you ever see robin say “i want to live” and immediately start bawling because she’s lived her whole life thinking she never should’ve been born or died on ohara and being treated like a disgusting cursed demon until she met luffy? that saul’s words came true and she has a home to come back to now? “no one in this world is meant to be alone” just ringing through her mind and being the only thing that kept her going for decades????

+ POCKET WATCH & I DO ADORE OWLS TOO. Though the ticking may stop, it's classic exterior lasts far longer! How did you develop your dark-ish style of writing (inspo from books you've read? fave authors? films? etc.)? I'm so glad you like LD&R!! Any episodes that had taken your fancy in particular? Feel free to send any books/music/films recs too btw, my curious mind is always seeking uncharted waters. Could I ask Q5 + Q8 for AIIS and Q9 for Dante's Inferno pretty please? 🌹 x
thank you~ owls are my favourite. i supposed my dark-ish writing style emerged ever since i was a child. i watched horror movies and tv series at such a young age and i still love them till now. as a child used to have nightmares from them... can i call it nightmares when i’m not afraid of it? i always look forward to the next “nightmare” because i’m intrigued and enjoyed what my mind conjured up whilst asleep. medical thriller and crime fiction novels came into my life unexpectedly and added to it. (i have lot of pluto energy in my chart can you tell? my scorpio ascendant is thriving). i adore yrsa sigurdardottir, agatha christie, stieg larsson, robin cook, michael crichton and f. scott fitzgerald’s writings.
there are so many episodes i loved. beyond the aquila rift, sonnie’s edge, the witness, the secret war, shapeshifters, zima blue. the chills i got whilst watching them. i may or may not have a crush on sonnie. i’ll make sure to get back to you when i have more recs but at the moment i found a new song that’s been on repeat, please by dpr live. and as i’m always on my agenda to spread plt and villain’s discographies, i’m particularly taken by igoholic (plt) and soap opera (villain).
you can ask anything your heart desires.
5. which aspect of [aits’] setting did you find most interesting to write?
seonghwa! in the entire series he’s the only one in a relationship. i never have a backstory of how he found his partner and how they got together. i was writing most of his part blindly.
8. in your opinioun, did the setting in [aits] present any new sides to the characters that aren’t explored in the source material/canon content?
definitely. i don’t know the boys in person so i can only infer their personalities from what they present on screen. in real life will wooyoung dance with a stranger on a pub? will yeosang walk a customer home? will jongho sing someone to sleep in the park? all in the fun for writing 😊
9. did you use any photo references to help visualize the overall setting or specific scenes in [d.i]?
i didn’t actually, most of them i recall from memory. there’s for one instance where i need to know a precinct layout so i did look it up. the precinct’s anomaly department is based on gotham’s gcpd office (from the tv series).

Hellboy in Hell: The Death Card - Chapter Three: The Hounds of Pluto
Words & Art: Mike Mignola | Colours: Dave Stewart | Letters: Clem Robins
Originally published by Dark Horse in Hellboy in Hell #8 | September 2015
Collected in Hellboy in Hell - Volume 2: The Death Card | Hellboy in Hell Library Edition | Hellboy Omnibus Volume 4: Hellboy in Hell
Plot Summary:
After helping Hoffman deal with Wilhelm, Hellboy gets assistance with what’s been plaguing him, the Furies.
Reading Notes:
(Note: Pagination is solely in reference to the chapter itself and is not indicative of anything within the issue or collections.)
Tumblr media
pg. 1 - The “Somewhere in Hell” openings are still somewhat unnerving. Being unfixed in a specific space, even knowing the general location of “hell” keeps you off-balance. Especially when you’re fighting a giant...whatever Wilhelm is.
Also, great sound effects from Clem Robins.
Tumblr media
pg. 4 - This fight between Hellboy and Wilhelm, even after Wilhelm gets trapped in the dead cat is hilarious. I love the absurdity of this entire sequence.
pg. 5 - One punch. And all the colour goes out again. It’s impressive how it can go from the life and action of the reds and oranges back to grey all of a sudden. It’s a dramatic and huge immediate tonal shift.
