“Why are you so TALL?” from Jo
❝ Good genes? —Can’t really say, to be honest, but aren’t you glad I’m around so you don’ have t’ climb the book shelves t’ reach the ones you want? He’s only teasing, of course, evident in the way his lips twitch into a soft smile.

Jo rolled her eyes, grinning. "I know you only put them up there so people have to ask you for help." Even with his slouching and curled in shoulders, he was a whole head and neck above her. And not to mention the wingspan. "You hide the ladder, don't you?"

Turning her head, she craned her neck to look up at him. "You're sweet, but I've got my mom's voice. It'd take a demon deal." She had learned how to sing from a juke box of old metal and a few cassettes of love ballads. And a brief Britney phase.
"Sam Winchester. Are you worried about me?" She turned around, poking him lightly in the chest. Although it wasn't a bad idea. "I guess it couldn't hurt to have you there. The uh, the demon might be up on a shelf." She bit back a laugh.
❝ I guess there is some logic in that. The knowing your enemy part, not the selling-out-making-pop-songs part, though I bet you’d do it well enough. Wouldn’t recommend selling your so. ❞ The edges of his lips downturn and Sam offers the shrug of a single shoulder, seeming to go along with the point she’s made. Only arguing after a careful beat of consideration, leaning down as if to emphasize his point while also casting a curious glance over the blonde’s shoulder and into said book. ❝ Whatever your plan is, I just hope you’re not going in alone, and that you’re prepared. Y’know, I could tag along if you want. Dean an’ I haven’t had much luck this week with finding anything. An’ two heads are better than one. ❞

Chuckling, Jo just reached for the book. And then raised an eyebrow at his question. "Is it your first day? Know thine enemy, Samuel." She pulled the book from his grip. Flipping it open, she pretended to skim a page. "Or, y'know, I could ask for millions and then wheedle away a decade being a famous pop star." She winked at him.
❝ You have no proof of either of those statements. ❞ Sam jokes, smile growing wider by the second and finally he lifts and arm to easily pluck out the book in question, holding it out to Jo once he’s retrieved it from it’s designated place. Before handing it over, Sam takes a cursory glance at the cover, a single brow raised in question. ❝ Is there a reason you’re wanting to look at books on demon summoning? ❞
