Makasoul is like ideal straight shipping material and like #lowkey subversive like the way soul takes a backseat and maka’s the one leading their operation and has all of these traditionally masculine qualities like she is much more hotheaded and aggressive. They both cook dinner and soul wears a little apron. Maka has this whole hangup about not being able to protect soul. It’s so refreshing. And all that aside they just purely care for and love one another…. ❤️

#soul eater #I’ll probably never do this but I at one point wanted to write about the way intimacy is portrayed in soul eater #the weapon/meister relationship is so intimate. you really see that with soul and maka #then there are these different instances where boundaries are pushed and tested btwn weapons and meisters… it’s so interesting #then there r characters like stein who totally disregard boundaries and violate that contract and it’s its own kind of twisted intimacy #rmr that dream soul had where he was emerging out of maka’s stomach #OH GOD AND CRONA don’t get me started.
