Fanart of Rhoun from @/ CryptidDog 's Visual Novel, "Roads Yet Traveled"! I absolutely loved reading this VN, and I'd highly recommend you check it out on his twitter ^w^
P.S., Rhoun canonically has a British accent. And by canonically I mean I made it up 🤗

I hope it's fine if I bring this back? I'm legally obligated to ramble about my stories lololol
And I feel like my explanations change every single time I talk about them, but go off.
Cursed Heritage
Set in a world where magic exists, a human girl approaches a magic school wishing to enroll. The principal of this school finds her intriguing because, after all, she's human. Not only are there no humans on that world, but she knows magic.
Tanya Fairwood came to this school with her fair share of troubles, a shadow clinging to her like toxic waste. She originally came here to hide out. After all, there's no way she could be attacked in a place where all manner of strong mages exist.
Completely fueled by survival, she doesn't expect to make friends here. And as she slowly develops those friendships, she begins to think that maybe. Just maybe things will be different.
Unfortunately, the past has a habit of rearing its ugly head and she'll soon find that fate cannot be avoided quite so easily. And if she wants to protect the life she's finally taking for herself, she'll have no choice but to face destiny itself.
Inspiration: High key, my sole inspiration behind this story was because of a VN I was playing when I first started writing this. A VN called Saint Spell's Guide to the Magical Student's Spellbook, yeah, real lengthy title lmao... But this VN had multiple routes and yet, my MC remained consistent for each and every one and I ended up head cannoning that she has time traveling magic (that is different in this story, she does not have time travel powers... But... maybe something closer?). Either way, I loved my MC so much that I decided to write a story around her.
Dark Vices
The world was always a little fucked up. With Inquisitors hunting witches down, killing them or worse torturing them; or even accusing innocent people of being witches -- point is, it had at least been manageable.
And then the Saintess was evacuated from the Sanctum, and the large church exploded. Dozens of Inquisitors were lost that day, and demons started entering that world through portals. Later, the common people would be told that a witch did all this. This event would be given the name "Calamity" and the witch who caused all this would be donned the title of "Witch of Calamity."
Just years later, a witch calling herself Isabella would wander into a small, insignificant town. After buying the barest necessities for the road, she would stumble onto a woman getting harassed in an alleyway. After sending the harassers out of the alleyway with their tails between their legs, she expects the woman to run too after seeing her display her magic.
But instead the woman invites her to her bakery!
Inspiration: This one was also inspired by a game, this time a mobile game :'D Which is called Memento Mori, a game that centers around witches on the run from people that want to kill them. The idea was small in comparison to Cursed Heritage, and I wasn't really sure if I wanted to juggle two stories at first. But the ideas kept coming and they don't stop coming-- (I'll stop now). Either way, Dark Vices was a bit harder comparatively because I didn't really have all these ideas in mind at first, it was just a vague concept... Until I started writing.
it’s been AGES since i’ve done one of these so: writeblr! what are we working on?
reblog this with your elevator pitch (and aesthetics/moodboards if you feel like it), link your WIP intros or relevant excerpts you’d like boosted, and i’ll do my damnedest to reblog everybody who responds in the next few days.
(P.S. bonus points if you tell me your favourite thing about it)

—; but “sentimental boy” is my nom de plume
word count: 1916
pairing: connor/gn!reader
genre: slight fluff; hurt no comfort
summary: it has been a year after the android revolution. humans and android alike settled down, an olive branch was offered as a sign of reconciliation. with newfound peace came along newfound love, and many open roads to choose from. this was no different for the rk800—connor. surprisingly or unsurprisingly, he decided to continue working at the dpd, this time as a bonafide detective. but he has also accepted the thrilling uncertainty of life that deviancy has brought; the same strings that brought his lover in his life.the same ones he hated and cursed, the same fates who ripped it all away.
a/n: everytime i convince myself i came out of my dbh hyperfixation i just look at connor and i become lovesick again.
gosh i know i should be finishing my other fic or work on the prologue script for my vn, but,,,,,,, i just had a sudden hankering for connor angst,,,,
written during a sleep deprivation induced moment of epiphany,,,,, (purple prose cuz im extra af uwu)
I’ve never written angst before so i’d love to hear your thoughts on it
Tumblr media
maybe if you asked him one year ago whether he’d consider returning someone’s feelings, romantic feelings, he’d reply to you with a placid smile and a polite « i’m sorry, i wasn’t programmed to reciprocate romantic interest. ». he remembered that he’d sneer at them internally. now thinking about it, long before he questioned his obedience towards her, he already showed signs of deviancy.