Tumblr media
pg. 7 - This bit mocking “Hellboy” is hilarious. Though I couldn’t think of naming anything else. How far would he have got if we were reading about “Gus Frankson, Hellboy” instead of just “Hellboy”?
These greyscale sequences, too, give me a feeling of German expressionist films like M. and Metropolis, also things like Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal. This feel has been present throughout a lot of this volume and it really adds to the overall existential impression of the story.
pg. 8-9 - I love this summary of what’s been going on in Hell and on Earth prior to this point, including a bit of family history.
Tumblr media
pg. 10 - This is just gorgeous. The execution of this portion of the story is incredible. From Hellboy’s death, through to accepting the dagger to kill Satan. Just the imagery of the dagger alone is impressive as it continues through as a motif in subsequent panels.
pg. 12 - Beautiful splash of what’s ailing Hellboy.
Tumblr media
pg. 13 - The design for the Furies is quite interesting here. I described them before as kind of insect or fly-like when we saw one of them last chapter, but they also kind of look like fetal birds. It’s a vast difference from the traditional winged woman or harpy-like appearance that we often see. It’s a very nice departure that gives them an entirely more ominous feel and one that is more consistent with many of the designs for Hellboy.
Also, another repetition of that bloody dagger.
pg. 14 - It’s interesting here. Hellboy--and I suppose we as the reader-- was expecting the Furies to say that he was accused of murdering Satan. It was why he was resigned to his fate. This is unexpected and deepens the story here.
Tumblr media
pg. 15 - Mike Mignola and Dave Stewart really outdo themselves here. This is just impressive use of colour and iconography. Very powerful way of the Furies finding out the truth of Hellboy’s actions.
Tumblr media
pg. 16 - Hellboy’s family is messed up. In case I haven’t said that before. This tie back to Hellboy: The Midnight Circus is great. That’s one of my favourite Hellboy stories and working it back into the narrative here just enhances the reveal of Hellboy’s sister. Though, it does kind of make that seeming attempt at seduction all the more disturbing.
Tumblr media
pg. 18 - Some thing’s are probably best left unknown.
Tumblr media
pg. 20 - You can just stare at this for ages. The mix of red and black is haunting and just leads you down the page, just like Hellboy’s sister’s path.
pg. 21 - The method for the destruction of Pandemonium is utterly bizarre.
Tumblr media
pg. 22 - In the end, there just seems to be darkness.
Tumblr media
pg. 23 - Hellboy bringing back light and colour to light his cigarette is a very powerful image.
pg. 24 - But it feels fleeting here at the dying tree.
Tumblr media
Final Thoughts:
To me, this is one of Mike Mignola’s masterpieces. It’s one of the stories that incorporates many of the pieces that go to make up the quintessential Hellboy story, from gallows humour to action to the incorporation of mythological elements, but there’s a gravity there that comes through that makes it feel important.
There’s a through line in this chapter that ties together the mess that has been Hellboy’s family, as introduced in this series and beyond, as we get a kind of personal history for him. But it’s rife with sadness. With grief. With pain. And ultimately with death. It brings together an overall character element of loss and desperation that embraces that kind of fatalistic outlook for the apocalypse. That everything around Hellboy is destined to crumble and decay.
All within the confines of some of the most gorgeous, most iconic, imagery in the series to date.

ok WOAH I just read your thing about the Justice Legion Alpha with the crazy archetypes and I'm curious if the team consisted of more than just Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Super-Superman. If the answer is yes PLEASE tell me more because I am so curious and then tell me every single place I can read about them and when they're getting their own comic because they sound FASCINATING AS HELL.
THEY’RE GREAT.
Tumblr media
Justice Legion Alpha is actually, as their name suggests, simply the head of many Justice Legion teams - B is the future equivalent of the Titans, L the Legion of Superheroes, T Young Justice, Z the Legion of Super-Pets, and S is a bunch of Superboy clones with their own individual superpowers run by OMAC’s Brother Eye. The main team, basically the classic Justice League archetypes as screamed through a megaphone, is made up of:
Superman: Kal Kent, the latest descendant of the original Superman, is faster than a speeding tacheyon, more powerful than the gravitational pull of a collapsing star, able to leap from world to world in a single bound, a genius to the power of 10 Einstein Units, and has numerous additional senses and superpowers beyond the base Kryptonian set due to generations of breeding with other alien species, including a fifth-dimensional queen in the 67th century. His only weakness is that his powers diminish within days if away from the Super-Sun of his native system; he protects Earth.
