Some people live for the fortune
Some people live just for the fame
Some people live for the power, yeah
Some people live just to play the game
*Five years ago*
âHello, is there someone, that could help me?â, you wanted to know as you stepped into the dark, musty garage. On the one hand you were glad that you actually arrived here safe and sound and on the other hand you cursed yourself for getting into trouble and even more so you cursed your father. You were absolutely happy with your former car as it was all you needed to get from A to B. But it was typically your father to lecture you about how that âold clunkerâ was not suitable for someone like you and that you should drive a car according to your and your familyâs standards. He always made it sound as if you were better than the rest, as if the people in your circle of society wouldnât bleed red like anyone else did. Of course, you loved your parents and you were grateful for the life they offered you, but you nevertheless couldnât understand that arrogant behavior of having to dress according to society standards, having to stick to people of your social circle, having to go to one of the elite universities and yes, of driving a car, that was suitable for you, even if your father was the only one alongside your brother, that had that opinion.
You were quite sure that it wouldnât have happened with your old car but now you were stuck in the middle of nowhere after the engine of your car began stuttering before it broke down completely just in time as you had reached that little gas station next to a garage. You were approximately 100 miles away from your hometown as you were on your way back from a business appointment your dad had asked you to join since you were part of his team of unrelenting lawyers. Well, and now you were stuck somewhere on the countryside, where you had to walk probably 10 miles until you would find the next best house. You just hoped, that you were at least lucky enough that someone would be working in the garage but the door not being locked gave you at least some hope, that dropped bit by bit, however, when you realized that you couldnât hear any noise. âHello?â, you tried it again but with just as much success as before, meaning none at all.
âFor fuckâs sake.â, you grumbled, thinking how you should go on. A short glance at your cellphone told you that you didnât even have a signal. âGreat, just great.â, you sighed in annoyance. You slightly jumped as you suddenly heard a deep voice behind you asking: âMay I help you?â Your hand immediately covered your heart as you tried to calm down a little bit. Being sneaked up on somewhere in the middle of nowhere with no-one knowing where you were, was not exactly what you were looking for. âDamn, you have scared me.â, you said, trying to suppress the shaking of your hands as you were turning around. âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to.â, the guy in front of you said, almost making you hitch a breath. You had no idea what you were expecting but it definitely wasnât a mechanic like him. The guy standing in front of you looked simply stunning. He was tall and muscled, his pitch black hair held in a bun, a few strains having fallen from it. The jeans, he was wearing, was ripped, the grey tank top spotted patterns of grease here and there. It was a rather tight fit on his body, giving away his defined chest, the tattoo covering his whole arm and part of his chest making him look more dangerous than he probably was. His huge hands were covered mostly with grease just like part of his face, telling you, that he must have worked on fixing a car just moments ago.
You had to tell yourself to look away as you were quite sure that you were not only staring but definitely checking him out, which you surely didnât mean to although he was one of the hottest guys you had seen in your life. You almost drowned in his dark chocolate brown eyes, that sparkled with amusement, and it took you some time to figure out that he had been talking to you. You scolded yourself as you tried to focus on what he was saying, wanting to know: âIâm sorry, I must have went blank there. What have you said?â His deep voice sounded entertained as he asked again: âI wanted to know whether I can help you.â
âOh yeah, yeah.â, you nodded, taking a deep breath and replying: âMy engine broke down on my way home and I have just made it here in time. Are you the only mechanic around?â
âWhy? Donât you trust me to be able to fix your car?â, he winked at you and you felt how heat was creeping up your neck as you shook your head, saying: âNo, I didnât mean it like that. I was just curious that is all.â
âDonât worry, I was just joking. But to answer your question, yes, Iâm the only mechanic here. This is my garage respectively my gas station.â You nodded your head as you had no idea what to say. Actually, you were pretty good doing smalltalk and all in all you were good with words and carrying a conversation as well but at the moment you simply were at a loss for words. He - whoever he was - took a rag out of his pocket in order to clean his hands, saying: âHow about you show me that car of yours and I see what I can do for you?â
âSounds like a plan to meâ, you nodded your head, walking past him so you could lead him to your car. Slowly but steadily you were gaining back your confidence as you reached it with him following on your heels. As you turned around, you pointed at your nose, saying amused: âYou missed a spot there.â, causing him to clean his face like he did with his hands before. âThanks, dollâ, he winked at you and you had no idea how you should react as this certainly was not the way you were used to strangers talking to you. Then again, you were on the countryside, where this was probably normal. âThatâs itâ, you said, pointing at your car as if it would have been uncertain what you were talking about, causing him to whistle as soon as he took in the sight of your vehicle. âThat Mercedes is yours?â, he wanted to know in disbelief, probably judging you already as daddyâs little girl, that got spoiled with all she wanted. You shrugged your shoulders as you answered: âUnfortunately it is, yes. Itâs not that I could stand that car but my father was of the opinion, that it would bring me safely from A to B. Guess he was wrong and he should have let me stuck with my old companion.â You sure as hell wouldnât mention that your father was of the opinion, that it was only suitable for your social circle, having rambled about it too much already. You had no idea why you even mentioned it, he was a stranger after all, but somehow you had the feeling of having to justify yourself as you didnât want to be seen as stuck up, something you hated to be seen as, especially since you were far from it, no matter your familiar background.
âItâs a beautiful car, thatâs for sure. Unfortunately those modern vehicles are rather frail for errors of any kind, especially due to all the technical support systems they are packed with. You said that your engine broke down. Did it just go out from one moment to the next?â You shook your head, explaining: âNo it was basically stuttering for a bit when I were a few meters from your drive, so I guess I was just lucky that I actually made it to the gas station before it broke down in the middle of the street.â He nodded his head, asking you to unlock the door so he could open the front lid in order to take a closer look. You did what he had been asking for and it didnât take him long to actually find the damage. Although you had no knowledge about cars respectively their single components you listened closely when he informed you that the engine would have to be replaced, which was not only expensive but also would take some time to have it ordered and delivered. âYouâre not having one of those here?â, you wanted to know, being quite sure that a garage in the city wouldnât have to waste much time in order to repair your car, well at least not those, that you usually went to when something with it was wrong. He gave you a look as if you had lost your mind as he replied: âSweetheart, those garages youâre probably used to, might have them in storage but if you look around this is a tiny place here. People, that come here and need my help, usually drive older cars with a minimum to zero extra equipment. So no, I donât happen to have that special engine in the back of my garage. Fan-belts, spark plugs, brake disks, those kind of things, yes. An engine for your sports car? Definitely not.â
You gave him an annoyed look, on the one hand because he made you sound really dumb and on the other, because you certainly were not a fan of being given nicknames by a stranger, no matter how hot he was. âYeah I got it, thank you for the explanation. How long does it take to order the engine, have it delivered and have the car fixed?â, you asked, being pretty sure that you actually didnât want to know the answer. âA week if weâre lucky. Deliveries out here arenât really on time to put it in a nice way. They either arrive or they donât. And usually people around here just accept it. Itâs more of a âWhen it comes, then it comesâ kind of thing.â
âA week? You canât be serious. I need to be back in the city tomorrow afternoon at the latest as I have an important business appointment.â, you exclaimed, not willing to accept his answer. âWell I guess you have to cancel that one, doll.â; he winked at you, causing you to groan out in frustration. âCould you please stop with all of those nicknames? I didnât know that we had met each other before. And I canât just cancel that appointment. I have to discuss an important law suit with a client. Is there nothing you can do?â If he was offended by you calling him out due to the names he had been giving you, he at least didnât show it as he responded: âIâm not familiar with practicing magic, Iâm sorry princess. So no, there is nothing I can do.â
âSo what do you suggest? That I stay in the middle of nowhere for at least a week until my car is repaired? Do you even have something like a motel out here?â You highly doubted it as you hadnât seen too many houses along the way, especially none, that had offered a room to rent. You cursed this whole day. You were tired after the meeting marathon you had, it was already dawning, your brand new car, that you didnât even want to drive, broke down in the middle of nowhere, and now it even seemed as if you had no chance of getting away from there within the next hours. Somehow you had the feeling, that it couldnât get worse. Well, you were wrong when the mechanic told you: âUnfortunately not. Motels arenât a thing around here. Since weâre not really near one of those highways being regularly and frequently used, motel owners couldnât really survive out here due to the missing customers.â Perfect, it just went worse.
Your frustration grew bit by bit and you felt how you were close to tearing up, an annoying habit of yours as you tended to get rather emotional when being frustrated. It was not so much that you would scream around and throw a tantrum, no, it were rather tears of frustration, that you had to fight back constantly, when something didnât go the way you planned. You took a deep breath, trying to figure out your options. You certainly didnât want to call your father for help although he would have probably picked you up but since you and him had your problems recently that definitely was off the table. And you highly doubted that a taxi would drive so far into the countryside, probably just shrugging it off as a joke when you called for one, that was if you found a telephone, that was actually working. Your brother was off the table as well. You actually got along quite well with him in former times but ever since he had become your fatherâs business partner, being engaged to a rather stuck up bitch, whose family had even more money than your own, he got lost almost completely in his arrogance and probably would use the situation you found yourself in as a further occasion to lecture you how you have failed again as for him, anything that didnât meet extraordinary measurements, was classified a failure. So no, that wasnât an option either.
âDamn it.â, you mumbled as you ran out of ideas how you should go on from here. âI guess you have no-one to pick you up?â, he wanted to know with you shaking your head as you answered: âMy family and friends live in my hometown approximately 100 miles from here and even if they would be willing to drive here, most of them I wouldnât want to ask for help even if my life depended on it.â You gave him a sad smile as you realized how terrible that must have sounded but whatever he was thinking, he didnât give it away. Although he was friendly and polite he obviously had judged you to a certain degree already as he said: âIt probably doesnât meet your usual standards but if you want to, you could stay in my home for the night. Itâs nothing fancy but at least itâs a roof over oneâs head. And I promise that Iâm not a psychopathic serial killer.â He gave you a beautiful smile and you couldnât help but chuckle although you were slightly offended by the fact, that he obviously was of the opinion that you would turn up your nose at standards lower than what you were used to. You couldnât help but ask yourself what an expression you must have given to people, that didnât know you as you always thought that you were different than your family, that you didnât send out an aura of arrogance, that money hadnât corrupted you or put you in a position where you thought you were better than other people. You tried to push those thoughts away, didnât even want to think about why you were thinking such things just because a stranger said something about standards, that probably wouldnât meet what youâre used to, but you couldnât help that you were questioning yourself.
âThatâs probably exactly what a psychopathic serial killer would say if he wanted to lure his next victim into his home.â, you said amused, causing him to laugh out loud, answering: âYeah probably. But I can promise you that I will do you no harm.â You had no idea why, since you actually were a person, that didnât trust other people easily, but somehow you could tell that he was sincere. And it wasnât as if you had much of a choice anyway, so you gladly accepted his offer. At least you wouldnât have to stay outside in the middle of nowhere and sleep in your car. And it would give you some time to think about your next steps. âCan I leave my car like that? I mean no oneâs going to steal it, will they?â
âIâm pretty sure that no oneâs coming in order to do so. The people living in the nearby town donât even lock their doors since everyone is only interested in their own stuff and donât really care for other peopleâs poverties. So youâre good. Besides that, we donât have much of a choice than to leave it here. Well, except for pushing it into the garage, so if you want to help me, we can definitely try it.â
âNo, Iâm good. My heartâs not really attached to it. I would just hate if I had to explain it being gone to the insurance at a later time.â, you shrugged your shoulders, before you got your little suitcase out of the trunk and locked the car afterwards. Whenever the gas station and garage would get closed, you were ready to go. âGive me a few minutes to take care of everything around here and I will give you a ride, okay?â
âAbsolutely fine for me.â Before he turned around he held out his hand to you, an irresistible smile on his lips, saying: âIâm Roman by the way.â You shook his hand, returning his smile, answering: âIâm Y/N. Nice to meet you, Roman and thanks for saving me out here.â
âItâs my pleasureâ, he said amused before he turned around to head back into the garage in order to turn off the lights there. Staring at his back now you had to admit to yourself that his ass was just as stunning as anything else on him. âGood Lord, Y/N, stop it. Youâre not a teenager with a hormone problem anymore.â, you scolded yourself, shaking your head due to your behavior. Instead of drooling over a hot mechanic, you should have thought how to get back and what to do with the important meeting, that you probably would miss tomorrow. And more importantly how you should get back respectively what you should tell if you didnât return until your car was fixed. You were leaning against your car, watching how the sun slowly set on the fields, being suddenly blinded by a pair of headlights. You were obviously so caught up in your thoughts, that you didnât even hear the car drawing nearer until it stopped right next to yours. âJump inâ, Roman said through the open window of his old pick up truck and you couldnât help but smile. You definitely preferred those old cars over those fancy modern ones. You moved over to the passengerâs side and slipped onto the seat there. Before you could say anything you heard his deep voice: âItâs not as fancy as your Mercedes but at least itâs driving.â You shook your head as you mumbled: âItâs perfect the way it is.â Â As soon as he had reached the highway, you wanted to know: âDo you live far from your workplace?â
âItâs a matter of perspective and how you define far I guess. Itâs approximately 20 miles one way.â As you realized what direction you were taking you stated: âI think I had passed that little town shortly before my car started to mess up.â
âQuite possibly, yeah. Itâs not too big, actually the typical American small town with a few farms surrounding it.â
âIâm sorry if I sound noisy, but how can you actually make a living here? I mean, you said before, that here arenât even motels since this is not one of the frequented routes.â You heard him chuckle as he answered: âIâm not living from people, that happen to pass by. Of course, there are some when they take this route to get to their destinations instead of the packed ones, but most of the time itâs the people living in the small towns around here. My hometown is not the only one, there are a few in a few miles distance and mine is the only gas station respectively garage around here. So sooner or later if they need something, they end up here. Besides that, Iâm actually specialized on old-timers and not many repair them anymore nowadays. So from time to time Iâm called to bigger towns or cities if they canât fix their old cars themselves, which basically gives me an extra income.â You nodded your head in understanding, having to admit to yourself that you didnât even think of the fact, that his garage could be the only one in a radius of several miles. You had no idea how long you were actually driving until Roman stopped the car in front of a beautiful yet old house. âHere we areâ, he said before he got out of the car, closing the door behind him, moving over to your side, opening the door for you so you could get out. âThank you.â, you stated, following him after he had told you to do so.
Some people think that the physical things
Define what's within
And I've been there before but that life's a bore
So full of the superficial
When you entered the house, you had a feeling of security, that you couldnât really explain. It was absolutely cozy here and the whole furniture, the decorations and everything else were so much more loving placed than the ones in your parental home could have ever been. There were pictures on the wall, that caught your attention. You didnât want to be noisy but you found yourself peeking at them. Roman must have noticed while getting rid off his shoes, stating: âThatâs my parents and my little sister. You probably find pictures like those in every room if you just take a look.â You smiled sadly as you answered: âThey are beautiful. The only family picture in my former home was a big one, that rather served for representation purposes than to treasure a valuable memory.â You could not really name the look he was giving you but if you had to take a close guess, it looked mostly like compassion. You shrugged it off as you certainly didnât feel like talking about your family now. You followed Romanâs example, getting rid off your shoes as well before you followed him into the kitchen. A short glance in the refrigerator told him, that he should run for errands rather soon, hence why he let you know, an apologizing look on his face: âI must have forgotten to replace everything in here. Usually my sister is the responsible one when it comes to that. All I can offer you are the ingredients for a sandwich. Itâs not much, I know, but itâs better than nothing.â
âItâs absolutely enough. Thank you.â, you said before you sat down at one of the chairs at the kitchen table. As Roman was collecting everything he needed, he let you know: âYou can either have my sisterâs room or my own and I crash on the couch. Whatever you prefer.â Although you felt kind of comfortable here, you didnât want to be an intruder and you certainly didnât want to make any inconveniences, hence why you said: âNeither you nor your sister have to move because of me. If I can sleep on the couch Iâm more than just grateful.â You had no idea how old he was but you found it kind of strange that he was still living in his parental home. Then again, maybe they were so old already that they needed his every day help and therefore he didnât bother to live somewhere else. You were curious, yet you didnât dare to ask. He was placing everything in front of you before sitting down himself, a bright smile on his face as he answered: âYouâre not making any inconveniences Y/N, donât worry. My sister is currently away in college so her room is vacant. And Iâm sure she wouldnât mind.ïżœïżœ You felt how you were getting emotional, seeing how someone, that knew nothing about you but your name was so friendly and helpful while your own family probably wouldnât even have thought offering a tiny piece of help as someone like him wouldnât have been worth their effort. You gulped hard, mumbling a silent âthank youâ, before you made yourself dinner. You were eating in silence for quite a bit before your curiosity had the worst of you. âMay I ask you something?â, you wanted to know with Roman nodding his head, stating: âSure, go ahead.â
âIsnât it lonely out here? I mean at your workplace? Have you never felt the urge to go to college and move away from here to a place, where thereâs more life?â You were aware how arrogant that must have sounded but you certainly didnât want to indicate that his job was a lousy one. It was more out of curiosity since you had grown up in completely different surroundings. âYou mean go to college and become someone important? Someone, that wouldnât come home at the late evening covered in grease and dirt and smelling of sweat?â You had no idea whether he was hurt or not and before you could take back, what you had said before, he gave you a sad smile, explaining: âDonât worry Y/N, I didnât take it the wrong way. I actually went to college a couple of years ago. That was, when my sister was still at the beginning of junior high. This gas station and garage was something my father had taken over from his father and he had taken it over from his and so on. And although I love it and always wanted to be in charge one day, I hadnât thought that it would be so fast. I think I was in my 3rd semester, I wanted to study afterwards and I wanted to work somewhere in the big city for quite some time before I intended to return and step into my fatherâs footprints. Unfortunately destiny seemed to have other plans for me. One day when I was preparing for a rather important exam I received a call from my aunt, asking me to come home immediately. My parents had been killed in a terrible car crash and my sister couldnât bear it. My aunt had been afraid that she would do something to herself. That basically was the moment the life I initially had dreamed about for myself was over. I left college, returned home to this town and took care of my sister the best I somehow could, trying to replace the parents we both had lost. And since it was always her dream to see the world, to become a doctor one day, I stayed here, trying to earn the money the best I could by taking over the garage and the gas station, so I could support her, so at least one of us could live the dream we had. Donât get me wrong, I love it here, I love what Iâm doing and I hope that Iâm making my father proud although he doesnât know about it, but it was not exactly what I had planned. And I know that my parents hadnât either as they wanted me to live my dream, they wanted me to study, live and work in the big city, but destiny just wasnât in agreement with our plans.â
You felt that you were close to tearing up when you whispered: âIâm so sorry. When did this happen?â He gave you a sad smile, answering: â A few years ago, but I still havenât managed to go into their room. It still looks like it did the day they left. Going in there is just too overwhelming. So I would offer you that room to stay in, but I donât want it to change, as stupid as that may sound.â
âThat doesnât sound stupid at all, quite the contrary actually.â, you mentioned, your voice thick with emotion, cursing yourself that you made him share his terrible story with you. Roman made you snap out of your thoughts when he wanted to know, probably in an attempt to lift the mood: âWhat was your old companion?â
âI beg your pardon?â, you looked at him confused as he chuckled, explaining: âBack at the gas station you mentioned, that your father should have let you stuck with your old companion. What car were you driving before?â You smiled sadly at him as you answered: âA Volkswagen Beetle.â With him asking in surprise: âReally?â You nodded your head as you could tell, that he was rather curious and since he had been so open to you, you felt as if you should explain it in more detail. You took a deep breath before you stated: âI probably should explain that. What you have told about your parents, about your family as a whole, they sound as if they were really loving people, that cared for you and that just wanted the best for you. My family is kind of different. Donât get me wrong, Iâm sure that my father and my mother love me just like my older brother does, but they donât have a loving mannerism to them, they donât really show it. You probably have already thought about it, maybe even judged me which I canât blame you for, but my family is rather wealthy, being part of a higher social circle. I grew up rich, if I said that I wanted a horse, I knew that it would have been in front of my door the next day. My parents, my whole family, lives and breathes for money, they define themselves over status symbols. My dad had established a rather famous law firm and for him, just like my mother it was clear that my brother and myself should join it, first as employees, then as business partners and later we should take it over. They never cared about what I actually wanted. Sure they gave me a life, where I had not to worry how to make a living but they didnât care about what made me happy. My brother is different, heâs just like my dad. They share the same vision, they share the same graving for materialistic things. I never wanted to go to Harvard, I never wanted to study law, I never wanted to be a part of that social circle they expect me to be a part of. But they didnât care as it was simply expected. I always wanted to break free, I wanted to live my dream. And I tried to do so by taking a side job as a waitress without them knowing as they would have forbidden it, telling me that it was not suitable for someone like me. But I loved it. Whenever I told them that I would be meeting some friends, I worked my shifts and for months and years I was saving the money I made there to buy that old Volkswagen Beetle. It belonged to one of the regular customers at the diner I had been working in. She loved it dearly as it was a gift from her husband, that had died a long time ago. When she was too old to drive on her own I asked whether I could buy her car as it would have broken my heart to watch her as she had to give it away. She was  so grateful, even wanted to give it to me as a gift, but I wanted her to have the money I have worked for. I canât even explain it, but it meant a lot to me to buy something so valuable with the money I have earned for myself, even if it was an old car, that a lot of other people would have brought to the next best junk yard. But for her it meant wonderful memories and for me it meant treasuring something, that was so valuable to someone before, as well as fulfilling my dream of buying something I have worked and saved for. I absolutely loved that VW Beetle and I was so happy when I returned home with it although it turned out that I was the only one. When my dad saw it, he threw a tantrum, accusing me of betraying his principles, lecturing me in what his friends and our family should think if his daughter drove around in something so poor like that car. He wanted to have it taken away but somehow I managed to keep it although he had ignored me for months. But for me it was not only a car, it was a sign for the freedom and the dream I was craving for, and that my parents didnât want me to have. When it finally didnât work anymore I was heartbroken. And I hated that Mercedes, that my father gifted me with. I have lied to you before. His reason was not to get me safe from A to B, his main concern simply was that I should drive a car, that was representable for him. And I absolutely hate it.â
Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
Roman listened closely to your story and he felt a deep wave of compassion for you. Growing up with parents, that only wanted him and his sister to be happy, to live their dreams, hearing something so different from his own, made his heart heavy. You gave him another sad smile as you stated: âIâm probably the typical poor rich girl, that everyone has heard of but no-one ever believed to exist.â Â
âThat sounds absolutely terrible.â
âThatâs how life is, I suppose.â You shrugged your shoulders, trying to somehow hide your emotions. âIâm sorry. I mean growing up like that must have been... I donât even have words for that.â, Roman said, his voice heavy with compassion. âItâs okay, Iâm still here after all.â , you joked, turning quiet afterwards just like he did. You sat together in a comfortable silence for quite a bit before Roman wanted to know: âHave you thought about what you want to do with your car? As already stated I probably can only repair it within a week at the earliest. Since you mentioned that you need to be back tomorrow, I could try to get a tow truck from the city, that could bring your car in a bigger garage and could give you a ride while doing so. I would drive you myself but unfortunately Iâm having an appointment tomorrow and I have no idea how easily I can cancel that.â A feeling of gratitude washed over you as you realized how helpful and kind he was. You really wished, that you would have known more people like him. Before you could answer he winked at you, saying: âOr you cancel your meeting and stay here until your car is fixed, driving it home yourself once it has its new engine.â You were not sure whether he was joking or not, but if you were honest to yourself you kind of liked the idea. Simply not going back in time, simply not following your fatherâs will, that differed so much from your own, being rebellious like you never had been in your life. And you actually wouldnât mind getting to know that stranger, in whose house you had been invited, better as he seemed to be a really sweet and kind guy. You were curious hence why you asked: âWhy? Would you give me shelter for as long as you need to get my car going again?â He looked at you rather surprised, obviously not having thought that you even considered it but with an irresistible smile he answered: âAbsolutely, if you want to stay here until your car is repaired, you are my guest.â
âWell in that case, Iâm gratefully accepting that kind offer once again.â Roman chuckled as he wanted to know: âWhat about that really important business meeting tomorrow?â
âScrew that. Since my brother thinks that Iâm a failure nevertheless, Iâm pretty sure that heâs just waiting for me to mess up, so he can improve his status. Iâm just making it easy for him.â, you winked at Roman, causing him to laugh out loud. âYour brother sounds like a complete jackass.â
âThatâs actually way too polite for him.â, you laughed as well, talking with him for quite some additional time before you decided to call it a day, heading for his sisterâs room in order to get some sleep. The next day started with nothing else than a huge dispute, that you had already expected, the moment you called your father in order to let him know, that you wouldnât return for a week at least. He was screaming around, giving you the feeling as if you were a little girl and demanding to know whether you had no sense of responsibility at all since you obviously willingly put a major law suit at stake by not showing up. When you told him about your broke car, he demanded to know where you were, so someone could pick you up but you firmly declined, ending the call right afterwards. You were sure that he was fuming and you couldnât care less as it felt way too good to not do what he was expecting from you constantly. Â âIs he out to murder you already?â, Roman asked amused as he was handing you a cup of coffee, that you thankfully took, taking a sip and replying just as amused as he was: âProbably. Letâs just hope that he hadnât tracked down my location.â
"I wouldn't worry about that. The middle of nowhere can't be tracked.", he winked, causing you to laugh even harder. Since you hadn't to do anything now, you decided to accompany Roman during his work at the garage. Not that you could have done a lot there, but you could keep him company at least, making those hours more enjoyable during which no customer showed up by telling him random stories from your childhood and listening to his as well. And somewhere in between he had been making a few calls to have your engine delivered, but no matter where he had asked to order it, the fastest it could get delivered was two weeks. You could tell that he was sorry, that he hadn't better news for you but if you were honest to yourself, you didn't mind. Staying for a week longer didn't sound too bad to you since you actually really liked his company. The more time and days passed by, the both of you noticed, that you had quite a lot in common despite your complete different upbringing. You shared the same taste in music, you were entertained by a lot of the same things, you were in agreement to a lot of political views just like you agreed on a lot of things with regard to the morality compass. You had the feeling as if you found that one friend in him, that you had wished for throughout your life, but haven't had until now. And you were absolutely grateful, that he didn't see a spoiled rich girl in you, but the sweet person you really were, the one, that despised the arrogance your family was going through life with. And you had to admit that you liked this way of life you were living now.
