@howlingwolf23 and I were trying to figure out how big the mass was they removed. Jason said the Dr said it was 15cm across which would be about 6 in across. So here's our best fabric remake. Also pics of my nearly healed tiny incision spots and the cut up uterus, fallopian tubes, and right ovary. Very unhappy about it being cut up and dyed blue.

Support for Hysterectomy and Oophorectomy
Hello! I'm raising funds for a hysterectomy and oophorectomy. Any help would be appreciated. I've had ovarian cysts, which are incredibly painful (I was concerned that my appendix burst the first time I experienced one rupturing); I would like to reduce my risk of cancer; and infertility is necessary in order to prevent the worst-case scenario (I plan on adopting). Here's a link to the GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/aed07e5a

So I was a little bit scared or surgery and anesthesia and all this stuff, as I've never had major medical crap like this before. Like, it's a little difficult to avoid horror stories or not get intimidated by a laundry list of possible complications.
But what I got was a robot-assisted total hysterectomy. Like. Robot arms in tiny holes in my abdomen. That is...some sci fi shit, honestly. Right from video game space ship med bays.
It's been four days and I feel mostly great? Like are you sure I had major organs removed? I just think it's a little bit neat that medical technology is allowing minimally-invasive, robot arm surgeries where you just go home and take ibuprofen and nap and it's fine. Wild.
(Like obviously I have to take it easy and be careful ofc, no driving or lifting and i feel weird here n there and also had a weird reaction to my adhd meds but still)
Idk science is cool sometimes.

Understanding Common Gynaecological Surgeries Available in Jagatpura, Jaipur
Gynaecological surgeries are crucial for diagnosing and treating various conditions affecting the female reproductive system. In recent years, gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura have gained popularity due to the availability of advanced medical facilities, experienced specialists, and cutting-edge technology. Located in the vibrant city of Jaipur, Jagatpura is home to many reputed clinics and hospitals, offering high-quality care for women’s health. Whether it’s routine procedures or complex surgeries, gynaecological surgeries in Jaipur cater to the diverse needs of women.
In this blog, we will delve into the most common gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur, their benefits, and the reasons why women are increasingly choosing Jagatpura as their go-to destination for gynaecological care.
1. Hysterectomy: Removal of the Uterus
There are different types of hysterectomies:
Total Hysterectomy: The entire uterus and cervix are removed.
Subtotal Hysterectomy: Only the uterus is removed, leaving the cervix intact.
Radical Hysterectomy: This procedure is done when cancer is diagnosed and involves removing the uterus, cervix, and surrounding tissues.
Best gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur for hysterectomy are often minimally invasive, meaning that many patients can recover faster and experience less pain post-surgery. Laparoscopic or robotic-assisted techniques are commonly used, offering smaller incisions, shorter recovery times, and lower risk of complications.
2. Laparoscopic Surgery: Minimally Invasive Approach
One of the significant advancements in gynaecological surgeries in Jaipur is the widespread use of laparoscopic surgery, also known as keyhole surgery. This minimally invasive technique uses small incisions through which a camera and specialized instruments are inserted to perform the surgery.
Laparoscopic surgery has revolutionized the way gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura are conducted, especially for conditions like endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and fibroids. The benefits of laparoscopic surgery include:
Smaller incisions, which means less scarring.
Shorter hospital stay and quicker recovery times.
Less post-operative pain, allowing patients to return to their daily routine sooner.
This type of surgery is now commonly available at leading hospitals in Jagatpura, making it easier for women to opt for less invasive, more effective treatment options.
3. Ovarian Cystectomy: Removal of Ovarian Cysts
An ovarian cystectomy is the surgical removal of ovarian cysts, which are fluid-filled sacs that can develop on the ovaries. While many cysts are harmless, some can cause severe pain, affect fertility, or lead to complications like ovarian torsion. Gynaecological surgeries Jagatpura for ovarian cysts are highly effective, with advanced diagnostic techniques ensuring that the right type of cyst is treated properly.
Depending on the size and type of cyst, the surgery can be done through laparoscopy, allowing for a faster recovery and minimal scarring. Women who experience recurrent cysts or those that cause complications may find this surgery to be life-changing, restoring their health and peace of mind.