Batman: A child of prison guards on the asylum world of Pluto, a planetwide prison break resulted in all 10,000 guards being herded into the prison stadium and being executed in front of their traumatized children over the course of days. Vowing vengeance, this child grew up to become the latest Batman, who has an IQ of 1067, knows telepathic octopus martial arts, and built a digital copy of his pre-trauma personality and installed it into the robot body of “Robin, the Toy Wonder” to keep himself in check as he guards Pluto alone.
Wonder Woman: After the Amazons colonized Venus, the Goddess of Truth - implicitly the original champion by that name - brought life to a marble sculpture, who has the aid of not only the Lasso of Truth, but a pair of sentient shapeshifting bracelets known as Harmony and Charity.
Flash: One of the two members who were around before the JLA’s debut, he’s John Fox, a Flash native to the 27th century who after an encounter with Wally West retreated into the further future due to laws against his time-travelling abilities in his own time; he joined Alpha (even though he should pretty much be a caveman by their standards) and patrols the data-mining cities of Mercury.
Starman: An odd inclusion for the ultimate superhero team outside of that stretch of time when Starman was one of the most critically acclaimed books on the stands, Farris Knight is a distant descendant of the original bearer of the name who inherited the Cosmic Rod and the duties of the name; he’s personally uninterested in heroism, but feels obligated and enjoys the perks that come with the gig. He operates out of the ruins of Uranus as caretaker to Solaris, once a deadly enemy of the Superman Dynasty but now rehabilitated as a secondary power source for the solar system.
Aquaman: King of Neptune, he’s pretty much just regular Aquaman, but in the future and with a beard made of water.
Hourman: An android built by Tyler Chemorobotics - a descendant of the company formed by the original Hourman Rex Tyler - he commands time as the possessor of the Worlogog, defends Saturn and is a mentee of the New God Metron.
Resurrection Man: Mitch Shelly, one of the few survivors of the dim and distant original age of heroes, was long ago cursed to die and be born anew each time with a different superpower - he can now trigger deaths on command with an implant and chose which power to return with. He’s the JLA’s tactical adviser, operating out of their headquarters orbiting Jupiter.
Owlwoman: Little is known of her: she joins the team after DC One Million proper, the child of parents of both the matter and anti-matter universes and able to accelerate to lightspeed on photon wings as well as breach the dimensional barrier separating her native worlds.
Atom: Another latecomer, he’s the survivor of a displaced universe, working with the JLA until he can rediscover his home; a side-effect of the accident that stranded him also allows him to divide himself into proportionately smaller individuals indefinitely, linked by a hivemind.
Tumblr media
Sans spoilers, that’s the lineup! If you want to dip your toe in I’d suggest either the DC One Million Eighty-Page Giant or Superman/Batman #79-80; if you enjoy those almost all of their appearances are collected in the DC One Million Omnibus, one of the few such collections I’d actually recommend purchasing, as it’s maybe the only event comic ever where the tie-ins are generally really good across the board (though the omnibus itself frustratingly puts a couple of those out of order; if you can find any of the single issues of the original book from the fourth week of the event, they have a proper reading order in the back). Outside what’s collected there, you can find members of Justice Legion Alpha in:
* All-Star Superman, where Kal Kent ends up appearing and playing a pretty significant role.
* Batman #700, which has the Batman of the 853rd century in a cameo.
* Hourman, a spinoff series for him by Tom Peyer and Rags Morales that was I understand unsurprisingly very good; I hear he hung with the Justice Society of America in their book for awhile too.
* JLA 80-Page Giant #2 has a bizarrely uncollected One Million story that shows a humorous tour of the solar system conducted by Kal Kent.
