I just miss them, so let’s share a quick round of Mileapo good-natured silliness. Feel free to reblog and add stuff if you feel like it! *hearts*

So Mile’s currently in Belgium and what did he post from his vacation? This picture of a closed clothes shop. And while the style of the outfits in the window display could fit either of them (bless the overlap in their fashion style), I noticed something in the back.

A horse saddle! Which might sound funny, unless you remember that Mile has said on more than one occasion that Apo is like a horse in his opinion (hard to earn his trust, but if you can, he’ll take you to some amazing places).

Meanwhile, Apo shared on the same day a pic of a black cat with greenish eyes. Mile loves cats and particularly black cats with green eyes, he has for years.

(This allows me to reminisce for a second on Feb 25, when they were doing KinnPorsche the World Tour the day after Apo’s bday, when Apo wore a shirt with a horse on it, and Mile arrived at the event with a cat shirt. During an interview, Apo was asked what Mile is getting for him as a gift, and for a second there, Apo’s fluent speech disappeared, and he stared down at Mile’s body peeking out... The next day, Apo shared a pic of green flowers. Mile LOVES green roses and his fans are even named after that love. I’m not sure green roses actually exist naturally (i.e without dyeing). So this pic might actually be the closest you can find in nature to Mile’s love.

Mile re-shared a story showing a gold Rolex. At two events this month, Mile and Apo were seen wearing matching gold Rolex watches (at their Jul 6 Song Wat visit, and their Jul 14 taping of promotional material, both done for their movie Man Suang), but generally speaking, Apo is known to really love them.

What else? Apo’s been sharing a TON of pics of spicy food. Apo is not known as a great lover of spicy food, but you know who is? Mile.

Then on day 2 of a 3 day festival in Belgium that’s open until 1 a.m, at about 9 p.m suddenly Mile was seen going on Weibo, the only social media site Apo can use while in China. Mile left a GN message to fans, then went on to like every single one of Apo’s China posts, then he left a comment reflecting his contentment at Apo chilling, and interacted with absolutely no one and nothing else.

PARTY PREP

What will your MC / OC and their date(s) be wearing?

Ava is generally a very down-to-earth girl who spends most days in yoga gear with her hair up in a messy bun as she chases around after her two small children.  However, she does LOVE to get fully glammed up for a special night out and even has a closet devoted entirely to her extensive collection of cocktail dresses and formal designer ball gowns.  For this occasion, Ava has chosen a strapless, feathered gown by Armani paired with Cartier chandelier earrings.

Drake will also be wearing Armani, simply because it’s what Ava laid out for him.  He doesn’t even grumble about it anymore, as he has placed this issue firmly into the “pick your battles” portion of their marriage.  But, much as he hates to admit it, he doesn’t mind dressing up as much as he once did.  With a woman like Ava on his arm, he had to up his fashion game, and there’s no denying he looks pretty damn good in a well-tailored suit.  

On important nights such as this, Drake will wear his father’s black Rolex, a gift from King Constantine for 10 years of loyal service to the crown.

Do they have any rituals or other things they must do or wear? 

If she has time, (and the kids are occupied) Ava likes to take a relaxing bubble bath to unwind and recharge before spending a long evening socializing. Because although she always seems like she’s having the time of her life at these events, she’s secretly counting the minutes until she and Drake can escape back to the peace and sanctity of their own home.  

If possible, (again, if the kids are otherwise occupied) Drake will join her in the bathtub, which is a date night “ritual” they both very much look forward to.  However, it inevitably prolongs the “getting ready” process quite a bit, so if they’re pressed for time, Drake will let Ava enjoy her bath in solitude while he takes his shower and shaves.

 Will they need a babysitter? 

Ava and Drake have two children, Emelia (4) and Jax (2), and are actively working on baby number three.  Their house manager/nanny, Agnes will be watching the children tonight.

How will they get there? Drake would always prefer to take his beloved Jeep, but some occasions call for something a little more elegant, so Drake will drive Ava’s Jaguar this evening.

When will they arrive? 

While they always strive for punctuality, more often than not they end up running a bit behind schedule.  Sometimes Ava’s hair and makeup will take longer than expected and occasionally their pre-party “bath time” will run long, but what usually holds them up is the process of extracting themselves from their children who have developed a nasty habit of clinging to their parents and screaming bloody murder when they try to leave the house without them.  (Surviving the toddler years is not for the faint of heart.) 

