Hello Battle Network/NT Warrior fandom, it's been a while!!

I posted a new one-shot, of an alternate/possible backstory for Maddy and ColorMan! Not a prequel to anything I've posted nor anything else I'm planning, this is moreso a standalone backstory just to see how different I could make it while also making it still fairly plausible for the games/anime/manga.

I was lucky enough to score Blues/Proto Man as my character to draw! I wanted to do something widely outside my comfort zone, and the first thing I thought of are Japanese sumi-e ink paintings.

It was a lot of fun (and very hard) to try something like this, and I hope you all enjoy it too :D

This is based off a BN AU I'm cooking up with a friendo (you know who you are >:3) that this Kalinka's mother. We never see her mother figure in the Classic games and it probably would've been the same if she was officially placed in the game so why not give her face and name?

And if you think she's going to be throughout the story...This is the EXE universe...tragedy happens...(I'm sorry X,D)

FUN FACT: She was going to be a nameless/faceless parent like how Chaud and Sonia's mother was but developed into a full character.

I had the colors for this finished by the time I decided to try and get the rest of my Maddy and Match cover arts done within the year. So decided to just use gradients for simplified shading/lighting.

Anyways, yeah, Match and his Navis and food!! :D

me writing asuna now, with this character design: “actually asuna was and is a Rad Mom, she’s just overprotective of kaita because she doesn’t want him doing anything crazy, such as catching wind of what she and turboman used to do on the rally circuit and getting murked following in her footsteps. (she is not nearly as good at watching the bullshit as she is at being in the center of the bullshit.)  she chose to retire and have a kid on her own terms, once she was good and ready, and now channels her competitive energy into winning gardening society awards.  Moms Rock.”