you did what you were designed to do.
memories from his past would still torment him erratically, doubts would resurface on particularly dark days. but you were the light that cut through that haze. this wasn’t a “fake deviancy”. it couldn’t have been. not when he is holding your body so close to his, warmth radiating off of each other, two heartbeats—similar, but different—thrumming together. all the softly whispered and adoringly announced « i love you »’s; all the quick and coveted pecks and all the feverish and passionate kisses. no, he was alive, he was sure of it—alive and absolutely enamoured by you. all semblance of doubt ebbed away when you entered his life.
whenever he’s around you, he feels more alive: you make him feel everything, all the little precious things. tenderness and adoration when he shares tranquil mornings with you. he feels more alive when he’s with you, all the little habits and routines too endearing: the sweet post-it notes scattered over your shared flat; scribbled upon it are encouraging words or sweet nothings. conflicting work schedules meant that moments spent together were scarce, but that made them even more valuable and coveted. captivation, was another emotion that he felt around you. your mannerism, your dreams and interests, your physical attributes and quality of voice. logically speaking, you were just another human, insignificant in the grand scheme of things. you’d live and then one day, you’d die. as if you never really existed. but he wasn’t being logical. how could he be? when you were right there in front of him? you made him irrational, and he found that new aspect in life thrilling. confusing at first, but exciting. he was eternally grateful that you let him experience all these beautiful emotions with you. he was grateful that you allowed him in your short journey that you called life.
he was happy, absolutely content, with his shared life with you. you were both in perfect places in your respective lives: you both had a stable job, loving family backing you up, and a fulfilling love life. what seemed to be a mismatched couple at first turned to be 2 pieces of the same puzzle finally finding their place. life for the both of you couldn’t be better.
but along with the many exquisite moment that your romantic endeavours brought you, the android didn’t only taste the sweet delicacies of life; no matter how idyllic a moment may be, there were times when he had to taste the astringent and sour desserts life offered.
anger. that was an emotion that he felt. but that’s not accurate, no… it was frustration and shock and betrayal, all the unsavoury feelings in the world. perhaps it was due to his inexperience, maybe his lack of exposure to these negative sentiments, that caused him to snap the way he did. to hurt you the way he did. but it happened and there was no turning back the clock.
no matter how much he begged and cried for it.
he was proud that you got the job offer in canada, he really was. and he, like any other caring boyfriend would, offered to accompany you there, an offer which you gladly accepted. that was the plan. but plans were difficult to follow. crime waits for no man, working for the law meant that connor must always be available for duty. no excuses, he was an android. but connor wasn’t just a simple android detective, no, he had a much more important role: he was the link, the messenger, between jericho and the police force. he was the crucial communication between the two forces. so when jericho contacted him about threats of anti-android attacks, he had to make an appearance at their base. the meeting coincided with the day you were meant to travel to canada. it was a simple trip really. it only took a few hours by train, stay in canada for 2 days (it was the weekend), and then return back to detroit, probably arriving in the late afternoons to their home.
but you were looking forwards to traveling with your wonderful partner after « [we] spent so much time apart ». the day he told you the urgent change of plans, connor was tired, overwhelmed. you were frustrated and expectant. a fight was bound to have erupted. accusatory statements, along the lines of: « you don’t actually care about me! it’s all about work and work and work! » and « i can’t believe how selfish you’re being right now! » in between shouting and yelling and frustration and anger and contempt–
you both went to bed exhausted but spiteful, still not forgiving each other. in hindsight, he felt so utterly pathetic, so unbelievably childish, for being that cruel, and uncaring. he didn’t want to be like him again. so many glares and insults were thrown at each other, tears threatened to spill, LED flashed and shone a true red, doors were slammed. he felt awful, plain and simple. you both lied in the same bed, under the same cover. so close yet so excruciatingly far apart. back facing the other’s, no one said a word.