What are they drinking? 

Drake will drink whiskey, neat.  The better the bottle, the happier he’ll be.  

Ava loves a good espresso martini.  Coffee and Vodka ... is there anything better?  However, she’s learned that she can only have two before switching to water for a while because they kick her ass. 

What kind of party-goer are they? 

Ava used to love nothing more than a good party.  Very social and bubbly by nature, people have always been drawn to her and Ava thrived in the spotlight.  She could dance and drink and socialize with anyone and everyone until the sun came up and be ready to do it all again the next night. But now that she’s a wife and mother, her priorities have shifted and she finds that after a few hours partying, she’s more than ready to flee the commotion and head back home to spend some quiet time alone with Drake.  

On the other hand, Drake has gotten slightly more social in the last few years since marrying Ava and becoming Duke of Valtoria.   Yes, having his gorgeous wife on his arm soothes the sting of these social events, no question.  But he also found that the more time he spent among the aristocracy, the better he understood them.  

He’d misjudged them.  

The nobility weren’t simply the spoiled, vapid, and idle misanthropes who’d openly tormented him for most of his life, simply on the basis of his common birth.  No, they were so much more than that.  They were also insecure,  emotionally unstable, and deeply, DEEPLY unhappy.  Most lacked any kind of meaningful connection with another human being, so they used their money, social status, and worthless titles to shield themselves against the crushing loneliness that their privileged lives afforded them.

So no, he didn’t hate the nobles anymore.  He pitied them.

it’s like a math problem. if riley poole has an event that starts at 3:00 PM EST and ends at 4:00 PM EST, and riley poole has two friends who are either “working, i’m so sorry, but have fun, okay?” or just “busy,” then how many people are expected to arrive at riley’s event by 3:30 PM EST? the answer, of course, is none. just riley himself. just him, hidden away at the back of the bookstore, tucked between the cookbook and magazine sections.

the only people he’s seen today were one harried mom in yoga pants looking for better homes and gardens and the store owner themself who came to inform riley that the bathroom on-site was out of order and if he needed to use it any time, he should go to the café across the street. it’s probably the best crowd riley’s drawn yet.

ben and abigail think it’s an ego thing. they’re not completely wrong, because he does like it. his name on the covers, the enthusiastic 3.35 by 4 inch newspaper reviews, the flourish of his signature across the front page. but most of all, it’s because he isn’t like them. he can’t do the genius never to be understood thing. he wants— he needs to be seen. riley poole, in ink, proof that he was here at all.

so riley, sitting in the back of a bookstore even quieter than the museums and mausoleums he’s adventured to, takes an extended course in perseverance.

no matter how many of these he’s had to suffer through—the “are you ben gates?” questions and the driving back home with his own cardboard smile in the backseat—he’s not ready to quit. he’s not willing to be the guy who helped find two lost caches of priceless treasure, but then gave up because nobody came to his book signing. he’s not the last kid alone on the playground anymore. he’s got a cool car and recognition from the white house and two friends who he loves almost as much as they love each other.

give it ten more minutes, he decides. ten more minutes and then he calls it a day. ten more minutes and then he goes home to chalk up another failure on the riley poole is a big loser board.

three of his allotted ten minutes pass by, the hands on his stupid fake rolex limping forward like he’s listening to one of ben’s colonial architecture tangents. he blows invisible dust from a cover. he taps his fingers across the table surface. he sits. 

he thinks about doing this for seven more minutes. he thinks about doing this for twenty more events. he thinks about doing this for the rest of his life. the future stretches out before him, an endless aisle of waiting at empty tables for people who never planned on coming.

oh, who is he kidding?

riley kicks his foot under the table, shoving out the empty cardboard boxes so he can sweep the unopened, unsold books back into storage. it’s gonna be a pain getting it all back into the ferrari, like the world’s saddest game of tetris, and even afterwards he’ll have to reconfigure all the boxes to fit into his living room. his living room, which has become somewhat of a monument to his oh-so-successful writing career. stacks and stacks of cardboard boxes, taking over the space, bursting to overflowing. well, it’s not like he has guests over anyways.

somewhere in front, footsteps pad down the carpeted floor. he doesn’t look up. it’s not for him.

the steps come to a halt oddly close to the table. someone clears their throat.

a familiar voice, “am i in the right place?”

riley’s head jerks up, nearly clipping the edge of the table. from behind a pile of books appears the face of the fbi’s very own special agent sadusky.