* Young Heroes In Love #1000000, the one issue of the event proper not collected due to some unusual rights agreement regarding that comic in general.
* The back half of Superman: Grounded, which gets good once Chris Roberson takes the story from JMS and draws on an element introduced by Kal Kent to great effect.
* They apparently make a teeny-tiny cameo in JLA Secret Files & Origins #3.
* They have a one-panel appearance in the wonderful World’s Funnest.
* The first issue of the new volume of Justice League that kicked off last week, suggesting they may be back in the near future.
* They fight the Crime Syndicate in the latter’s Convergence title, but it sucks and I fully recommend you skip it.

Magickal Month- April
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magickal Month April 2019 April is such an exciting month! This time last month, we were seeing the first flowers and signs of new life, but now we’re seeing the real greening of the world. The forests are iridescent green, the azaleas, phlox, red buds, and cherry trees are coming in, and those first signs of life have become a full-on explosion of color. I’ve been seeing the deep purple of hyacinths in important places, though they’re pretty much past at this point. The tulips and wisteria are getting ready to explode in a week or two. I really love Spring. The weather is still back and forth, and the cool days are mixing with days that seem unreasonably warm for the season. And here in the South, at least, the pine pollen is really starting to coat every single surface. So while we desperately want to keep the windows open and feel the warmer air, that’s a recipe for sinus disaster. Ahhh, the paradox of Spring. I’ve been seeing robins for a few weeks, and the hawks and crows that are around all Winter are still here, just more feisty. I just saw a squirrel chasing another one around the backyard, and that reminds me that it’s mating season. Where’s my husbear? The etymology of the word ‘April’ either comes from the Latin word meaning ‘to open’, or from Aphrodite (Roman Venus), to whom this month was dedicated. Both seem appropriate, as we get a little randy and find ourselves opening up to our world and our relationships. Go outside and experience some joy! Lunations: April 5- New Moon in Aries, 4:50am EDT April 19- Full Moon in Libra 7:12am EDT Astronomy: April 6- Kappa Serpentids meteor shower begins April 10- Jupiter goes retrograde April 23- Lyrids meteor shower begins April 24- Pluto goes retrograde April 24- Pi Puppids meteor shower begins April 30- Saturn goes retrograde Celtic Tree Month: Alder (Mar 18th- April 14th): Balance, reawakening fertility, accelerated growth (good time for business or creative ventures), harnessing your hidden potential, balancing practical and mystical, release, foundations, determination, confidence, facing things you’ve been avoiding. Willow (April 15th-May 12th): Resonance and harmony, creativity, fertility, feminine rights of passage, inspiration, love, love divination, sleep with a willow wand for vivid dreams, protection for underworld journeying, found near water, spring cleaning physically/mentally/emotionally/spiritually, letting go of the past. Holidays (non-Pagan): April 3: Isra and Mi’raj (Muslim) April 6: National Tartan Day April 14: Palm Sunday (Christian) April 15: Tax Day (a dubious holiday) April 20: First day of Passover (Jewish) April 21: Easter (Christian) April 25: Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day April 26: Arbor Day April 27: Last day of Passover (Jewish) Holidays (Pagan): April 1: Veneralia, celebrating Venus as the embodiment of love vanquishing Mars as the embodiment of war April 4-5: Greek festival of Hekate April 5-6: Mounikhion Noumenia- Greek festival honoring all gods and goddesses April 7-8: Greek festival of The Charities, goddesses of beneficience April 8-9: Greek festival honoring Aphrodite April 10-11: Greek festival honoring Artemis April 12-13: Greek festival honoring Posiedon April 14-25: Icelandic Summer Days Feast- honoring the gods, where petitions and toasts were made to them. April 20-21: Mounikhia- festival of Greek goddess Artemis April 28- May 5: Floralia- Roman festival of Flora, goddess of flowers April 30- May 2: Beltaine- Celtic festival of Blodeuwedd (goddess of flowers) and Llew (god of Oak)- celebrates love and fertility Themes for the month: Refreshing everything, renewal, growth and greening, clearing out our Winter homes from stagnant energy, leaving our cocoons and moving out into the world. Flowers, joy, excitement, celebration, fertility and creativity. General activities for the month: Getting outside! Planning and building your garden, yardwork, moongazing, birdwatching, shopping for