DUDE, SERIOUSLY!! let iida be here instead!!! especially because iida tried to be there for shou when he noticed him dissociating and had a great chat trying to cheer each other up and how they’re genuinely good friends and support each other, like??? also iida interacting with fuyumi would be so damn cute, i feel like they’d get along! missed opportunity smh

A quick serious talk here...

I actually record the time from deku sending his location until todoroki come to the back alley. It is 2 mins and 16 seconds....  The flashback of bakugou’s move, other dialogues that make it seems longer and considering how fast they are moving that they need to be showed in slow motion, I think it will be at least 30-40 seconds....To be honest we really need to know the location for Todoroki, because we don’t know how far his original position is... 

How can he get there so fast? Did he already stalk deku from the start?

The most major ship name for Tododeku in Japanese! Combining “Todoroki” & “Izuku”. Since Shoto is on the left side here it can also refer to them where Shoto is the “top”, or the one more in love/more proactive/taking the lead.

Same as above but written in hiragana instead of kanji. Fans may write it like this because they like the way it looks better, it fits their layout/art better, b/c they don’t want to attract attention by posting with the fandom’s biggest ship name/hashtag, etc

This is an abbreviation of the main ship name “Todoizu” using only the first letters of the Japanese characters used— To-Do-I-Zu.

Shodeku

This is their hero ship name! A combination of Shoto and Deku, Shoto and Izuku’s currently announced hero names. Both their hero names are written in katakana so this is too. It seems to be used mostly for art/stories about them in the future as pro heroes.

Pro Hero Todoizu

In addition to “Shodeku” you’ll also see people just say “Pro Hero Todoizu” when tagging or talking about them as pro heroes.

This is another general Shoto x Izuku ship name, sometimes used the same way Todoizu is. Since Izuku is on the left it’s more often used to refer to them as a ship where Izuku is the “top” or one more in love/proactive/taking the lead etc.

This is used for talking about the Tododeku ship in the fantasy AU! Japanese fans often call the fantasy AU “jikketsu” which means “best 10”— this was what was written on the popularity poll results where the official fantasy AU art first appeared.

This literally means “Back alley” & is used to refer to Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida because they fought Stain together in a back alley. This name isn’t only for shipping or for Tododeku— it’s about the trio in general as friends. Sometimes shipping stuff too!

This is generally used for Shoto x Female Izuku (Genderswap Izuku). Quite a bit of Japanese fan art and comics with this theme.

Side story volume! And it’s a good one, too. The volume contains 4 short stories. The first three take place before volume 2 and focus on the main trio. Each story focuses on one of the members of the trio and they are told from two seperate POVs. Kaito’s is incredibly nostalgic as it focuses on him adjusting to life with Elizabeth. He’s developed so much in the series that it was fun to see him back in his volume 1 state. I particularly liked Elizabeth’s story, which had a focus on her relationship with Hina that was very cute. Hina’s story is the most comedic and it’s a lot of fun as she goes missing for a day and Elizabeth and Kaito are frantically searching for her. Between these stories are little segments named “Someone’s Message”. We don’t know who’s speaking and who they are speaking to but the excerpts run throughout the volume and are intriguing. The final story is just crazy fun as it takes on a wonderland-like story with all the main characters appearing. It also made me tear up a little and Jeanne and Izabella had some really cute and funny moments. I loved it. Overall, this volume is not needed to understand the events of the main story but it is a lot of fun and a must-read for fans of the series.