“agent sadusky?” riley shakes his head. “sorry, the self-help section is over there.” he points aimlessly. it’s only then that he notices the item in sadusky’s hand. instantly recognizable, given the dozens he has spread around him right now. a copy of riley’s book, coffee cup ring on the cover and the jacket dented. sadusky grins when riley meets his eyes.

“sorry i was late.” the agent shrugs. “we got a tip about somebody trying to steal the constitution.”

it’s 3:41. something lifts in riley’s chest. he settles into his chair and matches sadusky’s smile. “guess originality really is dead,” he says.

TK might be short in stature but he is huge in personality. Fiercely competitive on and off the track, he is also friends with just about everyone. He’s like a favorite crazy uncle, a mischievous prankster yet willing to dispense the wisdom gathered from decades of racing to anyone who needs it. More fit than men more than half his age, he is an avid sportsman, competing in Ironman competitions, marathons and biking competitions. (Don’t touch his bike. Ever. Ask Dario about that.) He also is a big Sim racer, with his own line of Sim rigs, and a ‘hidden’ lair in his house containing two top of the line rigs.

A member of the Indycar ‘Brat pack’ of the late 1990’s. Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti, Max Papis and Greg Moore. Their off track antics were legendary as were their results on the track. TK is the last of that group still racing, with Greg Moore lost in 1999, and Dario and Max long since retired. The 2023 Indy 500 is his last ride.

TK and Dario went on to form a new pack of sorts with Bryan Herta, Scott Dixon, and Dan Wheldon, later adding Marco Andretti as a sort of little brother.

Chicago (USA) - 17 June 2023 - The Rolex United States Sail Grand Prix Chicago got underway yesterday in Chicago, with fans lined along Navy Pier to watch ten teams battle it out in the first event of SailGP Season 4.

Despite a bit of turbulence shoreside for the team since the end of Season 3 last month, Phil Robertson and the Canadian team did what they do best, perform on the water.

Precise starts and seamless teamwork translated into third, first and fifth place finishes meaning that at the end of day one, the team was just two points out of first, just behind New Zealand and Australia.

Going into today, completely different conditions meant that the teams were sailing with the 29 metre wings and just four crew onboard. The extremely light air conditions were fickle, but the Canadians persevered to finish at the top of the leaderboard after five races and progress into the finals against New Zealand and Australia.

“It’s all on when you get to the last race. We had a good sniff at it, but we just didn't quite get there. It was slow, but racing,” said Phil. “Everyone is in the same position, the boats and breeze are identical, so it is still a race. But there is not much you can change in that sort of format, it was a short course and light.”

“We finished third, but for the team as a whole, it’s a great start to the season. We’re over the moon to be on the podium. If we keep this momentum going, we will be in great shape by the end of the season,” said wing trimmer Chris Draper. “Phil is the best starter in the league!” added strategist Isabella Bertold.

“It’s a solid result, with all the chat that was going on and an unsettled lead up to this race, we had our backs against the wall and we delivered,” said Phil.

Also competing in Chicago this weekend were seven young Canadians from the weCANfoil programme. Jackson Macaulay of Halifax finished second overall and Tate Howell (Toronto) was the top Canadian female in the Inspire Regatta.

The team’s sights are now set on the Oracle Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix on 22-23 July.

The mere mortal strikes back

This last week was the height of situational anxiety after my diagnosis and subsequent treating. When I finally began my treatment for Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I hoped this wouldn't happen again. But it did.

Another Open of tennis was announced at Graciosa and, by now, with some investigative work, I learned some more ropes about how things work when a open event happens there.

My planner was ready, I prepared 4 out of the 5 days of competition to enjoy. Remember me saying my biggest regret is not going for a Night Round at the Centre Court?

Well, I had a really nice dinner. During a night round. In the OPENING DAY!

But, damn, the Monday preceding the opening was one of those days in which I was destroyed, and, believe me, I only felt like this DESTROYED 3 times in my life, all of them when I had to give up on my dreams. It poured. Of all days of winter (we are barely having one), it chose to rain in the week of the Open.

Well, once again God held the big big gates of Heaven for me. And I was able to enjoy the Saturday afternoon too!