You would have never imagined that you could survive outside of the city as you liked having everything in close reach, but staying here on the countryside now gave you a feeling of peace. Everything was at ease, the hectic of the city was not present and you loved the fact, that you didn't have to sugar coat clients and possible business partners but that you could work with your own hands. Since Roman didn't want to take money from you for giving you a place to stay and since you were not willing to accept this gratitude without showing yourself grateful, you had decided to help him at the gas station and the garage. And although there was not much that you could do, you nevertheless enjoyed the feeling of falling into your bed exhausted, knowing that you had achieved something with your hands, that was not only due to hard negotiations. If someone asked you whether you wanted to trade this life for yours, you would have probably said yes. But like all good things this one had to come to an end as well.
Just as he had estimated, it took Roman two weeks to repair your car, two weeks where your enraged father and brother almost tried to call you daily with you ignoring each of their calls. You were an adult after all and therefore were not obliged to answer to them. Besides that, you were sick and tired of living your life the way they wanted you to. When you threw your suitcase in the trunk of your car that day, you felt untypical melancholic, not feeling like leaving at all. But you knew that you had to, knowing that you have found a great friend within those two weeks. "Promise me to give me a call once you have reached your home, will you? I just want to make sure that your family hasn't lynched you in the meantime.", Roman smirked at you as he pulled you in a close hug with your returning it right away, laughing out loud as you replied: "Yeah I will. Maybe I should go into hiding for a bit."
"Or you just call me if you need any help."
"That sounds like an even better plan", you winked at him before you said your goodbye, driving back into your old life, already missing what you had left behind.
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah
*Three years ago*
"Say that again. And you better add this time that you were just joking.", your father yelled at you with your brother next to him, being just as pissed as he was. You shot them a deadly look, wanting to kill them as you hissed: "Could you turn the volume down? You have heard me quite well."
"I'm not even thinking of turning the volume down.", your father enraged, being even louder than he had been before, adding: "What the hell were you actually thinking?" You had guessed that your family's reaction would be hostile, but you wouldn't have expected it to reach such dimensions.
When you had returned home after your car breaking down in the middle of nowhere two years ago, your father as well as your brother demanded an explanation what you were thinking, all while your mother stayed in the background rather. They wanted to know whether you had no feeling of responsibility, blaming you for almost losing a rather important client and yet you couldn't have cared less. During those two weeks you had lived a life you always wanted, you felt free, you felt satisfied. And that was not only because of the great company Roman turned out to be but also because you didn't have to live the life of others, you didn't have to bow down to a social circle you didn't feel well in, no. You were able to simply be you, to not care about any materialistic stuff, to just live like you wanted to. You stayed in contact with Roman after having returned to your old life and you were beyond happy when he called you a few weeks after, asking you whether you would like to meet him for a coffee since one of the famous garages in your city had called him for help with repairing a rather rare old-timer none of the mechanics of said garage were familiar with. You didn't have to think twice to accept his invitation and just like during those two weeks, you enjoyed every second in his presence, the time passing by incredibly fast.
When he had to leave, you told him that you would visit him the next weekend, offering to help him with the gas station, which he eagerly accepted. From there life kind of went its own way. It started with a sweet kiss before you found yourself in his arms with him making love to you in the sweetest way possible and before you knew it, you were already dating for a little more than one and a half year. It wasn't always easy due to the different lifestyles you were living, not even speaking of the distance that separated you, but somehow you managed it. You wanted to make it official and although Roman's sister, that you loved more than you could have ever loved your own brother, and his friends knew with all of them accepting you right away, it was another level with regard to your family. You wanted to, you really did, but you were persistent as you could have only imagined your family's reaction, letting Roman know about it. It was only his positive thinking, his reassurance that he could deal with them, that convinced you that you could tell your family about your relationship and now⊠Well, you wished you hadn't done so.
You had invited your family for dinner, your father, your mother as well as your brother and his wife. A mistake, you should have known in advance about. Roman had helped you with the food, had helped you with decorating the dining room and most of all he had helped you with calming your nerves, by telling you: "Baby, it's alright. I'm not expecting them to love me. I just don't want you to be so secretive about it. I know that you're doing it for me, but I can deal with it, I really can." For the occasion he had even jumped in a nice suit, kind of changing his appearance and if it wasn't for his rough palms, that gave away that he was working with his hands, he could have made people believe that he was a doctor, lawyer or a media mogul in one of the most important media conglomerates in the world.
When your family visited you that day, the atmosphere changed. They eyed him curiously, but nevertheless stayed polite in their own cold ways. It was alright as long as you were engaged in general topics and you were already kind of relieved that they seemed to accept the man in your life, that held your heart. That was until your brother wanted to know what university he went to and in what kind of influential company he and his family were working at. You could have heard a needle being dropped when Roman told your family that he had left college after three semesters and that he took over his father's garage and gas station after his death. You could see the change in your family's facial expressions after learning about his job and they certainly were not of the compassionate kind. Your heart almost broke for the man you loved, being confronted now with your family, that obviously though that he wasn't worth anything. Your father demanded, that you would follow him in the hallway, your brother being on your heels while your mother and sister-in-law stayed behind, neither of them saying a word. You had closed the door behind you, although you knew that it had no sense in doing so as your father's enraged voice could have been heard on the street probably.
Some people search for a fountain
That promises forever young
Some people need three dozen roses
And that's the only way to prove you love him
You were listening to his rant as he yelled at you: "What the hell were you thinking, Y/N? When you told me, that you wanted to introduce your boyfriend to me, I expected that you would know your place, that you would have brought someone at home, that was settled in our social circle. And then you have the guts to introduce a mechanic to me? A mechanic?! I don't care if he's a great guy or not, he does not belong by your side. Can you even imagine what our friends and business partners might think when they learn that my daughter, a Harvard alumni and future co-owner of my law firm is dating a filthy mechanic? Have you ever considered what this would mean for our social status?" You had enough by now. You would have been alright with your family insulting you only, but talking Roman down, knowing exactly that he could hear anything from the next room, was more than you could bear. It was probably for the first time in your life, that you found the courage to yell back just like he did: "You know what father? I don't care about your social circle, I don't care about your law firm, I don't care about your money or about your materialistic symbols of wealth. And most of all I don't care anymore about pleasing you, about adjusting to your life, about living your dream. I never wanted this lifestyle, I never wanted to pick friends from your so called social circle, I never wanted to go to Harvard, I never wanted to work in your law firm and I sure as hell never wanted your car, your apartment or your money. You want to be rude to me, want to call me names, want to belittle me, sure go ahead, do that. But I'm not letting you badmouth the man I love, the man, that is so much more than you or my brother could ever be. And I'm not letting you badmouth his family, his upbringing, his life, his job or anything else. With all of your need for materialistic stuff, for your wealth and your reputation, you have never, never in your entire life, bothered to ask me what I wanted. You just assumed, just expected me to live my life according to your dreams, according to your rules, according to your expectations. You didn't give a simple fuck whether I was happy, whether that's what I wanted, no, you just formed me after your idea. Do you want to know one thing? There were only two times in my life when I was happy. Once was when I bought that VW Beetle, that you hated so much, and the other time was when I met Roman and how my life has developed from there. There is one thing, that he had learned from his family, he was taught from an early age despite them not having a full bank account, something that absolutely lacked in our family and that's to be kind to each other, to be grateful and to give back. All you can do is to take, to demand and to toss out the ones, that don't fit your ideas of perfection."
You could see, that he was close to slapping you, something he didn't do but your brother took care of as he smacked you on the cheek, screaming: "How dare you talk to our father like that? How dare you disgrace us with choosing a mechanic as your partner?" Before you could say anything, your father took your brother's side, yelling: "It was more than just clear what you think of us and how ungrateful you are for the life we had been offering you. You don't want to be in my law-firm? Consider yourself fired. You don't care about the apartment, you are living in? You are out of it by the end of the week. You don't care about us and the social circle you belong to? Fine, feel free to be happy with that poor mechanic in there, but don't you dare, to come back crawling in our life, wanting all of this to magically return to you." You didnât know what you were expecting, but at least you would have thought that they would swallow their pride and somehow accept who you chose to love. But it turned out that your family was even worse than you would have guessed. You took a deep breath before you replied just as loud as they had yelled at you: "As of now it still is my apartment you are standing in. Grab your stuff and get the fuck out of my home. You don't want to see me again, don't want to have me in your life, fine, it's not like I'm begging to have you in mine either. Just get lost for good.â
There were a few moments of deadly silence before your father and your brother called for their wives and with one last slam of the door they left not only your apartment but also your life. You were trembling with shock and anger, the latter one boiling inside of you due to all of the nasty things you had just heard, your anger overwhelming you as you felt tears falling down on your cheek. You didn't want to cry but it was your usual reaction when you were mad. You were not crying due to your family abandoning you, you were crying due to the knowledge that Roman had to listen to their words, had to listen to them thinking that he was worth shit, had to listen to your family not accepting your love, knowing that his own would have accepted you with open arms.
You felt how strong arms embraced you, pulling you closer until your were wrapped in a feeling of security as he was holding you close, mumbling words, that should calm you down although your didn't really understand them. "I'm so sorry, so terribly sorry.", you sobbed again and again, not really having the right words to express how terrible you felt, how much you despised your family for having treated him like they did, for them not being able to accept people, that didn't live the same way of life like they did. "It's okay baby girl, you have warned me beforehand. I can live with them neither liking nor accepting me. But I can't live with seeing you as desperate and heartbroken as you are now. I'm so sorry that I talked you into introducing me to them. If I had known that this would take such a terrible turn I would have never proposed it, I would have never asked you to go that final step. I'm sorry, sorry for destroying your family.", he mumbled, his voice sounding just as heartbroken as you felt.
You needed a moment to process what he had been saying, not being able to believe what you had just heard. You stared at him in shock, his expression full of pain and guilt, shaking your head vehemently. Your family treated him like crap, your family acted as if he was worth less than they were just because he wasn't wealthy, your family didn't accept him although he had been nothing but polite and kind, and now he was the one apologizing for the outcome, apologizing for your family having tossed you out of their life, apologizing for them not accepting who you loved and how you wanted to live? And not only that but he also wanted to take the blame for that? You were crying even harder by now, needing some time until you found your voice again before you said, your voice breaking in between again and again: "Don't tell me that you are serious right now, Ro. My family treats you like dirt and you really want to take blame for that? They are disgusting, they are arrogant and superficial assholes only valuing money and even more money. You are the best thing, that has ever happened to me, so don't you dare to blame yourself for their disgusting behavior, for them being assholes through and through." He whipped away your tears and you could tell, that he was still blaming himself for how this evening had went, for you facing the end of your current financial stability and your previous lifestyle, that had ended so abruptly. "I'm sorry nevertheless.", he whispered, leaning down to give you a soft kiss, that you immediately returned, wrapping your hands around his neck while doing so.
When you broke apart, you gave him a sad smile, whispering: "You know how we have always talked about how much a long distance relationship sucks?" He gave you a little smile himself, answering: "Yeah and I'm still of that opinion."
"Well given that I was basically thrown out of my apartment, do you mind if you give me shelter once again? I'm even happy with the basement."
"Are you serious? I mean I will give you all the shelter, that you ask for, and I would love you living with me, but... I mean, it's not the big city, you know that."
"It's the place I prefer most in this world. And I would live anywhere, even if it was a small cottage with no-one around, with no running water or electricity, as long as you would be by my side." You could tell how touched he was by your words, searching for the right ones himself. You were gently touching his scruffy cheek, your fingertips trailing along his jawline. âI love you so much, I donât even have enough words to describe it.â, he whispered, placing a soft kiss on your forehead with you whispering just as softly: âI love you too, Ro, more than anything else in this world.â
Hand me the world on a silver platter
And what good would it be?
With no one to share
With no one who truly cares for me
*One year ago*
âYou canât do this. We canât do this. We just canât go on like that.â, Roman grunted as he sat down on the couch at home while you were leaning against the doorframe, your arms crossed in front of your chest, as you didnât want to believe your ears. âYou canât be serious, Ro.â, you answered, being shocked by the disbelief in your voice.
After your father had told you to leave not only your home but also your family, you had moved in with Roman two years ago and you had loved every single second ever since. Of course, it had been a massive change when taking your former life into consideration, but it was a change for the best. You were living the life now, that you always wanted to live. You didnât need money, didnât need materialistic things, wealth, a high society profile, an influential reputation or a reputable job to be happy. All you wanted, all you needed was a person you felt comfortable with, a person, that accepted you like you were, a person, that loved you. And you had found that. All, that counted for you, was being by his side and you couldnât have asked for anything else. You absolutely adored living where you were now, you loved the friends you had found, you loved Romanâs sister like your own, the one you never had, and you enjoyed learning to fix and service cars bit by bit. This job maybe wasnât exactly what you had dreamed about in the beginning, but it meant a lot to you returning home at the end of the day and knowing that you had done work with your own hands. Putting all of the happiness you were feeling aside, however, the both of you had your ups and downs, more ups of course than downs, but they were there nevertheless. You loved each other deeply and you didnât get tired of showing and proving it to each other, but sometimes Roman doubted himself.
And within the last few weeks, basically during that time where you had mentioned that you wouldnât mind becoming his wife after he had asked you jokingly whether you would say yes, he had changed. You were discussing the same topic again and again, always with the same outcome, but no matter how often you told him, it seemed as if he didnât want to listen. Just like he didnât want to that evening, that basically marked the biggest argument you had until now. You were not willing to accept that, were not willing to agree with him as you knew how stupid that was.
As you were waiting for his answer, you watched him as he was taking a deep breath, his voice not only frustrated but desperate at the same time: âIâm serious, baby, more than serious. I canât give you what you deserve. You deserve the life you had lived before you met me. I love you, you are the best thing, that had ever happened to me, but Iâm aware that I canât ask this of you. I canât ask you to become my wife, I canât doom you to continue living here, canât make you stay here and work in a gas station and a garage. Thatâs not the life, that youâre used to, that you should live. And I canât give you another one, I just canât. You deserve so much more than this here. Your father was right, when he told you that a poor mechanic is nothing for you. You should have listened to him. You could be married to a guy by now, that could grant your every wish, that you could go to the fanciest parties with, that could give you the world. And yet you had been wasting your life with me for the past couple of years, in a town, that is not good enough for you, in a house, thatâs not good enough for you, with a guy, that is not good enough for you. I should be able to give you the world and yet Iâm not able to give you even the tiniest bit of it. You deserve so much better, baby, so much better than I could ever give you. Your father and your brother were right. I never wanted to accept it and yet, they were right. IâŠâ
Before he could continue, you stopped him right there and then. âShut it, Ro, just shut it for fuckâs sake.â, you groaned as you left your position and moved into the room, closer to where he was sitting. As you were standing in front of him, you demanded: âLook at me.â, only continuing as soon as you had his full attention while his eyes rested on you: âI have no idea whatâs wrong with you recently. If it is because of that wedding joke you cracked and my answer just tell me. I donât force you to marry me, I donât need you to do if you donât feel like that. But stop it, for fuckâs sake, stop what you had just said and donât you dare to repeat that ever again. Every since I had met you my life basically began. This right here, this small town, this house, you by my side, this is all that matters, all that counts, all I need to be happy. I had wealth, I had money, I had a high paid job and a social circle I was part of and I hated all of that. I have never felt so lonely like I did during my childhood, my youth and part of my adult life, where I had to live for the expectations of others rather than getting the chance to do what I want in order to be happy. I have found all of this now and I have found all of this because of you. You are all I ever needed. I donât need shiny things, I donât need money, I donât need any of that stuff. All I need, all I want is you. And I have no idea how I should convince you, how I should make it clear to you that Iâm not missing anything of my former life. I left all of that behind and feel like Iâm living for the first time ever. I donât need a man, that has a high paid job, a great reputation or a circle of friends, thatâs full of arrogant snobs like my brother. I need a man, that I feel comfortable with, a man, that loves me to the moon and back, a man I can always count on and a man, thatâs funny, smart, humble and has a heart of gold. And that man is you, Roman, whether you want to believe it or not. So please, for the love of god, stop trying to talk me into a life, that I donât want to, as you start acting like my father and my brother did although they had way less noble motives. I am happy with what I have and I donât need a single other thing. I got you and that is enough. You are my world and that wonât change just because you keep telling yourself that. If you want me gone out of your life because you donât love me anymore it would shatter my world, but I would learn to deal with it. But then be at least honest with me. You talking yourself down, belittling yourself and telling me what you think would be best for me, has to stop. I can make that decision for myself and I have made that decision a long time ago. Four years ago to be more precise, that moment I met you and decided to stay in your home for the first time.â
Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
âHow can you even think that I donât love you? Youâre holding my heart in your hands, you are the love of my life, you are my world, baby. I love you more than my own life and because I love you so much, I donât want you to live a poor life as you deserve the world.â
âHave you even listened to me? I donât give a fuck. I donât need to live the life of the rich and famous. I want a normal life and this right here is closest to heaven like it could be for me. So stop it already.â, You had lost your calm by now, screaming at Roman although you had tried not to. But right now he just drove you mad. How could one guy be so damn stubborn? Didnât he want to understand that he was your life and that he was all you needed to be happy? And you would be as long as you were by his side no matter where or how you two had to live? Did you first have to slap some sense into him until he would finally stop it? You leaned down to your boyfriend, your voice strangely distant as you yelled: âIf you want me out of your life, just say it. But donât give me this bullshit again and again.â You felt how you were tearing up again, scolding yourself to not cry this time, not give in now. Roman held your gaze, not saying a single word, just deciding on his next move. You had enough, you couldnât take that tensed silence any longer, needed to get out of the room.
Before you could move, however, Roman was reaching out to you, pulling you down on his lap until you fully sat down, one leg on each side of his thighs, not being able to move since his hands rested on your hips, holding you in position. âLet go of me.â, you hissed, trying to push him away, your hands on his chest, with him not moving just a bit. You watched him shake his head, his lips crashing on yours seconds after, his tongue begging for entrance. You knew that you couldnât resist him, no matter how mad you were. Therefore you found yourself returning his kiss with the same passion he showed to you. Breaking apart after a little eternity the both of you were grasping for air. As you had calmed down Roman placed his index finger on your lips to silence you, knowing you quite well, knowing that you wanted to know what he thought he was doing. You heard his deep voice soothing you, embracing you, when he mumbled: âIâm sorry baby, for all of that. I donât want to tell you how to live your life. I just⊠I donât know. Sometimes I feel that Iâm not good enough for you. I know that you donât think so. But knowing that I canât give you all of those things I would love to give to you had the worst of me. I⊠Iâm just so scared that you realize in the long run that you had made the wrong decision when staying with me, that you would have been able to do better. I trust you, I really do. And I know that you are honest with me. But there is that tiny voice, and it unfortunately sounds a lot like your father, that keeps telling me that Iâm not good enough for you, that I can never be good enough for you.â
You gently touched his cheek, stroking away the tears that were falling down on them, whispering: âAnd if you listen closely, there should be your fatherâs voice as well, babe. And he probably is telling you that you are enough in every single way, that you are everything a woman could ask for in a boyfriend, a fiancee, a husband. I love you and I never want to hear anything of that again.â You had no idea whether you had convinced him, whether you had covered that topic for good. But you learned so shortly after when he pulled out a beautiful ring, asking you: âSo you would really stay by my side and live that life here with me? You would really do me the honor of becoming my wife?â You couldnât help but smile widely from ear to ear as you whispered: âI absolutely would.â With that Roman put the ring on your finger, kissing you passionately once again, finally believing you that it was him and him only that you needed in your life.
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, you, you
*Now*
âBabe, I donât have time. I need to get ready. Even if our wedding is small, I need to get dressed. I canât marry you in my pajamas.â, you laughed out loud, while Roman was covering your eyes with his hands, directing you outside of the house, not telling you where he would lead you to. âYou have more than enough time, baby. Itâs just a little surprise I want to give you beforehand.â, he chuckled, making you move while you completely trusted him. After that incident shortly before your engagement you were grateful that such a scene had never occurred again. And now⊠well now there were only a few hours left until you would marry the love of your life. Did it hurt that your family wasnât there? Of course it did since you had hoped that they would change, had hoped that they could put their materialistic driven thoughts beside and accept you and your love the way they were. But you obviously had hoped wrong. You were sad, but you didnât dare to show it, didnât want to give Roman the feeling, that he would push you into a life you didnât want to live. You just wished, that your family was more tolerant, that was all. You pushed away those thoughts, didnât want to ruin the most beautiful day in your life with those depressing thoughts. Before you could spiral down deeper, you heard Roman say: âHere we are. Are you ready?â
âI have no idea for what, but I think so, yes.â, you laughed, blinking a few times after Roman put his hands down. âI hope that you like it, baby girl.â You couldnât believe your eyes as you were staring at the object in front of you. âHow?â, was all you could ask when Roman hugged you from behind, whispering in your ear: âI loved that story you told me about how you got it and hated the sadness in your voice when you told me what had happened. It took me some time to call all of the possible junk yards but eventually I found the right one and I got extremely lucky when they still had it there. So I picked it up, brought it here and repaired it. Itâs as good as new.â You still couldnât believe your eyes when you whispered: âBut Ro. I had told you that story five years ago when I first met you. That means, that you have organized that all of those years ago. Why? You didnât even know whether you would see me again.â
âWell I had hoped that I would. And if I hadnât I would have kept it for myself as it would have reminded me of you and how happy I was the moment I met you. And after we started dating and everything developed in that beautiful way it did, I just waited for the perfect occasion to give it to you and here we are.â You wouldnât have thought, that you would see your beloved VW Beetle, the car you worked for and paid with your own money, the car your father hated and you defended with everything you got, that you would ever see it again. And yet it was standing in front of you now, having been completely restored by the man you loved, the man, that was only a stranger back when you told your story, the man, that listened and wanted to give you back what you had missed ever since, the man, that would be your husband in a few hours, the man, that was your life. You were almost overwhelmed by your feelings as you turned around in his arms, hugging him tightly before you pulled his head down, giving him a soft kiss, whispering: âI donât know what to say and I certainly donât have enough words for that. Thank you so much babe, you have no idea how much that means to me and how moved and happy I am right now.â
âYouâre very welcome, sweetheart. Iâm glad that you like it. And⊠well actually I have another surprise for you as well.â, he let you know. âAnother surprise? Babe, the VW Beetle is the greatest thing you could have surprised me with. What else could you give me?â
âSomething you probably value even more. At least if you are honest to yourself and give it some time.â You must have looked at him in pure confusion, causing him to chuckle as he whispered: âTurn around.â You did what he had told you, not believing your eyes once again as you saw the persons standing there, that had tossed you out of their lives three years ago. You could tell that they had no idea how to act, that your father & mother as well as your brother and your sister in law were embarrassed seeing you again. Not due to the setting but due to their initial behavior.
Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you, baby
If I ain't got you, baby
âWhat are you doing here?â, you wanted to know, not sure whether your voice sounded hostile or relieved. It took them some moments to find the right words for an answer and it was your father finally coming up with a reply. His voice was collected but full of emotions and unshed tears as he explained: âIâm so sorry, sweetheart, we all are, for how we have treated you, the both of you to be more precise. We were completely blinded by our attitude, by our false assumptions and our prejudices, our craving for money, that we actually lost track of what was important. Roman had visited us, telling us about your upcoming wedding and informing us how you were living your life, how happy you were and how much you nevertheless still suffered due to us having acted like we did. And I canât tell you how sorry we are. We know, I know, that I have been as disgusting as I could be, that I was so blinded in wanting the best for you, that I didnât even care that the best according to my definition wasnât the best according to yours. I know now, that you have found the kindest man out there and Iâm sorry that I havenât realized that back then. I always wanted you to be happy, princess, and I was disgusted by myself after having said all of those terrible things to you, after having sent you away, but it was too late then and I was way too ashamed to find a way out of this misery, to ask you for forgiveness, to beg you to come back into our lives. We love you and we want you to be happy no matter what, even if you probably donât believe us now. When Roman visited us, he told us that it would mean a lot to you if we would be here and if we would accept the way you chose your life and thatâs what we want to do if you let us. We miss you.â
âWhy? Why have you been so terrible in the first place? Why did you feel like money and wealth was worth more than anything else. Why didnât you love me when I was a kid and a teenager?â You just needed to know. You were absolutely emotional seeing them again, not being able to put your emotions into words. You had no idea how much it had taken from Roman to head to your family, knowing that they thought that he was dirt and yet he did so, talking to them, knowing you way too well than to believe you that you werenât missing them one bit, when in reality you prayed that they would become more humble people, that they would apologize for their behavior, holding out a hand for you to reach, giving you the option to welcome them back with open arms. You had no idea how he must have felt and nevertheless was willing to go through since he loved you so much and just wanted you to be happy no matter what. With regard to your family your emotions were completely mixed. On the one hand you were happy to see them again, on the other hand you hadnât forgotten about anything that had happened, havenât forgotten about how they had treated you and the man you loved. You just needed to know. This time it was your mother answering: âWe love you sweetheart and we have always done so. We know that he had a terrible way of showing that butâŠâ
âWe have messed up, plain and simple.â, your father added, continuing shortly after: âI have never told you about my past and now I watch history repeating itself.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âI was not always the man, that I am now. And it was only five years ago that I realized that I turned into what I had despised the most. I didnât grow up wealthy, didnât grow up in the circle I found myself in later. My parents were living a normal life, not too rich, not too poor, but we were lucky with what we had. My father worked as a janitor in your grandfatherâs company. I used to help him on a regular basis, meeting your mother there one day. It didnât take long until we fell in love with your grandfather not accepting me as I was not good enough for your mother. And just like you, she didnât want to listen. We had to overcome a lot of obstacles, I was working a lot of night shifts to finance my law study and it was a bumpy ride until I had the chance to open up my own law firm with my parents supporting me. Only with the clients increasing and the money coming in did your grandfather start to accept me no matter what my social background was. Thatâs when I swore myself, that I want my kids to be in a better position, that I want them to have no matter what they asked for, that I want them to not have the feeling of not possessing enough, of not being accepted. I got absolutely blinded by that thought and before I realized it I had become just like your motherâs father, the man I actually couldnât stand back then, the man I never wanted to be. I lost track of what was important in life, denying my own past, my own roots. I always wanted to be a father, that accepts and supports his kids no matter what life they wanted to live, but I got completely lost along the way. And Iâm so sorry for that. Roman reminded me way too much of myself, brought back all of those fears I had when I was his age. It was like experiencing all of that again and I just snapped. I have acted in the worst way possible and Iâm so sorry for that, Y/N. But now Iâm here to ask you for forgiveness, Iâm here to ask you for a second chance to do things right, to welcome me⊠us⊠back into your life. As a wise man not too long ago told me, that it doesnât matter what your background or your lifestyle is, since the only thing thatâs important is being kind to each other. A wise man, you happen to marry in a few hours and it would be our honor if you wanted to have us there with you on that special day.â
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah
You felt how your tears were streaming down your face. Of course, you couldnât just forget and forgive what they had done to you and how they had treated the man you loved, but you were moved. Not only by their words as you would have never expected them to admit how they did you wrong, how nasty their views on their way of life was, but even more so because you could only imagine how hard it must have been for Roman to make that step, to visit those people, that had decided that he was not good enough for you and that had tossed you out of their middle due to that and yet he went there as he knew you better than anyone else, knew that no matter what had happened it pained you, that they wouldnât be there, pained you, that they hadnât searched for your forgiveness, pained you, that they had not been able to accept your love. And yet he went to them, talked sense into them and managed that they would ask for your forgiveness, all because his family told him to be humble and kind, told him that the most important thing in life was being there for each other and loving each other, no matter how different your background might have been.
You nodded your head as you said, your voice heavy with emotion: âI would love to.â With that you headed over to your family, knowing that it would be a long way until you would be able to forgive them, but right now, you were happy that they had taken the responsibility for their wrong behavior and that was more than you could have ever imagined from them. As they hugged you one after another, they told you how sorry they were once again and how much you meant to them, giving you some time to process right afterwards as they left you and Roman alone. You were walking back to him, wrapping your hands around his neck once you had reached him and whispered: âThank you so much babe. I canât even express how much this means to me.â
âNo need to.â, he said, whipping away your tears before he gave you a gentle kiss. When you broke apart he added: âNot having a family can be cruel. I know, that they had treated you so terribly but they are really sorry. And I promised you, that I would make you happy no matter what. Iâm intending to keep that promise.â
âI love you so much.â, you said moved with Roman replying: âI love you more.â
If I ain't got you with me, baby
Said nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing
If I ain't got you with me, baby
You couldnât believe, that you had found the man of your dreams due to a car you hated breaking down. And yet there you were marrying him in just a couple of hours. Life couldnât have been better for you and you couldnât wait to see what the future held for you in that small town, living in your husbandâs parental home, that completely belonged to you after his sister had moved into the city, helping him with his work in the garage and gas station and raising your kid, that you already carried under your heart without Roman knowing it yet. But right there and then you promised that it would grow up the same way its father did, valuing the little things in life, staying humble and kind and helping people, that needed help like Roman always did. Yes, you finally had found the life you had dreamed of ever since you were a little kid and you couldnât have been more grateful for that than you already were.

Amnesia (Roman Reigns x Reader)
Whoâs ready for angsty Roman Reigns? This inspired a lot of feelings; I started writing it and I couldnât stop. Iâm quite happy with how it turned out, though this is my first time writing anything Roman related. Based on the song Amnesia by 5SOS for the Song Challenge. Enjoy!
I remember the day you told me you were leaving I remember the make-up running down your face And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them Like every single wish we ever made I wish that I could wake up with amnesia And forget about the stupid little things Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you And the memories I never can escape
The victory was sweet, as usual. Wasnât easy, but that made it all the better. It showed he had earned it, earned the win through the shit that he got beaten out of him. It provided a bit of stability, considering today. The thought made him clench his fist again, almost Superman punching the poor locker. What was the fucking point of âmemoriesâ on phones?
Remember when you took this picture, and you were happier, and you still had someone who you loved? Of course he did, no need to rub it in.
It wasnât even a good picture; a year ago he had taken a picture of him and his girlfriend (Ex, Roman had to remind himself, ex-girlfriend) just sitting in a bar together, both of them smiling like idiots. They had both drank a bit much, Roman mused, but it wasnât a bad night. Far from it. It was the best date he had had inâŠhow long? He couldnât even remember.
Jimmy and Jey had invited him along on some sort of party a bunch of the roster was going on, since the brand shows were actually close for once, and while Roman had admired his cousinâs excitement, he told them he was sadly busy and wouldnât be able to make it. Part of it was because of his mood, another part was because he wouldnât be able to stand it if she was there too. The Smackdown and Raw split meant at least he didnât have to see her every day like he did for other co-workers. It also was a direct cause of the relationship falling apart like it did. She probably wouldnât want to see him, either, so the feeling was mutual.
It hadnât been a bad breakup, there hadnât been shouting words, things broken, accusations and names thrown like they were nothing, though they hurt enough. It had beenâŠquiet, you could say. The worst noise had been her sniffles when she told the news. They were quiet, but he could hear the sob in her throat.
Not around enoughâŠcloser to othersâŠwant to remain friendsâŠso, so sorryâŠ
He had let her get it out, wrapping his arms around her in a last hug.
I get itâŠdonât cryâŠwish you the best of luck, I doâŠhope you find someone to be happyâŠ
She had left without much ceremony after that, taking her bags and walking out the door. Roman had heard some of the other women Superstars the next day talking about how she looked like she was miserable and he felt like he had gotten kicked in the gut. It was no secret they had been dating, so it didnât take the roster long to put two and two together. The only time someone had mentioned was when Dean had called a few days after, talking about he was sorry. He had been hesitant to give out details about her, but at Romanâs insistence he vaguely mentioned her really putting her all in matches, and how she seemed a little tense with everything.
He wasnât really better off, but it was a comfort to know how she was, oddly. They had tried to keep up a conversation through texts, but it turned awkward and distant real fast, gaps between texts taking longer for the two of them until neither one was replying. It was a slow thing, but at the same time it seemed too fast for him, like a Band-Aid being ripped off quickly. The contact was over, but he still had nights spent wondering about everything, trying to fall asleep as he did. On his mind, every night, were the same pair of Y/E/C eyes at his side, usually the last thing he saw before he fell asleep. It had gotten better eventually, but still haunted him sometimes, usually after matches It was why he tried to win so much, tried his hardest, because then at least heâd be safe for one night, even now.
He had called Dean that day to ask how she was, but Dean refused to give any more information, no matter how much he asked, or threatened, saying it was time to let go. How could it be time to let go? There was no letting go.
It was hard for him, maybe because deep down he thought there was a chance they could get back together. Maybe there was a chance, but deep down near that hope was also resignation he refused to touch.
Roman didnât realize the moisture on his face wasnât all sweat until he flipped his hair back, the memory rewind still playing in his mind. It had taken him longer than expected; the locker room was empty and the crowdâs noise was dimmed. Maybe it was time to move on, Roman mused as he took out his phone and opened his pictures. There were other girls that had made it plain they liked him. Maybe he could take them out sometime. Not tonight, maybe, but some time.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! I have tissues if anyone needs them. *Bayley hugs*

There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea.
You became the light on the dark side of me. Love remained a drug thatâs the high and not the pill. But did you know, that when it snows, My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
*Years ago in college*
He couldnât believe that this had happened to him, couldnât believe that one tiny mistake could have such a severe impact on his life, his future, his passion and yet it did. One tiny moment of not paying attention⊠well not exactly. Rather one tiny moment of misjudgment. One moment of guessing the next move of the other teamâs player wrong. One moment, that changed his life for him. Roman was sitting on his bed, still trying to process what the doctor had been telling him a few days before he had been released from the hospital . He was throwing his football from his left hand to his right and back, repeating it several times while he once again relived that terrible moment in his life, that ended his career.
It was during one of the most important games of the last semester, basically the whole college was there to watch it. Roman had been beyond hyped, knowing that they were all grasping for the victory, they wanted to celebrate at the end of this game. Â The clock was ticking down, there were just a few seconds left to decide the game and he was well aware how important his role was, how much everyone counted on him, counted on him to lead his team to victory. He knew that those few seconds could also decide about his future, his career as there was a rather important talent scout in the audience, that could have opened a door for him in the major league, making it possible for him to play for his favorite team. Seconds, that he needed to make it possible for his teammate to do the final touchdown. But in the end it would have been seconds that marked the last time before his career would have been over before it actually started.
He knew that the player from the opposite team didnât want to hurt him on purpose, didnât want to harm him in any way and he knew quite well how tough of a sport football could be, that you werenât allowed to show any mercy while you were out there trying to win that game. Knew it, as he had been in a position quite some time before where he wasnât supposed to show any mercy either. And yet he would have never expected that he would have to face such a fatal fate. When his opponent crashed into him, he didnât realize what was going on at first, shrugging it of as a normal tackle, that sent him to the floor. But it only took him seconds to realize that it was not only that, seconds for the pain to explode like a firework. He crashed down on the floor, realizing only then that the painful yell was escaping his own lips.
The next thing he realized was the terrible angle his knee was located in. Everything in him screamed that it didnât look right and yet it took him a moment until his brain was able to process the words that his inner voice screamed at him. It was that moment that it hit him with full force, that moment he realized that he must have broken his kneecap. The pain was almost unbearable and it was only his determined will, that stopped him from passing out immediately. The voice screaming in pain seemed to be so distant and yet he knew that it was his own. Everything afterwards was kind of blurred and he only knew from stories he was told, what had happened.
He had been carried from the field in order to be rushed to the hospital. The game ended after a few minutes, that everyone needed to move on from the shock, in the other teamâs favor, all while Roman was brought to the emergency for surgery, the surgeons doing their best to repair the damage, doing their best to somehow repair his kneecap, so he would be able to play again. And at first they were pretty positive, that he could return one day, that he could play again although it would take months, even years of therapy. But they were wrong. He somehow knew it in advance, somehow was certain of that the moment he awoke after the surgery and his parents, that were by his side, told him what had happened. But he wanted to believe that the doctors were right, wanted to believe that he could return to the football field one day and follow his passion. Believed contrary to his own gut feeling. And nowâŠ
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah. And now that your rose is in bloom. A light hits the gloom on the gray. There is so much a man can tell you, so much he can say. You remain, my power, my pleasure, my pain, Baby, to me youâre like a growing addiction that I canât deny. Wonât you tell me is that healthy, baby? But did you know, that when it snows, My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
Well now he was sitting in his room, the pain in his knee still omnipresent and the football he was holding in his hands was the only thing, that was left behind from his former life. Although the doctors were certain, that he would heal completely, they nevertheless had to inform him that they were wrong, that their predictions were far from being accurate. The breakage in his kneecap was more severe than they would have guessed in the first place, the healing process taking longer than expected and a few days before he got released from hospital he was told the news, that he feared most. That he wouldnât be able to play football ever again. In that moment part of his world shattered, knowing that the life he knew up until now was over the way it used to be. And to make it even worse, he was informed that the talent scout wanted to offer him a contract, wanted to sign him even before he saw him on the field that day. That, of course, was before his knee cap shattered and his career was over before it actually started.
And now Roman was sitting on his bed in that little college apartment, he had rented, staring at the wall or at the ceiling for a change and pitying himself, not knowing what he should do with his life now, knowing that its initial purpose was gone, knowing that he wouldnât be able to do anymore what he loved doing. He had no idea how often he had been breaking down until this day, how many tears he had shed while he was alone in his room at the hospital, how many tantrums he had thrown back in his room, cursing his knee, himself and the player, that crashed into him, although he knew that he didnât do it on purpose but that it was a stupid accident, that could have happened to anyone.
Knowing all of this didnât make it better, however. âFuck it.â, he screamed as he tossed the football in his hands against the wall with all of the force he could bring up in that moment, the ball smashing against it with a loud thud. Just moments later he could hear a careful knocking, followed by your voice as you wanted to know: âYouâre alright, Ro?â He took a deep breath, answering: âYeah Iâm alright.â
âDo you mind if I come in?â
âNo, itâs okay.â
You carefully opened the door, stepping into his room, that usually was cleaned up all the time but right now it couldnât have been any messier and you couldnât really blame him. It pained you seeing your roommate and one of your closest friends if not your best one like that. He was sitting on his bed, his damaged leg resting on a pile of pillows while he was staring at the wall, that spotted a huge hole. When your eyes shifted over to it, you saw the football lying at the floor in front of it and you didnât need to be a visionary to know what must have happened.
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah Now that your rose is in bloom. A light hits the gloom on the gray. Iâve been kissed by a rose on the gray, Iâve been kissed by a rose on the gray, âŠAnd if I should fall along the way Iâve been kissed by a rose âŠbeen kissed by a rose on the gray.
Roman and yourself got to know each other on your first day of college, him being one of the first people to talk to you. You were still grateful, that he had started a conversation with you as you were rather scared that day. Everything kind of overwhelmed you and since your friends all headed to different colleges you were pretty alone that day. You werenât having full anxiety attacks in the past, but being there that day among all of those people, that you didnât know, with places you had no idea where to head to, well, you felt kind of lost. And back then you were pretty sure that you would have a hard time getting used to that new life here. It was not that you didnât trust yourself that you could do it. It was simply the unknown future, that scared you, knowing that you had to start anew with all kinds of friendships and talking to people was nothing, that was too hard for you but you didnât necessarily love it other.
When Roman started a conversation with you that day, basically being in the same position as you were with being all by himself, you at least got to know one person rather fast although you were aware, that he probably had no problem with gaining a circle of friends within a short time. Fast forwarded you wouldnât have thought at first that you got along so great in the end, that you even decided to become roommates and you couldnât have asked for a better one. Apart from that, there were also some lessons you were sitting in together and although your and his lifestyle as well as your interests differed to a certain degree, there was nevertheless some things you had in common, about which you could talk for hours.
Seeing your friend as desperate as he was now, hurt you more than you could have said. You knew how much he loved football, knew how hard he was aiming for being able to sign with a talent scout and get big in the NFL and yet he was sitting here now, his dream shattered into 1000 of pieces. You knew how much devastation he was feeling as thinking of not pursuing your dream any longer would have tossed you in a deep hole just like it did with him. You took a deep breath before you entered his room, carefully closing the door behind you. You hesitated for a second before you moved over to him, sitting down on the free space on his bed right next to him, your shoulder touching his before you stared at the hole on the opposite side of the room. âNew form of anger management?â, you wanted to know with him chuckling before you could hear his deep voice say: âI think so, yeah."
Although you managed to amuse him for a bit, you could clearly hear the deep sadness in his voice. You knocked with your shoulder against his, before you focused on him, a sad smile on your lips as you said: "I know that you probably donât want to hear that now, especially when taking into consideration that it was you dream to become a professional football player one day, but usually when one door closes another happens to open. As much as it might suck now, Iâm pretty sure that youâre going your way and who knows, maybe along the way, thereâs something you enjoy even more than football and with time passing you might look back and be happy for the turn your life took in that moment, even if you donât know it as of now."
"Youâre doing a rather lousy job with your motivational speech, youâre aware of that, arenât you?"
"Well it was worth a try. Sitting here the whole day, thinking of things, that could have been but werenât supposed to be, doesnât exactly help you either, you know? I just want you to not fully lose yourself in that deep hole you are stuck in currently. I just havenât figured out yet how to pull you out of it.â, you answered with Roman holding your gaze, letting your words sink in. After a few moments of silence he replied: âI appreciate your concern, Y/N, I really do. And I promise you that I will be fine eventually. But right now nothing makes sense. The one thing I had been dreaming of, I had been aiming to achieve, that one thing was ripped out right of my hands. To be honest, at the moment I have no idea what to do with my life. I know that it must sound nuts that a sport can be so important, but⊠I have no idea how to explain it. It feels as if I donât have any perspective any longer and that not only drives me mad, but also scares me to the bone. The future, I had dreamed of, just got completely erased and now I have nothing."
"I can understand you, I really do. And I know that it must be so incredibly hard to accept it and to somehow adjust to it. But I need you to understand that your life isnât over even though it seems to be at this point.â
âI know that, Y/N. And Iâm really grateful for you caring so much. And I can assure you that Iâm not jumping from the next best roof, but⊠well⊠I guess I just need time to somehow get used to it.â You studied his face, trying to decide whether he indeed wasnât in a position, where he could end up harming himself. You knew, that your friend was strong and you were pretty sure that he was honest with you, but being as deep in that pitch black hole as he currently was, well⊠you just wanted to rule out the worst.
After a few moments you nodded your head, mumbling: âI just need you to promise me that you are going to talk to me whenever you feel like that desperation is overwhelming you, will you?â Roman could tell how important it was to you that he would stay safe, so he nodded his head, a small smile on his face as he answered, pulling you into a little hug while doing so: âI promise, Y/N. I promise.â You smiled at him before you said, trying to lighten the mood: âHow about we catch up on our favorite show? They are having a marathon currently and since, despite your skills, you obviously made sure to miss the television, we still have that luxury.â You managed to make him laugh out loud as he agreed to doing so and within a few minutes you placed a bowl full of popcorn between the both of you, being trapped in your favorite show just shortly after.
There is so much a man can tell you, so much he can say. You remain, my power, my pleasure, my pain. To me youâre like a growing addiction that I canât deny, yeah Wonât you tell me is that healthy, baby. But did you know, that when it snows, My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
The next weeks basically were one huge rollercoaster ride for Roman with as many ups as there were downs. His knee was still hurting like hell and although he tried to adjust to the fact, that football was done with him for good, he found himself in a deep melancholy on a regular basis, found himself drifting away from social life, not wanting to see anyone, especially not his teammates although they were good friends to him. But seeing them just reminded him even more of what he had to give up due to his accident. You tried your best to lift your roommateâs spirits, tried your best to help him through therapy, that he had started in the meantime to ensure, that he would get full movement of his knee back eventually. And you hated to see him suffer like that, hated that you couldnât do anything to make any of this better as you could completely imagine how hard it must have been for him accepting, that he wouldnât be able to live the dream ,that he had been chasing for so long, anymore. You would have lied if you said, that there wasnât a certain sadness in your apartment ever since that accident happened and you could not think of a way to push it away, no matter how hard you tried.
It was one of those days, where Roman came home from his physical therapy more depressed than when he had left. It was not that he didnât make any improvements, quite the contrary actually, since he was able to walk for a limited amount of time per day without crutches already, but for him, it simply was not fast enough, the improvements he had been making until now were not enough for his liking, were not enough with regard to what he was expecting from himself.
You were currently in the tiny kitchen of your shared apartment, making something to eat for yourself respectively having added the double amount of required ingredients as you were sure that Roman wouldnât say no when you offered him something as well, when he fell down on one of the chairs in front of the tiny table. You could hear his frustrated sigh and as you turned around you noticed that he had buried his head in his hands. âHow was your therapy?â, you wanted to know with him grunting: âTherapy was good but Iâm not making any improvements.â
âRo, you are able to walk without your crutches for a certain amount of time per day. After the severe injury you had suffered and for the limited amount of time you are in therapy now, that is quite some improvement. Donât be so hard on yourself all the time. Injuries like that simply need their time to heal.â He lifted his head, his dark brown eyes changing between angry and sad, when he answered: âIt just is not fast enough for my liking, Y/N. I feel like a complete no-good. I canât do any sports, my movement is limited, I canât even go on any trips as I know that my knee doesnât want to work the way I want it to. Even sitting in lectures is painful with more and more time passing by. I want to be able to move it, I want to be able to put full weight on it. I want it to go back to normal. I know, that I will never be able to play football again, although Iâm still not willing to accept it, but at least I want to feel like a full functioning person again. So no, the improvements I have made are not good enough. Itâs not going fast enough and no matter how severe the injury was, I expected it to be better by now. So please donât give me that âeverything will be fineâ motivational speech.â You crooked an eyebrow, turning back to the pot in front of you, stirring what was in it while you stated: âYou sound like a little kid throwing a tantrum, you are aware of that arenât you?â
âAnd I have every right to do so. Itâs not you having to deal with the consequences of that injury, is it?â He knew, that he was unfair and he certainly didnât want to put the blame on you as he knew that it was you, that was by his side all the time, that lifted his spirits whenever he was so depressed that he thought that there was no sense in continuing with his life anymore, knew that it was you, that spent hours in the night by his side, just talking and listening to him when he felt like crying. That it was you, that was his rock in a stormy sea, that gave him perspectives, when he thought that there werenât any, that always had his back no matter how dark it looked like. That it was you, his best friend, that was there for him, no matter what and he couldnât even thank you enough for that, couldnât thank you enough for keeping him going. But in that moment, he just couldnât show it, he just couldnât be grateful as he was too deep in self pitying himself than to admit that you were right.
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray. Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah Now that your rose is in bloom, A light hits the gloom on the gray.
You took a deep breath before you put the spoon aside, turning down the temperature on the oven and turning back around so you could face him before you moved over, sitting down next to him and locking eyes with him. You remained silent for a few moments before you replied calmly: âYou are right. Iâm not the one having to deal with it. But I am the one, that tried to build you up ever since thad had happened. Iâm the one, that tried her best to pull you out of that deep black hole you found yourself in. Iâm the one, that had to see you suffer like that, knowing that I canât help you no matter how hard I try. And Iâm the one, that has never given up on you, that has never shrugged the state of mind you were in off, but that took you serious in every way possible. And I know, that you have every right to be mad, that you have every right to ask why it was you, why your dream vanished into thin air. But Ro⊠you are not the only one. Every day people all around the world have to give up their dreams for various reasons. Every day people all around the world are facing way worse fates, than the one you are confronted with. So yes, I completely understand you and I wished that you still had the life in front of you, that you wanted to pursue, but maybe, just maybe, you should let it happen for your own peace that you consider a different path in your life. That you try to stop putting football first and really think of different options, that might be already there but you are way too stubborn to see and accept now. Iâm sorry for what you have to go through, I really am. But Iâm not your punching bag. And I canât do anything than to be by your side, to help you the best I can and to show you the possibilities you might have in your life. But you have to let that happen, have to accept it to a certain degree. And if you donât want my help, at least tell me, so I can stop trying.â
He had been listening closely, hadnât interrupted you once throughout your monologue and now it was you waiting for his reaction. You didnât pressure him, didnât even expect him to reply much, so you just sat there, getting lost in his gaze while you tried to figure out the different emotions washing over his face, tried to decide which one would win in the end. You couldnât tell how much time had passed but when Roman moved his chair back, getting up as best as his knee let him, you tried to suppress the sigh of defeat. You knew that your roommate could be stubborn but you actually thought that you were on a good way of getting him back to normal. His reaction now caused you to accept the defeat, that you feared so much.
