@robotsbestfriend​ Well, then! After Eklemata, Ark fells into a three year long coma and then wakes up in Lhasa, his power to talk with animals and plants vanished, right? I think that maybe Ark shouldn’t have lived past Eklemata. My reason for this? That weird ass scene you get after you bet the Darkmorph. We see a scene that shows how life appears and the cycle of life, then a monster comes and destroys life. A hero appears and destroys the monster. The shadowy figure is getting focus and it turns out to be Ark. Ark then “dies” in that video.  Of course in game, Ark wakes up in Lhasa and continues his quest. But, uh, which quest? Ark doesn’t have a quest anymore. Technically, his journey is over, he gave life back to the planet, so why should he still hang around?  Ark himself isn’t too sure himself, only Lord Kumari, who states that he belongs to nothing, says that he is important. That is part of a MUCH longer theory, so I don’t talk about it yet.  So, after Ark has woken up, he feels a bit like a drifter. He doesn’t have a clear goal, he only goes where people point him too. His first stop is Louran and he only goes there becaue Mei-Hou asked him to. After he visited Louran, Ark crosses the desert. We don’t know why, there is no reason for Ark to cross the desert, but I just think that he grew curious about the state of the world. It is then when he comes across Light Elle and the village of Storkolm. A mystery that he cannot grasp. Why is there a person that looks exactly like his Elle from the Underworld and why is there a village that looks exactly like his? The thing is, after you have solved the whole Elle quest and made her speak again, the game forces you to sleep and you are getting treated to a dream of the Elder. The Elder gives Ark a new quest, to find the geniuses of the world.  It is clear why the Elder wants for the world to grow up quick, because he needs Ark to wake up Beruga.  I am just wondering... why did the Elder only contact Ark AFTER he had seen Elle and Storkolm?  So, my theory is... Ark was supposed to die after the battle in Eklemata, his task over. The Elder sustained his body though, so that he would survive, but didn’t account for Ark to fall into a coma. He tried contact him again and again, but it didn’t work, because Ark was in a coma, so he gave up for a while and then tried it again after a certain time passed. In that time, Ark had woken up and seen the village of Storkolm. That hadn’t been accounted for. But whatever, back to the plan, make Ark wake up Beruga. So... My theory is, that Ark was supposed to die post Eklemata.  That’s it, that’s the theory.