summer clothes, spring cleaning, rebirthing yourself. Herbs I’m using: I’m really feeling connected to everything lunar right now. I’m using almonds, coconut, and vanilla in teas and desserts, and I’m adding mugwort to all my teas as well. After going within all Winter, I’m ready to connect to the magick of the outside world and nature again. Stones I’m using: Apache tears- to work through and clear away grief and mourning, salt- for cleansing and purifying, selenite- for more energetic cleansing and raising the vibration of a space. Goddess of the Month: We’re getting ready to move where we’ll be next to a swampy area that’s actually a slow-moving stream. I’m SO excited. So I’ve been looking at fresh water or river deities, and the Naiads came up in my search. I want to connect with this body of water, and I want to connect with the Naiads as well. I have the perfect place to leave offerings, I just need to figure out what they would like. 3 card reading:
Tumblr media
April 3 card reading First, we see the 3 of Pentacles reversed. This is the card of working, collaborating, and being productive. So in the reversed position, we’re not going to feel like we’re doing good work. We may be too scattered, we may not have the resources we need, or we may just not be able to focus this month. There’s too much going on, and the distractions are making us veer from what we should be doing. Next, we have The Lovers. This is a really appropriate card for this time of year, as most mammals tend to ramp up their mating rituals around now. We’re too distracted by love, romance, and sex to keep our wits about us. That’s nothing to worry about, really. Everyone else is distracted too. And finally, we see The Magician. So from all this distraction and seeming chaos, we can make things happen. We can manifest magick, as long as we take this energy and use it instead of getting lost in confusion. This is the time to take control and create our reality. Use the energy of this crazy time to propel yourself forward! Our special guidance card is One-Ring Circus. Again, we’re looking at a crazy time of action and reaction. But you we can do it! We can harness all this energy and make it into something grand and beautiful. This is our time! The Clote (Water-Lily) By William Barnes O zummer clote! when the brook’s a-glidèn So slow an’ smooth down his zedgy bed, Upon thy broad leaves so seäfe a-ridèn The water’s top wi’ thy yollow head, By alder sheädes, O, An’ bulrush beds, O, Thou then dost float, goolden zummer clote! The grey-bough’d withy’s a leänèn lowly Above the water thy leaves do hide; The bènden bulrush, a-swaÿèn slowly, Do skirt in zummer thy river’s zide; An’ perch in shoals, O, Do vill the holes, O, Where thou dost float, goolden zummer clote! Oh! when thy brook-drinkèn flow’r’s a-blowèn, The burnèn zummer’s a-zettèn in; The time o’ greenness, the time o’ mowèn, When in the häy-vield, wi’ zunburnt skin, The vo’k do drink, O, Upon the brink, O, Where thou dost float, goolden zummer clote! Wi’ eärms a-spreadèn, an’ cheäks a-blowèn, How proud wer I when I vu’st could swim Athirt the deep pleäce where thou bist growèn, Wi’ thy long more vrom the bottom dim; While cows, knee-high, O, In brook, wer nigh, O, Where thou dost float, goolden zummer clote! Ov all the brooks drough the meäds a-windèn, Ov all the meäds by a river’s brim, There’s nwone so feäir o’ my own heart’s vindèn As where the maïdens do zee thee zwim, An’ stan’ to teäke, O, Wi’ long-stemm’d reäke, O, Thy flow’r afloat, goolden zummer clote! My personal tides: The changes we’ve been building up to are finally underway. We’ve just closed on our new place, and we’re excited and terrified about all the work that needs to be done so that we can move in and start our new life. So our whole lives are all about renewal, transformation, and a fresh start. We can’t wait! I’m looking forward to decorating, gardening, organizing, minimizing, decluttering, and creating a sacred home for myself, Husbear, and the kitties. My personal goals: In spite of all the work that I have coming up, I’m also excited about what happens beyond that. I’m looking forward to setting up my office to be a spiritual, inspiring place to write, create my tarot classes, do in-person readings, and reconnect with my creativity. I’ve been so bogged down with anxiety about this change that I haven’t been able to focus on building or creating anything new, and I miss that. Read the full article

Timothy Glenn ~ 2019: Welcome to the Reset
Today we have a special treat: Timothy Glenn’s 2019 report coming in well before the Chinese New Year! I’ve hyperlinked the earlier articles he references. It’s always fun to look back on how predictions unfolded across linear time.