4. Myomectomy: Removal of Uterine Fibroids
Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus that affect many women, especially those of reproductive age. They can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pain, and pressure on the bladder or rectum. In some cases, fibroids may need to be surgically removed through a procedure called myomectomy.
A myomectomy is performed to preserve the uterus, making it an ideal option for women who wish to retain their fertility. The procedure can be done using:
Traditional surgery with a large incision.
Laparoscopic surgery, which offers a less invasive approach.
The availability of the best gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur ensures that women can receive high-quality care tailored to their needs. Experienced surgeons can assess the fibroids’ size, location, and type, recommending the best course of action.
5. Endometrial Ablation: Treatment for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Endometrial ablation is a procedure used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding, often caused by conditions like heavy menstrual bleeding or endometrial hyperplasia. During this procedure, the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is destroyed using heat, cold, or electrical energy. This surgery can significantly reduce or stop excessive bleeding, and in many cases, it can prevent the need for a hysterectomy.
Gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur that offer endometrial ablation are typically performed using minimally invasive techniques, which help reduce recovery time and provide better outcomes for women.
6. Pelvic Organ Prolapse Surgery: Restoring Pelvic Health
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic organs, such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum, descend into the vaginal canal due to weakened pelvic floor muscles. This condition can cause discomfort, urinary incontinence, and difficulty with bowel movements. Surgical intervention is often required to restore the organs to their proper position.
Gynaecological surgeries Jagatpura for pelvic organ prolapse may include procedures such as sacrocolpopexy, where mesh is used to support the pelvic organs, or vaginal repair surgery to tighten the pelvic floor muscles.
Conclusion
With the increasing demand for advanced healthcare, gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur have become more accessible, providing women with reliable, safe, and effective treatment options. Whether it’s a hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgery, myomectomy, or endometrial ablation, women in Jagatpura can rest assured that they will receive world-class care.
Choosing the best gynaecological surgeries in Jagatpura Jaipur means opting for highly skilled professionals, modern medical facilities, and personalized treatment plans. If you’re considering a gynaecological surgery, Jagatpura offers some of the finest healthcare options for women’s reproductive health.

Finding the Best Fibroid Surgeon in UAE and Dubai:Â What You Need to Know
If you’re in the UAE and dealing with fibroids, finding a highly qualified fibroid surgeon in Dubai or across the UAE is essential. Uterine fibroids, also known as leiomyomas, are non-cancerous growths that develop in the uterus, and although they are usually benign, they can cause uncomfortable symptoms. These may include heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure, impacting your quality of life. This guide will help you understand what to look for in a fibroid surgeon in the UAE, the treatment options available, and why expert care is essential.
Understanding Fibroids and Treatment Options
Uterine fibroids vary in size, number, and location within the uterus, leading to a range of symptoms. Treatment approaches can range from medication to surgical procedures, depending on the severity and impact of the fibroids. Often, fibroid removal is recommended when fibroids cause significant symptoms. A specialized fibroid surgeon in Dubai will typically offer various surgical options, such as:
Myomectomy: A targeted surgery to remove fibroids while preserving the uterus, ideal for women who plan to conceive in the future.
Hysterectomy: Complete removal of the uterus, typically recommended for women who do not wish to have children or for those with severe fibroid issues.
Minimally Invasive Surgery: Techniques like laparoscopy or robotic-assisted surgery, which allow for smaller incisions, reduced pain, and shorter recovery time.
Choosing the Right Fibroid Surgeon in UAE and Dubai
When looking for a fibroid surgeon in the UAE, especially in Dubai, it’s important to consider factors like specialization, experience, and patient reviews. Here’s what to prioritize:
Specialization in Fibroid Surgery: A general gynecologist may not be enough if you need specialized care. Look for surgeons with expertise in uterine fibroid treatments, as they will have more experience with complex cases and innovative techniques.
Reputation and Credentials: Check the surgeon’s credentials and affiliations with renowned hospitals in Dubai or across the UAE. Membership in professional bodies and certifications from reputable institutions can also signal expertise.
Minimally Invasive Techniques: Minimally invasive procedures are becoming the standard for fibroid surgery, as they offer faster recovery and fewer complications. Find a surgeon who is proficient in these techniques, like robotic-assisted or laparoscopic myomectomy.
Personalized Patient Care: Every patient’s fibroid experience is unique. A quality fibroid surgeon in Dubai will provide tailored advice, considering factors like your age, symptoms, and family planning goals.