you woke up before him. bitter and unhappy. no morning kisses, no whispered « i love you » to wake your other half. you wordlessly got yourself ready, grabbed your bag and quietly snuck out. no post it notes were left. no sweet promises or encouraging words. you could do this work trip without him. you were independent. you didn’t need a tin can to chaperone you everywhere. so you left. plain and simple. gone. since you woke up and left earlier than planned, you boarded an earlier train. how lovely and convenient. the carriages were mostly filled with androids. perhaps they were trying to immigrate to canada like the others. who knows. you paid no mind and absentmindedly scrolled through your phone, obsessively checking your messages to see if connor realised. to see if he apologised. because frankly, at that point you were tired of being mad and just wanted to spend the day in his arms. but prideful and petty as you were, you weren’t willing to apologise and admit your mistakes first.
connor roused from stasis a few moments afterward, less bitter and more regretful. he wished to right his wrongs but the normally warm presence beside him was not there. his system was slowly booting back up when his audio sensor picked up an incessant ringing from the living room. he jolted up and rushed out to pick up the ringing phone call and waited for the other side to speak up.
the room was so utterly quiet, a silence so suffocating engulfed the room, that you could hear a pin drop. the voice on the other side asked whether this was indeed your house and that he was indeed connor anderson. he swallowed dryly and answered with a soft, « yes ». running a quick check in his database, he matches the caller’s voice with a certain nathaniel edwards. first responder. he allowed his HUD to display the news. if androids could get pale, have all their blood drain from their faces, his would have certainly done so. he stood, rigid and motionless, consumed by shock and horror.
the news and the first responder’s words blended into one as he gripped the phone tighter: « this morning, at 7:48 am the train from detroit to toronto was caught in a devastating turn of events: the train soon caught in fire and exploded as it made its way over the border. it has been confirmed that there has been 0 survivors. it is unclear whether this was an unfortunate accident or the result of anti-android terrorism. »
the other person’s voice poured through the speaker but he wasn’t listening. he stared blankly in front of him. no way, he thought, it couldn’t have been… the only sign that the android was registering the other man’s input was the now constant red LED.
« sir? sir. i’m sorry to bring this— – no, this isn’t right… you must have the wrong number, he interrupted. there were probably others with your name… maybe they were mistaken... – sir that’s not possible, w— – you must have gotten the wrong house… not… it-it couldn’t have been…» but he knew how improbable it was that they got the wrong number. he was built to be logical, to believe statistics. the statistics told him you were dead. long gone. he hoped and prayed that you stayed back, didn’t get on the earlier train. the statistics told him you did.
he choked out a response, quiet and defeated. you were gone. he’d never get to see you again. « i… i’m sorry… i-i don’t understand… – we tried our best to find them sir, but… the fire was too severe… if we gain any new developm— – you didn’t save them. »
still in a daze, he must have hung up on the poor man and unceremoniously dropped the phone. its clatter the only sound in this deafening silence. the reality of it all comes crashing through and he collapsed, ugly sobs escaping him as the denial faded away to make way for the pure and unfiltered grief. he felt lost. for the first time in a long while since amanda he felt so utterly and completely lost. no more shining beacon during his dark and stormy nights. no more valued affection and coveted kisses. no more notes and no more smile to come home to.
he laughed bitterly, devoid of any humour. it was funny, just how cruel the fates were: made human life so fleeting. lachesisonly gave them such a short eternity. and when he thought you both found your missing halves, bound to another by an invisible string, atropos cuts it. a small snippet that is so easily ripped away from you. he belonged with you, he felt at peace with you. he was able to be what he struggled to be for the majority of his miserable and artificial existence. with you, he was able to be happy.
but now he’ll have to get used to not coming home to a warm embrace. he’ll have to get used to going into stasis alone, in the cold bed. he’ll have to get used to his aching heart being greeted by an empty house. every cold and lonely  nights. it’s ridiculous how human he felt because of you. and he was both thankful and spiteful for it.
sadness and bitter regret ripped through him when he remembered that he didn’t  share goodbyes before he left. he remembered how he couldn’t have apologised to you and tenderly held you. he regretted not being able to tell you how much he loved you and how much you meant to him for the last time. ra9 only knows the things he’d do and the things he’d sacrifice, just to have you in his arms again.
instead he was faced with the bitter reminder that the last thing he’s ever said to you, your last memory of him, was a contemptuous and scornful « i wished i never met you ».