Considering we are now (supposedly) in winter, dress code was more focused this time in protecting us from the very typical hot sun/ cold wind duo, customary for this time of the year (when the sun makes itself present, a rare occasion). So, heavy coats, snow boots and jackets. It's one of the most relaxed dress codes. Just like the other time, sportswear also applied because most of the spectators were associates who were also playing.

"Oh. It's only two forty-two," he said.

Nick's reaction was not what Damien expected. 

Damien was certain the delay would only have increased Nick's nervousness but he remained completely calm. 

Was it really Anthony who had made a nervous Nick run away to replace it with the Nick that Damien knew?

"What do you mean it's only two forty-two? The presentation was at two o'clock," Damien reminded him, confused.

By the time Nick got ready to answer, heel sounds were heard and an attractive brunette appeared in the ‘waiting room’ displaying a professional smile.

"Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen," the brunette began speaking with a loud voice to be heard by everyone. "I have an announcement to make. The presentation which was supposed to start at 3PM will be slightly delay due to an unexpected event and will now start at 4 pm. We thank you for your much appreciated patience."

The brunette left as quickly as she came and Damien directed his attention to Nick, confused and hungry.

"Wait a minute. Is it me or she said that the presentation was originally supposed to start at 3PM?"

Nick opened his laptop, pretending to be focused on the screen in front of him.

“Ah! You probably didn't hear well. She said 2PM".

Damien looked at Nick for a moment. 

He knew all too well his best friend. 

For starter, Nick was a very bad actor and liar. 

Damien could read him like an open book.

"Nicolas," Damien exclaimed, wanting to get his best friend's attention.

"Hmm," Nick replied, his eyes remaining on the screen.

"The presentation, was it at two or three o'clock?" Damien inquired, who unfortunately realized he already knew the hidden truth.

Nick drew a smirk on his face, while Damien would have liked having a knife in his possession.

"Don't be mad. I just wanted to make sure you'd be there at least an hour in advance."

"You fucking bastard," Damien said, while remaining calm.

Nick's smile grew.

"Yes," Nick agreed. "But you love me so much."

"I'm starving Nick. Is there a cafeteria somewhere?"

"Yeah, there is. I'll give you my card, so you'll get a discount."

"I think that's the only good thing you've done today."

"I know it's your hunger that is speaking and you don't mean it," Nick replied with a smile.

Nick fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a white card, with his picture, his information and the company name on it. 

He handed the card to Damien, who tore it brutally in his hand, before getting up and marching towards the elevator to go to the cafeteria. 

In front of the elevator, Damien received a message from Nick.

[You're welcome. And by the way, I don"t think you know where the cafeteria is, right?]

Damien felt as Nick was doing everything to get a punch in the face today.

[Give me the floor number jerk.]

Damien's belly was acting up. 

He hoped the cafeteria had some excellent meals to offer.

[It's a secret.]

Damien rolled his eyes, sighed and typed his message.

[I'm leaving. Adios asshole.]

Nick's answer didn't take long.

[Twelfth floor.]

Damien couldn't help smiling at the speed of Nick's answer. 

He went to the floor where the cafeteria was. 

He took the food he usually ate and loved. 

And luck was finally on his side since the beginning of the day. 

The food was excellent. 

A pure delight. 

Damien didn't know if it was because he was extremely hungry that influenced his judgment but no matter, he ate his fill.

Around 3:40, Damien received a text from Nick.

[You done already?]

Damien took a picture of his empty plate and answered the text.

[No.]

Nick answered right away.

[Bring your little ass right now.]

Instead of going upstairs to join Nick, Damien decided to call Craig. 

Damien was surprised when Craig answered after two ring.

‘Yes Damien?’ Craig answers, the tone of his voice very impersonal.

‘Oh. Did you just remember that you had a boyfriend?’ Damien said sarcastically, trying to control his anger caused by Craig voluntarily ignoring him since morning.

‘If you're calling me just to argue, I'd rather hang up.’

Damien was silent for a moment, not sure how to continue the conversation without introducing their argument yesterday.

‘I want to see you,’ Damien ends up saying. 

It was Craig's turn to create a silence at the end of the line.

‘I don't think it's a good idea, Damien.’

Damien held back a sigh.

‘Why?’

‘It's too early. I think we still need some time away from each other.’

Damien's face hardened.

‘Well, I disagree. I think a day apart is too much considering the little time we've spent together in the last couple of weeks.’

‘Damien.’