Personally, I’ve been feeling Saturn in Capricorn in a major way, as Saturn’s been crossing and hovering over my Capricorn North Node. As Tim mentions, even if you don’t have any obvious Capricorn in your chart, you’re still going to feel these energies in at least some area(s) of life. Both 2019 and 2020 feature a whole bevy of potent astrological alignments. Whew! Excellent times for those who’ve diligently done their Shadow Work, and a chance to awaken for those who haven’t yet … Here’s Timothy’s report:
2019: Welcome to the Reset
by Timothy Glenn
Perhaps you feel as though a gigantic hand with its index finger extended has descended from the universe, and has pressed the reset button on Planet Earth. If so, you’re far from being alone.
From the article 2018: Welcome to the Storm:
2017: SHTF (Shit Hits the Fan) 2018: SFOOTF (Shit Flies Out of the Fan)
And now we can add:
2019: SSAO (Shit Splatters All Over)
The external structures of our world are barely beginning their transmogrification. The governmental, economic, academic, religious and scientific systems of the old Matrix will have no place in the New Earth. Useful remnants of them could find a temporary place in the planetary transition, but will diminish into mere traces as the fear-based Matrix fades away, and the love-based New Earth emerges.
All Eyes on Capricorn
As noted in the article Global Metamorphosis 2018 Update, Pluto has now established itself in the third and final decanate of Capricorn. Its mission of hanging out humanity’s dirty laundry will intensify in 2019, and run headlong into 2020, when it reaches fever pitch.
Our species has a deep, dark, ugly shadow to be drawn out into the light and integrated. 2019 will start making a spectacle of people who have pretended to be “of the light” while indulging in extremely dark practices. Chief among these will be the politicians, propagandists and entertainers who have chosen the career option of deceiving the masses.
2019 will also treat us to three eclipses in Capricorn: a solar eclipse in January, a lunar eclipse in June, and another solar eclipse in December following Jupiter’s triumphal entrance into Capricorn at the beginning of the month. The stage will then be set for the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn to kick off in January of 2020. We could write volumes about the potentials of 2020, but let’s focus on the warm-up exercise of 2019.
The action in Capricorn will continue revolving around the systematic dismantling of a global power structure that has been in place at least since the time of ancient Babylon. We have seen the same group of souls incarnating along the same bloodlines for millennia. They have engineered governments, empires, religions and other control mechanisms. We can give credit where credit is due: they have mastered the science of deception. But the time has come for them and their machinations to be exposed.
The most challenging part of this for millions of well-meaning folks will be facing the dreadful realization that they have been supporting the old bedarkened system while believing the opposite. Serious delusions can die hard, but it would be far more difficult in the long haul for the human race to continue living in denial.
Getting Down to Earth
Uranus will complete its triple transit into the earthy sign of Taurus during the first week of March, and will not even begin its triple transit into Gemini until the middle of 2025. In the interim, Uranus will be complementing the intense restructuring action in Capricorn.
Dreams and visions have their necessary place, but we would all be wise to establish a strong physical presence as the Earth moves through this phase of her transition. Among our main priorities will be health and fitness, symbiotic living with the Earth, and setting clear boundaries. And once we establish our new boundaries, it would behoove us to enforce those boundaries.
Effects of this transit are discussed in the article Uranus in Taurus: The Preview. 2018 gave us a foretaste of what Uranus in Taurus can generate for us. For now, Uranus is tying up loose ends back in Aries. When he blasts his way back into Taurus in March, it will be Game On.