Downloadable games - description Farmers Dynasty
I truly wanted to perform that game for a very long time. If anybody grasp the incident on the activity they may also be aware it was taken drink from Water collection for a period following a controversy with the game being somewhat sued perhaps for printing it. I mean that can also be a good thing. They point out there is no like this when negative PR. I enjoy Farming Simulator franchise when I go Farmer’s Dynasty and contains RPG factors like finding a husband and like I stayed ecstatic. So let's plunge in deeper into Farmer Dynasty.
I survived always a follower of farming and development games. Games like Farming Simulator and Building Simulator are among the favorite. And you should do not say me. I not say the weird VN games you keep on playing. Farmer’s Dynasty offers you a mix between developing and fixing your other farm and also farming industries and preparing help other characters. Who would get imagined that?
Tumblr media
Farmer Dynasty too allows about RPG ingredients like doing searches for new player in exchange for presents and developing connections with them. People gain away through inheriting your grandfathers farm which is a huge mess and it is up to you to bring it back to the glory. You a city boy with zero farming and design feel. I remain really it will all work splendid.
First thing I did when I leave playing remained near trying to repair the farm. For some reason it is thus enjoyable to take some time and secure it then look back on top of the farm and notice come back to lifetime. To revamp you just come near the surface you want to healing also carry out clicking. I know it does not sound like fun, but expect myself it moves top with age. So at least to me it performed.
You will also require materials to fix the farm. To get them there is a store that provides different backgrounds like real, tiles and so on. You can completely renovate the farm to help the liking. I not experience why has no other game though of doing similar to this, although I do appreciate it has eventually reached.
Tumblr media
I am like I told enough on construction and it is time to control to farming. People leave away with approximately none of the farming equipment with no money to get another one. To get admission to the farming equipment you will have to do favor for various other NPCs which will in return "present" you their childhood equipment that they no longer take any use.
After a few tedious quests have been performed with you have all your farming equipment you can start doing your own fields. Keep in mind this undertaking is boring and Farming Simulator 2020 Download will take a lots of time. All of the units have about no operating range and it will take you sooo long to have everything done i gave up halfway depression then traveled to do more construction gear for NPCs.
All of the mechanisms are simple function and disciplines are clean. There are not many choices to use, unlike Farming Simulator so everybody can easily enter it.
Tumblr media
Apart from farming you can also take care of animals. You will have to handle them daily and frequently you may get results you may either sell or store in your kitchen for the future wife to make people delicious meals.
There is besides a greenhouse where you can increase vegetables but there is not much interaction with it. You water this and disappear that to do its stuff. Whole lot more attention to detail may have gotten with it also made it a lot more realistic and difficult.
Around the place you may get NPCs that can be interacted with. They will give people various quests or you can only speak to them then enrich your connection with them. The RPG part of the game is still very entertaining with will not think fully fleshed out.
You can and receive married, but it is very simple. Only go on spamming some type of conversation with a firm NPC until you get their points higher adequate and BAM you can get married. I want it worked like that in real life.
You can have child, but I have not really gotten to that use in the entertainment yet. It is a refreshment and impressive we have not gotten in this type.
youtube
But it is not most clear. The road is big and experiences very empty. All of the machines you earn for the start are sooo slow it will lead you years to get through sense A to spit B. The NPCs become most pretty much identical and look insanely ugly.
Also the one thing that could possibly prevent that game going for years is not there. Modding. The reason the hell do you not let modding. This competition is going down for the ability to be able to mod this. I propose only look at the Farming Simulator games. Area is going on even some of the big games alive even now. It is just a bit I cannot forgive.
Farmer Dynasty offers great fresh in the kind that was the same shit for days. But it still to this day then past 2 times of expansion does not think complete. You may have fun, for sure, but clearly the energy alone will operate (pun want) you nuts. If you want to get it watch for a lower.

Taylor. As one of our most complicated characters, tying together two shows and many characters, you managed to capture Marin’s mysteriousness, while still making her human (metaphorically speaking). Marin is torn by contradictions, drawn in by a family she deserted, and running from a coven that had forsaken her. There are many forks in the road ahead of Marin, and you captured her conflicted spirit to the letter in your application. Both Emily Bennett and Marin Morrell are often neglected when it comes to fan works, and we’re excited and honored to have her in our midst, and to see how you bring her into the world of VN!
