This year I am participating in two year long challenges. 2017 Edelweiss and NetGalley Reading Challenge #ROCKMYTBR Challenge
So I was supposed to be updating this at the end of each month, but that didn’t happen… 🙂 So my last update was at the end of January. My reading since then has been terrible!!
Lets take a look at what I managed to read for the last 5 months… I have read fourteen books… Four were from publishers and had nothing to do with my challenges. Two books from Edelweiss, six books from NetGalley and two off of my shelf. Pretty poor effort..
The Fifth Letter by Nicola Moriarty (Edelweiss)
Rush of Blood by Mark Billingham (NetGalley)
The One by John Marrs (NetGalley)
One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus (NetGalley)
Grit by Gillian French (Edelweiss)
Final Girls by Riley Sager (NetGalley)
Remember Me by Sara Wolf (NetGalley)
Ashes to Ashes by Valerie Thomas (NetGalley)
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
Other Books I Read…
Twist (Dive Bar #2) by Kylie Scott (Macmillan)
The Girlfriend by Michelle Frances (Macmillan)
Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde (Macmillan)
The Barrier by Shankari Chandran (Macmillan)
Current Reads…
Best Day Ever by Kaira Rouda (Harlequin)
The Toorak Jackpot by Rosemary Macindoe (NetGalley)
Need You Dead by Peter James (Macmillan)
One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake (Edelweiss)
How are you going with your challenges this year?

January 2017 Recap
My January 2017 Recap and February TBR! #janrecap #febtbr
The first 33 days of 2017 are officially in the books. Only 332 to go! While we saw mourned many more celebrity deaths in January 2016 (David Bowie, Alan Rickman, René Angélil, Abe Vigoda–to name a few) than this past January (Mary Tyler Moore), we still mourn for them nonetheless. A few other notable events that happened this past January include a new United States President was inaugurated,…

I got so much BEAUTIFUL BOOKMAIL today I could scream. Is it just me, or is BOOKMAIL the best thing ever? I'm so ready to jump into one of the books I got, but I have so many submissions for tomorrow and I'm just getting started. Sigh. I'm currently reading #RedRising by Pierce Brown for the #RockMyTBR challenge and it's been MEDIOCRE at best. I'm really struggling to connect with Darrow and the world in general. I bought Morning Star at my local bookstore, but now I'm sad because I don't know if the series is for me, and that I wasted money. Sigh. QOTD: Favourite Space Series?

#RockMyTBR January Update (2019)
#RockMyTBR January Update (2019)
Hi everyone! I hope everyone’s January wasn’t too taxing, I know that January feels like the month that goes on for ever (I swear how is it only just February, it felt like January was a whole year on it’s own) but it’s over now and hopefully we all had good ones! For those of you who are new to my blog, the #RockMyTBR challenge is a challenge set up by Sarah K at The YA Book Traveller in 2016,…

Book Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Book Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Genres: sci-fi; YA; re-telling Why I read it: Everyone seems to love it and it’s been sitting on my shelf for a couple of years. I also used it for “A series you want to read (start and finish)” for the New Year’s Resolution Book Tag, even though I only had book one, and it was one of the books I referenced for the #RockMyTBR Challenge. Who I’d recommend it to: People who really love re-tellings…

#RockMyTBR 2022 Challenge
Hi everyone! We’re almost at the end of 2021 and it cannot come soon enough, though I’m definitely not making any predictions about 2022 being better this time around because it feels like a great way to get burned again. My #RockMyTBR Challenge this year never really got off the ground, I’ve really struggled with reading physical books this year, I’ve just not been in the mood for anything on my…

#RockMyTBR Challenge
Hosted by The YA Book Traveler, this challenge is meant to motivate us to read the books already published, instead of ARCs and such. I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of books I’ve neglected (some for well over 10 years, eek!) in favor of newer releases and ARCs. I don’t think I’ll try to read specific books for this challenge, but I will list a few I’m thinking about because they’ve been…

I can’t believe that March is over or that we are already a quarter of the way through the year! It feels like 2016 just started yesterday. Last month was both uneventful (blogging-wise) and eventful (personally) at the same time.
March was the month in which I turned a year older ( and am now one year closer to needing to get botox). I went to an Alpaca Farm which was as adorable as it sounds!!! I wanted to take all of them home with me
I was also lucky enough to go to and see Danu, which in case you didn’t know it’s a band from Ireland that plays traditional Irish music. My little sister completed her R.A.D exams and I got to see her perform (I’m not going to lie, I teared up a bit). Other than that I didn’t do anything else that notable. Most of last month was spent either out in the snow, taking long walks around the lake, eating lots of cake or taking a million pictures of flowers!
I couldn’t get around to posting anything until the last two weeks of March because I had so much homework. :( I know that I say this all of the time but it’s honestly the only reason why I don’t post regularly. So this is going to be a very short section in this wrap up.
I read six amazing books this month:
The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson – 4.5 stars
Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman – 4 stars
The Crown and the Arrow by Renee Adieh – 4.5 Stars
The Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke by Anne Blankman – 5 stars
Don’t Get Caught by Kurt Dinan -4 stars
The Forbidden Orchid by Shannon Biggs Waller – 4stars
Books I reviewed:
Don’t Get Caught By Kurt Dinan
The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry
This month I received six books:
All The Feels by Danika Stone – e-arc for review
Wild Swans by Jessica Spotswood – Physical copy sent to me by the author for review
Girl About Town by Adam Shankman & Laura L. Sullivan – e-arc for review
The Forbidden Orchid by Shannon Biggs Waller – e-arc for review
Liars and Losers Like Us by Ami Allen-Vath – Arc tour
Where You’ll Find Me by Natasha Friend – e-arc for review
I’m very excited to read and review all of these incredible books that I hauled this month! Hopefully I’ll blog more often this month and read as many incredible books as I did in March. So let me know, did you haul any of these books? Have you read any of the books mentioned in this post? If so let me know in the comments below!!!!!
XOXO, V.