‘No, listen to me, Craig. I won't let this drag on. I'm coming to see you whether you like it or not.’

‘Damien.’

‘I'm hanging up.’

Damien hung up, without letting Craig the time to place a word.

He took a few minutes to calm down and think of the words he would say when he would see Craig. 

Damien was interrupted in his thoughts by a text from Nick ordering him to come upstairs. 

Damien rolled his eyes but still got up from his chair, got rid of it his remaining food and went back to his best friend. 

When Damien arrived to the ‘waiting place’ almost an hour after his departure, he had the impression that nothing had changed and that no one had moved from their place. 

Nick was on his phone, when Damien came to him and sat in his chair.

"It takes you ten years to eat now, Clarke?" Damien handed Nick's card to him who took it, without looking up from his phone.

"I had diarrhea right after, got stuck in the bathroom."

"Very funny," Nick said smiling.

Heel sounds were suddenly heard and the brunette who had come to announce the beginning of the presentations would begin at 4PM appeared in front of them. 

Damien prayed she didn't come to announce another delay, or he would lose it.

"Can I have your attention please? We thank you again for your patience that we appreciated. The presentations will begin in a few minutes. So, if you don't mind following me please."

In a synchronized and automatic way, Nick's colleagues got up and started following the brunette. 

Nick and Damien stood at the same time and followed the little crowd that had formed. 

The two friends were the last of the group and Damien noticed when analyzing Nick's profile that his anxiety had returned.

 After a minute of walking, they arrived at a door that the beautiful young lady opened and entered first. 

She stood motionless in front of the door, smiling as Nick's colleagues entered the room. 

Nick took a moment before entering the room and after a few seconds of hesitation, no doubt due to nervousness, he entered. 

Damien Clark was the last of the group to make his entry. 

The room was the largest conference room Damien had ever seen.

At the very front was a large touch screen with the projector and the computer that were installed in front of it. 

In the middle, a long glass table was placed, as well as black leather armchairs that surrounded it. 

Some of the chairs were empty. 

Those who weren't, were occupied by men in suits. 

Five men to be precise. 

Damien analyzed them one by one trying to be subtle about it. 

The first five were aged fifty to sixty. 

Three of them were bald, one wore glasses and the last one had a particularly stern look. 

To say they looked intimidating was an underrated statement. 

Damien suddenly understood Nick's nervousness and he became himself, awfully nervous. 

It was the first time and probably the last that Damien would meet multimillionaires. 

Damien tried to assure himself anyone would be intimidated if they were in his shoes.

A few yards from the glass table, five rows of five chairs each were placed next to the massive window that overlooked the city. 

Damien and Nick sat next to each other at the last row. 

They were the only ones sitting in that row and Damien was next to the window and couldn't help but look outside. 

The view was lovely and for a while, Damien forgot where he was and that he was on the verge of delivering a presentation in front of men who seemed, from the little he had seen, difficult to impress. 

If Nick and Damien were nervous, the others didn't seem to be. 

Many of them were talking to each other and some of them got up to meet one of the five intimidating men, talking and even laughing with him. 

Nick himself went to see the man and talked with him for a few seconds before coming back to sit on his chair.

To see that eased Damien's nerves a little because it showed that at least one of the men was more less human. 

Suddenly, the room became completely silent. Damien, who was looking at the window, focused his attention to the room to discover the reason for this sudden silence. 

A man had just entered. 

As soon as Damien's eyes and those of the newcomer met, Damien's heart began beating as if someone was threatening him with a weapon. 

His heart was beating so hard he felt like it could be heard. 

His eyes didn't blink at all because they were too busy fixing those of another. Grey eyes. 

Greyer than the sky after a rain. 

An absolutely exquisite grey, as dazzling as the face that wore it. 

As soon as Damien came across those eyes, he recognized who it was. 

It was the insolent man whose beauty was illegal that Damien had met on the ground floor just a few hours ago. 

And just like the first time they met, it was only the man's mannish voice that caused Damien to come back into reality.

"Sorry for the delay," the grey-eyed man apologize with total nonchalance, his eyes directed towards the middle of the room.

The man quickly observed Damien one last time and began walking. 

He reached the back of the room and sat down in the leather chair that was placed at the end of the large glass table and opened the computer he brought with him. 

Damien saw no such thing because he didn't dare turn to look. 

The man was behind him, a few feet away. 