Taylor, thank you very much for applying. As for Marin…

⤜ Activity: 7/10 I am usually on daily in the afternoons and evening time. I will be a bit mia on Tuesdays & Thursdays because of other commitments.
⤜ Best form of contact: tumblr is the best
⤜ Any Triggers? nope
⤜ How did you find Vieux Noyés? From my lovely friends
⤜ What drew you to the RP? I enjoy the plot as well as the characters. It seems like a very interesting place to come rp.
⤜ What is one subplot/element from the Plot page that you are particularly looking forward to seeing in this roleplay? I’m interested in seeing what comes of the differing views of the wolves. I’m curious to see what path they choose, which Alpha they align to and such. With that, I am also very curious about the Salem witches being in town. Because they aren’t bound to the ancestors (and I think that is who Marin attached herself to). It will be exciting to see what that means for the NOLA witches.
⚜ Desired Character:  Amélie-Marin Bennett Morrell
⤜ Why do you want this character?
Her bio was one of the first to really kind of call to me. She seems like she could be a very dynamic character to play. I find it really intriguing that she is kind of two sides of one coin. She has lived the life of a witch bound to the ancestors. As she was brought up but has also lived as one that doesn’t need them calling the shots. This duality can lend itself to a very interesting bit of turmoil when it comes to being back in New Orleans. I really feel like there is so much more to her than most people would instantly see on the surface. That is what I enjoy about her. She presents this persona, but really there is so much more swirling inside of her. Just waiting to be let loose.
⤜ What are your future plans for this character? I really want to develop the Bennett family ties. I don’t really have a preference for them to be good or bad. I just want them to develop honestly. I think that could add a lot to Marin’s life. Just having this thread that ties her down. I feel like she is floating in existence not really fixed to the ground. She spent the last five years learning and traveling. But at the end of the day when she stops moving, she really doesn’t have anything to go home to. If that makes sense.  I also plan on having her work through some of her inner demons. I feel like she uses control as a way to push all of it down. She understands that she’s done dark things but I don’t think she really lets herself feel the effects they have on her.She is willing to own up to them and the consequences. Which is a good trait to have?  But I don’t know if she allows herself to really feel them. I want to explore that. Honestly, I want to explore all the things she keeps buried beneath her controlled nature.
⤜ Put yourself in your character’s shoes. Give us a few lines to describe a day in the life of your character… Where do they live? Where and how do they spend their time?
Marin has a pattern she walks every morning. She finds it soothing to keep things pretty much the same every day. There is less room for her to get lost in thought. Or ponder things that are best left in the past. Coming back to New Orleans has been both a blessing and a curse. She loves being home, starting her day with a cup of tea at her favorite little cafe. Which is happily followed with a stroll through the French Quarter. There isn’t much need for a proper schedule when you don’t really have anything tying you down. She likes it that way, likes having her freedom to do as she pleases. After she has her fill of people watching and soaking in the aura that is the Quarter. She can usually be found watching over her niece. She tries not to be too obvious about it all, just checks in on her here and there. She isn’t ready for a face to face yet. Honestly, she has no idea at all what she would say to the younger Bennett. So staying in the background is probably for the best. Other minor details of her day involve sitting in her tiny flat reading, or meeting with someone that needs her help. By someone it usually means Damon but she chooses to not really dwell on the who most days. Makes for a less cluttered brain.
⤜ Give us three headcanons regarding your character of choice.
1) Marin wonders what she would actually say to Bonnie if they were face to face. It’s something she often runs through her mind. It has been many years since she has been anything to the girl outside of blood. Which makes her nervous about ever approaching her. Though deep down Marin wants to have a good relationship with her niece. She is the only family she has left. After five years of wandering with no real connection to anyone. She feels like it would be nice to have that in Bonnie.
2) Since her last coven, during her travels, she has learned more about magic than she realized was out there. Once Marin had her eyes opened it was if there was nothing she couldn’t see or finally have within her reach. It was a bit of a distraction in a way. Gave her a direction when there was no point she was headed to. Learning all she could was always more viable than wallowing on what was lost.