Conclusion
Finding a skilled fibroid surgeon in Dubai or the broader UAE can make all the difference in achieving a successful outcome and regaining quality of life. Be proactive in researching your options, consulting with specialists, and exploring the best treatment approach for your needs. Understanding Uterine Fibroids: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment
Understanding Uterine Fibroids: A Global Health Perspective
Uterine fibroids, also known as leiomyomas or myomas, are one of the most common health issues affecting women worldwide, particularly during their reproductive years. These noncancerous tumors develop in the muscle tissue of the uterus and can vary greatly in size, shape, and location. While fibroids are generally benign, they can lead to a wide range of symptoms and complications, prompting women from different cultures and regions to seek appropriate treatment. From menstrual irregularities to pelvic discomfort, fibroids can significantly impact women's lives in diverse ways.
Causes of Fibroids
The exact cause of fibroids remains uncertain, but several factors contribute to their growth. Hormonal imbalances, especially high levels of estrogen and progesterone, are key drivers in the development of fibroids. Additionally, genetic factors, ethnicity, age, and lifestyle can all influence the likelihood of developing fibroids. For example, fibroids are more prevalent in women of African descent, highlighting the need for increased awareness and culturally sensitive approaches to treatment in various global communities.
Symptoms of Fibroids
Fibroids can present a wide range of symptoms that vary significantly from one woman to another. Some women may experience no symptoms, while others may endure considerable discomfort. Common symptoms include:
Menstrual Changes: Heavy bleeding, prolonged periods, and irregular cycles can severely affect a woman's quality of life.
Pelvic Pain and Pressure: A feeling of fullness, pressure, or pain in the pelvic area is often reported.
Frequent Urination or Bladder Issues: Larger fibroids may press against the bladder, causing frequent urination or difficulty emptying the bladder fully.
Backache or Leg Pain: Fibroids can exert pressure on nearby nerves, leading to pain in the back or legs.
Constipation or Bowel Discomfort: Pressure on the rectum from fibroids can cause constipation or bowel-related issues.
Enlarged Abdomen: In some cases, fibroids can cause the uterus to enlarge, leading to a noticeable increase in abdominal size.
Diagnosis of Fibroids
Diagnosing fibroids typically involves a pelvic examination, ultrasound, or MRI imaging. In certain cases, additional diagnostic tools such as hysteroscopy or saline infusion sonography are used to assess the size, number, and exact location of the fibroids. Accurate diagnosis is crucial to determine the most suitable treatment approach tailored to the patient’s needs.
Treatment Options
Treatment for fibroids is designed to relieve symptoms, prevent complications, and improve overall well-being. Options include:
Medications: Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists, and progestin-releasing IUDs can help control menstrual bleeding and reduce fibroid size.Â
Minimally Invasive Procedures: Uterine artery embolization (UAE), magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery (MRgFUS), and laparoscopic or robotic-assisted myomectomy are advanced options that aim to remove or shrink fibroids while preserving the uterus.
Surgical Intervention: For severe symptoms or large fibroids, hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) may be recommended, especially for women who do not wish to have children in the future.
Watchful Waiting: In cases where fibroids are asymptomatic or cause only mild symptoms, regular monitoring may be sufficient.
A Global Call to Awareness and Action
Uterine fibroids present a significant challenge to women globally, yet advances in medical research and technology continue to expand the range of treatment options available. A personalized approach, where women actively engage in discussions with their healthcare providers, empowers them to make informed choices about their health. By raising global awareness, supporting further research, and fostering open conversations, women across the world can access the knowledge and care needed to manage fibroids effectively.

What is Minimally Invasive Surgery?
Minimally invasive OB/GYN surgery involves simple procedures that help Dr. Modi diagnose or treat gynecological conditions, such as:
Uterine polyps
Abnormal or heavy uterine bleeding
Endometriosis
Gynecological cancers
Pelvic inflammatory disease
Pelvic adhesions
Ectopic pregnancies
Ovarian cysts
Uterine fibroids
Pelvic pain
The type of minimally invasive surgery you require is based on which gynecological condition you have and its severity.
What are the benefits of minimally invasive surgery?
