave the hollow feeling behind you. And if it hadn’t passed you knew you had Tom to rely on. 

You would be okay.
