Idk if songfics are considered cringe now but every single time I listen to Sorry If I Hurt You by Charli XCX I can't not picture an Aizawa/Hizashi angst story related to them dealing with Oboro's death. I suck at fic writing but needed to share this idea with SOMEONE

#not familiar w the song but the lyrics check out it seems #also sometimes a song inspires a fic lol—no shame in that #might i point to my own songfic on the concept of Shouta Hizashi & Nemuri coping w oboro’s death #it’s called sour apple schnapps on my ao3–I’ll pin it for a bit #ianswerthings #i love different looks into how our rooftop squad deals with their grief #namely bc i think they’d grieve so differently but so similarly #w shouta who tries not to lose himself to grief by throwing himself into work instead #& closing himself off/isolating himself in the process #meanwhile i feel hizashi would v similarly NEED to keep himself busy. keep himself distracted.#but also keep himself surrounded by people & things to keep moving forward #he & nemuri both don’t seem to let shouta get TOO far if they can help it #but after high school… it could be rlly easy to lose touch #rlly easy for shouta to isolate as he grieves & rlly easy for hizashi to lack people who are close to him while HE grieves #neither ‘’’bad’’’’ ways to grieve—there’s not a ‘’’wrong’’’ way to grieve a loss like that #but they’re different & conflicting tendencies that i find rlly interesting to dig into #bc mmmm messy tangled painful feelings are a mud pit & brother i am going on an archeological dig #whoops accidentally wrote a small essay in the tags again
