yoojung isn’t really sure if jinseok decided to join her because maybe she’d been extra annoying that day during practice about wanting to go, but not alone, or if he actually wanted to spend time with her. either way, yoojung guessed that it didn’t really matter, after all they were still going together – but still. she was a bit antsy on their way down, not really able to control her hands as they drummed idly on her phone on their way down. she hadn’t really even managed to relax once they were finally there. she wanted to do something – something to keep her hands occupied. so, when jinseok asked her what she wanted to do of course she went straight to the hanji crafting line.

it doesn’t take a terrible amount of time for them to get to the front and get into one of the classes; yoojung’s still antsy the moment they walk in. “ what are you planning on making, jinseok-ssi ? ” yoojung asks, glancing around at their options. in all honesty, she wanted to make every single one of them just to keep her hands occupied, but that wasn’t really something she was able to do. “ i think i’m ... no, no i don’t know what i’m doing either, actually. ” she chuckles.

twenty-somethings 🌱

jinseok’s and hyun’s birthdays pass in the midst of training too heavy to celebrate properly, but jinwook insists on making up for lost time. it’s been ages since jinwook’s even seen jinseok in person — and honestly, knowing that they were both back in jeju at the same time had kept jinseok close to heart for the whole trip. all three of them could use a night off to catch up with each other outside of work contexts.

jinwook gets the group together for dinner on their next free weekend. they can secure a private area on the short notice, between manager’s contacts and jinseok’s. perks of having small-time celebrity parents, supposes jinwook, though he’ll never truly understand what that life is like, no matter how many reality television series he consumes, or... pause. maybe convex could be small-time celebrities themselves, someday. fancy being recognized by their server in this very location — gunhee exits the booth to put in their orders, and jinwook tries to keep the wistfulness out of his expression as he watches him go.

he shifts gears to face jinseok. “i saw all your brother’s posts from christmas! the engagement!!” his eyes curve with a bubbly smile, as jinwook unlocks his phone screen, moving to pull up the twins’ instagram account. “this must be so exciting, ugh. how are you holding up over there? you still have your hands full with your niece too, right?”

swallowing hard, baekhyun continues to stare at the closed door in front of him. unable to knock, unable to push himself to actually enter the room ahead even after standing here for almost ten minutes because he’s scared. he’s afraid of what will happen once he enters, that he won’t be able to fix whatever’s been going on between him and jinseok since their fight;

but baekhyun wants to so bad. he wants to fix it, for the other to finally stop avoiding him.

even when he’s still thinking about backing out, the thought not leaving him alone. so close to just turning around and getting away and hurrying back into the safety of his own hotel room to wallow like the coward he is -- the reason they got into this mess in the first place, baekhyun being a fucking coward. a text message stops him, though, the vibration of his phone in his hand pulling him back. it’s seonho telling him that he’s getting back soon so they can have dinner together and it’s the push baekhyun needs. it’s the push he needs to step forward and open the door without knocking, without allowing himself any hesitation because, otherwise, baekhyun won’t get this opportunity again.

he gets inside and closes the door behind him immediately, pressing himself against the wood to make sure jinseok can’t get away as well. so, he can’t leave after a simple greeting like the last time baekhyun got in here. he looks for him, eyes searching through the room briefly before they lock onto the other boy. “we need to talk,” baekhyun says, voice more shaky than he’d like it to be, “you’ve been avoiding me.”

having only been back in korea for around a week, rose is quick to miss the feeling of the sun kissing her skin and the fresh air back home in australia. but she’s glad that korea is leaving the brittle winter behind, they’re moving into spring and soon enough the cherry blossoms will be out in full force, blanketing the streets in pink petals. rose truly loves the spring, it can’t come quick enough in her eyes. she would miss home for as long as she was here in korea, but coming back after being away for a week had it’s perks. it gives rose chance to realise what she misses.

it’s a saturday night and rose is wandering the streets, weighed down by her training bag and her bass guitar, which swamps her. she shuffles down the street, hands tucked in the front pocket of her hoodie. her blonde hair is piled up on top of her head. she knows she looks like a right old mess but no one’s going to see her, not while she’s on a late night escapade to the local corner store near seocho. she heads on in, grabbing herself ramyeon and a kimbap triangle. probably not the best idea but rose had been hard at work for a week straight. a little cheat night wouldn’t hurt her. after paying for her food and prepping her ramyeon, she drags herself outside and sits down out front, sighing with relief at the down time.

rose loved saturdays. there was something nice and refreshing about still having time to herself before having to go to bed and repeat the day over. that was one of the downsides to training, the repetition. it got boring quickly. rose attempts to mind her own business until she sees a familiar face passing by. a fellow royal trainee, one whom she hasn’t had the chance to speak to in a while. not since the new year at least. “hey jinseok. long time no talk.” she calls out, looking up from the cup of ramyeon she nurses in her hands. “how’s it going?”