Your eyes followed his every movement, you tried to decide whether you should hold him back, tried to decide whether you should tell him that you didnât mean to sound harsh but he probably would just walk out the room, slamming the door behind him once he had reached his own room. So you just remained silent, waited for him to walk out, showing you that way that your efforts didnât meet fertile ground. When he stopped in front of you, you braced yourself for an answer, that you probably didnât want to hear. Nevertheless you wouldnât let him know how much it would hurt you if you had to learn that you werenât the one, that could help him, that you werenât the one, that could lift his spirits enough, that he would find a new profession he could pursue, even if it would take some time. You stared up at his face, his eyes not leaving yours for just a moment.
Yes, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.
Ooh, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom
A light hits the gloom on the gray
Before you could say something, before you had the chance to take back what you had said, you felt his strong grip around your arm as he was pulling you up from your chair. You had no idea what was going on, wanting to protest immediately but before you could do so, you felt yourself being pressed against his body, his lips landing softly on yours. Roman was kissing you gently while his left hand rested on your lower back, his right gently caressing your cheek, not giving you much room to move your head. You were taken by surprise, not really knowing what you should do. Feeling his lips on yours, being held in his arms was nothing you would have complained about but it simply hit you out of the blue, it was absolutely unexpected. Silencing the little voice in the back of your head, you wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss while doing so, parting your lips slightly so he could push his tongue in slowly.
You were responding to his sweet kiss right away, holding him close, drawing little circles on the back of his neck. As you broke apart Roman was resting his forehead against yours, both of you just enjoying the moment you currently found yourself in. You were the first one to find your voice again as you whispered: âWhat was that?â
âMy way of showing you that I am more than just grateful for everything you had done for me since that accident had happened. You were right with everything you were saying except for one thing.â, he whispered, his thumb slowly stroking over your lips as you whispered: âWhat thing?â He smiled at you before he placed another sweet kiss on your lips, responding quietly: âI have already found a new meaning in life. And that meaning is you. Youâre probably not feeling the same and Iâm sorry if I have taken you by surprise by that, but I havenât found the courage to tell you or show you how much you mean to me before as I didnât want to destroy what we had. But now⊠I donât know, it just seemed the right thing to do.â
He gave you a shy smile, obviously waiting for your response. He was right, you were indeed taken by surprise. Never would you have expected that he felt more for you, never would you have dared to hope that you could have been anything more than one of his closest friends. Never would you have hoped, that he felt the same way for you like you did for him, although you would have never told him. Have you wished for it? Of course. Have you hoped? Absolutely. Have you thought that he did? Absolutely not. You returned his smile, pulling his head down, kissing him gently while he pulled you closer, getting lost completely in your touch.
When you broke apart again, you whispered: âI wished I had known sooner. But I guess I was just as afraid to let you know as you were.â Roman smiled down at you, slowly processing what you had just confessed to him. âIâm just glad, that I know now.â, he whispered as well before his lips captured yours once again.
Now that your rose is in bloom,
A light hits the gloom
On the gray.
*Currently*
âA penny for your thoughts.â, you mumbled as you hugged your husband from behind, who had just placed a replica of the Universal title, that he recently won, on a vacant space on the cupboard, that held his belts. You heard his deep chuckle, feeling his rough palms rubbing over your bare arms, turning around in them shortly after, causing you to face his chest before you lifted your head so you could stare into his eyes, that were so full of warmth and love. âI was just thinking back to that terrible accident, that did cost me my profession in football. And those beautiful weeks, months and years after leading to this moment here. You were right, you know? When one door closes, another one indeed opens. I would have never expected my life to turn out the way it did. And there is only one person I have to thank for that and that is my beautiful wife, that Iâm holding in my arms currently.â, you could hear his deep voice, causing you to smile brightly.
He was right. Not only his accident but also that moment in the kitchen back in your student apartment, where he told you that you were his new meaning in life, changed your and his life forever. You started dating back then and although Roman still had his ups and downs due to his destroyed dream, he nevertheless learned to look on the bright side, knowing that you would be by his side no matter what turn his life would be taking. Both of you graduated from college and by that time, his knee was back to a condition, where he could make use of it completely again.
Due to his family background he soon found himself setting foot in the family business and years from that moment, he was not only married to you, the love of his life, but he also made himself known in the wrestling industry, having won all of the titles, that he possibly could, being one of the biggest stars the company was employing. You wrapped your hands around his neck, holding him close to you as you felt his fingertips follow your spine, sending shivers down it. âIâm glad that you eventually found that meaning in your life, that you were looking for back then.â, you whispered with Roman shaking his head as he leaned down to capture your lips in a sweet kiss, before he whispered into your ear: âNo baby girl. I have found my meaning in life the day I met you on our first day of college. Everything else is just what I love doing. But I wouldnât feel that way about it if I had to experience all of that without you. So thank you for saving me back then, for being my rock in a stormy sea, for becoming the light on the dark side of me.â You could feel that you were close to tearing up as you whispered, your voice heavy with emotion: âI love youâ with Roman giving you one of his sweetest smiles, whispering: âI love you too, baby girl.â
Before you could say anything else you felt his soft lips on yours once again. Sometimes the meaning in oneâs life was right in front of their eyes, even when it might have been covered. You were just as glad as Roman, that you both have found it that early in your life and you were both determined to hold on to it for as much time as the both of you were given together.

The time has come
December 17th really seems to be kind of a doomsday for fan fiction writers, that write smut. I have just noticed that some of my smutty fanfics have vanished. Strangely not all but nevertheless the âmajorityâ. Searching for them on my profile I found the following information:
I have no idea why, but Iâm not getting that note on every story, that had been hidden but they nevertheless canât be accessed via my blog or my master list anymore as the link just states that the post canât be found.
The stories, that are concerned, are:
It was always you Part 2 - Readerâs reaction
30 days and 30 nights
Donât make a sound
You donât swim with sharks unless you accidentally swim with sharks...
Take it out on me, babe
I donât know whether that is all or whether the smut parts in my series are concerned as well. And I also donât know whether it is just the beginning of hiding everything as the roman reigns smut search still shows a lot of content, but oh well... It is frustrating nevertheless.Â
Therefore I have decided to create accounts on Wattpad, Archive of our Own and Fanfiction.net. I will post my stories there as a âbackupâ, hoping that they wonât get lost there.Â
Of course that doesn't mean that I wonât post them here anymore as Tumblr still holds my heart besides the terrible updates and changes in guidelines, but I rather be safe than sorry when it comes to posting stuff, that took some time to create as I rather not see it getting thrown into the next best trash can :D
So besides finding (part of) them here, you can also find my stories by clicking on the links below:
Wattpad -Â https://www.wattpad.com/user/Reign-My-World
Archive of our Own -Â https://archiveofourown.org/users/ReignMyWorld
Fanfiction.net -Â https://www.fanfiction.net/~reignmyworld
Please note that it will take some time until everything is up there and I will give updates on this blog as soon as the different stories are up on those sites. So please - as always - make sure to blacklist / block the usual tags if you donât want to see those posts.

Monrose - This is Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pMZTQsT8RQ
When I'm lying on the floor, Starring at the door. And tears are falling down.
(Don't think I canât make it alone)
Been lying here for days, Soaking up the pain. My tears are slowly drowned.
(Don't think I canât make it alone)
It had been several months since you had moved to another city, not just in your former state but a complete different one. Of course it still hurt having lost him but you could feel that it was getting easier, at least you told yourself that. Not living in the same city anymore, where everything reminded you of him, helped you somehow. Your heart was still aching for Joe and sometimes you were close to just grabbing your phone and dialing his number that you knew by heart but you didn't. You knew that you would just make it worse and whatever he was doing now, you hoped that he was able to repair the damage you and him had done to his family. You avoided watching TV whenever RAW came on because you knew that seeing his face would just stir up everything again that you tried to push to the back of your mind. It took you some time to be able to do so and it took you an even longer time to somehow adjust to the situation. At first you just wanted to lie on the floor and bawl your eyes out due to how downhill everything had went ever since you told Joe that you were planning on marrying your boyfriend. It took you several tries to get back up to your feet and dust yourself off.
There was still this huge emptiness in you, the part of you that left you the day you made him walk out of your life, but you were absolutely determined to somehow fill it. You knew that this was impossible but that didn't mean that you couldn't try. And a first step in order to do so was to pack your stuff, quit your job and start anew, preferably far away where nothing would remind you of the man you loved with all your heart. It was a little challenge to find a new city you could feel at home, to find a new job and an apartment you would feel comfortable in, but you managed to do all of that. With the help of your friends you pulled up your stakes, leaving your old life behind, moving to a city several hundred miles away and starting there anew. With everything being unknown to you, you were at least occupied, not being able to think of him again and again. Your job was rather challenging but you loved it, giving you the chance to meet a lot of new people. You were already making the first acquaintances days after you had moved into your new apartment and couple days later you did not only become friends with a lot of your neighbors but some of your colleagues quite alike. Of course, none of them could ever replace the wonderful friendship you had with Joe but you didn't look for a replacement anyway. You looked for something fresh and new.
So I move my feet up off the ground Get myself in a shower, Wash you out. I'm too strong to fail, Stronger now.
Don't get twisted, Not missing you, Take a look
Before you could think twice you were welcomed to a new circle of friends, you would go out with from time to time and you knew that you could count on them whenever you needed their help. And although your heart was still shattered, you started dating again. Nothing serious of course, not even a bunch of one night stands, but just going to the movies, a nice restaurant or even a basketball game with some guys, whose company you enjoyed. But no matter how many dates you went on, you would always find yourself comparing them to the Samoan, that was not only your best friend for over a decade but also your lover for a limited amount of time. And no matter how often you scolded yourself for doing so, you just couldn't change it. It was like a curse. Whenever you thought that you could give the guy, you went on a date with, a second chance, it was always his face occupying your thoughts and your mind, reminding you how unforgettable the times with him were and that nothing and no one could ever reach that. It was not fair at all but this always prevented you from going to more than one or maybe two dates with the same guy. You knew that you had to change that, that you somehow had to get over him, that all of this wasn't good for your own well- being but it was easier said than done. Maybe it would already help you to just lock away your feelings and open up to other guys on a strictly physical level again, so you could take this as a base and start working from there. You knew that this wouldn't be the perfect solution but you had to start somewhere if you somehow wanted to return to the old you again. You would have to work on that anyway.
This is me And I will not be invisible, You can't keep me in control, Tonight I'm startin' again. (again, again)
(Don't think I canât make it alone.)
It was one of those lazy Saturdays and after a whole week at work, that was rather challenging, you were just happy to lie down on your couch in order to watch your favorite show on Netflix. You loved evenings like that, where you could just relax, not having to dress up, being able to fall asleep whenever you wanted to. Just as you were about to start the next episode the doorbell rang. You grumbled to yourself but decided to ignore it. As it rang again and again you got up and moved over to the door, rather annoyed at whoever dared to interrupt your evening. As you opened the door you crooked an eyebrow as you saw some of your friends standing there. "What are you doing here?", you wanted to know, rather surprised as you hadn't expected any visitors. Your friends didn't wait for your invitation before they entered your apartment, smiling at you. You didn't know why but you were quite sure that you wouldn't like the reason for their visit. "We are here to pick you up Y/N.", one of them said, highly amused at your confusion. "What? Pick me up to go where?", you questioned with your friend replying: "Come on Y/N. It's Saturday, we are young and the night belongs to us. You can sleep when you are dead but right now we want to take you to our usual club. They have some pretty awesome live music there tonight and it would be a shame to waste your evening on your couch instead." You looked at them rather skeptical, not really wanting to leave the comfort of your own home. On the other hand, you loved spending time with your friends and if you were honest to yourself one of the guys had caught your attention. It was not that you were head over heels but you at least enjoyed his company - although it was not the company of a certain other person of course.
You thought about it, wanting to disagree but you decided that it wouldn't hurt going out and having some fun. So you just smiled at your friends, saying: "Okay give me a minute. I'll be right back. Oh and feel as if you were at home" With that you vanished into your sleeping room, grabbing your favorite dress and heels, before you headed into the bathroom to jump into your clothes, putting a little make up on and combing through your hair. A last look convinced you that you were ready and as you moved out of the bathroom to join your friends you were greeted with a lot of compliments. "You look stunning, I hope that you know that." Y/F/N said, the one that you actually found pretty attractive. "Well, thank you Y/F/N, you don't look too bad either.", you winked at him, making him chuckle. As you grabbed your bag you signaled to them that you were ready to go and the bunch of you left your apartment. Luckily for you the club was in walking distance, meaning it wouldn't be too bad if you had a drink or two.
No I will not be invisible, Shining bright like a star, I'm in control No you won't hurt me again, You won't hurt me again...
When you were heading there your thoughts travelled back to Joe, automatically thinking of all of the times you and him would hit the clubs in the past, and you could feel how your heart was growing heavy immediately. You cursed yourself and decided to ban every single thought of him to the back of your mind. It wasn't long until you reached the club with Y/F/N, who had put his shoulder over your arm, pulling you closer to him, asking: "You're alright Y/N? You look kinda sad." You tried to smile at him as you answered: "Yeah I'm alright. I just had to think of something."
"Something concerning your past?", he wanted to know with you smiling sadly as you replied: "Yeah. It wasn't hard to guess, huh?" He smiled at you, pulling you closer as he said: "Not at all. And to be honest, whoever he is that had hurt you that bad, he deserves to be slapped in the face." You looked at him in shock as you asked: "How do you know? I have never said anything like that." He thought about his words before he answered: "It sounds completely cheesy but in certain moments, when you think no one is watching, you seem to be absolutely heartbroken. The kind of heartbroken you actually just experience when a person you love from the bottom of your heart has betrayed you. I have just figured that it was a boyfriend that hurt you or something like that." You had to gulp hard, feeling how your eyes were already filling with tears as you mumbled: "To be honest, you are not far from the truth. Heartbroken is pretty fitting. But... I mean... he has not betrayed me. I made him leave."
"Do you want to talk about it?", he wanted to know with you shaking your head as you answered: "Not really, no. But thank you for your offer. Right now I just want to go to this club, dance the night away and leave my old life and everything, that's bothering me, behind." He smiled down at you, saying: "We certainly can do that." You smiled up at him and joined the happy chatter of your other friends as you queued in front of the club, waiting to be allowed in.
When I'm reaching out for life And die a thousand times Too weak to carry on...
(Don' think I can't make it alone.)
When silence is the sound, And hope is fading out And all the love has gone
(Don't think I can't make it alone.)
For a while the ground was gone, Don't worry I weren't there for long
I'm stronger now, Too strong to fall. Don't get twisted. Not missing you. Take a look.
Once you were in, you made sure to get to your usual table as fast as possible, ordering your drinks while you were sitting together, chatting and laughing. You were really glad that you tagged along, especially since the live music was indeed absolutely amazing. You and your friends talked about anything; what had happened at your work places, sharing funny stories about other friends you didn't know, talking about almost anything in the world. And you were more than just grateful that they didn't question you about your past once. When you had been moving there, you had only told them that it was because of a new job offer. Of course, you missed your initial home and all the people there, but the job was worth it to resettle. You had no idea how much of that they actually believed but you didn't really feel like telling them the real reason why you packed your stuff and left. Right now the last thing you wanted to do was to think about your past, but obviously destiny had other plans for you.
You were still trapped in a funny conversation with your friends when one of them suddenly said: "Hey look at that. Aren't those some of those WWE guys?" Your heart instantly sank as your conversation dropped with your friends turning their attention to the new arrivals. You didn't want to look, didn't dare to. You prayed to anyone, who would listen, that you wouldn't see who you feared you would be seeing but it was useless. As you peeked into the direction of the entrance your heart sank even further. You had been avoiding him for the last couple of months, you made him walk out of your life, telling him that he shouldn't dare to come back in, and yet seeing Joe standing there, immediately made you feel as if your whole past, your whole home, your whole life had returned in that very moment. And it didn't hurt any less than it did before, of course it didn't. You could hear your friends discuss them and the "Oh yeah they had an event here today, I have seen the billboards before" was rather distant and yet it hit you full force. You had never considered that you could cross paths again due to a show he would be wrestling in your new hometown. Of course the possibility was there but you just hadn't thought about it. You were hoping that he wouldn't turn his attention to you as he was waiting with Dean, Seth, Braun, Bray and a bunch of other guys for a table. And although he still looked as gorgeous as ever you noticed the sad expression on his face he had covered up with a stubborn mask. To other people he might just appear cool but you knew it better. You had seen that expression before.
When you heard your friends call your name, you snapped out of your thoughts and asked puzzled: "What? I'm sorry I didn't listen." One of your friends smiled at you as she wanted to know: "They are hot, aren't they?" You shrugged your shoulders as you mumbled: "Kind of, I guess." Your friend looked at you in disbelief as she wanted to know: "Do you even watch wrestling or know them?" Of course you did, better than you wished you did but you just shook your head, hoping that none of them would notice you, with your friend sighing dramatically as she exclaimed: "Doesn't matter. There is just one thing you need to know about that group. You're seeing the guy with the tattoo over his arm, that looks like a greek god?" You had to bite your tongue. The whole situation was anything else but funny but you couldn't help but burst out laughing on the inside, knowing exactly that Joe would have pulled his most murderous face, if he had heard that comparison. Of course, he knew that he was good looking but he absolutely hated it if people reduced him to his looks only. So you just tried to keep a straight face as you said: "Yeah I do. What's with him?" Your friend giggled as she said: "That's Roman Reigns, probably the hottest guy the wrestling world has to offer. If he'd ask me to come with him you wouldn't see me around here anymore because I would be gone with him that very moment." Your friends had to laugh out loud while you shot her an annoyed look, saying: "Believe me that won't happen."
"How'd you know?", she wanted to know, crooking an eyebrow as you shrugged your shoulders. âI just assume, that's it.â, you answered as you watched the group of wrestlers head for the other side of the room, relaxing a little bit as none of them had noticed you. Y/F/N leaned over to you as he wanted to know: "Contrary to what you had just said you know him quite well, don't you? Was he the one you had asked to walk out of your life?" You must have looked as if someone smacked you right across the face as you wanted to know: "What? I mean how...? How do you know that?" You didn't want to admit it but you were taken way too much by surprise to deny it. He gave you a sad smile as he answered: "I have noticed that the heartbroken look was back the moment you saw him. If you want to leave, I can bring you home." You thought about it for a second before you shook your head, saying: "No I'm good. We're here to have a good time and this should not change that. Let's just not talk about this topic any longer." He looked at you questioningly but with a shrug of his shoulders he joined your friends' conversation again, with you following his example.
This is me And I will not be invisible, you can't keep me in control, Tonight I'm startin' again. (again, again)
(Don't think I can make it alone.)
No I will not be invisible, Shining bright like a star, I'm in control No you won't hurt me again, You won't hurt me againâŠ
You tried not to look towards Joe's direction but you couldn't help peeking here and there. While his friends seemed to have a pretty good time, he was rather quiet, not really joining their conversation but staring down at the drink in his hand, twirling the glass between his fingers. As you saw him like that you not only felt the urge to move over to him and pull him into your arms, but you couldn't help but think of all of those times those skilled fingers traced over your body, sending shivers down your spine. With all of your self-control and will you turned your attention away from him, focusing on your friends again. You didn't know how long you managed to not look at him but the next time you did, your breath instantly hitched as you found him staring at you, his face expressing the same shock you had felt the moment he entered the club so many minutes ago. You held his glare for a few seconds before you turned away, cursing yourself for feeling the way you did in that moment. You actually thought that it would have been easier by now but seeing him in person again, brought back everything that had happened. You wanted to tear up, wanted to be anywhere but here, wanted him to be gone. But you knew that you somehow would have to get through it. You tried to ignore the fact that he was there, focusing fully on your friends again. Y/F/N had noticed how shook you were hence why he engaged you in a conversation about your work and you were more than just grateful for the distraction he offered. You could feel Joe's eyes on you from time to time but you absolutely refused to return his gaze. You would not toss all your will aside now, you would not undo what had happened months ago. You had moved on and you were quite sure that he had done so as well.
Most of your friends were on the dance floor by now, leaving you and Y/F/N back at the table alone. He smiled at you as he wanted to know: "What do you say Y/N? Are you in the mood for dancing? I have to go to the bathroom first but it would be my pleasure if we hit the dance floor then." You couldn't help but chuckle. It was just so sweet how he tried to keep your thoughts occupied. You nodded your head, saying: "I would love to."
"Perfect, be right back.", he smiled at you as he got up, vanishing just seconds after. You took a deep breath before you took a sip of your drink. Y/F/N hadn't left too long ago until you heard a familiar voice, that made your blood freeze, say: "I guess you have found someone new in your life, huh?" You looked up and stared directly in Joe's eyes, that expressed pain and anger quite alike. "Wow what a nice conversation starter. I'm happy to see you as well.", you said sarcastically, trying to hide the hurt and confusion of seeing him again after all those months. He glared down at you, answering: "What do you expect? You toss me out of your life, you tell me that you don't want to see me again, you absolutely ignore me when I tried to reach out to you and then I have to hear from other people that you just moved away without saying a word. I thought we were friends." You could see how hurt he was. He tried to hide it behind a mask of anger but you knew him too well to buy it. "Joe, I really don't want to discuss any of that with you now. Go back to your friends, leave me alone with mine and just act as if this here had never happened.", you sighed with him wanting to know in disbelief: "Really? Is that all you have to say?" You shrugged your shoulders, replying: "Yeah, there's not really much more to say. Everything that had to be said, was said months ago. I hope you live a great life and I'm wishing you all the best in doing so. But I really don't feel like having a conversation with you. So just go." You had to hold yourself back from just dropping your distant appearance, to fall into his arms, to cry about anything that had happened and most of all to tell him that you still loved him more than words can say although it just wasn't meant to be.
Before he could say another word or you could give in, Y/F/N had come back, not really caring about Joe as he wanted to know from you: "You're ready Y/N?â
Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt. Take a look I won't hurt.
"As ready as I can be.", you smiled before you put your drink on the table and followed his invitation to the dance floor. You tried to ignore your former best friend and ex lover as best as possible but as you were passing by him, he grabbed your arm and leaned down to you, whispering into your ear: "Please don't walk away like that. Not again. I couldn't take it the first time and I can't take it another one." You shook your head as you whispered "I'm sorry" before you freed yourself from him, heading to the dance floor with Y/F/N, leaving Joe where he was. You had no idea to how many songs you and Y/F/N had danced to already but you had to admit that you enjoyed it. It somehow helped you to forget about Joe's presence and saved you the embarrassment from excusing yourself in order to head home. You made sure to not cross paths with him again although you were quite certain that he was still keeping his eyes on you. It came absolutely unexpected when Y/F/N suddenly leaned down to you, capturing your lips in a kiss. You were way too surprised to back away so you just let it happen, wrapping your hands around his neck out of pure reflex. You had no idea what you were doing there, given that he was a really great guy and a great friend but you were far from feeling anything else than that. Nevertheless you returned his kiss. Part of you wanted Joe to watch it, to make him suffer for having the both of you pushed over the edge just to withdraw from your relationship what felt like the very next moment. Out of the corner of your eyes you saw that he had indeed noticed what was going on and you could feel his anger and hurt radiating from him.
The next thing you remembered was that Y/F/Nâs lips were suddenly gone from your own and you were staring at Joe who had pulled Y/F/N away from you, groaning: "You should keep your hands to yourself, boy." It took you a moment to snap out of your shock before you wanted to know, your voice shaking with anger: "What the hell do you think you're doing?" He turned his attention from Y/F/N, who was way too shocked to act, to you as he took a step closer, saying: "I'm making sure that you're not making a wrong decision just like I had made sure that you hadnât made a wrong decision back then when you considered to get married." You didn't back down, quite the contrary, you stepped forward, almost touching him, as you hissed: "The only wrong decision and mistake I had made was loving you because it broke me." With that you moved passed him, mumbling an excuse in your friend's direction. You just had to get out there, had to get away from the man, that still held your heart no matter what had happened. You wanted to be alone in the safety of your four walls and just wanted to forget about this encounter. You knew that he would be gone the next day already as his job would take him into another city. You would have given anything if you hadn't let your friends convince you to come with them and therefore would have avoided this misery, but it was not possible. The only possibility you had was to get away as fast as possible and forget about it all - once again, hoping that you would be more successful this time than the last.
This is me And I will not be invisible, you can't keep me in control, Tonight I'm startin' again. (again, again)
Don't think I can make it alone
Just seconds later you left the club and headed in the direction of your apartment. You heard Joe call your name but instead of slowing down, you increased your pace. The last thing you needed now was to have to face him in the middle of the night on an almost empty street. Of course you had done that equation without him as he caught up with you within seconds, grabbing your wrist, making you stop in your tracks. You tried to break free from him but he was just spinning you around, holding you close before he kissed you with a mix of passion and despair. You tried to push him away, tried to fight him off, but he was too strong. And if you were true to yourself, you didn't really want to. You enjoyed the feeling of his lips on your own way too much as it was sending you back months ago when everything was still alright, when you loved each other and thought that you would have a future. Without intending to, you suddenly responded to his kiss, feeling as if you had returned home after a long and exhausting journey. It took you some time until your will was strong enough to free yourself from his embrace.