Saturn Sextile Neptune: A Reality Check
Saturn in Capricorn (the sign it rules) will spend all of 2019 dancing in a user-friendly sextile to Neptune in Pisces (the sign it rules). By transiting their own signs, their influence is amplified. Although not as spectacular as other astrological phenomena, the interplay of these two disparate planets will open a significant window of opportunity.
Saturn = get real. Neptune = dream on.
Are your dreams realistic? Do they harmonize with and even enhance your Soul’s purpose for this life? Saturn sextile Neptune will offer to help clear the mists of confusion, and to show us practical steps that will carry us toward the fulfillment of our Soul’s Dream.
Your genuine desires for this life may seem fanciful or even impossible to the Saturnian view of the old world, while being perfectly realistic from a spiritual perspective. We can get completely realistic about our literally infinite possibilities, cultivating the art of practical mysticism.
For those conversant in astrobabble, you might contemplate these two images: Saturn with a heart, and Neptune with a spine. Now picture them teaming up to redesign and reengineer our world.
Saturn sextile Neptune can also support our structured spiritual practices such as tai chi, qi gong, yoga, meditation, etc. It can also help us disengage from emotionally charged circumstances, and to exercise an important spiritual principle: Accept What Is.
2 + 0 + 1 + 9 = 12
The twelfth card of the tarot deck is commonly called the Hanged Man, although no one is being hanged. The character is voluntarily suspended upside down, much like a yogi doing a brain flush, employing one of the many inverted poses in yoga. I prefer to call this card The Mystic.
The Mystic (or so-called Hanged Man) represents someone who has perspectives that appear upside down according to the old world. Since the twelfth sign of the zodiac is Pisces (ruled by Neptune), the numerology for the year will strengthen Neptune’s influence.
2019 marks the first 12 year of the new millennium. Plenty of people will feel that their world is being turned upside down, but they have been part of an upside down world all along. Perhaps they can come to understand why mystics have called 3D Planet Earth “the deeper dream”. We have somehow co-created a world we could accept as “reality”, when it functions in a manner 180 degrees bass ackwards from Spirit – while simultaneously being a part of and an expression of that Spirit. 2019 also says “Welcome to the World of Paradox.”
20 + 19 = 39
The Knight of Cups is card 39. All the Knights in the deck are mounted, armored and ready to face challenges. Since the suit of Cups corresponds with the water signs in astrology, this Knight rides forth to face emotional challenges. In the Robin Wood Tarot, the Knight is mounted on a steed of the sea and is riding frothing whitecaps. The idea here is to ride those waves of dramatic emotional energy without spilling a drop from your cup.
Tumblr media
An essential element of the 19/20 sequence is forgiveness – quite the challenge for most people. Perhaps consideration of a popular meme would help: Forgiveness is not about letting someone else off the hook, but removing the hook from ourselves. We do not have to forgive for the sake of the others, but for our own sake.
Forgiveness has its roots in the genuinely unconditional Divine Love, the energetic essence of the Infinite Energy Field in its wholeness. Not dividing Itself into positive/negative, good/evil, right/wrong or any other expression of polarity, this Love is a completely neutral force. We will not achieve Transcendence into a reality founded on Divine Love unless we learn to forgive, which can be done by achieving a state of neutrality toward everything and everyone, all of which in turn is part of The Field.
One of the Knight’s messages of tough love: get over yourself.
Recapping Capricorn
You do not have to “be a Capricorn” to be powerfully impacted by the action in that sign throughout 2019 and beyond. Some folks might claim there is no Capricorn in their chart, but that is hardly the case. Capricorn was not on vacation in the Andromeda galaxy the day you were born. Its influence appears in your chart, and dominates the affairs in some area of your life.
No matter where it is placed or how significant its influence, Capricorn is becoming profoundly activated in all charts this year. It will rearrange the furniture of our world. In turn, it behooves us to proactively restructure our lives to accommodate a cosmically broader and yet much more down to Earth concept of the universe.
Capricorn’s recommendations: Open up. Reconsider everything. Let go of anything that no longer works. Build a new you. Help co-create a New Earth. And remember that for the New Earth to emerge, the old Matrix needs to be dismantled – completely.