A man he had spilled steaming hot coffee on. 

Intentionally. 

Even worse, a man who was an investor and had the power to put Nick's software on the market. 

No. Not all is lost. 

There were still five men on whom Damien thought he could count. 

He simply needed to convince them by doing one hell of a good presentation. Damien was somewhat reassured. 

If it wasn't for Nick's sake...

‘That bastard.’

Damien would have left the room. 

No, he would have run like never before out of the enormous conference room. 

But he did nothing of the sort. 

He sat there, frozen like a statue, his heart only moving. 

Someone Damien didn't see closed the light and a presentation began. 

Damien had swiftly returned his attention to the window, trying to mentally escape elsewhere since he couldn't do it physically. 

He didn't care it was impolite not to pay attention to what the person was presenting in the front. 

Damien had never been this incredibly nervous all his life and his heart had never had such a beat before. 

Though he was trying to turn off his mind, the questions were bombarding his head.

 He wondered how all this was going to end. 

How would he be feeling once out of this room? 

This room that now looked like a prison. 

How was all this going to be played? 

Damien had to implement all his resistance and refrain with all his force the temptation to not turn around, knowing very well what he would find. 

Knowing very well that the grey-eyed man would be just as much watching him.

2. If you were a luxury brand, what would it be and why?

I would be Rolex because I manage time well and I am usually good at scheduling things. That's not to say I am punctual, but I can arrange events and move events around. The Rolex watch is a good symbol for this skill.

3. Who is your personal hero and why?

My personal hero is Leo Tolstoy because he promoted a tangible existence over an intangible one.

4. How do you react after a conflict occurs, and why?

Two ways: I either freeze or I act defensively.

5. If you were granted 3 wishes, what would it be?

I would Google the basic timeline of it? I don't understand the question.

7. What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

My favorite thing about myself is my ability to arrange and schedule events well before deadlines. This helped me with work and courses because I have preset checkpoints that prevent procrastination.

I am uptight and I react more defensively than I should to real or perceived threats

9. Would you visit the future or past?

I would visit the past. Since I know historical figures from the past, I could have an agenda during the visit and get more out of it. If I visited the future, odds are the technology and way of life of people would be so incomprehensible to me that I would get nothing out of the visit.

10. What are the biggest differences between you today/now and five years ago?

The biggest difference between myself today and myself in my junior year of high school is my sensitivity. In high school I would become uncontrollably excited. There were three incidents during my last couple years of high school that made me realize I needed to become less sensitive. First, I jumped from a desk into a teacher's projector after celebrating a practice win with my academic league team. This caused all class presentations to be skewed by a twenty degree angle for a couple weeks, until a repair person came in to fix it. I also nearly jumped on a rattlesnake nest (which I did not see) after making a bet with a friend that I could jump off a tall rock in a ravine near my school. Finally, I sprained an ankle running into a ditch while racing a neighbor's dog because the dog was chained and I wanted to see him jump up very high and get irritated in an attempt to beat me when he reached the end of his chain. This ended my track and field season and prevented me from lettering. These were embarrassing situations and I realized I needed to have more control over my excitement coming into college. Running every day helped with this, as I simply felt more level-headed. In addition, I try to think more before I say or do something I may regret later on. Finally, I try to stay focused and aware of my surroundings. These adjustments have more or less prevented me from doing anything ridiculous for the past three or so years. Thus, the biggest difference is my ability to prevent myself from doing something idiotic.

      as much as chaeyoung tried to fall asleep that night, she simply couldn't. tossing and turning on her king-sized bed, just replaying all of the events of the past day that led to her and hyunsoo's mini-reunion. instead of being pissed about her laptop breaking down on her when she needed it the most, she makes a mental note to hug her old laptop when she gets it back and thank it, for steering her straight into hyunsoo's arms again. eyes fluttering open, she takes a look at the digital clock on her bedside, groaning when she sees that it was already 3 a.m. " oh my god. i really can't sleep. but i need to sleep. i need the beauty sleep. " she wills herself, closing her eyes shut and counting sheep in her head until she finally drifts away into dreamland.