Both of your were breathing heavily as you stared at each other, unsure about how to act. You stiffened your shoulders but before you could say something he pleaded: "I know that you had said that you don't ever want to see me again. And I'm so sorry for all the hurt I put you through. But I'm asking you to give me a chance in order to prove to you that things have changed. I have never stopped loving you, I never could and not having you by my side is something I can't live with. Please baby girl just hear me out. Let me explain everything.â
No I will not be invisible, Shining bright like a star, I'm in control No you won't hurt me again, You won't hurt me again (again, again, again, again)
"I don't know what this should change. We have been at this point already and we crossed the point of no return. Going back there would just end in the same result and I can't do this a second time. I just can't. I'm not strong enough.", you said as you turned around, heading your initial way but Joe was not willing to give up, was not willing to lose you once again. "I don't care if I have to follow you to the end of the world until you will hear me out, baby. I'm not leaving. Not like that.", he said and as you turned around again to look at him, you could see that he was 100% serious. He wouldn't let you go like that. And although you knew that you probably would regret it, you made the decision to hear him out. Of course, it wouldn't change anything but it would help you at least to deal with the whole situation better. Or so you hoped at least. You slowly nodded your head as you mumbled, quite sure that you would probably regret it: "Okay I'm willing to listen to you explaining yourself. I'm not living far from here." And with that you turned around again, knowing damn well that he was following you. As you heard him say: "Thanks babe you won't regret it." you couldn't help but feel kind of sad, because you were sure that you would in the end.

Rihanna- We found Love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg00YEETFzg
Yellow diamonds in the light I was standing side by side As your shadow crosses mine What it takes to come alive It's the way I'm feeling, I just can't deny But I've gotta let it go
We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
âThank you for coming on a date with meâ, Joe smiled at you as he was opening the door of his car for you. You couldnât help but laugh out loud as you tiptoed in order to place a small kiss on his cheek. âAre you going to thank me now every time Iâm going out with you?â, you smiled up at him with him nodding his head happily like a boy, who had just received his favorite sweets. It was almost six months since you had met him at the wrestling event NBC made you go to. And although you were hesitant at first to go on a date with Roman Reigns, you were curious to know how respectively who the person behind the character was, at the same time. And Joe turned out to be a great guy, not only in the ring but even more so out of it. He was funny, witty, smart and he managed to make you feel like you were the only girl in the world. You already felt yourself falling for him during your first date and after your third you were already dating. And there wasnât one single day in those six months that you werenât happy having him by your side.
Sure, it was not always easy since you were basically having a long distance relationship for most of the time, but he made sure to put you on a pedestal whenever he returned home from wrestling a bunch of events. You had never been happier in your entire life as it felt that you had found in him, what you had been searching for your entire life â even without knowing it. And you knew for a fact that Joe felt the same as he had told you so after your first night together, asking you not to be freaked out by his confession. You thought that it was the cutest thing you have ever heard, especially since you had learned sooner than later in your relationship, that he never was someone to wear his heart on his sleeve so easily and that talking about his feelings was a rather huge deal for him. You never believed in love at first sight, nor did you ever believe in all of those theories about the existence of soulmates but ever since you met Joe, you were willing to accept that you might have been wrong in not believing in either of those things. During the last six months, he had not only been your boyfriend and your lover but your best friend and your safe haven quite alike. And you hoped that it would indeed stay this way for as long as you were together, hoping that this might be until the end of your life.
Shine a light through an open door Love and life I will divide Turn away 'cause I need you more Feel the heartbeat in my mind
It's the way I'm feeling, I just can't deny But I've gotta let it go We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
As you were driving in his car, he was gently holding your hand as he maneuvered the car through the traffic. âSo this date we are going onâŠâ, you started, looking at him with a bright smile before you added: âWhere does this lead us to?â You heard his deep chuckle as he answered: âNice try, baby girl, but I have already told you that itâs a surprise. And I wonât tell you in advance, even if you asked me several more times since Iâm not willing on spoiling the surprise for you.â He was right, you couldnât even tell how often you had asked him, where he would take you, ever since he had told you that you should just wear something you would feel comfortable in, while spending most of the time outside. You were already playing all possible options through your head but you just couldn't say for sure what he might have planned. So you just jumped into your favorite outfit and tagged along with him, curious as to what he had planned, but trusting him fully.
As you were watching him from the side, you couldn't really believe what kind of luck you had being with him. He was anything a guy should be: kind, honest, intelligent, hilarious. You just loved spending time with him. And you almost every time blushed, when Joe reassured you, that he was the lucky one by having you by his side. As you were peaking at him now, a warm wave of affection washed over you. You reached out to him so you could caress his cheek as you whispered: "Have you actually the slightest idea how much I love you?" Your heart flattered as you saw the smile, you loved so much, on his lips. "Probably not as much as I love you, doll.", he answered sincerely, taking your hand and kissing your knuckles gently, before he held your hand, driving you to wherever your destination was.
Just 20 minutes later he steered the car on a parking lot in front of a huge stadium. You looked at him in confusion as you asked: "Have I forgotten one of your matches, babe? Do you have to work tonight?" He had to laugh at your confusion as he replied: "No baby girl, no work. Tonight I'm all yours." And with that he pointed to a sign, making you turn your head. Your whole face lit up as soon as you've read the name of your favorite singer on that billboard sign. Anything, that had happened in the last few months, was so overwhelming for you that you didn't even realize that your favorite singer would be in town. As you turned back to Joe, he was holding up two tickets, smiling brightly at you. You couldn't even put into words how touched you were. When you have mentioned your music taste to the guys, you had been with in the past, they would listen to you but would have forgotten it in the next moment already. The fact, that Joe not only remembered but also bought you tickets, made you more emotional than you could have imagined. "Thank you so much, babe", you smiled before you leaned over to place a soft kiss on his lips. "Anytime princess", he answered before he got out of the car, walking over to your side, helping you out of it and leading you to the stadium. He knew that big crowds were not really easy for you but as soon as he promised, that he would not leave your side for just one moment, you felt more at ease, pushing all angsty thoughts aside and just enjoying, what was about to come. You knew that Joe liked your favorite singer as well, so it was even greater for you to be here with him now.
Yellow diamonds in the light I was standing side by side As your shadow crosses mine We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
As you entered the stadium, night had already washed over, giving you the feeling of anonymity as more and more people surrounded you, covering you in darkness, that was only disrupted from a few spotlights here and there, being pointed at the stage. The both of you had decided to stay in the back of the stadium, for once because the front was occupied already and even more importantly because it would help you if you were standing somewhere, where it just wasn't as crowded as further in the front, helping your anxiety to be pushed down to a minimum. Joe was hugging you from behind as your favorite singer came onto the stage about half an hour later, resting his chin on your head with you leaning into the embrace, he was offering. Just as he had promised, he didn't let go of you, not even then when the crowd around you went insane, jumping and clapping to the beat with you joining, since getting lost completely in the music always represented freedom for you. You were absolutely hyped as you were enjoying this concert to the bone, even more so since the man you loved was by your side.
When you turned around to your boyfriend, you wrapped your hands around his neck, pulling him down so he would understand you better and yelled in order to somehow make yourself heard over the loud bass: "Thank you so much for bringing me here, babe. This is absolutely incredible." Joe smiled at you, being happy himself that he was able to give you such a great surprise as he yelled back: "You're absolutely welcome, baby girl. Iâm just glad that Iâve been able to surprise you and that you apparently like it.â You nodded your head happily, as he was pulling you closer, giving you a sweet kiss before he let go of you as he realized, that the next song, that would be played next, was one of your absolute faves. You were blushing slightly since it was a rather sexual song but you couldn't help it, you just loved the beat of it. Joe gave you an amused wink before you turned around again in order to face the stage, like so many people around you.
Just seconds later, you felt your boyfriend's body pressing against yours again, making you shiver immediately, especially in combination with the track, that was currently playing. As you were singing along, you suddenly felt him push your hair out of the way, so he could kiss your neck softly, leaving little bites and licks here and there. Your breath automatically hitched and you were sure that he knew quite well what he was doing to you, since you had told him in the beginning of your relationship, that your neck was your weak spot. While his left arm was wrapped around your waist, holding you against his chest, his right hand started to wander. He was gently touching your neck before his hand went on a journey over your breasts and your belly, resting there for what felt like a little eternity, just to settle right under your belly button at the end of its journey, or so you thought at least. As you felt it moving even further down, fumbling at the button of your jeans, you drew in a sharp breath. "What are you doing?", you wanted to know, hoping that he could somehow understand you, fearing that the loud music would silence every word you had just said. "Relax baby girl, I know how that song makes you feel, let me help you", he mumbled in your ear, his breath hot against your skin. You gulped hard as you said: "We're in the middle of a concert, surrounded by I have no idea how many people, probably thousands of them. You canât do that.â
"Yeah quite a lot people, that are all focused on what is happening on stage in this very moment. Just relax Y/N and enjoy the moment. And believe me, I can do that, just watch me.â, he whispered in your ear, before he finally opened the button of your jeans and did the same with its zipper. You held your breath as you felt his hand wander into your jeans, vanishing in your panties shortly after. You tried not to make a sound but as soon as you felt his long fingers caressing your warm folds, you couldn't hold back the low moan, that was escaping your mouth. He was slowly rubbing your clit, his rough finger standing in a sharp contrast to your soft bud, finding just the right rhythm that made your breath go faster, not only due to the pace he was setting but also due to the feeling he was creating .While he kept sucking on your neck, leaving a hickey there for sure, his finger was shifting between your clit as well as your folds, dipping into your wetness, soaking his finger in it, before he returned to your clit, adding to some extra sensation while he was rubbing your really sensitive spot there, spreading your dampness all over it, probably soaking your panties and your jeans quite alike. You were leaning back further, being shielded completely by his body as he was working his wonders on you. âGod, baby, you're so wet for me", you heard him mumble in your ear as you let out another soft moan, your breath hitching shortly after as you felt him insert his index finger into your pussy before he extraordinarily slowly pulled it out, just to push it back in, finding his own rhythm, making it hard for you to suppress your whimper as you enjoyed the sweet torture of his fingers. You loved sex with him, of course you did, but you were not particularly brave enough to do it in public, especially not with thousands of people surrounding you while your favorite song was played, that already got you wet, without feeling your boyfriendâs fingers moving in and out of you.Â
We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
By now you were holding on to his arm, that was still trapped around your waist and just as he added a second finger, increasing the sensation even more, you let out a small cry before biting your lip the very next moment, hoping that no-one heard you or would be looking into your direction, figuring out what was going on between the both of you right now. Joe was moving his fingers in and out of you, changing his rhythm from slow and steady to faster and rougher, just like he used to make love to you on a regular basis. With every thrust of his fingers, you could feel that the sensation in your abdomen increased bit by bit. He noticed, that you were slowly hitting a point, where your orgasm would slowly but steadily built hence why he started moving his fingers with an increased pace, not slowing down in between like he had done before, making you moan out loud in pleasure. "You have to stop it", was the only thing you could articulate between little moans as you felt your orgasm drawing nearer and nearer. Joe knew exactly what you were hinting at, so he whispered: "No way baby girl, I won't stop midway through, leaving you hanging. I want you to come right here, right now and I want you to ride your orgasm out on my fingers, soaking me completely. Come for me sweetheart and don't care about anyone around you. Just enjoy the moment." Your breathing became heavier with every time you felt his fingers push back into you, after he had pulled them out just far enough for you to miss them, and his words, that he had been whispering so seductively into your ear, were enough to send you over the edge. You couldn't tell, how long he had been fingering you until you came all over his hand, your orgasm shaking your body while Joe involved you in a passionate kiss, muffling your cry that way.
You were still breathing heavily as you were riding out your orgasm with Joe fingering you in a slower rhythm now until he was sure that you came down completely from your high. Slowly he was pulling his fingers out of you with you already missing the feeling of him finger fucking you. He pulled his hand out off your trousers and with a sly smirk he turned you around, so you could watch him licking your juices from his fingers before he gave you a passionate kiss, that you could still taste yourself in. As he let go of you, he mumbled: "Fuck Y/N, you taste so fucking good. I wish that this concert was already over, so I could have my way with you back at home." You smiled up at him, still completely worked up. You wanted him, you wanted him bad and first and foremost you wanted him now.Â
You closed the zipper and button of your jeans before you took his hand, smiling up at him and saying: "You know what, babe? The concert was great, but right now the only thing I want is you buried deep inside of me. So let's head home and continue there, what we have started here." Joe didn't have to hear that twice, smiling down at you before leading you to the exit, so he could drive you home and give you, what you both wanted. You had no idea if someone had noticed your little adventure and even if someone did, you had to admit, that you didn't care as you enjoyed it way too much, he was right about that. And you couldn't wait for what was about to come as you knew that he would certainly make sure to keep you satisfied for the majority of the night, rocking you out just like you wanted him to.

Rihanna - Where have you been?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBxt_v0WF6Y
I've been everywhere, man                                                                             Looking for someone                                                                                      Someone who can please me Love me all night long I've been everywhere, man Looking for you, babe Looking for you, babe Searching for you, babe It was a Thursday evening and Roman was just getting ready for his match in the backstage area although he didn't really feel like working a match today. He was not exactly feeling well. Not necessarily due to health reasons but there were quite a few personal issues, that have kept him distracted for the majority of the day already. He just hoped that he was able to ban those thoughts for the next 30 minutes, so he could deliver a decent match against Cesaro without botching any moves. "Yo man, you're alright?", he suddenly heard a voice and he didn't even have to look up to know that Seth had a worried look on his face. "Yeah I'm alright, I'm alright. Just mentally preparing for the match", he mumbled. Roman was quite sure that Seth didn't buy the lie but if he was honest, he didn't even care... too many things were keeping his mind busy in that moment. Before Seth could reply anything, one of the backstage workers came to pick Roman up and lead him to one of the many doors leading to the arena, so he could get ready for his entrance through the crowd.
While making his way there, there were already a lot of fans backstage that tried to talk him up and tried to take pictures with him, but he just mumbled that he doesn't have time now as he had to get ready for his entrance. As he was waiting for his music to hit, the backstage worker signaled him that he had 10 more seconds until he would have to make his way down the stairs to the ring. Suddenly his entrance theme started playing and once he stepped into the spotlight he could not only hear the cheers but a lot of booing also. The latter one of course was nothing new and although he was always playing it cool, he had to admit that it hurt nevertheless. Who wants to get booed whenever they're working their butts off? He was glancing into the crowd, building the tension a little bit as he heard Jojo Offerman's voice introducing him with her usual words: "From Pensacola, Florida weighing 265 pounds... Roman Reigns." That was his key sentence to make his way down the stairs while a lot of the fans were reaching out their hands, either in order to fist bump him or to clap his shoulders. Once he reached the hall just metres away from the ring he stopped in front of the barricade in order to look around, protracting the moment before he would jump the barricade and move into the ring like he always did.
You just happened to have your seat next to the stairs, Â where Roman had been coming down, sitting first row ringside. You were not too keen on being here. Of course, you loved wrestling but you weren't really too fond of so many people surrounding you. However, since you were working for NBC in the marketing department and you were taking one of your business partners to the event as a costumer restraints action, you had no other choice than to be here this evening, although you would have preferred watching the event in the comfort of your own four walls. Your business partner, who was further accompanied by one of your collegues, seemed to enjoy everything about that evening so far and that was the most important thing. Not only for you, but even more so for your supervisor as well as your business relationship. As your colleague and your mutual business partner were deeply trapped in a conversation before the next match started, you let your eyes wander, realizing once again that you didn't like huge crowds.
Where have you been? 'Cause I never see you out Are you hiding from me, yeah? Somewhere in the crowd Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Where have you been? All my life, all my life
You couldn't help but feel as if someone was staring at you and when you looked to your side, your breath automatically hitched as you saw none other than Roman standing next to you, looking you up and down. He had always been one of your faves and you had to admit that the Samoan looked even better in person than on TV. His black hair was wet and falling in long waives over his shoulders, his whole body towered you, making you feel tiny while his almost black eyes captured yours, a warmth in them that you hadn't expected. First you thought you had imagined it but he was indeed winking at you before he started moving again, jumping over the barricade in one swift move before he stepped into the ring, where Cesaro was already waiting. "Wow being that beautiful should be illegal", you mumbled to yourself as Roman was raising his arms in one of the corners of the ring, showing one of his most irresistable smiles.
As Roman was waiting for his match to start, he couldn't help but glance over to you from time to time. He already had wrestled countless shows be it in NXT, FCW or in WWE and he sure as hell had met countless people and had seen countless faces. However, never had he ever had the feeling before of finally meeting someone, that he didnât even know he was searching for. When he saw you in the audience he was immediately drawn to you and he couldn't even tell why as he didn't even know your name. But it nevertheless felt as if he had unknowingly been waiting to meet you someday. He knew how dumb that sounded but that didn't wash away the feeling that he wanted to get to know you and he swore to himself that he would try to chat you up once the match was over, hoping that this was somehow possible.
As soon as the match between Roman and Cesaro started, you had to admit to yourself that the evening suddenly became less horrible for yourself. For the majority of the event the thought of  finding a good excuse to be able to head home occupied your mind. Now, however,  you actually found yourself enjoying the evening as both men were showing their signature moves in the ring, causing the audience to cheer or boo them and chanting for them. You held back on that, however, as you just weren't extroverted enough, but your colleague as well as your business partner made up for that by yelling alongside the crowd. You really didn't try to stare but you caught yourself focussing mainly on Roman before urging yourself to pay attention to Cesaro as well. As they were throwing each other through the ring, one sending the other one to the mat, the whole fight suddenly changed when they were leaving the ring, wrestling outside of it instead. They vanished on the other side for a bit, causing you to shift your eyes to one of the screens so you wouldn't miss too much of the match. You snapped back suddenly as you heard your co-worker exclaim "Holy shit" as Cesaro and Roman were moving over to your side to continue their fight there, fake slapping and pushing each other although it looked extremely real. Suddenly Cesaro came running towards Roman hitting him with an European Uppercut, sending him into the barricade right in front of you. He was just inches away, so you could have touched him, slamming against the barricade with what looked like full force before crashing to the floor.
Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? I've been everywhere, man Looking for someone Someone who can please me Love me all night long I've been everywhere, man Looking for you, babe Looking for you, babe Searching for you, babe Of course you knew that everything was staged but this action nevertheless looked extremely painful to you. The crowd errupted and you were expecting Roman to get back up to his feet any second but he didn't. Roman knew - according to the training - that he had to stay on the ground for up to a minute to increase the effect of Cesaro's attack. So he stayed in the position he was currently in, laying on the floor face down, appearing for the audience to be unconscious. As he waited for the time to pass, so he could get back up, he suddenly heard a voice asking: "I know that this is all just for show but that looked rather painful. Are you alright? If you're not allowed to move at least give me a slight thumbs up." Roman was slightly moving his head into the direction of the voice. When he peaked up lightly he could see your concerned face while you leaned over the barricade to study his silhouette.
He answered quietly so only you could hear him: "Don't worry doll, I'm alright. Just staying down here for the dramatic effect." He gave you a little smile that instantly made your heart flatter before you answered: "Good. It would be a shame if you were hurt for real." With that you smiled at him before plumeting back down to your seat, asking yourself what the hell you just did there. Roman tried to focus back on the match, trying to hide that stupid grin he had on his face since you had  talked to him. As enough time had passed he got back up and was immediately back into the match, pushing Cesaro back into the ring where he attacked him with the Samoan Drop before he speared him to the mat, pinning him and winning the match while doing so. Although there was still a lot of booing, the majority of the audience cheered for him and his victory over Cesaro. When Roman turned his attention to the audience, letting his eyes wonder, he noticed that you were clapping for him as well, making him grin on the inside like an idiot. As the match was over for good Cesaro and Roman were jumping out of the ring to make their ways around, taking some selfies with the fans and signing some stuff,  that was being held out to them. Since they were the main event with no other match to follow, they took an extra amount of time to pose for pictures in order to make as many fans as possible happy, exchanging a few sentences here and there.
Where have you been? 'Cause I never see you out Are you hiding from me, yeah? Somewhere in the crowd? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Where have you been? All my life, all my life
You were already grabbing your jacket in order to leave before the masses would storm to the exits when you reminded yourself that you weren't alone and you basically couldn't leave before respectively without your guest. "Shall we leave?", you asked in the hope that you didn't sound too desperate as you were already slightly panicking as you imagined being trapped within the huge crowd. Your colleague gave you an innocent smile as he answered: "Let's wait for a few more minutes Y/N. They aren't even done with the their round and I certainly don't want to miss out on the possibility of a picture." You tried to calm yourself by shooting a questioning look at your guest, who immediately agreed with your colleague, causing you to take a deep breath before you were sitting back down. You tried to embrace yourself for the task at hand before reassuring yourself that you could wait until the majority was gone - even though that would mean that you had to stay in the hall longer than expected- but at least you could avoid the masses there.
As you were trapped in your thoughts you didn't even realize that Roman had come over to your side, posing for a selfie with your colleague. As he was done, he was turning his attention to you, studying your face as he realized that you were paying no attention to your surroundings. He once again had to admit that you sparked his interest like noone else had done ever before. Of course talking you up in front of all thse people was not the perfect conversation starter but if he didn't want to miss that opportunity, he probably had no other choice. "Would you like to have a picture as well?", he asked, realizing in that moment how dumb and arrogant that must have sounded. As you were raising your head, he gave you a bright smile, trying to somehow safe the situation. When he saw the smile on your face he felt slightly relieved, this feeling vanishing, however, as you said: "Thank you that's really nice, but I think I'm going to pass." Roman cursed himself on the inside. That really didn't go according to plan, but he wasn't willing to give up that easily as he replied: âI guess I would have said no as well after hearing such a lame sentence.â He winked at you, causing you to blush slightly before he added:Â âBy the way, thank you for asking whether I was alright before. That happens rarely." You couldn't help but laugh as you answered: "Yeah probably because every other fan knows that it is just an act and doesn't need to be reassured due to a light panic attack." Roman had to laugh as well upon hearing your honest answer.
Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? Where have you been all my life? You can have me all you want Anyway, anyday Just show me where you are tonight Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah He held out his hand in order to introduce himself as he was saying: "The name's Joe by the way." He must have noticed your confused look as you were taking his hand in order to shake it, mumbling: "I'm Y/N" He didn't let go of your hand as he chuckled: "Don't give me that confused look, I probably still wouldn't talk to my parents nowadays if they named me Roman Reigns for real. But as a ring name it works just fine." You laughed out loud as you replied: "Yeah I can understand that. That would have been extremely mean of them indeed." Both of you didn't care too much that there were still people around you, that might have noticed by now that he gave extra attention to you. As he let go of your hand, he said: "Listen Y/N, I know this sounds pretty desperate, but you have caught my attention as soon as I stopped right next to you. Would you do me the honor of letting me invite you on a drink? I would really love to talk to you in a less crowded place." Your thoughts were racing. Was Roman Reigns really just asking you out?
I've been everywhere, man Looking for someone Someone who can please me Love me all night long I've been everywhere, man Looking for you, babe Looking for you, babe Searching for you, babe
You gulped hard as you replied: "To be honest, I don't know whether that's such a good idea." He chuckled lightly, saying: "I'm not asking you to marry me, you know? I'm just asking you to let me show you that I'm a pretty nice guy outside of the ring when I don't have to beat people up for a living." You thought about it for a little bit. You had no idea whether you would regret it at the end but with a bright smile you answered: "Sure. A drink in a less crowded place sounds great." With that Roman told you to wait for him at a certain exit before he gave you another wink as he was high fiving a few kids, that were cheering for him as he made his way out of the hall. You were not even caring that you would have to send your co-worker and your business partner off alone, being way too excited for your date ahead. âThat evening didnât seem to be so bad after allâ, you happily thought to yourself as you were making your way to the exit, waiting for the Samoan to meet you, more than just curious how the man behind the character would turn out to be in real life. You certainly couldnât wait to find out.Â

Ever wonder 'bout what he's doin', how it all turned to lies Sometimes I think that it's better to never ask why Where there is desire there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try
You couldnât really believe your ears as you turned round to your boyfriend, anger written all over your face. You were dating for a little over six months and he really had the guts to tell you right there and then that it was over. âCome again, I think I havenât heard you the first time.â, you gritted through your teeth as you were glaring at him. Joe stood on the other side of the room, his face hiding any emotion as he answered: âI think you have heard me quite well baby girl. You and me⊠Thatâs just not working, we should go our separate ways.â You didnât know what you should feel in that moment, first and foremost anger that was for sure. But you were also beyond hurt. Sure, the relationship was kind of new but it was not like you havenât known him before. And there was always something between the both of you from the moment on, he joined your circle of friends being introduced by a mutual one. You became pretty close friends yourselves and when things went to the next level after a long night out, the both of you decided to give it a try.