Minimally invasive OB/GYN surgery offers numerous benefits compared with more invasive gynecological procedures. Examples include:
Safety
Less blood loss
Smaller incisions
Less pain
Reduced scarring
Lower risk of complications
Shorter hospital stays
Faster recovery
Dr. Navita Modi uses the most advanced technology and procedures available during minimally invasive surgeries, such as the da Vinci robotics surgical system for better precision and accuracy.
Which minimally invasive surgeries are available?
After reviewing your symptoms, completing a physical exam, and ordering blood or imaging tests when necessary, Dr. Modi lets you know if minimally invasive surgery is right for you. She may recommend:
da Vinci Robotics Surgery
During da Vinci robotics surgery, Dr. Modi uses robot-assisted technology for better precision and accuracy with minimal trauma to surrounding tissues.
Hysteroscopic Surgery
Hysteroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery that doesn’t require incisions and is associated with minimal recovery time.
Vaginal Surgery
Vaginal surgery is the most minimally invasive approach to gynecological surgery and doesn’t require abdominal incisions.
Advanced Laparoscopy
Laparoscopic surgery is associated with minimal incisions and scarring, less discomfort, and a quicker recovery than traditional open gynecological procedures.
Which minimally invasive surgery is right for me?
Sometimes minimally invasive surgery is an elective procedure, while in other cases it’s necessary to prevent complications associated with gynecological problems.
For example, you might elect endometrial ablation to decrease heavy uterine bleeding, or you may choose tubal ligation or a hysterectomy to permanently prevent pregnancy.
If you have cancerous tissue or an OB/GYN condition associated with infertility, Dr. Modi might recommend surgical intervention. She also uses minimally invasive surgery to diagnose gynecological conditions and establish the most appropriate treatment.
Here is the list of Hospitals Dr. Modi performs surgeries at:
Inova Alexandria Hospital 4320 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22304

Why Laparoscopic Gynecology & Urology Are Important For Doctors?
Laparoscopic gynecology and urology are minimally invasive surgical techniques that have become increasingly important for doctors in these specialties. These techniques offer significant benefits over traditional open surgery and have transformed patient care in many ways. The Laparoscopic Gynecology Urology Instruments Manufacturer In India makes the best instruments, and today we will talk about why laparoscopic gynecology and urology are important for doctors:
1. Minimally Invasive Approach
Reduced Trauma: Laparoscopic surgery involves making small incisions rather than large ones, resulting in less trauma to the patient's body. This is particularly important in delicate areas like the pelvis and abdomen, where traditional surgery could cause significant tissue damage.
Lower Risk of Complications: Smaller incisions reduce the risk of infection, bleeding, and other complications. This improves patient outcomes and reduces the need for extended hospital stays.
2. Enhanced Precision and Control
High-Definition Visualization: Laparoscopic procedures are performed using a camera that provides a magnified, high-definition view of the internal organs. This allows doctors to operate with greater precision, especially in complex cases involving delicate structures.
Better Access to Difficult Areas: The laparoscopic approach allows surgeons to reach and treat areas that may be challenging to access through open surgery, such as deep pelvic organs or small spaces in the urinary tract.
3. Shorter Hospital Stays
Outpatient Procedures: Many laparoscopic procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis, meaning patients can go home the same day. This reduces hospital costs and minimizes the disruption to patients' lives.
Lower Healthcare Costs: Shorter hospital stays and faster recovery times translate into lower overall healthcare costs, making laparoscopic surgery a cost-effective option for both patients and healthcare systems.
4. Broader Treatment Options
Wide Range of Procedures: Laparoscopy is versatile and can be used for various gynecological and urological procedures, such as hysterectomy, endometriosis treatment, myomectomy, pelvic organ prolapse repair, prostatectomy, and kidney stone removal.
Advanced Techniques: Laparoscopic surgery can be combined with other advanced techniques, such as robotic-assisted surgery, to further enhance precision and control, allowing for the treatment of complex conditions that might otherwise require open surgery.
5. Better Cosmetic Outcomes
Smaller Scars: Laparoscopic surgery results in smaller, less noticeable scars, which is an important consideration for many patients, particularly in gynecology where the cosmetic outcome can significantly impact a patient's self-esteem.
Less Scarring: Minimizing scarring not only improves cosmetic outcomes but also reduces the risk of adhesions, which can lead to chronic pain or complications in future surgeries.