the next day, the female took her preparation for the date as seriously as she would a red-carpet event. with her whole glam team up in her penthouse, and with her best friend sitting on the side for moral support, chaeyoung sits in the middle of her glam room while three people work on her hair and make-up. was it a little too extra ? one could say that, but she wanted, needed to make sure she looked good for their first actual meeting. " i wouldn't say it's a date. i mean, it's not like hyunsoo was like, 'hey do you wanna go out on a date ?' it was more like, you know, hanging out. unless. . he wants it to be a date ? does he ? " she pouts in slight confusion, talking to her make-up artist, " but even then, i still want to look my best for him. " this was her first love, after all. and as the cliche goes, it never dies.

donning a black, strapless mini dress with matching heels, she heads down her apartment building with her nerves cranked up on high. it didn't take long until she spots hyunsoo's car, and she was soon able to get a good look at him. if she could describe the feeling of seeing him in that outfit, it would feel like someone was doing flips in her stomach. the way he cleaned up nicely was another welcomed surprise to her. she was so used to seeing him in casual clothes and, well, not looking like a whole buffet. of course, she still found him handsome regardless, but this version of him was hitting her differently.

" thank you, handsome. " luckily, she was able to catch his words without fully being distracted by him, offering him a thankful smile as she slipped inside his car. " nice car you got here. " another compliment came out of her, looking around the car. the female wasn't a car fanatic, but she's seen a lot of luxury cars in her lifetime to know she was definitely in one. hearing how nervous he was made her giggle, and she was mentally cursing herself at how timid and shy she also suddenly became around him, " yeah, me too. don't worry. but hey, if you're overdressed, then i'm also overdressed. so don't worry. " she pats the top of his hand that was resting on the gear shift.

" oh, by the way, i got you a little gift. it's just, something to show my appreciation to you for fixing my laptop and helping me out. " chaeyoung holds up a small paper bag, yes. she mentioned it was a little gift, but in chaeyoung's world, a little gift meant a rolex watch. " i'm not sure if you're into watches. but i just randomly picked it up this afternoon before my make-up te- i mean, before i started getting ready for our date. " she flashes him an innocent smile, almost giving away the fact that she had a whole team work on her that day.

why was this so nerve-racking it is not like they were messaging each others for the first time ever. was it the funny feeling in his abdomen and knowing that he will end up meeting her tomorrow again, this time on a date.. or was it a date? he hopes it was. reading up the new texts that were coming in, he was nervous, heart beating loudly in his chest, cheeks hurting from the smiling he had been doing for the past thirty minutes to an hour as he had been texting with chaeyoung. ❛ a dress.. damn. ❜ he speaks to himself, already trying to imagine her in a dress, nodding his head, brows raising. ❛ i really can’t wait to see her tomorrow. ❜ he wants to ask her over tonight too.

and he laughs at himself after sending those, finally done eating and taking things to the kitchen and washes up dishes. then going to get his phone, turning off the tv so he could go to bed. washing his face and brushing his teeth.now in bedroom and getting on bed, phone in his hand as he sends another message and he already knows he was gonna sleep with a smile on his face.

thankfully as the morning arrived he had an off day from work. he woke up rather early like he always did, taking a shower and making sure he looks good and smells good, his clothes for that day were hanging there, white linen, black pants and a black tie. he takes a look at himself in the mirror, nodding his head as he accepts that he was looking handsome, then changed into the fancy clothing, rolling up the sleeves up of his shirt, tightening the tie and with that, he takes his car keys, wallet and everything he needed as he starts to make his way to the black car he owned. sending a quick message to chaeyoung before he actually left, telling her the exact time when he would be arriving and what kind of a car she should be expecting; now on his way to gangnam and of course on his way to pick up chaeyoung as he had gotten the address from her. the music playing on the radio as he was jamming to it, signing a long and turning the steering wheel, already making it to her place and he waits until she comes out and as she does, his eyes widen; heart almost in his throat; she looks so fucking perfect.

of course him being the gentleman, he stops the car, getting out of the front seat and outside and walking around the car from the front. flashing her the brightest smile he could muster. ❛ hey beautiful. ❜ clearly not even waiting a second to compliment on her looks. opening the passenger side door and motioning for her to get inside and as she was in the car he closes the door carefully. mumbling to himself. ❛ i’m so ruined.. ❜ and he jogs to his side, now in the car, engine starting and him getting out of the parking space with the car, head turning to look over at chaeyoung who was sitting beside him. ❛ not gonna lie but i feel a bit nervous, hopefully i’m not overdressed for this. ❜ he chuckles, paying attention to the front again, rolling his lower lip to be between his teeth, trying to fight back the grin.