You knew that with him being a pro wrestler, you had to deal with the fact that he would travel for the majority of the year and that your relationship would first and foremost be a long distance one. And you also knew that it would be hard from time to time, but it wasnât that you werenât willing to try. And yet he was standing here with you now, telling you that he wanted to break up with you for whatever reasons. âOh Iâm glad that youâre realizing that now before I wasted even more of my precious time with you.â, you spat out, having to stop yourself from moving over to him in order to slap him hard. âDonât play that card on me, itâs better for the both of usâ, Joe responded, shifting his eyes away from you. You couldnât understand how he could say something like that.Â
Funny how the heart can be deceiving more than just a couple times Why do we fall in love so easy even when it's not right? Where there is desire there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try
Gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try
The last six months, that you had shared with him, were incredible. Both of you seemed to be happy with what you were having and yet he was standing there, telling you that it would be over from one moment to the next. And he didnât even have the guts to tell you why exactly. âWell if youâre of that opinion, great for you. I think youâre wrong, but you are entitled to your wrong opinion. But if you want to throw everything, that we have, out of the window, at least have the guts to tell me whyâ, you dared him as you locked your eyes with his. Joe and you might not have been dating for too long but you knew him pretty well already and you especially knew when he was lying to you. His face would darken for a second before he told you one. You were pretty sure that he wasnât aware that you have figured that out, but you were able to tell. As he told you that he had met someone and felt attracted to her, you instantly knew that it was a lie because you had seen the signs on his face.
You were moving closer to him as you said loud and clearly: âHow about we try that again? But this time you donât fucking lie to me. You want to break up? Fine... But at least give me the real reason you want to end it at this point.â Joe looked at you with his eyebrow crooked, wanting to know: âWhat are you fucking talking about? You wanted a reason, I have given you one.â By now you were standing right in front of him, peeking up at his face as you hissed: âListen Joe, donât play dumb with me. We might be dating for just a little over six months, but you seem to forget that I have known you before. You might not know or realize it, but Iâm quite able to tell when you are lying to me, especially when you are lying straight to my face. You want to go separate ways? It fucking hurts but if thatâs what you want, I canât force you to stay with me. But if I mean at least something to you, Iâm asking you to have the guts and tell me the real reason why you want to leave me.â You could see that he was taken by surprise by your words. Joe was taking his time and just as you thought he wouldnât answer you at all, he explained: âI want to end it because it is better for the both of us, better for you.â
âHow could it possibly be better for me if the only person, I want to be with, tells me that itâs over?â, you snapped, not believing your ears. You were way too overwhelmed by disbelief and anger to even shed a tear. You could tell that he was struggling with giving you a good explanation but when he continued, you at least knew that he was telling the truth this time. He took a deep breath before he said: âListen Y/N , I love you, I really do. But this here is just not fair to you. You deserve to be with someone, who can be there for you whenever you need him, someone, who comes home to you every evening and not every two weeks for a day or two, someone, who will hold you while youâre falling asleep and kiss you awake when you wake up. And I just canât be that someone.â You could hear the pain in his voice but that didnât really lessen your anger. âWoah stop it right hereâ, you interrupted him, wanting to know: âStop it and rewind. Youâre really breaking up with me right now because you think youâre doing something good for me? Arenât you of the opinion that I should be allowed to fucking decide on my own what exactly I need? Because I can assure you, I know it quite well and itâs certainly not someone being constantly attached to my butt.â Ever worry that it might be ruined, and does it make you wanna cry? When you're out there doing what you're doing, are you just getting by? Tell me, are you just getting by, by, by? Where there is desire there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try
By now you were pacing around in front of him like a tiger that was held behind bars. âI just want you to be happyâ, Joe mentioned louder than he wanted to. You stopped in your tracks, turning back at him, yelling at him: âOh you want me to be happy? Really? If you wanted me to be happy, you wouldnât even think about ending this relationship. If you wanted me to be happy and you really loved me, you would at least be willing to try. Sure it could fail, sure we can crash and burn but for fuckâs sake Joe, itâs not like weâre gonna die.â
You could see how the Samoanâs emotions had the worst of him as he yelled back at you: âDamn it Y/N, I just canât give you what you might need. Maybe not right now but in the future. I love you, god knows how much I do, but you deserve so much more than I can ever be.â You had enough⊠If he really was of that opinion, fine. Thereâs nothing you could do against it if he wanted to believe the lies he kept telling himself. It would hurt, you probably would break on the inside but if he wanted to leave you and your shared life behind, then he had to do so. âOkay, you want it to end. Letâs end it here. I sure as hell wonât spend my time convincing you that you are all I could have ever asked for. If you think that walking away will solve the problem, feel free to do so. You know where the door is, lead yourself out.â, you spat out before you turned around and left the room, slamming the door behind you.
As soon as you were out of the room, tears were falling down your face as you headed for your bedroom. Right now you felt like crap and you didnât want to do anything else but fall down on your bed, crying your eyes out. You hoped that Joe would be gone by then, because seeing him again would make it even worse. You couldnât understand how he could give up everything you had, how he could let you go, how he wouldnât even want to try to make it work. You had not given him a reason once that might have led him to believe that he wasnât enough for you or that you demanded more than he was able to give you, because it was enough for you. It was perfect the way it was.
Being trapped completely in your emotions you havenât even noticed that Joe was following you instead of leaving as you had suggested. Just as you were turning around to close the door behind you in order to lock it, locking anything and anyone out for good, you were staring at the broad figure of your boyfriend. You wanted to tell him to fuck off, wanted to tell him to just leave you alone as you already felt his hands on your hips as he was pushing you back to the bed, you losing your balance, landing on the soft mattress. âWhat the hell?â, you explained while tears were still falling from your eyes.
Joe didnât even leave you any time to process what was happening as he was drawing nearer, climbing on the bed, making you crawl away from him as you were still hurt. With one swift move he was hovering over you, pinning you to the mattress with his whole body before he whipped away your tears. Before you were able to say one single world, he stopped you effectively by kissing you with all the desperation he was feeling. You wanted to yell at him, wanted him to get out right away, but you couldnât. Instead you were responding to his kiss, pulling him closer, roaming his back with your hands. You died a little on the inside when you thought about the fact that he really wanted to go away, not willing to try.
Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try
As he broke the kiss, he studied your face, not saying a word for what seemed to be an eternity but tracing your jawline with his fingertips instead, while you were searching for an answer in his eyes as to what all of that meant. âIâve been an asshole and Iâm sorry for that.â, he finally said as he locked eyes with you, tracing his fingertips over your lips that were red from his attack before. âYou donât sayâ, you mumbled, your voice still heavy from different facets of emotions. He took a deep breath as he continued: âNo, Iâm really sorry baby girl. I donât want to go, I donât want this â us â to be over. But I also donât want to be the reason you have to live a life of surrender.â
You looked at him and could see the honesty in his eyes. He really feared that you would be missing out on a life, you didnât even want to have. All you wanted was to be with him and if that meant having to wait for him until he had his days off, staying in contact through phone and skype primarily, then this was absolutely fine for you. You reached up to touch his stubbly cheek as you whispered: âIâm not living a life of surrender. I have you by my side and that is all that Iâm asking for. But that means that we have to try to make it work.â He nodded his head as he said: âThatâs the least I can do⊠try. I love you baby and I really donât want to lose you. But I will never get rid off the feeling thinking that it just might not be enough for you.â You gave him a sad smile as you answered: âIt will be enough just take my word for granted on that.â With that you pulled his head closer, kissing him again, hoping that he would understand. In the end there was only one thing you needed â and that was him.

Scratch Bite Choke Scream SongFic - Roman Reigns x Reader
Note: I just want to say in advance that I didnât respectively donât believe anything about that so called steroid scandal. But it just made a good preamble for angry sex. ;-)
Summary: Joe had been suspended for 60 days since evidence was presented that he knew that drug dealer, that claimed that he was one of his clients. As a ring announcer for WWE you traveled with your boyfriend from town to town and hearing about his suspension makes you angrier than it should - primarily because it showed you, that he didnât trust you the way he should. As you kept arguing back and forth on your way home after tonightâs event, anger took over as soon as you were at home. The both of you soon find yourselves in getting rid off all tension in a special kind of anger management.Â
Warnings: angry smut
Pairing: Joe Anoaâi x Reader
Tha Empire - Scratch Bite Choke Scream
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcxQx416enA
I just wanna love you I just wanna fuck you I just wanna love you (!!!)
I want you to scratch, bite, choke, scream Let me make you fuckinâ cream I love you, you love me I want you to fuck me
You were fuming as you were sitting in the passengerâs seat right now. You couldnât even say why you felt so betrayed but you definitely did. You actually thought that after years of being in a relationship with him, he would at least be honest to you. Of course it was not your problem and you didnât have to live with the consequences in the first place but that didnât mean that you werenât beyond mad of how everything had went.
You were already at the hall, where todayâs wrestling match would take place, getting dressed as you were working as ring announcer for the WWE when your boyfriend came in, obviously fuming. You knew that he was asked to have a little conversation with the WWE managers but you didnât think too much of it since changes at short notice with regard to scripts or matches were nothing too uncommon as one of the wrestlers could always get sick or hurt, not being able to get into the ring that night, forcing everyone to somehow adjust to the new circumstances. So you just shrugged it off when they asked him to come with them for a few minutes. As you were studying todayâs match plan you sighed, knowing that it would be a long evening with several matches to come. You always loved the energy at wrestling shows but you had to admit that you were more than glad that you were just announcing the matches and werenât wrestling yourself. However, working for WWE was the best thing that had ever happened to you - not only because you got the chance to work in a field that always interested you but also because it gave you the chance to meet the guy, you would fall in love just a few months later with.
As you read Romanâs name on the match list you smiled to yourself. You were attracted to the man behind the character from the first moment you had seen him and when Joe asked you out you agreed right away. Years had passed since your first date and your were going strong ever since. By now you were sharing a home and you knew that you could trust him, just like he could trust you. At least you thought that he did. That, however, changed as he entered the room, his face showing an angry expression. You looked up at him in question, wanting to know: âWhatâs wrong babe? Did they tell you that you have to lose tonightâs match?â He just shot you a deathly glare, before he took his gear, that he had placed on a chair as he wanted to change clothes before he got called, and tossed it back into his bag. You crooked an eyebrow, turning your full attention to him as you asked: âWhat are you doing? I know that youâre set for the last match of the evening but shouldnât you get dressed now nevertheless?â He mumbled something that you couldnât understand and as you asked him to repeat what he had just said, Joe glared at you and groaned: âI said that I donât have to change into my gear. Iâm off the card. Not only for tonightâs match but for the next 60 days.â You looked at him in disbelief, not trusting your ears. âWhat? Why are you pulled from the shows for the next 60 days?â, you inquired just as it hit you. âThe rumors about the steroid scandal? You had promised that they were untrue.â
Joe gritted through his teeth: âThey are untrue.â You had enough of his one syllable answers as you let go of your match plan, moving over to him, crossing your arms in front of your chest and looking up into your boyfriendâs face, who was towering you. âIf they were untrue they wouldnât pull you from any of the shows. Not given your status around here. So how about you stop playing dumb with me and tell me the truth? I actually thought you would trust me enough to know that you can be honest with me.â Joe was beyond angry as he groaned: âMy god Y/N, stop being a fucking pain in the ass. Thatâs the least thing I can use now. Whatever evidence that dealer has, it leads back to the adderall case I had been fined for over a year ago.â
âThey wouldnât send you off for violating the wellness policy if they hadnât real concern to do so.â, you snapped with Joe shooting back: âThey arenât particularly removing me for violating the wellness policy but more  so for having claimed that I donât know the dude although I did. They basically see it as a punishment for lying or however they call it.â You didnât trust your ears as you exclaimed: âWell you indeed promised that you didnât know the guy.â He shrugged his shoulders as he answered: âWell letâs just say that I havenât been absolutely honest there.â You could feel anger boiling inside of you and just as you wanted to snap back the door opened and one of the production assistants told you that they would need you to announce the first match. You shot a deathly glare at your boyfriend, hissing: âSince we drove here together, you either sit here for hours until Iâm done with my job or you drive home and pick me up later because I sure as hell wonât take a taxi just because you thought that you had to fuck up.â With that you smashed the door behind you, leaving Joe back, who was dropping down on a chair, cursing himself.
Approximately three hours later you were done with announcing the last match of the evening, the one that had to be changed due to Roman Reigns being crossed off the card, so you headed back for your locker room. Your anger hadnât decreased in the meantime and you even felt it rising once again as you entered the room and saw your man sitting there. You didnât even bother to look at him as you tossed your high heels into your bag, changing into more comfortable clothes and grabbing your bag. Â As you headed for the door, you heard his deep voice behind you, asking: âYouâre going to ignore me for the rest of the night baby girl?â You didnât even bother looking at him as you made your way out of the locker room, groaning: âIâm going to ignore you for the rest of your life if you donât shut it.â You really werenât in the mood for stupid games right now. Once you reached the car, you waited that he would unlock it so you could jump on the passengerâs seat. You had been driving for almost 20 minutes, another 20 minutes lying in front of you as tonightâs event took place in your hometown and neither of you was willing to break the tensed silence, that laid heavy over you. âYou know that sooner or later you have to talk to me again, donât you?â, Joe asked as you replied icy: âIn that case I go with later.â With that you went back to ignoring him. As you were sure that he was focused on the street you shot him a short look, seeing how his jawline tensed again and again, telling you that he was boiling on the inside but so were you.
Another 20 minutes later you reached your home and while Joe was still busy with locking the car you already headed for the front door, pushing past him before you got into your home while he was following shortly after. You could hear the door being slammed shut as you turned around, shooting him a deathly glare and hissing: âThe door is not responsible for you being an asshole. So how about you shut it with more feeling instead of damaging it.â He tossed his bag into the next best corner as he wanted to know, his whole body tensed with fury: âWhat is your fucking problem? Itâs not like you have been suspended for 60 days without payment. Itâs not like any of this concerns you. So why donât you just act like none of that is any of your fucking business, because - quite frankly - it isnât. Us being together doesnât give you the right of making a fuss about things that donât fucking concern you.â You didnât believe your ears as you shot back: âThings, that donât fucking concern me? Do you actually have any clue why Iâm so mad at you?â Before he could answer, you added: âI donât give a fuck about you being suspended for 60 days. That is your own fault and you have to deal with it. Itâs not my problem at all how your standing in that company is now, what you are going to do during those two months while you are forbidden to do what you love. So yes, that is none of my concern and that is nothing Iâm angry about. But what pisses me off big time is that you lied. I donât care whether you lie to Vince, I donât care whether you lie to any other person in the management team or whether you lie to any other of the wrestlers, but I do fucking care that you lied to me. We had talked about this, I have asked you whether you knew him and you told me straight to my face that you didnât. This is what makes me mad and this is my fucking business whether you want to accept it or not.â
Either he didnât understand you or he didnât want to but all he said, was: âSo I lied to you. Big deal⊠Iâm sorry for that but I donât understand the huge drama youâre making out of it.â His voice had a mixed tone of annoyance, anger and danger by now. Your own voice was increasing as you shot back: âI canât believe that you just said that. But let me explain it for your limited means. You fucking lying to me tells me that you donât fucking trust me. And I thought that I had proven more than once that I would always have your back no matter what. And yet in a situation like that, where this whole scandal could break your neck and cause serious damage to your career, maybe even ending it, you think that it is absolutely okay to lie to me, to tell me that nothing of that was true albeit it was. Telling me the truth wouldnât have hurt you, it wouldnât have resulted in me not having your back but it would have meant that you trust me enough to be honest with me, to open up to me, to show me that you are willing to rely on me. Right now I just feel betrayed whether you want to understand it or not.â Joe just shook his head. On the one hand he understood where you were coming from but on the other he just watched his life take a turn for the worst as he was not allowed to step into a wrestling ring anymore for the next 2 months and the last thing he needed right now was taking care of your feelings. He knew that it was mean but he was way too pissed at himself to somehow think and act correctly.  Instead he just groaned: âStop acting like a fucking bitch, there is no reason for that. Youâre making a huge fuss out of nothing. I know that I havenât told you the truth but itâs not like it hurt you.â You had enough as you yelled: âWow look at you, you are a fucking huge lying piece of crap. How about you go and fuck yourself?!â
With that you turned round and headed up the staircase, anger radiating from every inch of your body. You knew that he didnât mean it the way he was saying it and you knew that he was more furious with himself than with anybody else but he could have just saved the whole situation by telling you that he was sorry, that he wasnât honest with you and quite frankly by meaning it that way. And you also knew that you were not fair to him but you were torn between feeling sorry for him with regard to the consequences he was facing and by feeling betrayed by his actions. You could hear him stomping up the stairs behind you as you heard his deep voice, that was dripping with anger, giving him a dangerous tone: âDonât you fucking dare to talk to me like that and donât you fucking dare either to just walk away.â Instead of responding you just flipped him the bird and continued your way. You were fuming and although you were always up for a good fight, right now it just annoyed you.
As you reached the door to your bedroom, you opened it and stepped inside, turning around, staring right into Joeâs angry face as you hissed: âYou can sleep on the fucking couch tonight.â He crooked an eyebrow and just as you wanted to shut the door right in front of him, he kept it open by pushing against it, groaning: âI donât think so sweetheart. You want to make a huge fuss about nothing, then at least have the courage to discuss it.â
Start with a little bit of teasing Then we move to the pleasing Lay you down on the bed, start the sexual healing
Touch, rub, bite, lick Iâll suck your clit if you suck my woo Touch my body, molest my body Bite me, choke me Thereâs no stopping
âThe last thing I feel like doing now is discussing shit with you. Fuck off asshole.â, you spat out but he was not willing to do you that favor. Instead he took a step closer, towering you completely, before he leaned down to you, murmuring, his voice sharper than you had ever heard it before: âIf I were you, I would stop talking to me like that. Iâm absolutely in no mood to bear with your attitude right now, baby girl.â You shot him a deathly glare, not really able to say whom of you felt more anger in that moment. As you wanted to turn around, he grabbed your wrist, keeping you in place. He didnât even care whether his grip was too fierce and you hated to admit it but the sudden pain that rushed through your arm kind of turned you on a way it shouldnât. By the look he was giving you, you could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing. Â That, however, didnât mean that you would just stand there and let him take over action. You pulled your arm, tried to escape his grip but that only led to him tightening it. âLet go off meâ ,you gritted through your teeth with Joe giving you a sly smirk as he wanted to know: âOr you are going to do what exactly sweetheart?â You gave him a cold stare as you mumbled: âIâm really not in the mood for your dumb games.â He stepped closer, his chest just inches away from your face as you heard him say: â You better are baby girl. If there is one thing I canât stand, itâs you treating me the way you do right now. And Iâm not willing to let it drop that easily, no matter how much right you think you have to be mad at me. And let me tell you that Iâm not really in the state of mind where Iâm just shrugging it off. You want to be pissed, fine. But after all that had happened tonight, Iâm not willing to go to sleep as if nothing had happened. So we better start discussing the whole thing now and I donât care whether we do so by words or actions.â
âYou know what Joe? Fuck youâŠâ
âNo baby girl if anything it should be fuck me.â With that he leaned down to you, crashing his lips on yours, kissing you with all the anger he was feeling right now. You tried to push him away with all the force you could bring up but it had barely any effect on him, his 265 pound body didnât move one inch, only increasing your own anger as you tried to fight him off. The only result you got, however, was him putting an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, leaving you no room to escape as his lips continued their assault on yours. You didnât want to, you really didnât, but you couldnât avoid the betrayal of your body as your lips parted to let out that moan, that so desperately wanted to escape while Joe took advantage of it, slipping his tongue into your mouth, dominating you right away. You knew what was about to come and you would have lied if you didnât anticipate it. Sex with him was always great, especially when it went a little tougher than it should. No matter how gentle he could be, you had learned pretty soon in your relationship that both of you were willing to push your boundaries and that the best outlet you had, for getting rid off your frustrations, was an equal amount of angry and make up sex. Both of you knew how far you could go to make it pleasurable for the both of you and no matter how much you sometimes hated it, that you would deal with heated arguments with actions rather than with words, most of the time you knew that you would go back to your normal selves right afterwards, after all of that anger and aggression had been literally fucked away.
As your broke apart you could see that his lips were reddened and you were pretty sure that your own looked the same. Joe was staring down at you, his eyes beyond wild and dangerous but you were not willing to back off, not willing to look away first. You had your pride, you were still mad and a mind-blowing kiss wouldnât change that, especially not if you felt like slapping him over and over again. âI said it before and I will say it again. Go and fuck yourselfâ, you groaned, knowing exactly that you would only get him worked up even more as his hand snapped forward, grabbing your throat, before you could feel his lips on your neck, forcefully sucking on the sensitive skin there before he bit you there, making you moan in pain and pleasure quite alike. You were sure that he left a huge hickey there, that the make up assistant would have to cover up before your next announcing job. You were hitting against his broad chest, knowing exactly that he didnât even care one bit.
As he let go of your neck, he groaned in your ear, his hot breath caressing it, sending shivers down your spine: âI have already told you that it is fuck me and not fuck you, baby girl.â With that he grabbed your shirt, easily ripping it in half, exposing your bare chest. You knew that it was senseless playing hard to get, your whole body was already anticipating feeling his hands roaming you and yet you were not willing to give in that easily hence why you reached out to his pants, grabbing him firmly through his fabric, making him draw in a sharp breath as you tightened your grip, hissing: âI am not your punching bag and Iâm not your fucktoy. You donât make the rules around here. If you want to fuck me, you will ask nicely, got it?â You knew that in the end it would be an equal dominance you had over each other but seeing his face displaying desire, anger and pain quite alike, turned you on more than you wanted to admit. Before you could say another word, he was leaning down to you, biting in one of your nipples while squeezing your other breast hard, making you scream more due to surprise than due to actual pain. You automatically let go of him, grabbing his shoulders instantly to steady yourself as this devilish tongue of his flicked over your nipples and your breasts quite alike, followed by his teeth that left bites here and there.
Now rub my cock on the tip of your clit If you show me all you can do with those lips Show me those tits and I promise I wonât bite Unless you prefer it, baby alright.
Spread those legs and just relax I promise the pleasure and thatâs a fact After weâre done, weâll cuddle and then, We will start to fuck again
Suddenly he was towering you again and with one swift move he was tossing you onto the bed, causing you to stare up at him as he got out of his shirt, tossing it to the floor, with the rest of his clothes following shortly after. You only had seconds to take in the sight in front of you, his broad chest, the huge tattoo, his defined muscles, his dick that was already rock hard for you. Out of reflex you licked your lips, knowing exactly how good he tasted and that you could turn him into a begging mess whenever your lips worked wonders on his dick, but before you could act on any of that, he was crawling over you, getting you out of your shorts in what felt like seconds, tossing them to the pile on the floor. Joe was pinning you down into the mattress, his whole weight resting over you as his deep voice groaned in your ear: âI want you to choke, bite, scratch, scream baby girl. You have pissed me off big time and you will make that right by being a good girl now.â Anger was written all over your face as you hissed: âDonât ridicule yourself. You have no right to be mad whatsoever. It is you that has fucked up big time. And now get away from me because you still piss me off.â You knew the effect your words had on him and you liked to play it to their full extent. The truth was, you couldnât wait until he would fuck you rough so you could get rid off your anger and you knew that he was feeling the same way.
He shot you one last deathly glare before he left the bed, sinking on his knees in front of it, pulling you closer, placing your legs on each side of his shoulders. You were struggling to get away from him but he was too strong. And you pretty much gave up your efforts as soon as you felt his tongue drawing circles around your clit, before he started licking your wet folds, making you moan not only in pleasure but in frustration quite alike as he wouldnât spend enough time in one spot to give you a chance of adjusting to his licking and sucking, making it impossible for any sensation to build. Just as he had found the perfect spot, he would flick his tongue elsewhere, making you angrier than you had been before. You could hear his deep voice as he was asking: âIs there any problem sweetheart?â before he would take one long lick through your folds up to your bud in order to suck there for what felt like mili seconds before he pulled away again. âFuck youâ, you groaned, moving under his tight grip, trying to somehow get his tongue to the point where you needed it most. Joe must have realized what you had in mind because suddenly he was pulling back completely and the next moment he was pushing two of his long fingers inside you, moving them in a rapid rhythm as you screamed out in frustration. He knew exactly what he was doing to you and you could tell that he enjoyed every second of it, making you pay for your behavior towards him. You knew that two were able to play that game and you looked forward to the moment when it would be your turn. You tried to move under his assault but while his fingers did the talking his muscled arm held you down, making it almost impossible for you to move. âYou know that I can go on like that for hours baby, donât you? Of course itâs not easy for me not fucking you the way you deserve it right now but seeing the agony you are in increases the pleasure Iâm feeling while seeing you like that.â ,he groaned and as you looked down to him, you saw the devilish smile on his face as he was eyeing you. âFuck you Joe, seriously, fuck youâ , you breathed hard throughout moans as he increased his pace, pushing his fingers even deeper into you than just seconds before as he groaned: âIt still is fuck me. And you better start begging for me to do so, otherwise Iâm keeping up that sweet torture for the rest of the night.â
I want you to scratch, bite, choke, scream Let me make you fucking cream I love you, you love me I want you to fuck me
You wanted to curse him out but your heavy breathing prevented you from doing so as you felt your climax drawing nearer. Joe has noticed the change in you, the little satisfied expression on your face telling him that you were about to come but he was not willing to give you that satisfaction. He knew that your walls would clench around his fingers if he kept going the way he did currently, but he was not content with letting you off the hook that easily. He pushed them one last time in you, going even deeper than before but pulled them out completely as he knew that you were almost welcoming your release. You looked at him with fury in your eyes as you cursed at him loudly but he just shook his head as he got up, placing one knee next to you while he positioned his other one between your legs, adding some force to it and pushing you up further on the bed while your juices ran over his knee. He grabbed your neck, making you look at him as he lifted your head, placing his fingers on your lips, muttering: âYou better lick them clean sweetheart.â You were giving him a deadly look but did nevertheless what you were told as you took in your own taste. You used that moment of him being completely focused on you, as you reached out for his dick, gripping it tightly as you applied extra pressure on the tip of his head. You could see that his breath hitched and with a sadistic smile on your lips, you whispered: â Donât you dare to think that you have me, where you want me. I know exactly how to push your buttons, I know exactly how to suck you off until you are begging to be allowed to be in me, and I know exactly how to turn you into a complete mess. And at the end of the day it will be you that will beg me to fuck you.â He bit his lip, listening closely to everything you were saying and he knew that you were damn right. But right now his anger gave him new energy and no matter how good it felt as your hand was moving up and down his cock, finding just the right rhythm to push him close to the edge, he was determined to keep the dominance in your little game of who would give in earlier.