i don't even know what to say to you because you're creeping in on my dream after completely giving me up for your so -called career, only to act like i just don't exist. i wouldn't even be surprised if you made it work with someone else, because lying to me would just be so .. you. i want to learn how to forgive you but i don't know how or even think i can, so can you at least tell me how to start to try?? i don't want to hate you anymore.

she falters, her bravado failing because now she’s faced with the questions that tugs away at her pain - questions she has no plausible answers to. these are things she has buried away from everyone else because she has no idea how to make her way around if even if she tries. it is frustrating but what else can she do? “i have already asked you before, what do you want me to do?” she speaks, response barely above a whisper because she doesn’t have the strength anymore. “i cannot quit now, cannot leave as i’m too far into this. jinseok, this is my only hope in becoming an actress. there is nothing else out there for me and i am not optimistic enough to continue believing that there is any other way.” she shakes her head, breathing in heavily before she continues. “i was a foolish nineteen year old when everything fell apart between us. i allowed for my mind to carry over what my heart feels and i gave you up and i’m claiming that mistake. everything that i have said to you that day was wrong but i was too clouded by my aspirations to see it then. i thought then that i had to choose, believed it fiercely and acted upon it and only now i’m learning that i do not have to. that i can make things work both ways if only i had the right person for it. my biggest mistake was perhaps thinking that you weren’t it. there are no excuses for my actions but i’m learning, i really am. i am so sorry that i couldn’t ever make it up to you.” 

it is a long tirade but she continues. “i’m acting as if you don’t exist not because i want to but because i’m afraid of how we will blow up on each other if i do. we’re colleagues in a precarious environment and i do not want to make things more terrible for you than it already is. ignoring each other is our safest avenue but believe me if we could talk, be civil, i would want for nothing more than that.” she swallows. “i did not deserve you then, i sure as hell do not deserve you now. i cannot tell you how to forgive me because i don’t want to force anything on you. but please know that if there is anything in my life that i regret, it’s the fact that i caused you so much hurt and pain that it follows us even to this day.”

                  hello everyone and happy rkfifth. this is actually my second anniversary i’ve been apart of and thats kind of wild. im going to put all me thoughts under the cut but its going to be mostly me rambling tbh lmao. 

                    it is very weird to me how long i have been apart of rookies i dont have a good track record when it comes to groups before i joined rookies. before that i would only be in a group for a couple months at most--if that. ive been known for making a new muse then just vanishing from the rp worl sixth months later. but rookies for some reason has kept me alive. at least with seonho here who despite being under a new face is the same first muse i started with a year and a half ago. can’t believe we’re half way to his second year in this group. 

                      i’ve gone through a couple of other muses to get where i am. starting with rkdongmin who became rkseonho. then that summer i brought rkkjh, jinhong was a fun muse but he ended up fading away and part of him became rkkyg ngl. before that thought i brought rkchangkyun and man i still love that muse. my french circus baby who i regret dropping every day but well--things happen :’) and then i brought rkhyunjoon back in march and i’ll forever be thankful i got into the boyz and adopted hyunjoon. he’s my top muse to write most days. and finally we’ve got trouble maker rkkyg here, yugyeom is fun to write and more recently in the last like month its gotten easier to write him. i kind of lagged when i first joined with him but now he’s rolling more. 

                         there’s a lot of people i could mention here but i’m going to keep it to short and simple and mention the muses who are most important to my muses currently. if you’re not mentioned its nothing against you i just don’t have time to talk about everyone kdjfnkjd i love u all tho 

               @rkbyunbaek​  ofc lari and baekhyun must be mentioned for seonho. baekhyun has become probably the most important person in seonho’s life. the hyung he looks up to the most and the one he trusts the most. seonho is always very happy when he gets time with baekhyun plus lari always feeds into my desire to have a thousand and one threads hahahah i love u lari

                @rkhyojeong​    as hyunjoons best friend ( and as jess has become to be one of my best friends ) its only right that you get the mention here. honestly you bringing byojeong and us making the 2hj plot has made hyunjoons muse even more imporant to me. really brought more life to him and more ideas for me in the future. i look forward to see where these two idiots will go in time

                 @rkcheri ofc also has to be mentioned for hyunjoon and plus i was going to mention jihyun and razel anyway bc she’s been such an amazing friend to me since i joined and our plots are always so much fun for both hyunjoon and seonho. and im so happy we get to write together. i love u razel

                 yugyeom has so few connections its hard to think of any that have really made impact in him other than marie’s ( @rkxayah ) jinyoung who is no longer here... @yienrk would be the next closest to jinyoung and yien is basically family to yugyeom he really looks up to and adores yien even if he tends to be super annoying at times kfdjkjdk

            other writers i greatly adore and have come to really apperciate getting to know im my time here would be @rkobon @rkchungha @rkars @rkpmh @rkmeiqi @rkmseok @rkyooa @rkdoyoung @haknyeonrk thank you all for being amazing friends and letting me bounce really domb ideas off you whenever i get them. i hope we have many more months together of writing and memeing

thread update!

okay, when have i been mean to him? please, tell me because i have no idea what you’re talking about?