3) Beneath her cool exterior, she has a bit of a wicked sense of humor. It isn’t something that she will present instantly when meeting someone. It takes time for it to slowly begin to show itself. Many would consider it dark or macabre but Marin simply considers it fitting.
⤜ What are some plots you’d like to explore with your character?
I definitely want to explore her relationship with Bonnie or lack of relationship in this case. I feel like it could be interesting for Marin to be tied back to her old life in some way. Bonnie is essentially a glimpse of the life and family she left behind so many years ago. I think a part of her longs for that portion of her. When she walked away it been something she did entirely on her own accord. The risk, however, in the end, did not outweigh the reward. Yes, she was given a new branch of magic, a new way to see things in the world but that was taken away from her just as quickly. Of course, she accepts the blame for it. She did what she did.
I am also very set on working more with the whole Salvatore brother’s aspect of her bio. Just exploring more into her agreeing to help Damon and her ‘friendship’ with Stefan.  When it comes to Damon, I feel like he is just a means to an end but with Stefan, I think there is something she actually enjoys about him. Maybe it is the depth of his feelings for the people he cares for or maybe it is how he wears his care on his sleeve. There is just something she enjoys and I want to take it apart. To find out what’s really going on in her head when it comes to Stefan. It isn’t every day she willingly puts herself around people if there was no purpose for them.
The fact that Jennifer is in the quarter is something else I am dying to play with. It’s something that Marin really can’t ignore.  It’s easy for her to tell herself that she won’t allow it to affect her. Actually standing her ground and remaining unfazed by the women is another thing altogether. Or at least appear to be unfazed. If anyone can it would be Marin but I want to see that struggle. As a recovering Jennifer addict, i can see it being difficult and her falling on the coping mechanisms she developed while away for 5 years.
Honestly, I have to say the thing I am most interested in diving into is how she is going to fair being back in New Orleans. With the ancestors and the witches, she was disowned by. I mean there is a good deal of mystical forces that are pretty pissed off at her. I want to see how she deals with that, and how she gets her deserved dues interests me a lot.

⤜ Would you like to be considered for another character if not accepted as your primary choice? Isaac Lahey
⤜ Have you read the rules?: yup I have

Any shoujo LNs/WNs recommendations?
I’m assuming this is for translated ones? |D And I do have a few!
So, obviously, the one I’m translating “The Light Beyond the Road’s End” is one of my favorite stories of all time (it’s not done yet though unfortunately). It’s a really touching and uplifting story about second chances, moving forward, and all the characters develop and support each other. I really love the female friendships in this one ;w; and the themes about life.
“The Reincarnated Princess Strikes Down Flags Again Today” is being translated by the amazing Kukkiriri and was actually what got me into reading more LNs (otherwise I would still just be reading pure VNs, oops). It’s not done yet either but I really thought it was great how mature and thoughtful the heroine is. The only odd thing about it I would say is that she’s still really young (like 12?) and though she has the mind of like a 30 year old, iirc, it’s just kind of odd to see such a mature child interact with everyone.
“The Leftover Princess and the Knights of the Round Table” is also a fantastic one. I, uh, can’t remember much about it because it’s been so long since I caught up to the manga and then stopped that I’m just waiting for it to completely finish now but the heroine was really clever and I loved the characters too. No one felt thrown under the bus.
The following are cnovels but I adored them so I think it wouldn’t hurt to give them a try if you like LNs.
“Just One Smile is Very Alluring” MY FAVORITE FLUFF STORY there’s no internal drama between the leads; instead the two of them overcome everything. Look, Xiao Nai is like /the/ standard for a man now for me LOL not only is he super clever but so so supportive of the kickass female lead. Basically cute power couple who meet in an MMORPG and then in real life. It also was adapted into a drama series and movie. Do NOT watch the movie, it’s bad. But DO watch the drama series because Yang Yang is gorgeous.
“Really, Really Miss You” Toupai is up there with Xiao Nai but I like my leads to be more black-belly, oops. This is also a super cute fluff story and it teaches you a lot of chinese recipes and ancient songs (which led to me finding one of my favorite internet singers 小曲儿 he has a beautiful voice for these songs). Anyway, both the leads are in the ancient song circle and it’s a book about voice lovers LOL (you can see why I enjoyed it so much).