He grabbed your wrist and by applying some extra pressure to it, he forced you to let go of his dick although he wouldnât have minded to feel your tongue doing some extra work there. He looked at you, anger combined with lust all written over his face as he made you crawl completely on the bed under him while he was hovering over you. âSay itâ, he demanded as he roamed your breasts, squeezing your nipples hard once he reached them before his hand traveled further to your throat. You locked eyes with him as you spat out: âFuck you.â Joe spread your legs the same moment as he was tightening his grip around your throat, leaning down to you, muttering: âIâm pretty sure that we had already discussed that itâs the wrong phrase. Come on Y/N, I know that you can do better. Say it.â
âBite meâ, you exhaled, drawing a sly smirk from his lips as he leaned down further, attacking the sensitive skin on your neck, that was already bruised from his first assault, making you moan once again. As he licked over the skin under your ear, he mumbled: âI think that weâre slowly getting there.â While his grip was tight around your neck, slightly choking you, you had your troubles not just giving in. You really tried as you pushed his head away from your neck only to be rewarded with another sadistic smirk before his lips landed on yours once again, kissing you roughly. You dug your nails into his shoulders, enjoying the muffled sound he was making as your nails left visible marks in his skin. As you broke apart both of you were staring at each otherâs eyes, your anger slowly decreasing just to be replaced by passion. âOnce again sweetheart, say it.â
âYou really need to hear that before taking full action, donât you?â
âOf course, I just want to make sure that youâre content with it. No matter how angry we are, I sure as hell wouldnât hurt you or do anything that you wouldnât want me to do.â No matter how pissed you were just a few moments ago, it was situations like this, where you realized, how much you loved that man hovering over you. You were attacking his lips in another rough kiss, before you exclaimed: âFuck me. And you better do it rough."Â
Joe didnât need to be told twice as he increased the chokehold around your neck, pushing himself inside of you in one swift move, making you moan out in pleasure due to the sudden sensation. Contrary to all of those times he would be gentle to you, he didnât give you time to adjust to his dick filling you up as he already started moving, pulling out of you almost completely before pushing back into you with one hard and deep thrust. His free hand grabbed one of your breasts, squeezing it roughly while he was fucking you as rough as you wanted him to. You tried to meet his thrusts as best as possible, increasing the sensation for the both of you while your sweaty bodies were grinding against each other, your pussy welcoming and taking in every inch he had to over. You could have reached out for him, could have tried to cause him some pain in doing so, but if you were honest you enjoyed being fucked hard way too much than to take action on your own. "Are we at a point now, where you are willing to accept, that you wonât treat me again the way you had done before?â, Joe wanted to know, his breathing heavy as he pounded in and out of you at an ever increasing pace. You had your troubles answering as you were screaming out in pain and pleasure quite alike. You had to admit that the both of you had reached a complete new level of angry sex - one you had never been on before. âNot even close.â, you spat out as soon as you trusted your voice.
Thereâs this time, when uh, we was having sex, right? And you told me not to cum But then we started fucking, vibrating your hips and fucking, movinâ all around and shit Like, how the fuck do you not cum?
If you⊠how the fuck do you not cum if you make that shit happen? Iâm just trying to say, there was other times when you was givinâ me head and you told me not to cum, how the fuck do you not cum if you gettinâ head? what the fuck? Thatâs like telling a fucking baby not to fucking suck on a bottle if it has milk inside I donât give a fuck, Iâm gonna fucking cum!!
He let out a growl, that somehow reminded you of a wild animal, as he tightened his grip even more and you couldnât say whether him choking you, him grabbing your breast harshly or him fucking you as roughly as he currently did, gave you the most pleasure. He went on like that for quite some time, slowing down in his pace every now and then before picking it up once again, always making sure that he wouldnât give you the satisfaction of being able to come. He slammed into you hard, drawing moans and screams from you quite alike and slowly but steadily you felt your orgasm building up. Joe, however, knew you too well, knew that you were close to stumbling over the edge and he was not willing to let you by any means. He slammed into you once again before he pulled out of you completely, making you scream in frustration as he pulled back his hand from your throat in order to place it on your other breast, squeezing both of them roughly before he leaned down, sucking and biting on your nipples harder than ever before. You screamed out in pleasure, deciding that he had control over you for longer than necessary and as two could play that game of special anger management you were of the opinion that it was only fair if it was your turn now.
He obviously didnât expect you to take action but you suddenly grabbed his face, kissing him hard until his lips were slightly red and swollen, equalling your own. With all of the force you could bring up, you tossed him to the side but all you were rewarded with was an crooked eyebrow. âGet on your fucking backâ, you groaned with him smirking at you, saying: âI thought that I had already told you that sucking on my dick was off the table for tonightâ You shot him a deathly glare as you hissed: âJust do what you had been told for fuckâs sake.â He just shrugged his shoulders and followed your order, way too curious what you were about to do. Just as he laid down, you climbed onto his lap, locking eyes with him before you sank down on him, taking him all in. You didnât care about his âOh fuckâ as you started to buck your hips, moving and grinding, riding him as hard as you wanted to. It felt good taking control, paying him back for everything he had done, releasing your anger bit by bit on him. It was your turn now to fuck him, to have him trembling under you, to drive him right to the edge only to leave him hanging there. He moaned out loud as you took what you wanted, as you claimed him, as your hips rocked back and forth and you would lift up just enough so only the tip of his dick would still be in you before you would sink down all the way again and again. He was digging his fingers into your hips and you were sure that by tomorrow you would see visible marks there as well. You loved the sounds he was making, those low growls as you were fucking him, your fingernails scratching over his chest until your marks were visible, not only on his chest but his arms and his stomach quite alike.
âTell me that youâre sorry for not being honest with meâ, you groaned as you were moving away from him just to sink down on him again and again. Joe increased the grip around your hips as he muttered: âYou have a long way to go to make me apologize, baby girl.â You didnât have to hear that twice as you were picking up your pace, riding him even harder, making him moan out in pleasure. Just as you felt the slight twitching of his dick as your walls clenched around him, you moved up one last time, making him groan in frustration as you left his dick before he could reach his orgasm.âAre we going on like that for the rest of the night?â, you groaned and although he was beyond pissed that you would leave him hanging like that, you heard the slightly amused tone in his voice as he replied: âIf we have to.â With that he was moving over, eyeing you for a certain amount of time before he grabbed your waist and turned you around so you were lying on the bed on your belly and he was on top of you, your legs spread to either side of your body, giving him easy access as he pushed himself into you from behind, holding you down with his whole weight, pounding into you while reaching that sweet spot again and again as you gave him the deepest angle lying on the bed like you did. You were burying your face in the pillow, not willing to show him how much you were enjoying it, trying your best to stop your body from wanting to meet his thrusts.
Suddenly he stopped and pulled out of you. Just as you wanted to ask what his fucking problem was, you heard his deep voice groan: âGet on your damn knees, baby girl.â You peeked over your shoulder and saw that âNoâ was nothing he would accept as an answer. You gulped hard as you were welcoming the thought of him taking you roughly from behind, so before he could repeat it, you were on your knees and arms already. âGood girlâ, he smirked at you as you groaned: âYou better make sure that Iâm not able to walk tomorrow anymore.â
I want you to scratch, bite, choke, scream Let me make you fuckinâ cream I love you, you love me I want you to fuck me
"You can bet on thatâ, he muttered as he slid into you from behind, fucking you even harder as he had done before. You moaned out in pleasure as you fisted your hands in the sheets, holding on to them for dear life as he almost pushed out of you completely just to slam back into you before he could do so. With one hand he grabbed your waist, holding you in place while he was fucking you roughly from behind, while his other grabbed your hair, pulling on them, exposing your throat as you were moaning in pleasure. He was finding a steady pace, one that would push you closer to the edge bit by bit and just from the sloppy rhythm, he showed here and there, you could tell that he was having a hard time holding back as well. Since one of you had to be the mature one, you said while breathing heavily: âHow about I apologize for having overreacted while you apologize for not having been honest in the first place? As much as I love you fucking me rough in all different kinds of positions Iâm not quite sure how much longer I can get without finally coming. Iâm even willing to beg now.â
You felt how Joe was sitting down on his knees, pulling you with him, not willing to pull out of you as he made you sit on his lap so you could ride him reversed style as he cupped your breasts from behind, placing a soft kiss on your neck before he groaned: âI have no objection to that baby girl. To be honest I couldnât go much longer like that myself.â You continued to ride him for a couple of moments until you could feel the heat building up, making your movement rather sloppy. You were breathing harder and you felt how your walls clenched around his dick before you screamed out in pleasure, yelling his name, Â your orgasm washing over you as he shot his hot load into you just moments after, holding you tight to his body while he was kissing your back gently, both of you almost out of breath. You stayed like that for several more minutes until he let go of you.
I want you to scratch, bite, choke, scream Let me make you fucking cream I love you, you love me I want you to fuck me
I just wanna love you I just wanna fuck you I just wanna love you (!!)
You crawled from his lap and laid down on the bed, still breathing heavy as you felt a strong arm pulling you closer, before a blanket covered your body. You snuggled closer to your boyfriend while he pulled you close to his body, softly trailing his hands over your side. As you looked up at his face you saw that all of the anger had vanished and you were quite sure that yours had done so as well. It took a few minutes until he said: âIâm really sorry for not having told you in the first place. I know that I should have. I do trust you with all my heart, but I just couldnât. I didnât want to disappoint you and to be honest, I was embarrassed that this damn mistake, I had made one year ago, would come around once again. I didnât want you to think that Iâm a failure.â You looked up into his face, knowing that he was telling the truth. You gently cupped his cheek as your thumb caressed his jawline, whispering: âI could never think of you as a failure. And I would have had your back for the whole time. All of that situation doesnât change who you are and I know that you wouldnât make the same mistake twice. I know that I have overreacted and Iâm sorry for that. But it did hurt me, thinking that you wouldnât trust me enough to be open about that topic.â
âDo you think we can just forget it?â
âYeah I think we can do that.â, you smiled at him before you kissed him, absolutely gentle this time. As you broke apart he placed a soft kiss on your forehead, holding you in his arms close to his body as he mumbled: âI love you to the moon and back, I hope you know that.â You smiled up at him as you whispered: âI love you too.â Just as you were about to doze off you could hear his deep voice: âY/N?â
âYeah?â
âI really hate us fighting. But I kind of love our kind of anger management.â, he said amused as you chuckled, replying: âYeah I can totally understand that. Do you actually know what sucks most about you being pulled from the shows for 2 months?â He was drawing little circles on your back as he wanted to know: âWhat exactly?â You smirked up at him as you said: âThat you arenât there after every show to celebrate your victory.â Joe knew exactly what you were hinting at and with a sly smirk he replied: âYou know. baby girl, me not being allowed to step into a ring doesnât mean that Iâm not allowed to travel with you. I sure as hell wonât miss out on those special occasions.â And before you could answer, he was already capturing your lips in a gentle kiss that grew more and more passionate, preparing you for another round. Sleeping was for the weak anyway.

Sitting in my room, staring at the wall, I can't believe it's happening Once so wonderful, now, life's a twisted kind of reality, a fantasy Don't know where to begin
You were currently on your way home, a huge smile on your face. You knew that days like this were rare given that you were dating a guy that had to be on the road for most of the time due to his job, hence why you appreciated days like this even more. And you couldn't wait to surprise him. He was kind of bummed first when he happily told you that he was coming home that weekend and you had to tell him that you couldn't be there due to a business trip you were set to go on. However, just as fate wanted it, your business partner had asked you to reschedule your appointment since he was in final negotiations with regard to an important deal that had to be settled by the time you were supposed to travel there. Of course you were anything but sad because not having to go there meant that you could stay at home, surprising your boyfriend. You just hoped that he wouldn't be there before you were done with your preparations; meaning cooking dinner, buying some things for the weekend ... the usual stuff.
You and Joe had been dating for almost five years already and although you had your ups and downs from time to time you were always going strong ever since. You had never imagined that you would find a person once, that you gladly handed over your heart to and you couldn't have been happier than you currently were in your life. You couldn't help but picture his face as soon as he would realize that you could share his days off together. Of course, you hadn't told him in advance as it wouldn't be a surprise after all then. You couldn't even begin to describe how much you missed him every time he was not at home, the home you shared for four years already and that always was extremely vacant when he wasn't around. Since those times were so rare you always tried to make the best out of them. Your smile grew even wider when you thought about the night that was lying in front of you. You couldn't deny that the sex you had with him was always amazing but even more so when he had been on the road for quite some time since he tried to make up for everything you couldn't have during those times by loving you most of the night, mostly resulting in different rounds you would take. That was something you didn't complain about of course. And although you were primarily happy that he would be home for a few days, you couldnât deny that you were looking forward to being intimate with him again.
After what felt like an eternity you finally reached your home, somehow fumbling your key into the lock and opening the door. You didnât even care much about your surroundings as you made your way straight into the kitchen in order to place your groceries on the kitchen counter. You somehow had the feeling that something was off but as you looked around everything looked the way it should. You stored away a few items into the refrigerator that you would need later to cook Joeâs favorite food when you heard muffled noises. You almost dropped the bottle of wine you were holding as you spun around. You automatically tried to remember whether you had locked the door as well as the windows when you left the house this morning, but you were pretty convinced that you had done so indeed. Carefully you placed the wine in the refrigerator before tiptoeing over to the kitchen door in order to listen closely, trying to locate where the noises were coming from. As they were rather muffled you really had to listen carefully so you could hear them at all.
Saw your love for me vanish in a single moment of stupidity Nightmare this may be, but it is not a dream, ooh I want to scream; a broken heart still bleeds Never ever talk, never ever smile Knowing that my life won't be the same Never ever touch, never ever feel I will never hear you call my nameâŠagain
You slowly made your way out of the kitchen and headed for the stairs leading to the first floor. You were so focused on listening, hoping that it wasnât a burglar that you didnât really pay much attention to the way you were taking until you almost fell over something. You wanted to curse out loud but swallowed the curse instead as you took a closer look to the thing that almost made you fall, realizing that it was Joeâs suitcase. You were torn between being absolutely happy that he was already home by now and sad that your surprise didnât work the way you had planned it. You set a foot on the staircase only to stop right away in your tracks as you once again heard the muffled noises, frowning in confusion. You didn't really know why but with each step that you were taking your gut feeling grew heavier and heavier. You were happy that he was back, more than happy actually, but something just didn't seem right, you just couldn't tell what it was. Or rather you had a fear but you didn't want to give in to that thought.
As you reached the first floor you saw his shirt lying on the floor which was nothing too uncommon for him since he usually stripped out of his clothes already while making his way to the shower. You listened carefully whether you heard the water running but there was no such sound. Slowly you were moving over the first floor as you heard the muffled sounds again, followed by a quiet moan. You immediately stopped in your tracks, trying somehow to calm your nerves by telling yourself that it probably was just one of those times  he had fun with himself and that you probably would just walk in on him while he was in action. Those hopes crashed however just seconds later as you heard another moaning that was definitely not him. You wanted to tear up as everything around you shattered. You would have expected a lot of things but the man you loved cheating on you definitely was not on that list. But no matter how much you wanted to break down in that moment, you promised yourself that you would stay strong.
You tried to prepare for the sight, that would await you, and just seconds later you opened the door. Of course you knew what you would be seeing but that didn't mean that it hurt any less as you saw your boyfriend in bed with another woman. Both of them were so caught up that they didn't notice you and as you watched him fuck some random chick on your bed while both of them moaned out in pleasure, something in you just snapped. You swallowed the tears, that were about to make their way to the surface, anger replacing them almost instantly. "Get the fuck out of my house", you gritted through your teeth and you could pinpoint the exact moment as shock and realization hit Joe. They both stopped in their tracks as he pulled out of her, rolling off of her right away, turning his attention to you, his face driven by guilt. "Y/N...", he said but you cut his sentence off right away as you deadly quiet said: "I said, get the fuck out of my house and take your slut with you."
In my dreams I see, see you come to me; a memory of times of old Waking up, I realize Hell's as cool as ice and the touch of sin did get me in Nothing burns like the cold Never ever talk, never ever smile Knowing that my life won't be the same Never ever touch, never ever feel I will never hear you call my name... again As we sin, so do we suffer I've fallen from grace, want to turn back time and make it undone
You could not believe it. Could not believe, that the man that you loved and that you trusted with all your heart, would betray you like that. Could not believe that he would throw everything away, all the beautiful times that you shared, just because he felt the urge to bang some random chick. You could see that she â whoever she was- was decreasing under your gaze, feeling more than uncomfortable right now, probably wishing to be somewhere else while Joe still stared at you in shock, probably just realizing that he had destroyed what he had with you in a single moment of stupidity. The woman whispered: "I'm..." but you just shot her a deadly look, making her shut up in that very moment before you hissed: "I'm not saying it again. Grab your fucking stuff and hurry the fuck out of my home." She didn't need to hear that twice before she slipped out of the bed, grabbing her clothes and vanishing from the room as far as she could, not even caring to glance at Joe another time.
Anger was radiating from every inch of your body as you focused on your boyfriend. "You should follow her example pretty fast before I forget myself. And on your way out take your fucking suitcase with you. You can gather your garbage as soon as I'm back to work so I don't have to see your cheating ass ever again", you stated, fury speaking out of every word. Joe was getting up and jumped into his boxers before he made his way over to you, saying: "Please baby girl, I can explain everything." You couldn't believe your ears. Did he really think that you would love to hear a fucking explanation as to why he was boning another woman in the bed you shared with him? You must have looked at him in disbelief as you wanted to know: "Explain everything? Are you fucking serious? You were just fucking another woman in my bed and you want to explain everything? How about you take that explanation of yours, take it sideways and shove it right up your fucking ass where it belongs?" He tried to reach out to you but you slapped his hand away in that very moment, hissing: "Don't you fucking dare to touch me." You could see that his face changed from just guilt to guilt and despair as Joe said: "Please baby listen to me. I know that I have made a mistake. I can't make it undone but at least hear me out. She means nothing to me."
"Oh and because she means nothing to you, you were happily screwing her? You know what Joe? Fuck you.", you gritted through your teeth while anger was boiling in you more and more. You could feel that you were about to lose your calmness but you couldn't change it. And he didn't even deserve that you would hold it back in any way. "Babe, I know that I have fucked up big time, but I can assure you that she was only an one night stand. I don't even know why I did what I did. It... It meant nothing." He tried to save the situation but you just had enough, your temper finally having the best of you as you yelled: "Should that help to make me feel any better? That it meant nothing to you? That it was an one night stand? That it probably was a chick you had picked up on your flight home? Should this lessen the fact that you have fucking cheated on me, probably thinking that I would be working my ass off over the weekend on my business trip, so you had all the time you needed for your little adventure for yourself? Well guess what Joe, it doesn't. It doesn't make any of this less painful than it is. It doesn't change the fact that you have cheated on me. It doesn't change the fact that you would have probably never told me if I haven't caught you right in the act. It doesn't change that it probably wasn't the first time that you banged a random slut while you would keep telling me that I'm the only one for you and it is me and only me that you love. So how about you just save your fucking breath because no matter what you could say, it wouldnât change any of that. You have betrayed me, you have cheated on me and you probably haven't done so as an once in a lifetime experience. So just shut the fuck up and move your ass out of my sight."
Joe, driven mainly by the thought of having fucked up for good and by the fear of losing you, shot back: "Would you please listen to me for once Y/N? I know that it doesn't make things better, I know that it won't erase what I had done to you. But you have to believe me when I tell you that I have never cheated on you before. Hell, I don't even know why I had done so now. She means nothing to me, I don't even know her. I love you, baby girl even though you have a hard time believing it now. And I'm so sorry what I have done to you. All I'm asking you is to hear me out and to give me a chance to make things right. I just can't lose you, not like that. You have every right to be mad at me but please don't make me leave."
Never ever talk, never ever smile Knowing that my life won't be the same Never ever touch, never ever feel I will never hear you call my name Never ever talk, never ever smile All I see: a future full of fear Never ever touch, never ever feel I can never whisper in your earâŠI'm sorry
"Get out of my face.", you hissed with Joe taking a step towards you. "No, not like that.", he answered, getting to a halt in front of you. As your hurt was taking over your actions, you lifted your hand and slapped him across his face, yelling once again: "Get the fuck out of my home and my life. And don't you fucking dare to come back. There is no us anymore. And the only person you can blame for that is yourself." You could see that he was devastated, but so were you. You would have never thought that you could be wrong when trusting and loving a person so much. He just took those last couple of years that you had shared and tossed them out the window - just for a few minutes of irrelevant sex. "Don't do this to me baby. I'm begging you. Don't end it like this. Give me a chance to make things right.", Joe begged while you were shaking your head. He tried to talk to you, tried to convince you that you should hear him out, but you didn't even think about doing so. Not after what you had just seen.
The last thing you remembered was that he left with tears in his eyes, his suitcase by his side as you were holding back your tears just as long as he left before you let them run. No one said that breaking up with the man that held your heart would be easy. But since your trust was shattered to the bone, it was the only acceptable solution for you. Your home would be empty without him, but somehow you would have to get used to it. Just like you would have to get used to your heart aching whenever you would see his face or hear his name. But life had to go on and where there was an âusâ, there would only be an âyouâ from now on. Just because of one moment of stupidity, where Joe had lost his everything â you.

Monrose - What you donât know
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6kXX0Qt6QI
What you don't know Is that your scars are beautiful What you don't know Is your imperfections are what make me whole What you don't know Is how I spiral down Cause I can't speak whenever you're around And it's not like me to hide behind a wall And it's not like me to fear the fall
You sighed as you were turning the page of the book you were reading, trying to hold back your thoughts from returning to your best friend. Things between the both of you had changed, you were quite aware of that but you couldn't tell, what exactly was the reason for that. Joe and you had been pretty close ever since you visited college together and it was back then when he became your best friend. You didn't have any secrets from each other and you knew that you could call him in the middle of the night if you needed someone to talk and vice versa. You were happy for him when he started dating his later wife and you shared his excitement when he told you that he would become a father. And you were there when he chased his dream of being a professional wrestler as well as when he was able to finally fulfill it as he signed with WWE, first with NXT only to be moved to the main roster shortly after. There was only one thing that you didn't tell him, that you couldn't tell him to be more precise, and that was that your feelings ran deeper than just on the best friend level. Of course that was something you would have never shared with him, knowing how happy he was with the life he was living.
So the best way for you was to keep your feelings to yourself, rather having him as your best friend only, than scaring him away by letting him know about it and maybe losing him for good. That was not always easy of course but you thought that you managed to do so quite well - at least you hadn't the impression that he had noticed. But that might have changed. You were reminiscing your actions and your words towards him, trying to figure out whether you did or said something that could have given your real feelings away. But no matter how hard you tried to remember, you just couldn't come up with a suitable solution. It was just from one moment to the next - or so it seemed to you at least - that he became somehow distant. As you knew him so damn well, you sensed it right away. He was less relaxed in your presence, you could tell that he wasn't sharing everything with you anymore like he had before. He didn't answer to your texts right away, which was absolutely uncommon for him and you had the impression that he somehow avoided you, not only by not opening up to you anymore but also by not asking you how your relationship was going and so on.
What you don't know Is that I lay awake Wishing you were here tonight What you don't know Is that I loved you long before we were alive Cause how would you know, how could you know So now I'm gonna tell you everything
If you thought about that in more detail, it wasn't really from one moment to the next. It was that evening a couple weeks ago, where you were sitting on the porch next to him during a house party of one of your friends, gazing up at the stars and having one of your deeper conversations. It was then when you told him that you and your boyfriend were talking about getting married, about moving to another state due to his job and you wanted to have his input on that topic. You couldn't tell right away what was wrong with him but you realized that he got more and more quiet the more you told him, only to let you know that you should marry him if he makes you happy. Little did he know that your boyfriend would never be able to do that - although he was a great guy. But your heart simply didn't belong to him. It was from that moment on that Joe started to drift away from you and you had absolutely no idea why.
