This is Rafe, 23 year old wood half-elf Ranger from Baldur’s Gate. Engineering grad who camps on the weekends. Hates Gortash. Wants Jaheira to adopt him.

The child of a Harper and a human city-dweller, Rafe spent his early childhood in a forest community among rangers and Druids, but was taken to Baldur’s Gate as a youngin. He was pushed into engineering and had quite a knack for it, but found less and less time to connect with nature and his old hobbies such as archery and foraging the further he got in his studies.

In the time he’s lived in Baldur’s Gate, things have only gotten worse, and now there are militaristic robots marching down the streets. It feels more tense and oppressive, and outsiders are being blamed for problems caused by the people in power. He’s young, but already cynical about the city’s future in such corrupt hands.

He feels a sense of familiarity among the Druids we meet, and later on, learns about his parent’s connection to the Harpers—and what this mysterious organization really is.

(Rafe wouldn't have been possible if not for Larian's awesome decision to let us customize gender/body type/voice. It means so much that we're able to make GNC characters and can feel represented. I edited the fem body type to look more masculine as well as made him custom clothes.)
