Roman never forgave Seth for destroying The Shield, his family, and so he got tunnel vision when he saw Seth in the tactical gear. Roman had the opportunity take Cody out once and for all with the chair but he attacked Seth instead. The reoccurring theme of this whole wrestlemania is that if your obsessed/ blinded by hate, it will ultimately cost you the thing you cherish the most, your title