Of course you had a few drinks that evening but you were 100% positive that you haven't told Joe that he meant more to you than he should as your best friend. You have tried to figure out what was bothering him but whenever you brought that topic up, he would give you another excuse along the lines of "I'm sorry but I'm too busy at work", "Sorry I can't talk, I'm running late to drop the kid off" or simply "No offense but I'm too tired to even keep my eyes open" and whenever you would ask him in person, he would just change the topic. It pained you to realize that your best friend was slowly drifting away, knowing that there was nothing you could do against it as he locked you out, not letting you know what was bothering him. And the truth was, that you were too tired to ask him and try to keeping him close. You always thought that you knew him to the core, that you actually knew him better than his own wife, but by now you had to admit that he had managed to become a stranger in front of your own eyes and that did hurt more than you could tell, especially not knowing the reason behind it. You tried to concentrate on your book but after having read the same sentence for the tenth time and still not grasping what was standing there, you closed your book with an annoyed groan. "Perfect just perfect. How about you try to stop your self-pity for at least a few moments?", you scolded yourself as you got up in order to brew some coffee.
What you don't know I have studied the way you walk What you don't know Is I've already kissed you in the shadows of my heart What you don't know Is that you're poetry If you turn around there's someone you won't see And it's not like me to hide behind a wall
As you were waiting for the water to boil, the phone suddenly rang and in the first moment your hope sparked that it would be Joe, being his old self again. You felt slightly guilty as you felt disappointment washing over you the first second you heard your boyfriend's voice. He wanted to tell you that he had landed safely in the first town of his business trip and that he was already missing you. You told him the same - of course you did, but the truth was that you didnât really share his feelings. He was a top guy, funny, well-mannered, hard-working and you knew how unfair it was, but he simply was not your best friend. You counted the seconds until it was polite enough to end the call because you just had not the energy to continue your small talk, especially since he wanted to talk about the topic of marriage again. You didn't feel like sharing a future with him anyway, but you just hadn't the guts to tell him yet.
You took another deep breath as you grabbed your coffee, putting some sugar and milk in it and stirring it, completely trapped in your thoughts. The ringing of the doorbell made you snap out of your thoughts. You weren't awaiting any visitors or parcels but you assumed that it could be one of your neighbors, asking for some ingredients like it had happened for quite some time in the past. To say that you were surprised when you were opening the door would be a slight understatement. You almost dropped your mug when you saw Joe standing there. It wouldn't have surprised you in the past but nowadays, with him avoiding you the best he could, it absolutely took you off guard seeing him standing there. "Joe what are you doing here?", you wanted to know, your voice full of surprise. He just stared at you without saying a word and you couldn't help but turn slightly nervous under his intense glare. It was not that you were afraid of him, since he was basically the most peaceful guy outside of the ring that you have ever met, but if you wouldn't have known this, you would have had no problem believing that he could snap you in half right away. "Are you okay?", you tried your luck again, but he preferred to further stare down at you instead of saying a word. You searched for an answer in his face but the only expression you found there was the one he often had in the ring, as he was awaiting his opponents.
Just as you really started to worry about him, he started moving, making you take a step back into your apartment until he stood inside of it as well, closing the door behind him, not looking away from you the entire time. He reached out for your mug and took it from your hand before he placed it on the sideboard next to you. "What the hell is going on? Seriously Joe, I know that you wouldn't hurt a fly but you kind of scare me by not saying a word and looking at me as if you were the big bad wolf waiting to eat your prey.", you got out before you heard him mumble: "That's a pretty fitting metaphor." Before you could ask him to explain what he meant, he took another step towards you and with one swift move he grabbed your waist, spinning you around and trapping you between his body and the door. You were way too surprised to react and with one last fierce look, he leaned down to you, crashing his lips onto yours. You didn't even think about pushing him away, although everything in you screamed to do so. But instead you wrapped your hands around his neck, pulling him even closer, deepening the kiss by returning it with the same passion he directed to you. You knew that it was wrong for various reasons but yet it felt so right at the same time.
What you don't know is that I lay awake Wishing you were here tonight What you don't know Is that I loved you long before we were alive Cause how would you know, how could you know So now I'm gonna tell you everything
As soon as he broke the kiss, Joe locked eyes with you, gently stroking your cheek as he said with insistence: "You can't move into another state and you sure as hell can't marry him. Promise me that." You were beyond confused as to what just happened and was still happening, hence why you wanted to know: "Can you please tell me what is going on? You are my best friend, but no matter how close we were, you out of nowhere decided to ignore and avoid me for the last weeks. You don't answer my questions and if I get the chance to talk to you, you cut me off with a lame ass excuse. And then suddenly, out of nowhere, you appear here, press me against the door, kiss me like you were my secret lover and as if your life depended on it and want me to promise you that I won't marry my boyfriend. No offense, but I think that I deserve an explanation and a very good one that is." He listened closely to what you had to say, slightly nodding his head, his deep voice muttering: "You're damn right that you do. I owe you one and I know that. And I certainly will give you one, but first I want you to promise me that you won't marry him."
"Joe, I...", you started, only to be interrupted by him right away as he moved closer to you, pinning you with his whole body against the door even more, as he whispered in your ear, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine: "No baby girl, I want you to promise me right here and now that you won't marry him. And then I will give you any explanation you could ask for." You had no idea why he would demand that but since you didn't feel like marrying him anyway, it was no big deal to say it out loud: "Fine, I promise you not to marry him and not to move away. But I want an explanation for all of this now." You were still too shocked to make sense out of everything that was happening while his fingertips were still caressing your cheek, trailing softly over your jawline, his eyes showing an emotion that you were not really able to name. He took his time before he answered: "Because I couldn't stand it, that's why."
As much as you loved the soft touch of his fingers on your skin, your anger started boiling nevertheless. It still didn't make any sense and all you asked for was a simple explanation why your best friend, that was married to a beautiful wife with whom he had an even more beautiful daughter, stormed into your apartment, kissing you like there was no tomorrow, demanding that you would skip on any potential wedding plans. You slapped his hand away and freed yourself from him, before you grabbed your mug and headed into your living room, being absolutely aware that he was following you. As you turned around, you glared up at him and demanded: "You really think that this will do it? "I couldn't stand it"? What kind of explanation is that? It does not explain even a single bit. It doesn't explain you avoiding me, it doesn't explain you appearing here out off nowhere, it doesn't explain you kissing me while your wife is sitting at home. It does not explain shit. Once again... I want to know what is going on. I want to know what all this is about. And quite frankly I want to know all of this right now."
What you don't know What you don't know What you don't know Is when the moon and the sun collide The morning comes this time I won't be afraid to try
Joe was looking at, trying to find the right words. It took him a couple of seconds before he said: "You want to know what all this is about? For fuck's sake Y/N, I love you. That is what all this is about. And it's not a feeling I have just developed within the last couple of months but I fell for you pretty soon after we met each other in college. You were still with your ex back then and you seemed to be so happy with him. I didn't dare to tell you how I was feeling as I didn't want to scare you away, to lose you as my best friend. And when I met Galina, well I was attracted to her, by far not as much as I was attracted to you, but I thought that I would give it a try, I thought that I could lessen my feelings for you that way, thought I could avoid you being the last thing on my mind when I fell asleep and the first thing on my mind when I woke up. Needless to say that I failed. And when you were crying on my shoulder after your ex had cheated on you, I wanted to rip his heart out for causing you so much pain. And I thought that maybe I should try it, maybe I should just tell you how I was feeling for you but I didn't want to bother you that day. As you had calmed, I really wanted to tell you some time within the next days, wanted you to know that I loved you. But it seemed as if fate had an odd sense of humor as Gee was telling me exactly then that she was pregnant with my kid. And I just couldn't leave her and the baby. I couldn't, that was not how I had been raised. But it killed me a little bit on the inside. I mean sure I was overwhelmed with joy knowing that I would become a father but at the same time I wished that it would have been you telling me this. Well and the rest from that point on is well known history. I stayed with Galina, raising our daughter with her, trying to somehow bottle my feelings up for you, so I could still have you as my best friend. I don't even want to count the daydreams, where I pictured you on my side. When you got to know your boyfriend, I wanted to scare him right away, but you seemed to be happy, so I just swallowed that bitter pill and tried to adjust to that situation. But when you told me that you thought about getting married, I... well I just couldn't take it. It was too much to handle. I went through all of those years hiding what I was feeling for you, but hearing that you were thinking of spending the rest of your life with this guy... I just had to get away. I didn't want to ruin it for you, I certainly didn't. And I know that I'm putting my own family at risk and I'm really sorry for that. But I just couldn't let it happen without trying. I have loved you from the moment you said hello and I'm just tired of fighting against my own feelings. If I have damaged everything between us now, it would hurt. But it would hurt even more not having tried in the first place. So long story short: This is what it is all about, it is about me loving you and not being able to stand the thought of losing you to another guy."
You looked at him in shock, you were absolutely speechless. You had no idea how often you had dreamt about hearing those words from him and now that he had confessed all of that, you noticed that it could have been you saying all of it to Joe instead, as it completely mirrored your own feelings. You simply could not believe that he would feel the same for you like you felt for him. You stared at him, way too overwhelmed to say a word. "Say something, just anything", he plead, fearing that he might have destroyed anything that had been there between the both of your before. Instead of saying anything, you stepped nearer, looking up into his eyes, your own reflecting all of the love and affection you were feeling for him, before you gently pulled his head down, kissing him with all the love you were feeling for him while he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer, replying immediately.
What you don't know is that I lay awake Wishing you were here tonight What you don't know Is that I loved you long before we were alive Cause how would you know, how could you know So now I'm gonna tell you everything What you don't know
As you broke apart you smiled up at him, whispering: "I thought I was the only one who felt like that." You couldn't help but laugh at the puzzled expression on his face as he mumbled: "What?" You gently cupped his cheek, saying: "Joe, I have fallen for you that moment our paths crossed for the first time. But as you said, I was in a relationship back then and breaking up as a result of a crush was something I couldn't do. And back then I thought that this was all it actually was. When we grew so close and you told me that you were dating Gee my world crushed a little bit, even more so when you let me know that you would have a baby. I had decided back there and then to bottle up everything I was feeling for you for the rest of my life because I just couldn't let you know. If I knew that you were feeling the same... well I would have had the courage to tell you. To be honest, I never even wanted to marry him but I thought I would give it a try. You know, going away, starting anew, and hoping that my feelings for you would decrease at least a little bit." You could see all of the different emotions running over his face as he processed what you had just confessed. With a huge smile he placed another soft kiss on your lips as he wanted to know: "So that means that it could have been us the whole time if we just had the courage to wear our hearts on our sleeves."
"That sounds way too cheesy for your own good, but yes, I guess that's exactly what it means." , you smiled before your face took on a sad expression. Joe noticed as well hence why he carefully lifted your chin and locked eyes with yours before he asked: "What is it baby girl?" You gave him a sad smile, whispering: "I'm just sad that now, when we know about our feelings for each other, it's too late."
"What do you mean?"
"Oh come on Joe, you know exactly what I mean. You are married to a beautiful wife and you have an even more beautiful child. There is no space for you and me.", you whispered with him pulling you closer as he said: "I'm figuring something out, I promise you. But there is one thing I know. I just can't go on with hiding my feelings for you. I tried for more than a decade and I failed miserably. I'm just asking you for one thing. Give me a chance and I promise you that I will make it work somehow. Will you?"
You peeked up at him and saw all of the love he felt for you mirrored in his eyes. And you knew that it was the same deep love that you felt for him, hence why you slowly nodded your head, pushing every tiny bit of bad conscience aside and whispering: "Iâm certainly willing to try because you're all I ever wanted and needed in my life.â With that you pulled him down and kissed him gently, hoping that everything would turn out for the best somehow.Â

Turn the lights on! Every night I rush to my bed With hopes that maybe I'll get a chance to see you when I close my eyes I'm going outta my head Lost in a fairytale Can you hold my hands and be my guide? Clouds filled with stars cover your skies And I hope it rains You're the perfect lullaby What kind of dream is this? You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you (Turn the lights on!) Sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Somebody pinch me, your love's too good to be true (Turn the lights on!)
It was not the first time that you had seen him around and you were quite sure that it wouldnât be the last time. And of course you knew who he was. Who didnât after all? It was no big secret around here that the wrestlers â both male and female â of the WWE would workout in your usual gym from time to time. Basically everyone was so used to it by now that they didnât even raise an eyebrow when one of them entered. Quite the contrary actually. It was a common thing to workout together with them from time to time if chances were given. However, that didnât mean that you were absolutely immune to every WWE Superstar that entered. Quite the contrary to be honest. You had to admit that none other than Roman Reigns had drawn you attention. You couldnât help but find him extremely good looking and from what you have heard about him, he seemed to be a completely down to earth and laid back guy. But although he was always friendly to you respectively all of the other gym visitors, he nevertheless stuck by himself or with his buddies primarily whenever he hit the gym. Of course, you had seen him glance over to you from time to time but you just filed that under coincidence.
âEarth to Y/N. Do you hear me?â, you snapped out of your thoughts as soon as you realized that one of your best buddies was talking to you. You just hoped that he hadnât realized where your attention was wandering to. âYeah yeah I hear you, Iâm sorryâ, you sighed as you turned your attention back to the man in front of you. âSeriously Y/N you should really kick him out. I mean letâs be honest here. He doesnât have a job nor is he bothered to find one. He lives on your money, he eats your food and so on. And itâs not like heâs familyâ, your friend mentioned as you replied: âI know Y/F/N, I know. But weâve dated for quite some time and when he asked for help after his new relationship ended and he lost his job, it was a point of honor to take him in and let him stay.â Your friend shook his head as he replied: âAnd that was really kind of you. But letâs be honest, Y/N. When have you broken up? Three years ago? And how long is he staying at your costs now already, scaring every guy away that you might find interesting enough to invite in?â You thought about it for a second before you sighed, answering: âAlmost six months.â
âThatâs exactly what Iâm talking about. Youâre way too good for this world Y/N. Throw him out for good respectively issue him an ultimatum that he has to find a new place to crash within the next 3 weeks or so. Start living again for yourself and not for others.â You took a sip from your water as the both of you were sitting at the bar currently, mumbling: âYeah I know and I will. But itâs not that easy.â Your friend grinned at you as he answered: âIf you need help throwing him out, I can definitely do that. And if you need more muscle power Iâm pretty sure one of those will gladly give you a helping hand as well.â While saying that he pointed his head into the direction of some WWE Superstars, who were currently working out. You had to laugh out loud as you were shaking your head, replying: âThank you Y/F/N but I think Iâm old enough to handle that myself.â You could tell that your friend was overly pleased with your decision. You sat there for a couple more minutes until he got up, saying: âIâm sorry Y/N but my nightshift calls. Iâll call you tomorrow okay? And donât wait too long until you throw him out.â You smiled up at him, responding: âDonât worry and now hurry up. I donât want you to be late for work.â With that he got up and headed for the locker rooms to change.
A short glance at the clock on the wall told you that it was rather late already but since you didnât feel like returning home to your ex boyfriend, you decided to run another round on the treadmill. You totally lost track of time, being alone with your thoughts and yourself and you probably could have continued for another couple of minutes if one of the trainers, that you knew pretty well, hadnât appeared in the door, a big smile on her face as she said: âCome on Y/N, I know that you love it here, but I have to shut the gym down for today.â You smiled at her, an apologizing look on your face as you answered: âIâm sorry Susan, I completely forgot about the time. Give me ten minutes and Iâll be gone.â
âJust because it is you, you can have 15.â, she smiled before turning around, making sure that the gym was empty. You took your towel before heading for the locker rooms yourself. You tried to decide whether you should take a shower but since you didnât have too long to get home, you decided to take one at home to avoid that Susan had to stay behind for longer than absolutely necessary just because of you.
My guilty pleasure, I ain't going nowhere Baby, long as you're here I'll be floating on air ('Cause you're my, you're my...) You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you (Turn the lights on!) I mention you when I say my prayers I wrap you around all of my thoughts Boy, you're my temporary high I wish that when I wake up you're there To wrap your arms around me for real and tell me you'll stay by my side Clouds filled with stars cover the skies And I hope it rains You're the perfect lullaby What kind of dream is this?
As you were completely lost in thoughts, you didnât even realize that you were accidently walking into the menâs locker room instead of the womenâs. And you probably still wouldnât have realized it if you didnât crash into something or rather someone. âWhat the hell?â, you mumbled as you heard a deep voice chuckle: âWoah easy there.â It took you a moment to process everything you were seeing. You were staring at a shirtless chest that was soaking wet with water drops dripping down to a towel that set deep on a waist, covering someoneâs lower body. The next thing you realized was that that someone in front of you was thick and muscular, his whole body having a bronze touch. As you slowly lifted your head you noticed long black hair and a tribal tattoo over chest and arm that you would have recognized anywhere. You didnât have to think twice to realize that you had bumped into none other than Roman Reigns, and not just that⊠a half-naked Roman Reigns to be more precise.
As you looked up, you saw him looking down at you, an amused expression all over his face. You tried to hide your shock, hoping that you werenât blushing as you exclaimed: âWhat the hell are you doing in the womenâs locker room?â You heard him laugh out loud as he answered: âFirst of all, that is the menâs locker room, so the question is, what are you doing here sweetheart? As for me Iâm making sure that youâre not landing on your beautiful butt after you had smashed right into me.â It was only then that you realized that his arm surrounded your waist, his hand just inches away from your ass. He was right... When you were bumping into him, you immediately stumbled backwards and would have probably landed on your back if he hadnât proven to have such great reflexes. You tried to hide your blush as you were mumbling a quiet "sorry", escaping from his grip and taking a step back so you could get some distance between the both of you. You tensed your shoulders and turned round, saying on your way out: "I'm really sorry for that mistake. Won't happen again. Have a great evening." Before you could leave, however, his voice held you back as he wanted to know: "You're alright? You seem a little bit off."
"Yeah I'm fine. It's just been a long day and I lost concentration that is all.", you mumbled with Roman answering: "Do you have a way of getting home?" You turned round, a little smile on your face, trying to ignore the half-naked wrestler in front of you: "Yeah basically. Two healthy legs that are good to go." You heard his deep chuckle as he offered: "If you want to, I can drive you home." As promising as that might have sounded but you were not really sure that this was a good idea. You didn't even know the guy except from having his face seen on the television quite some time respectively of him sometimes working out in the same gym you did. You shook your head as you said: "Thank you for the offer, I really appreciate that. But walking won't kill me." With that you turned around and left the locker room, waving goodbye before you headed for the women's locker room, quickly closing the door after you and taking a deep breath. You would have lied if you hadn't admitted that you liked what you had just seen. But you reminded yourself that a guy like him was way out of your league. So you just grabbed your bag and changed into your normal clothes before tossing your sports gear in it, zipping it up.
As you got fully dressed, your thoughts went back to the conversation you had with your friend. He was right... Your ex was absolutely living on your expenses, not even trying to change that. And if you were honest that pissed you off quite frankly. You would need to talk to him sooner than later to have your apartment back to yourself. As you were trapped in your thoughts, you made your way to the front door, realizing that Susan was already waiting, so she could close the door behind you. As you reached the door, you stopped in your tracks as you realized that it was raining like hell outside. It may not be too far to your home, maybe 20 minutes walking distance, but with a rain like that it certainly was no fun. You slightly cursed yourself for not having accepted Roman's offer. But you just shrugged it off, as you said your goodbyes to Susan, heading out into the rain, to make your way home.Â
You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you (Turn the lights on!) Sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Somebody pinch me, your love's too good to be true (Turn the lights on!)

You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you (Turn the lights on!) Tattoo your name across my heart So it will remain Not even death can make us part What kind of dream is this?
As you were walking over the parking lot, you heard a voice near you saying: "You know my offer is still valid... If you want me to take you home, you are welcome to jump in the car." Of course you didn't have to think twice to know whom the voice belonged to. You scanned the parking lot and realized that you had walked right past his car, not really realizing that it was standing there due to the heavy rain. You were turning around slowly, blinking through the heavy rain until you were able to locate his frame as he was opening the door to his car. You probably should have just kept walking but on the other hand he didn't seem like someone who would kill you and burry your body somewhere. And if you were honest to yourself, you didn't mind getting to know him respectively the real him behind his public persona. You moved closer as you wanted to know: "You're sure that this wouldn't be of any trouble for you? I don't want to be a burden or something like that." He had already came round his car, opening the passenger's door, giving you a warm smile while he answered: "Don't worry about that. If it was, I wouldn't have offered it in the first place. And now get in before you catch a nasty cold." You had to smile at his words before you got into his car, placing your bag in your lap with Roman shutting the door. You already looked like a wet poodle but with him being soaked as well, you didn't really care.
As he was sitting down behind the steering wheel, starting the engine and driving the car from the parking lot, you said: "Left and the next one right, please" with him nodding in understanding before he drove onto the street. "I'm Y/N by the way.", you mentioned, having only then realized that you haven't introduced yourself before and he therefore probably didn't know your name, although you were quite sure that he would have forgotten it the next moment. He gave you a little smile as he was reaching out his hand to you, with you shaking it as he said: "The name's Joe, nice to meet you." As he was gripping the steering wheel again, he glanced over to you, wanting to know: "You're in the gym quite often, aren't you?" He didn't really want to say it out loud that you have drawn his attention in the past and that he was always happy when he saw you there, although he didn't quite have the guts to talk you up - hard to believe but contrary to the character he was portraying, the real him was rather introverted and didn't feel well among big crowds, hence why meeting new people outside of his professional life was not always an easy task to fulfill.
You chuckled slightly as you answered: "More often than I was in the past, that's for sure." He looked at you in confusion as he wanted to know why that was the case with you explaining: "Let's just say that I don't have my apartment all to myself and sometimes the company there isn't exactly what I can bear." You obviously had confused him even more hence why he was asking: "Your boyfriend annoys you?" You had to laugh as you answered: "My ex boyfriend of three years. His new flame threw him out, he lost his job and he crashed on my couch ever since. That was half an year ago and he doesn't appear as if he wants to change anything about that any time soon." You could clearly hear amusement in his voice as he said: "If you need help with throwing him out, I know a move or two." You had to laugh out loud as you replied: "Yeah I have no hard time believing that. Please turn right next, it's the fourth house on the right side." Joe did as you asked him, parking the car in front of your apartment complex just a few seconds later, right in time with the rain stopping. Â "Guess someone up there wanted you to tag along.", you heard him say as he pointed outside, where no drop was coming down anymore. "Seems like that.", you smiled before adding: "Thank you for giving me a ride and bringing me home almost dry. I guess I owe you something."
"Don't worry, it was my pleasure. But if you want to make up for that, I know a great movie theater nearby", he answered, giving you a little wink, causing you almost to blush. "Wait... were you just asking me out?", you wanted to know taken by surprise with Joe responding: "Ugh I guess so. Depends on what you're saying I suppose." You had no idea whether you should agree or not. Sure, he was absolutely handsome, charming and you loved his wrestling character. And of course you wanted to get to know the real him behind the public persona. But the last thing you had heard about him and his relationship status was, that he was in a serious one. And suddenly going on a date with him seemed to be less inviting. You got out of the car, gave him a smile and said: "Thank you so much for taking me home safe and sound, I really appreciate that. As for the movie theater, Iâll think about it. Have a great night." And before he could say another word, you were already closing the door and headed for your house, only to vanish shortly after. Joe was trorn between being absolutely confused and amused but he just shrugged it off as he was quite sure that he would see you sooner than later back in the gym. And if he was honest to himself, you giving him the cold shoulder somehow, made him want to get to know you even more.
You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Either way I don't wanna wake up from you (Turn the lights on!) As he was speeding off, you made your way up to your apartment, grinning like crazy. Of course you shouldn't even be thinking about possibly going on a date with him but that tiny little voice in your head kept telling you, that he wouldn't probably ask you out if he indeed was in a serious relationship still. Your mood instantly sank, however, when you opened the door to your apartment and saw the mess there. When you stepped into your living room you witnessed your ex boyfriend being kept busy in a heavy make out session with a girl you didn't even know. And it was not like you cared. You just got absolutely annoyed that he obviously had time for that but getting his ass up, searching for a job, getting his own apartment, seemed to be at the bottom of his agenda. As he heard your voice both, him and his girl, looked up. "Okay that's it, Y/Ex/N. You have lived at my expenses for way too long. You have three fucking weeks to find a place to stay and then I want you gone." He looked at you with a puzzled expression as he wanted to know: "Are you serious Y/N?"
"More than serious. I think you have utilized my good nature for more than enough", you answered, not letting him reply as you were heading straight for your room, closing and locking the door behind of you. You took a deep breath. It felt good having told him that he had to  leave and by knowing that you had people who would help you, it didn't seem to be such an hard task after all. You were way too tired in order to shower or even get changed, so you just lied down on your bed, reminiscing your evening as Joe's face kept appearing in front of your eyes. Like it had done so many times before, even before you actually talked to him. Maybe you should really just agree to go on that date with him, you thought to yourself before you fell asleep.