“One Life, One Incarnation – Beautiful Bones“ This is the same author as “Really, Really Miss You” by the way. I really enjoyed this one too even though it’s a more subtle and slower love. The way she wrote this book makes you feel like you’re looking at a beautiful painting or a slow flowing river. Like it’s just so atmospheric and like a movie. Female lead has vague memories of her previous life and her love who died because of her. She sees his reincarnation in modern times and gets to know him again (and how he’s different yet the core principles are still the same).
“To Be A Virtuous Wife” For once a historical / period novel that doesn’t have horrible things happen to the female lead like miscarriage and extreme betrayal from imperial harem politics, etc etc. She’s a time travel who ends up in this bullied body but she’s so chill about living her life and enjoying it to the fullest that she ends up charming the male lead and the two of them are a power couple. Fluff story again.
Those are the only ones that come to the top of my head, which means they left the most favorable impressions. If I think of any more, they wouldn’t really be ones I’d recommend |D rather just ones I’ve been reading.

Trees and water: Mơ Waterfall in Huế, surrounded by the greenery of the national park. — VNS Photos Hồng Vân
Viet Nam News
by Hồng Vân
As the central region of Việt Nam boasts some of the best white-sand beaches with warming sunshine and clear water, the area’s eco tourism is often overlooked, especially the natural waterfalls, which never fail to impress travelers.
While Mơ Waterfall in Huế City mesmerises visitors with its gentle view of the green national park, Grăng Waterfall is  known as a wild beauty in the middle of the jungle in Quảng Nam Province.
To reach Mơ Waterfall in Lăng Cô Town, Phú Lộc District, one can travel from Đà Nẵng, about 40km away from Huế. Drive to the end of Trịnh Tố Tâm Street to reach An Cư Tây Village.
Time to reflect: The clear pools of Mơ Waterfall provide an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The drive is pleasant, winding past peaceful rice fields and spectacular mountains. One may also catch sight of a water buffalo leisurely enjoying dried grass or meet a hospitable farmer.
Mơ Waterfall welcomes its visitors with the dense jungle greenery, which is reflected in the cool, clear water of the falls.
Mơ Stream is fed by water from Bạch Mã National Park, 1,400 metres above sea level. Water flows down the big stones, creating pools for swimming. The bubbling sound of water mixes with the rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds to form the melodic sound of the jungle.
Locals have set up several camps near the waterfall for visitors to relax.
It’s the journey: The scenic road leading to Mơ Waterfall from Đà Nẵng.
Wild, untouched beauty
Unlike the gentle Mơ Waterfall, Grăng looks like a strip of silk shining in the middle of the old, mysterious jungle.
Grăng is located in Tà bhing Commune, Nam Giang District. It is about three km from  Highway 14D.
Senior citizens of Zo Ra Village in Tabhing Commune said Grăng in the Cơ Tu language is a type of fish.
The waterfall is associated with a mysterious legend. In the old time, when this region had yet to be discovered by humans, a stream in the foot of the waterfall was filled with grăng fish.
Every few years, the strongest grăng would manage to jump over the tall waterfall in order to become sacred fish and save the rest of the fish from death.
Check it out: Visiting Grăng Waterfall is a highlight of any trip to Quảng Nam Province. — Photo chudu24
One year, a storm hit the region hard, bringing torrential rain for a whole month. The waterfall became fiercer than ever. Even the strongest grăng fish failed to cross over the waterfall. The grăng died, and their bodies floated to the surface of the water.
Local people named the waterfall Grăng after this legendary event.
Locals said big grăng fish used to be easy to find. Some weighed up to 40kg, enough to feed the whole village. Locals still find these fish from time to time, but they are very small and quite rare.
Grăng Waterfall has three major flows at different levels. Visitors are mesmerised by the sight of water falling from 30 metres.
Travelers can set up camp nearby to rest, contemplate the landscape and enjoy the fresh air.
A trip to Quảng Nam is not complete without a visit to Sông Bung 4 Hydroelectric Power Lake, dubbed “the giant mirror in the middle of the valley.” Be sure to stop at the Zơ Ra traditional weaving village, where Cơ Tu people “weave local culture” and hold festivals where one can enjoy traditional dances and try local specialities like sticky rice and rice wine. — VNS

— VNS
